Florida Man Kills Alzheimer’s-Ill Wife Then Commits Suicide Just another day in the Sunshine State . An Orlando-Sentinel report details the deaths of Laurence Caulfield and his wife under some pretty disturbing circumstances. Police say Caulfield mailed a relative a copy of he and his wife’s will, life insurance policies and financial info and a note stating that he was struggling badly with with his wife’s Alzheimer’s disease. The relative alerted authorities but when they went to investigate, Caulfield told them his wife had moved to Kansas to get help and to speak to his daughter. The daughter knew nothing about it. Upon return to the house, police heard a gunshot and found Caulfield dead in the backyard. They found a note in the house stating that he had killed his wife and buried her in the back of the house. Missing Woman’s Car Found After Sending Last Text About Traffic Stop Via Daily Mail A missing Kansas city woman’s car was found submerged in water after a friends said she texted hern last test “OMG, I just got pulled over again”. A body was discovered in the truck of the vehicle, though police have yet to confirm if it is the missing woman, Toni Anderson. Toni has been missing since January according to friends and family. What is peculiar about this story is Kansas City Police initially denied stopping Anderson. They also refuse to release police footage of the stop. Reed Cordish, a new Trump advisor and friend to Ivanka, has 2 lawsuits in the works for hiring people to discriminate against black folks at his club. They say reed thinks “Hitting N***ers Is Good For Business.” NYDAILY : According to three lawsuits reviewed by the Daily News, employees at ECI have on Cordish’s orders routinely discriminated against black guests at a shopping and entertainment center that the company owns in Kansas City, Missouri. The so-called “Power and Light District” is a half-million square-foot mall complete with nightclubs, bars and shops. The location opened in 2007 after Cordish teamed up with Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, a fellow real estate developer who will also join the President-elect’s administration as a White The lawsuits are from Kansas City, Missouri where Cordish and another Trump advisor, Jared Kushner, are named for racial discrimination in the Power and Light District…also known as the “Power and White District.” But the “Light District” has a dark repute among Kansas City’s black community, who refer to it as the “Power and White District,” according to at least two separate suits. A suit filed in 2014 claims Dante Combs and Adam Williams, who are black, were harassed and beaten up by white men hired by ECI to “lighten up” its “District” locations as part of an effort to keep African-Americans out. ECI won a preliminary ruling in a federal district court, but Combs and Williams are pursuing an appeal in the decision. Dante Combs and Adams Williams filed class action racial discrimination lawsuits against Cordish’s company back in 2014 after the men were beaten and harassed by white employees at one of the establishments. Nonetheless, Christina Martinez, a former manager at a “District” club, claimed in court testimony that she heard Reed Cordish himself on multiple occasions use code words such as “urbans” to refer to African-Americans. Employees were encouraged to use the code to exclude black customers, she said. ECI’s vice president Jake Miller allegedly “did not want any African-Americans” at the clubs either, Martinez continued, adding that she once saw him pick up a DJ’s microphone and exclaim, “Get that f—–g n—-r music off here.” In an allegedly blatant attempt to purge its clubs of black patrons, Martinez claimed Cordish’s company would employ so-called “rabbits.” “A ‘rabbit’ was a white kid who got free drinks to go around the District, do whatever he wanted, so long as he singled out blacks and started confrontations with them,” Martinez testified. Thomas Alexitch, a self-described “rabbit,” corroborated those allegations in a sworn affidavit. Money talks! So these brothers suing may have to settle to see any kind of loot for this attack. Show Host Served Nearly 10 Years For A Murder He Didn’t Commit A new reality show on MTV is tackling the shocking epidemic of wrongful convictions – and its disproportionate impact on the black community. “Unlocking The Truth” follows Ryan Ferguson, who spent a decade in prison for a murder he did not do, and investigator Eva Nagao as they uncover new evidence in crimes where the defendants were convicted under questionable circumstances. “This is something that is very real,” Ferguson told BOSSIP. “It could happen to anyone at any time.” There are about 2.3 million people in prison, and a little less than half are black men, according to the Bureau of Prisons. Of the number of incarcerated, the show estimates there are as many as 60,000 innocent people who are currently locked up. Ferguson himself was convicted of murder and spent his 20s behind bars, until witnesses in his case recanted. He filed an appeal, and a judge ordered him released. He now has a lawsuit pending against the prosecutors and law enforcement who pushed for his conviction. “Somebody right now is going through what I went through,” he said. “This happens to poor people, and there are racial issues as well.” Ferguson’s co-star, Nagao agreed, and said the public is interested in police accountability, especially after several recent incidents of police shooting unarmed black men. “I think it speaks to broader issues that people are interested in,” she said, “and highlights the systemic failures that there are.” The first episode sees Ferguson return to the same Kansas City, Mo. prison he’d been locked up in to visit Michael Politte, a man who said he was wrongly convicted of bludgeoning his mother and setting her on fire when he was just 14 years old. Ferguson said he planned to continue his work around wrongful convictions as long as he could because in helping others, he was helping himself. The show’s goal is to use individual cases to expose the system-wide failures within the criminal justice system – and its unequal burden on the black community, said Andrew Jenks, the show’s executive producer. “The judicial system is f**ked, needs major overhaul,” Jenks said, “and if we can play a small part in making a difference, that’s awesome.” “Unlocking The Truth” premieres Aug. 17 at 11 p.m. on MTV.
