Kelly Clarkson has been a busy women over the past couple years. She married Brandon Blackstock in 2013. She gave birth to the couple’s first daughter, River Rose , last June. During this time period, the first-ever American Idol has covered a few tracks (watch her Shake It Off on stage now!), but has produced nearly no original music of her own. Until now! Take a listen the just-released “Heartbreak Song” below: Kelly Clarkson – “Heartbeat Song” “My fans are like, ‘You haven’t released anything in forever!’” Clarkson told On Air with Ryan Seacrest via phone early Monday morning. “And I’m like, ‘I was pregnant! I was like vomiting pregnant!'” Really, that is a very good excuse. Have you ever tried recording hit music while vomiting? It’s tough! As for why she selected this single for her new track, the artist told Seacrest: “It was one of the first ones I actually chose to record,. My music definitely reflects how I’m feeling in my life… I liked that it was still an anthem, and fun, and still had a little pop to it. But it was sweet.” The 32-year-old, meanwhile, also called in to the The Elvis Duran Morning Show just hours after dropping her new song and revealed the title of her upcoming album. “It’s called Piece By Piece. Christina Ricci is expecting her first child with her husband, James Heerdegen! The actress, 34, is several months pregnant, it was revealed this weekend. The mom-to-be’s pregnancy was revealed as she made her way through LAX Airport in a belted black dress with James Heerdegen on Saturday afternoon. After meeting on the set of her former show Pan Am, Ricci and Heerdegen, a camera technician, went public with their relationship in February 2012. A year later, they were engaged, and married soon after that. In October, the couple wed in an intimate ceremony at Manhattan’s Harold Pratt House & Peterson Hall. “I can’t wait [to call him], ‘Husband,’ because then I can really throw my weight around,” Ricci joked … just imagine after she gives birth to their offspring. The X Factor will not mark any spots on the Fox calendar next year: It has been canceled after three seasons. The American Idol-like competition never created a Kelly Clarkson or a Carrie Underwood. Can you name a single champion? Despite big names such as Britney Spears and Demi Lovato behind the judging panel, it never garnered significant ratings, either. The third season finale only drew 6.2 million viewers. “I’ve had a fantastic time over the last 12 years, both on The X Factor and American Idol ,” said executive producer and judge Simon Cowell in a statement, adding: “And apart from being lucky enough to find some amazing talent on the shows, I have always had an incredible welcome from the American public (most of the time!). Last year, for a number of reasons, I had to make a decision to return [for the first time in four years] to the U.K. version of The X Factor in 2014. So for now, I’m back to the U.K. and I want to thank FOX for being an incredible partner and I also want to thank everybody who has supported my shows. America, I’ll see you soon!”
