‘The Hills’ Stars Lauren Conrad, Brody Jenner Recall ‘Amazing’ Moments

‘I think it was Paris,’ LC tells MTV News of her second-chance trip to France in season three. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Tim Kash Lauren Conrad Photo: John Shearer/WireImage The cast of “The Hills” shed countless tears over boys and broken friendships during the six seasons the hit show aired on MTV. But it wasn’t all downs for the reality-TV stars; they had plenty of ups too, including the trips they got to take. When Lauren Conrad returned to the aftershow party to celebrate the “Hills” finale Tuesday night, she said one getaway in particular had become her favorite moment. “I think it was Paris,” LC told MTV News about the season-three trip she took with fellow Teen Vogue intern Whitney Port. It was an opportunity that she’d previously passed on to spend more time with her then-boyfriend Jason Wahler. “It was just this amazing moment that we got to get dressed up in gowns and attend a ball and take a motorcycle ride around Paris. “And it was just this crazy experience for the both of us,” she added. “I think that that I will always remember as my favorite moment on ‘The Hills.’ ” While Conrad remembered the romance of Paris, another onetime beau of LC’s, Brody Jenner fondly recalled his own (many, many, many) romances. “Fondest memory? Kissing all the girls, man. Why not?” he laughed. After all was said and done though, LC was happy with how the show came to an end. “I think it’s sad, but I think they had a great run,” she said. “They went on for so long. I think it’s nice they wrapped up everyone’s story. It was a happy ending.” What was your favorite “Hills” moment? Tell us in the comments! By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Tim Kash Lauren Conrad and Tim Kash Photo: MTV News Lauren Conrad is pretty busy these days , so fans were pleasantly surprised to see LC take some time out of her busy schedule to stop by the series finale aftershow for “The Hills” on Tuesday night. And while the appearance was short, it was also very sweet. As she told MTV News backstage, as soon as she was done with her final “Hills” appearance she was heading right back to work on her many, many projects. “I finished two more [books]. I have a double book tour October 5, so I’ll go around the country for I did another novel [“Sugar and Spice”] and I did a style guide [“Lauren Conrad Style”], which is really great,” she shared. “And I’ve been spending a lot of time with Kohl’s on my clothing line, which is expanding.” She added that it’s all her hard work that makes her happy these days. “I’ve been keeping busy and I get to do all these things that I love, so it’s been really great,” she said. She’s already got a lot on her plate, but LC admits there’s another big task she’d really like to try. “The only other thing I’d love to do right now is producing — I’m just kind of looking for the perfect project because I think the first thing I do I really have to love, so I want to wait until I really have enough time to commit to a series.” Finally, looking back on her time on the show, did she learn any lessons that apply to her life now? She laughed, “I didn’t learn a thing! I’m the same as I went in. I learned not to take yourself seriously!” What are you looking forward to seeing from LC next? Tell us in the comments! Joe Jonas, Demi Lovato Duet Leaks Online

‘Camp Rock 2’ track ‘Wouldn’t Change a Thing’ is about opposites trying to make their relationship work. By Jocelyn Vena Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/ WireImage In less than a month the “Camp Rock 2” soundtrack will be released, but fans are already getting a taste of what they can expect from it. In a new track leaked online, “Wouldn’t Change a Thing,” Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas sing about two people who, despite being opposites, try to make their relationship work, even if it feels at times like it won’t. In the chorus, the duo sing , “Like fire and rain/ You can drive me insane/ But I can’t stay mad at you for anything/ We’re like Venus and Mars/ We’re like different stars.” Later on in the song they sing, “We’re perfectly imperfect/ But I wouldn’t change a thing.” In an interview on Radio Disney earlier this year, Demi said, “[‘Wouldn’t Change a Thing’] is close to my heart. It’s probably one of my favorite parts of the movie.” “Camp Rock 2” will premiere on September 3 on the Disney Channel. The soundtrack, which features the new song, will be out on August 10. While some dates on their upcoming tour have been rescheduled, with the “Camp Rock 2” tour now kicking off August 7 at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois, the pair will hit the road this summer for the rest of the Jonas Brothers’ headlining trek. And despite the fact that Joe and Demi broke up in May, Lovato insists she will hold her own with the guys. “I always hold my own, get it straight!” she joked. “I’m just kidding! It’ll be fun. I’m excited. I’m representing.” And while “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” may make the set list, the guys say fans should brace themselves for a full-on JoBros tour. “It’s a Jonas Brothers tour, as usual. We just thought it’d be great to integrate [other] musical outlets as well,” Kevin said. “We thought it was a great way for our opening acts to have a place in the show as well. It’s gonna be fun, ’cause we know everybody. We’ve been doing a movie together for a while.” What do you think of Joe and Demi’s new tune? Does it make you excited for “Camp Rock 2”? The pair wed at the Villa D’este in Como, Italy, according to UsMagazine.com . They had been staying at George Clooney’s villa near Lake Como since Independence Day weekend. Clooney and girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis attended the private ceremony. Blunt wore a cream, chiffon, sweetheart-draped Marchesa gown with embroidered detail. “It was an outdoor ceremony and absolutely beautiful,” a source told UsMagazine.com. “It was an official ceremony. They are husband and wife.” The pair met in 2008 and got engaged in August 2009 to much fanfare, as Blunt joked to MTV News last year. Krasinski reportedly popped the question with a 3-carat Edwardian diamond and platinum ring from Neil Lane worth upwards of $100,000. “She’s a wonderful girl,” Krasinski has said the “Devil Wears Prada” star. “So many people say, ‘You know when you know,’ and it’s true. It’s all true.” Last December, while promoting “It’s Complicated,” Krasinski joked that his TV wedding on “The Office” was a “dry run” for the real thing. Lo Bosworth Calls ‘The Hills’ Her ‘Home Movies’

‘I just hope that people look back on it fondly,’ ‘Hills’ star says of the show’s big farewell. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias Lo Bosworth Photo: Matt Elias/ MTV News Since Lo Bosworth made the move from “Laguna Beach” to “The Hills” alongside her pal Lauren Conrad, she’s seen roommates come and go, she’s seen guys break hearts and ladies get their hearts broken, and she even gave Justin Bobby his infamous nickname . When “The Hills” comes to an end Tuesday at 10 p.m. on MTV, Bosworth thinks fans will remember it as a groundbreaking show, a sentiment echoed by Kristin Cavallari . “I hope that people remember it as a show that was a guilty pleasure, of course, but really sort of paved the way for reality TV in general,” she told MTV News. In fact, Bosworth said shows will come along and try to replace “The Hills,” but she thinks none will come close. “There was never a show like ‘The Hills’ before ‘The Hills,’ and so in that regard, it is something that is unique,” she said. “And I feel people will struggle to re-create exactly what we have been a part of. I’m happy about that.” This season, Bosworth let fans into her life a bit more, filming at her job at Smashbox as well as bringing her boyfriend, Scott, on camera. She said being on the show has definitely meant that her life memories have been preserved for all time. “You know, I just hope that people look back on it fondly in the end,” she explained. “It’s like home movies!” What will you remember “The Hills” for? James Van Der Beek Recalls His Car’s ‘Slow Death’ On ‘When I Was 17’

‘The car was basically a prophylactic on wheels,’ he laughs on this week’s episode. By Jocelyn Vena James Van Der Beek Photo: MTV News Getting a car when you’re a teenager is a pretty common rite of passage. And when James Van Der Beek was 17, his car certainly had him standing out from the crowd — thanks to its very poor condition. “With the money I had made doing theater, I purchased, for $800, a 1986, candy-apple-red Hyundai Excel,” the former “Dawson’s Creek” star recalls on this week’s episode of “When I Was 17,” which also features “Jersey Shore” star Snooki and N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell Williams. Van Der Beek added that the car had “lots of miles on it.” In the beat-up car, Van Der Beek definitely wasn’t earning any points with the ladies. “The car was basically a prophylactic on wheels,” he laughed. “We called it the stud mobile, because to ever get any action in that car, you had to have game like nobody’s business.” While the car had quite a few flaws, one of its negatives turned into a positive. “It had its own anti-theft device, which was that in order to start it, you had to pump the gas vigorously and do that at least three times,” he explained. “When I would turn corners, I would put my foot on the clutch, and if I didn’t rev the gas … it would stall.” Eventually, Van Der Beek had to say goodbye to his beloved Excel. “The car died a slow death,” he said. “And then, at one point, it got loud [and died].” “When I Was 17” — this week featuring Van Der Beek, Snooki and Pharrell Williams — airs Saturday at 11 a.m. on MTV. Nicolas Cage Says ‘Ghost Rider’ Sequel Will Offer A ‘Very Fresh Take’

Star is excited about what directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor will bring to ‘Spirit of Vengeance.’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Nicolas Cage in “Ghost Rider” Photo: Sony Nicolas Cage is pumped to head back on set and once again play the man known as both Johnny Blaze and the Ghost Rider for the sequel to the 2007 action flick. And though the second movie, tentatively titled “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance,” will deviate from the original film, he stands by that film’s merits as well. “I like it very much, very much,” he told MTV News about the script for the sequel. “By the way, I’m not knocking the first one, whatever people think. I stand by that movie as well. I thought it was a Faustian fairytale, like, if Disney were to make a movie about Faust, it would be in that vein, like a Western and a little lighter.” For the sequel, which is set to shoot in November, the “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” star said that he’s really looking forward to what writer/directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (the guys behind “Crank”) will bring to the franchise. “I’m very excited about those two,” he shared. ” ‘Cause they’re originals, and they know how to make a movie look great, and they know how to use a camera. And I think they’ll have a fresh, a very fresh take on the character.” And though he couldn’t reveal any details about the plot, Cage was able to say that the film won’t be “Ghost Rider 2,” exactly. “It’s a different trajectory, but it’s still the same guy,” he promised. “That’s all I can talk about!” Are you looking forward to the “Ghost Rider” sequel? Lindsay Lohan’s Parents React To Her Sentencing

‘Any kind of jail is harsh, especially for a young lady like Lindsay,’ Michael Lohan says on ‘Larry King.’ By Jocelyn Vena Lindsay Lohan in court on Tuesday Photo: MTV News Hours after Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail to be followed by 90 days in rehab for violating probation, her estranged father, Michael Lohan, sat down with Larry King to discuss his daughter’s punishment. In the interview, Lohan noted that he was feeling “dismay, but at the same time a little satisfaction that she’s going to rehab. But the last thing in the world I wanted was for my daughter to go to jail. … Any kind of jail is harsh especially for a young lady like Lindsay that doesn’t need jail. I’ve been there myself and I know that jail didn’t do anything for me with my addictions. She needs help.” Michael said he believes that his daughter is addicted to prescription medications and that in lieu of the jail time he would prefer it if Lindsay spent “six months or longer in an inpatient treatment facility.” At the end of the day, even with the sentence, Lohan thinks that his daughter can eventually recover from her demons. “I know she can do it. I don’t think she can, I know she can,” he said on the show. “She’s an intelligent girl. She’s got drive; when she puts her mind to something she can do anything in the world.” Meanwhile, Lohan’s mom, Dina, spoke about her daughter’s sentencing to Popeater.com . “This is so not fair to do this to my child,” she told the site. Enrique Iglesias Calls Euphoria LP He ‘Always Wanted To Make’

‘I grew up in Miami speaking Spanglish,’ he says of first bilingual album with Usher, Akon, Wisin & Yandel and more. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Garth Bardsley Enrique Iglesias in his “I Like It” music video Photo: Interscope For his club-ready single “I Like It,” Enrique Iglesias teamed up with the “Jersey Shore” crew and Pitbull. But the singer didn’t stop at reality-TV stars or Miami rappers when it came to his new LP, Euphoria, out Tuesday (July 6). The singer recruited more A-list talent, landing names like Akon, Usher and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger for his first-ever bilingual album. Iglesias’ pop disc also features popular Latin music artists like Juan Luis Guerra and Wisin & Yandel. And while he tells MTV News he was excited to hit the studio with these artists, he admitted he was really thrilled to finally be creating an album — six years in the making — that would appeal to both English- and Spanish-language listeners. “This is the album I always wanted to make,” Iglesias told MTV News, adding that he had to beg his label, Universal Republic, to allow him to produce the project this way. “I grew up in Miami speaking Spanglish,” he continued. “I’m so excited about this album. You see so much Hispanic influence everywhere. I wanted to combine both of them.” Singing in both languages — “it would push me more,” he said. Euphoria not only fulfilled Iglesias’ longtime wish of recording in his two native languages, but it also afforded him the chance to work with a number of his dream collaborators. “Usher and I had been talking for quite some time. We always wanted to work together. Usher’s a great guy, extremely talented,” he explained. Of Scherzinger, he said, “We spoke some time ago about working together, and that was fun. The Akon thing was spontaneous. He was like, ‘Can I jump on [‘One Day at a Time’]?’ ” The bottom line about Euphoria is it’s an album to please all of Iglesias’ fans. “The album’s cool. It’s very eclectic. Every single song is completely different,” he said. Are you glad Enrique’s new album will have songs both in English and Spanish? Do you think it was long overdue?
