Noah Mills and Max Ryan play Samantha’s latest conquests. By Jocelyn Vena Photo: Charles Eshelman/FilmMagic While the ladies of “Sex and the City” are, of course, at the heart of the franchise, of the franchise, the men have always been central to their story lines. And in “Sex and the City 2,” fans are greeted by some familiar faces, from husbands Harry, Steve and Mr. Big to gay besties Stanford and Anthony. (Even Carrie’s carpenter ex Aidan makes an appearance!) “It was pure joy for me. These are wonderful people and they’ve been kind to me,” said Jason Lewis, who reprised his role as Samantha Jones’ onetime flame and client, actor Smith Jerrod. “I get to come in and do the fun part!” he told MTV News. But there are some new faces in the sequel, in theaters now. Both guys happen to be Samantha’s latest conquests. The PR maven, played by Kim Cattrall, first sets her sights on Anthony’s younger construction worker brother, Nicky, played by Hollywood newcomer Noah Mills . The pair meet at Anthony’s wedding and soon end up where Samantha and her dates often do — the bedroom. And that was just fine with Mills. “You’ll see, sort of a quick, people say “love interest.” I’m not sure that love explains their relationship but I definitely have a little moment with her,” Mills laughed. “He’s sort of a New York guy. Him and Samantha, uh, meet.” Max Ryan steps in as Samantha’s other beau, an architect named Rikard; they meet in Adu Dhabi . Ryan explained that Cattrall’s character may have finally met her match. “I thought you were going to say meat … Thank god you didn’t say meat!” Ryan joked when we caught up with him at the NYC premiere on Monday, taking possible offense to the term “fresh meat.” “Well we don’t know who’s the conquest, and who’s been conquest-er.
