Kelly Clarkson Has a Blast on The X Factor UK

Someone who knows a thing or two about singing competitions performed on The X Factor UK last night. Kelly Clarkson – who won season one of American Idol , has sold 22 singles around the globe and garnered two Grammys – rocked out with a rendition of “Mr. Know It All,” the lead single off her next album… which hits stores this week! Kelly Clarkson – Mr. Know It All (X Factor UK) Tweeted Clarkson after the performance: “I just had such a fun time on X Factor in London!! Thank you to all of the “Extreme Rhythm” drummers, my band, and the production team! What a fun performance! All of the judges and the contestants I met were so sweet. I wish good luck to all of you! A special shout out to my favorite judge and Texas girl @KellyRowland and contestant @samibrooks.” The artist has given fans an early listen to a number of new tracks over the past week. Aisha Tyler to Co-Host The Talk

The Talk will have something to … talk about in the form Aisha Tyler ( Ghost Whisperer , Friends , and currently Archer ) to the panel of the CBS daytime show. Tyler joins Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood. The contracts of Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete were not renewed. She previously guest-hosted on CBS’ answer to The View , which celebrates its one-year anniversary this month, and made her debut today. Can Aisha Tyler jumpstart The Talk? As part of an attempt to revamp the year-old show, CBS has rotated in a string of guest hosts; Kris Jenner did a stint, as did Molly Shannon. Back in 2009, Tyler shot an eponymous talk show pilot for ABC that was described as a hybrid between daytime and late-night talk shows. It didn’t really pan out. Hopefully this will! My husband and I were literally at the table right behind them, and whenever someone would go on stage to say, “And tonight, with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,” I had a perfect view of Kate turning to look at William. She would smile and give a little giggle and they would look into each other#39;s eyes as if to say, “Hey, that#39;s us!” – like, it was exciting for both of them to be referred to as that. After an extended period of limbo that involved director Andrew Jarecki buying back U.S. distribution rights from The Weinstein Company, the Ryan Gosling/Kirsten Dunst true-crime drama All Good Things appears to have found a new home at Magnolia Pictures. Moreover, according to info buried on one theater’s website, the film could make its first appearance as early as next week.

Last night, CBS put an Orthodox Jewish podiatrist into a hot dog costume, broadcast sexually suggestive physical challenges, and introduced us to a red-headed bimbo who thought yarmulkes were called “Yom Kippurs.” Yes, Big Brother season has begun. The Julie Chen-hosted reality show is impressive because its premise — locking thirteen untalented individuals in a house and streaming their every move for audience’s voyeuristic pleasure — demands a repulsive sub-category of fame-seeking humans: the kind of person that masturbates in a cardboard box , knowing that his every motion will be seen by millions of people in their family room. This season, Movieline is joining in the Big Brother fun by ranking the most vile houseguests after each degrading episode. Baruch haba!
