Kelly Clarkson has had a wonderful career that has spanned over fourteen years. Clarkson won the first season of American Idol back in 2002. It’s crazy to think that she’s still as relevant as today as she was back then. Her career has continued to flourish, but Idol did not. The singing competition finally concluded earlier this year after 15 seasons. That’s a great run for any series. You’d think singing competitions would be a bit long in the tooth by now, but NBC continues to find success with two cycles of The Voice every year. Granted, there always seems to be some sort of rift with the judges on the show, but it drums up good ratings. Clarkson has enjoyed a lot of success throughout her career. She’s the first artist from the show to achieve 100 Billboard number 1 hit singles. Yes, that means the star has topped the chart at least 100 times. That’s not an easy task for anyone, so she deserves a lot of recognition for that. That said, Kelly is not about to forget where she came from. She knows American Idol gave her the career she has today. Joining singing competitions was the best way to get noticed in 2002. There was no Youtube for artists to go viral back in those days. Kelly took to Twitter to express her gratitude to the once hot Fox series. She really does have staying power and it’s not often an artist can continue to top the charts after all this time. Kelly recently signed a major record deal with Atlantic Records, so at least we know she’ll continue to release great music. It just goes to show that even though the final few seasons of American Idol were terrible, the show still served a huge purpose. It gave the likes of Kelly Clarkson a start in an industry that’s very difficult to become a star in. Clarkson even appeared on the final season of the Fox hit, but apparently Carrie Underwood was not impressed . Underwood was given a smaller segment than Clarkson. Yesterday, it was widely reported that Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna had broken up . This wasn’t some sort of unconfirmed rumor or wild tabloid speculation, either. Rob deleted all photos of Blac from Instagram, and she posted a meme about being single again after a long relationship. Most of the humor in Blac’s post was unintentional, as she and Rob were only together for about a month, and it seemed that they were the only ones who didn’t see there breakup coming. Now, however, it looks as though the unlikely couple is giving it another go, as Rob posted the above super close-up photo of himself with Blac, along with a caption in which he unconvincingly explains yesterday’s breakup drama: “Chy and I are not broken up we just feel like it would be a lot healthier for our relationship if we kept a lot more to ourselves. It’s impossible to have a positive relationship with so much negativity from the media and outsiders and we would appreciate it if everyone respects that -ChyRo” The post also addressed (and seemed to confirm) the Rob and Blac engagement rumors with two wedding ring Emojis. The funny thing is that Rob is griping about his relationship receiving too much attention from the media, when he and Blac could’ve easily kept their relationship a secret if they wanted to. We only found out the Blac-Rob relationship (still a better couple nickname than ChyRo) when they posted an intimate photo of themselves on Instagram. From there, they continued to provide regular updates on their relationship in a way that made it seem as though they not only accepted the public’s interest in their relationship, but damn well demanded. Even if Blac had gotten papped coming and going from Rob’s house, no one would’ve really believed they were anything more than just friends, because, well…it’s just so damn random. For several weeks after Kim Kardashian gave birth to her son , she kept an uncharacteristically low profile, reportedly hiding out at her mother’s house until she was ready to debut her post-baby body to the world. We think it’s safe to say the days of Kim living her life on the down-low are officially behind us: Kim posted the above photo late last night, along with a caption reading, “When you’re like I have nothing to wear LOL.” Obviously, the sight of Kim Kardashian naked is nothing new, but this is the first time we’ve seen the 35-year-old mother of two nude since she welcomed Saint West into the world back in December. This pic probably won’t “break the Internet” like Kim’s memorable nude photos for Paper magazine (boob-covering black bars are such a buzz kill), but it’s still a big moment for Mrs. Kardashian-West. Like we said, she was so reportedly so uncomfortable with her body after giving birth that she hid out at Kris Jenner’s house and went hard with trainers and nutritionists. And what better way to show how much progress she’s made than by posting a nude selfie for her 62 million followers? After all, the best progress is naked progress. That quote should be on the Kardashian coat of arms.
Randy Meisner – the singer/songwriter best known for his work with legendary rock group the Eagles – has reportedly been arrested in connection with the death of his wife, Lana Rae Meisner, who was shot and killed Sunday evening. Details are scarce at this time, but TMZ is reporting that Lana Rae called police yesterday afternoon to report a domestic disturbance. Just 90 minutes later, Randy called 911 again, this time to report that his wife had suffered a fatal gun shot wound. Meisner told police that his wife went into a bedroom with a BB gun, and he heard a gun shot shortly thereafter. The 69-year-old musician may not have been formally charged yet, but given his long history of erratic behavior and his frequent violent altercations with his wife, it is widely believed that he is being treated as a person of interest in the investigation into Lana Rae’s death. Police insiders say Meisner was hospitalized at 4:45 this morning after “acting in an altered state.” The highly-regarded bass guitarist – who’s best known for co-writing and performing on the Eagles’ 1975 hit “Take It to the Limit” – has a long history of mental instability. His children have tried to get a conservatorship on more than one occasion, and family sources say Meisner recently threatened to go on a killing spree at an Encino hospital. Sure, that sounds like a good way to spend your money. The world’s most loved-up couple at the moment, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are reportedly (probably not) planning a $2 million wedding on Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. According to Life & Style , the “VIP” guest list includes people from Hollywood, Nashville and abroad. “Gwen wants a corn maze and carnival rides, plus okra, smoked meats and barbecue,” a source told the magazine. “The dress code will be ‘Southern dressy-casual,’ like plaids, flip-flops and nice jeans.” Considering what Shelton wore to the Vanity Fair Oscar party, I’d say this is the only accurate sentence in the entire story. Also mentioned is how furious Shelton’s ex-wife, Miranda Lambert is about a wedding taking place at Shelton’s ranch, as well as Stefani’s alleged stealing of her country style. I can’t with these people. This morning Kelly Clarkson publicly declared her support for her fellow singer, slamming Luke as a bad person during an interview for Australian radio: “He's just not a good person,” Clarkson responded, when asked about her professional relationship. “We've clashed. But I can't really say anything other than that. “I wasn't there…But I can remark on his character. Unfortunately, when you have that poor of character, like, so many artists don't like you, don't like working with you, and that's not normal. “He's just not a good guy…He's just lied a lot, and I've run into a couple of bad situations. He'll just lie to people…And h's difficult to work with, kind of demeaning.” Luke co-wrote Clarkson's 2004 hit “Since U Been Gone,” which remains one of her signature songs. Even so, she claims that she only worked with him on her most recent album because she was “literally blackmailed” by her label. Kesha claims she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by Dr. Luke , but a court recently denied her request to be released from her contract with Sony and Luke.
