Jennie Finch Recalls Her ‘Shiny’ ’62 Impala On ‘When I Was 17’

‘My friends had their arms out the windows, thinking we were hard-core,’ the softball pro says. By Jocelyn Vena Jennie Finch Photo: MTV News When you’re in high school, the car you drive can have a big impact on your life in and out the classroom. For pro softball player Jennie Finch, it was where she and her friends felt the most cool. “Back when I was 17, I got the honor of driving our 1962 Chevy Impala,” Finch said of the family car in the new episode of “When I Was 17,” airing Saturday at 11 a.m. “It was completely restored. My dad did it all himself. It was sky blue. Chrome was shiny. The rims were shiny.” It wasn’t just Finch who felt powerful hopping into that Chevy. Her pal Brianna also thought they were pretty fresh in the ride. “We kind of knew it was awesome, just mainly because of all the attention we got in it,” Brianna recalled of their crew in the episode. Jennie admitted she basked in all the attention her Impala got her from the California boys she grew up with. “All the guys at school would be like, ‘Let me ride in your car. Let me check out your car,’ ” she said. “All my friends had their arms out the windows, thinking we were hard-core, rocking in our 1962 Chevy Impala.” On Saturday’s show, Drake talks about how he was an “eBay guru” when he was 17. “I used to call him up and be like, ‘Yo, what are you doing?,’ ” childhood friend Niko recalls during the episode. “And he’d be like, ‘Shopping on eBay.’ ” “When I Was 17” — this week featuring Drake, Queen Latifah and Jennie Finch — airs Saturday at 11 a.m. on MTV.

‘Iron Man 2’ Star Scarlett Johansson Talks Deleted ‘Repulsor’ Scene

‘There was a moment where there was a little bit of repulsion, a jolt of some kind,’ she tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Scarlett Johanssen Photo: MTV News If “Iron Man 2” fans heading to the theater are hoping to see what MTV News has dubbed “the repulsor moment” in the flick, they may be disappointed to find that the scene didn’t make the final cut. Those in need of a refresher can watch what we alluded to, at the 2:13 mark, in the trailer that premiered in March. But moviegoers aren’t the only ones in the dark about the moment in question. “A repulsor? Oh, yeah. … It’s not in the film?” Scarlett Johansson said when MTV News asked her about the now-deleted scene. “Am I with Robert [Downey Jr.]? I don’t know. I have not yet seen the film, so I’ll be looking out for that. “But there is a scene where Natalie is sort of cozying up to Tony, and I do have that repulsor, as you call it,” she said of her character, Natalie Romanoff, a.k.a. the Black Widow. “There was a moment where there was a little bit of repulsion, a jolt of some kind. Maybe it didn’t make it into the movie, I don’t know.” Although that particularly explosive scene didn’t make the film, Johansson relished in the action scenes that did. “It was a bit daunting at first, especially when I was watching whatever Tom Harper, our stunt coordinator, had cut together, these sequences that he was planning and choreographing,” Johansson recalled. “It was like, ‘I’m going to be doing that in how many months?’ It just seemed like it’d be really painful. And it was. It all paid off in the end.” Did you see “Iron Man 2” over the weekend? Tell us in the comments! Justin Bieber Says He Has ‘No Clue’ Why Girls Scream At Him

‘It’s pretty hard to comprehend,’ singer tells Oprah. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” Photo: Harpo In less than a year, Justin Bieber has gone from internet sensation to full-blown pop star. And, the 16-year-old stopped by “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Tuesday (May 11) to admit that he’s still trying to comprehend his fame and success. “It’s been pretty crazy coming from a little town in Canada and now being able to travel the world and do what I love,” he told Oprah. “I was just posting videos online for fun. I never really thought this was possible, so I never really dreamed of it.” “He’s got such a great team of people around him,” his mom, Pattie, said on the show. “[They] protect his character and treat him like a kid and make sure that he stays grounded and has fun. I think I would worry more if he was in high school where I wouldn’t know what he was doing, whereas now I know who he’s with and where he is all the time.” Bieber, who is currently filming a video for “Somebody to Love,” is quick to add that the people in his entourage are a tight-knit set and that he’s careful about who is added to that group. “We’re really skeptical who we let on our team. We’ve grown to be kind of like a family. It’s been incredible,” he explained. To ensure that he isn’t too inundated by the trappings of his new superstardom, Bieber takes off one day a week to be a normal kid. “We try to take off at least one day a week for me to be a regular kid, go play basketball, hang out with my friends and, you know, just do what I like to do,” he explained. “Sometimes for that day I just sleep all day because the six days before I’m exhausted.” And while he usually spends his off days doing more “normal” things like basketball, sometimes he also gets the normal treatment when his mom grounds him. “My mom takes things that I really like, like my computer, my phone. She takes my phone away for a couple of days and I’m like, ‘Oh, I need that!’ ” he said, adding there’s no way he could get out of it by saying that he’s Justin Bieber. He added, “She’ll slap me in the face!” But, unlike most teen boys, they don’t have screaming girls following them everywhere they go. “It’s pretty hard to comprehend. Like everything’s just kind of surreal,” he said, adding “I have no clue!” why they scream at him. Related Artists Justin Bieber

Kristin Cavallari Had ‘Nothing In Common’ With Ex Justin Bobby

‘The Hills’ star admits to ‘amazing chemistry’ with co-star Brody Jenner, teases new romance. By Jocelyn Vena Kristin Cavallari Photo: MTV News Audrina Patridge has moved on from on-and-off love Justin Bobby , and now it seems that her pal and “Hills” co-star Kristin Cavallari is doing the same. Despite what appeared to be a new start for Justin and Kristin at the end of last season, season six won’t see the couple taking their relationship to the next level. “That’s over. It’s done. It didn’t go very far,” Cavallari said of JB. And the split, according to Kristin, was mutually agreed upon. “I don’t think anyone’s to blame for it. I think we’re two completely different people. I mean at the end of the day we really have nothing in common.” “Hills” followers shouldn’t worry that Kristin might be heartbroken. She’s always had great chemistry with her ex-guy Brody Jenner . The newly single star could revisit that relationship, though Brody also seems to be getting close to a new lady this season. “Micaela is new to L.A., actually,” Cavallari said of Jenner’s potential love interest. “But funny enough, she’s sorority sisters with Lo. … Brody and I have been hanging out a little bit. We have amazing chemistry, so we have a great time together. But I don’t know. I don’t know if we could ever really get back together, but Micaela’s a girl that Brody started dating.” So, who else is on Kristin’s radar? Fans will have to tune in to find out. “I do … date this season, actually,” she dished. “There are some good dates and there are some bad dates, which are great for TV!” Should Kristin rekindle things with Brody or date other guys? Tell us in the comments! “The Hills: Final Season” airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT every Tuesday followed by “The City” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Lady Gaga Says She’d ‘Rather Die Onstage’ Than On Vacation

‘I’ll sleep when I’m dead, OK?’ Gaga tells audience in Sweden. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga (file) Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic With her Monster Ball Tour now continuing well into 2011 , Lady Gaga is certainly showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. In addition to playing on the road touring, Gaga has also been recording her next album and filming the music video for her song “Alejandro.” So, when she hit the stage in Sweden over the weekend, the pop singer addressed the rumors that she’s wearing herself a bit too thin these days. While singing her song “Speechless,” Gaga was anything but speechless when it came to the rumors that she’s overworked, admitting that she does work long and hard but that it’s all worth it to her. “You know when people say, ‘Lady Gaga’s really tired; she needs to take a break,’ I just think about all those times I sang in bars when nobody was singing my lyrics,” she can be seen telling her “little monsters” in a video posted online . “I’ll sleep when I’m dead, OK?” Standing on her piano bench hunched over her piano while singing the song, she later screamed out: “I’m never giving on up!” Singing the last few lines of the song, she once again addressed the crowd, noting that it’s not hard work that she fears will spell her end. “I know that I work really hard and run myself into the ground, and I also know that alcohol will kill me one day, but I would rather not die on vacation. I’d rather die onstage with all my fans,” she said, then belted the last few words of the song with fire coming out of her piano before lying down on her the bench dramatically. Recently, both Ryan Tedder and Janet Jackson have noted that while Gaga has certainly made a name for herself as an incredible performer and pop artist, they also have said that she might need to slow down a little bit before she burns herself out. Do you think Lady Gaga is working too hard, or is she just doing what she loves? Talk about it in the comments. Khloe Kardashian Confesses She Was ‘Shady Kid’ On ‘When I Was 17’

Find out just how shady she was on Saturday’s premiere episode of MTV’s ‘When I Was 17.’ By Jocelyn Vena Khloe Kardashian Photo: MTV News Fans of her reality show know that nothing comes between Khloe Kardashian and her sisters, Kourtney and Kim. On “When I Was 17,” a new MTV show premiering Saturday at 11 a.m. (and also featuring Trey Songz and Perez Hilton), they’ll get to see just how true that is. Khloe explains how she took matters into her own hands when she realized she’d be the last of the trio to graduate high school. “My sisters were my best friends. We all went to an all-girls Catholic school,” Khloe remembered. “When my sisters graduated, I felt I didn’t have friends. There was no reason for me to stay.” To ensure she’d never have to endure a single day of school without her siblings, Khloe got creative. Registering herself for home schooling seemed like the best solution, she said. “And I was kind of a shady kid,” Khloe recalled. “So I located a home school. I went there, I enrolled myself. I had my parents sign, [but] I really signed.” To her mom, Kris, the decision seemed to come out of left field. “One day I get a call from the school, asking me about these forms I had filled out and signed transferring Khloe,” mom Kris Jenner recalled. “And I was like, ‘What the hell are you talking about? Khloe’s not going to home school.’ Somehow, she convinced her dad and I that’s where she belonged.” Her parents caved and gave their permission — with one condition. “She said as long as I really did my school work I could do it,” Khloe explained. “I finished three years of high school in one year. I graduated actually when I was 17, with honors. So — in your face!” “When I Was 17″— this week featuring Trey Songz, Khloe Kardashian and Perez Hilton — premieres Saturday (May 1) at 11 a.m. on MTV.

Justin Bieber, Sean Kingston Flirt With Same Girl In ‘Eeenie Meenie’ Video

The two singers get played at a pool party in the Hollywood Hills. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber in his “Eenie Meenie” video Photo: Island, RBMG A pool party in the Hollywood Hills. If this were “The Hills,” trouble would certainly break out at some point, and someone would end up in tears. But this isn’t reality TV, it’s the new music video for the Sean Kingston/ Justin Bieber collaboration “Eenie Meenie,” and it’s the place for a young lady to play both Bieber and Kingston. Not cool. Here’s the play-by-play: While Kingston and the lady in question are flirting out on the deck, Bieber is chilling inside. But, wait — there she is flirting with Bieber while Kingston is hanging out, wondering where she went. The fickle girl eventually leaves Bieber to chill with Kingston, and then — boom — there she is with Bieber again. And, well you get it. Of course, the “eenie-meenie-miny-moe lover” eventually gets caught. While she’s chatting up Kingston, along comes Bieber, and her game is blown. The dudes are cool with it. Well, they’re not cool with her playing them, but they seem to remain friends despite both going for the same girl. It’s her fault, anyway. How does it all end? The way you kind of expect it would, with each of the guys finding new girls, obviously. Kingston recently explained how he came to work with the chart-topping pop star. “I met Justin about two years ago, before he was the teenage phenom that he is now,” he said. “I don’t really have that same chemistry with some celebrities. God just made it happen.” What do you think of Sean and Justin’s new video? Share your reviews in the comments below. Related Artists Justin Bieber Sean Kingston

Sandra Bullock Surprised She Kept Adopted Baby A Secret

Actress tells people People about being a new mother and divorcing Jesse James. By Jocelyn Vena While much of the details regarding her relationship with Jesse James , have been public knowledge, Sandra Bullock managed to keep the adoption of her son, Louis Bardo Bullock, a secret since January. And in the new issue of People, she admits even she was surprised by the fact that no one had discovered the news. “I don’t know how we got away with it,” she says about her 3-and-a-half-month-old “little man.” “He is just perfect.” In the interview, Bullock says she wanted to keep the adoption private, since she found out that Louis would be joining her family just as the buzz of awards season was gearing up and she didn’t him to be apart of the “insanity” of it all. “The first time I met Louis it was like the whole outside world just got quiet,” she recalled. “It just fit, and I never had another moment to worry again.” While the interview focused a lot on her son, she also spoke in depth about James’ infidelities and confirmed that she did file for divorce. “I had no idea about anything until that day when I got the call. It seems like a thousand years ago when this happened. All I remember thinking, ‘I need to get Louis out of here before the vultures descend,’ ” she explained. “But never in a million years did I foresee something like this happening. I wish it hadn’t, and it still doesn’t seem real.” Noting that she is adopting her son as a single parent, she says that she hopes that Louis can have a great dad like she’s seen James be to his own three kids. “I really don’t know how our paths will intersect in the future,” she said. Right now, she’s focused on raising her son, and her relationship with her future ex-husband is “a different one. A bittersweet one. One of new understanding. One of support for his recovery. One that changed my life.” Related Photos The Evolution Of: Sandra Bullock
