The first-ever American Idol winner, 31, made the exciting announcement herself over Twitter today, writing to her followers: I’m pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever 🙂 Clarkson married Brandon Blackstock in a very intimate ceremony on October 21 in Tennessee and made no secret afterward that the couple wanted to have children. Despite advice to the contrary from Adele , they went for it. Like … you know. Practice makes perfect!” she said on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno , laughing. “We do, we do. We’re trying, trying, trying!” She means it, too! It may draw slightly less fervor than the reveal of the first Kim Kardashian baby photo , but Marisa Miller has debuted son Gavin. The gorgeous model attended a San Francisco 49ers game over the weekend with the eight-month old, who is clearly bring groomed as the team’s next (adorable!) super fan. Just look at the little guy all decked out in red and cheering on the home team, who rolled to a 34-14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in a preseason game. But even this singer could not resist taking a dig at Miley Cyrus following that artist’s ridiculous routine at the MTV Video Music Awards last night, taking to Twitter and hilarious writing: “Just saw a couple performances from the VMA’s last night. 2 words…. #pitchystrippers.” Granted, Clarkson did not name Miley by name – but did any other performer prance around with a fake penis while Twerking and wearing nude-colored underwear? The Cyrus performance – both her own version of “We Can’t Stop” and her raunchy duet with Robin Thicke on “Blurred Lines” – is making waves across the World Wide Web. But for the right reasons? This just in: Kelly Clarkson is still totally talented and awesome. During a recent concert stop, the original American Idol – who is reportedly in the running for a judging spot on that show in 2014 – covered Mumford & Sons’ mega hit “I Will Wait.” And if she didn’t outdo the initial version, she at the very least made its creator awfully proud. Fox is not sitting and letting American Idol die a quiet death. With Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey all out as judges – and Keith Urban’s bags as good as packed – The Wrap has confirmed that producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick have also been let go. Both have presided over Idol since its inception, though Lythgoe left for two years in 2008. The competition flopped in Season 12, falling to season low ratings and losing its timeslot to The Big Bang Theory among 18-49-year olds. No word yet on who will replace Lythgoe and Warwick, though let’s hope they don’t bring Motown Night and other tired themes with them. As part of the show’s major shake-up, Jennifer Hudson is reportedly in as judge, with Kelly Clarkson and Adam Lambert possibly on deck.
