Christina Aguilera Addresses Divorce, National Anthem Snafu

Christina Aguilera poses naked on the latest cover of W Magazine. This might make it difficult for any reader to focus on the interview inside, but that would be a shame. Because the singer touches on two of the obstacles that made the beginning of 2011 so challenging for her: Her split from Jordan Bratman. Her forgetting of the National Anthem lyrics prior to Super Bowl XLV. On why she and Bratman got divorced : “At one time or another, we were both not angels. It got to a point where my life at home was reminding me of my own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home…” On the Super Bowl snafu : “Everything on the field at the Super Bowl was vividly bright, and I was having a moment. I got lost in the emotion of being there and I messed up the lyrics to the song.” Oh well. Christina has bounced back nicely, anchoring the panel on The Voice , this season’s top-rated new show.

‘Twilight’ Stars Return To Comic-Con For ‘Breaking Dawn’

Summit announces cast Q&A session and ‘exclusive footage’ from first part of finale. By Kara Warner Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Photo: Jun Sato/ Getty Images Attention, “Twilight” fans: Summit Entertainment announced Tuesday (June 14) via the “Twilight” Facebook page that “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” will play a significant role in the studio’s presentation at San Diego Comic-Con this year. “The studio will host one of the first panels of the day in Hall H on Thursday, July 21st dedicated to ‘The Twilight Saga’ franchise,” Summit’s statement reads. “Fans interested in the story’s final chapters will be shown exclusive footage from ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ and be treated to a filmmaker and cast Q&A session providing details on the first half of the epic two part finale, in theatres November 18, 2011.” We don’t know which castmembers will be in attendance yet, but because July 21 is still a ways away, we imagine Summit will release a few more details as the epic comic and pop-culture convention approaches. For those who have been following “Twilight” since the beginning, you will likely remember that Comic-Con 2008 was the first time the cast appeared together in public, creating a frenzy so big and shocking that other media outlets in addition to MTV News finally realized how serious the fans were about the soon-to-be blockbuster and its stars. In 2009, the stars were back for more, and their popularity had grown considerably, leading to mile-long lines outside Hall H where their panels were to take place. The three lead actors — Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner — admitted that the convention was still an intimidating place . The rest of the massive cast was also on hand for a series of appearances around San Diego, along with unveiling a slew of “New Moon” and “Twilight”-specific merchandise . Last year, Comic-Con was without any major “Twilight” action since “Eclipse” had been released already and production on “Breaking Dawn” had yet to begin. So what will happen this year? Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Flo Rida Arrested For DUI

‘Low’ rapper taken into custody in Miami Beach after admitting to police he’d been drinking. By Rob Markman Flo Rida Photo: Miguel Garcia/ Getty Images Things aren’t looking up for Flo Rida . The “Low” rapper was arrested early Thursday morning (June 9) in Miami Beach after cops noticed the 31-year-old swerving his red and black 2008 Bugatti shortly before 4 a.m. Flo (real name: Tramar Dillard) was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. According to the Miami Herald, when police signaled for Flo Rida to pull over as he drove down Fifth Street, he didn’t stop immediately but did slow down, swerving several times before pulling the vehicle over near Lennox Avenue. The rapper reportedly admitted to police that he had been drinking when cops began to administer a sobriety test. “Officer, I can’t do this,” he said. “I can’t walk a straight line. I had a few drinks.” Flo Rida then told the arresting officers that he lived close by and was able to make it home. A gathering crowd also pleaded with cops, asking them to let the hip-hop star go; a few even offered to drive him home. The rapper was arrested and taken to the Miami Beach Police Department, where he remains jailed. The hitmaker’s alcohol level was reportedly measured at 0.185. The recent arrest is not typical behavior for the pop-rapper, who is known for his high-powered club tracks like the #1 Billboard hit “Right Round.” Related Artists Flo Rida

‘Twilight’ Movie Awards Kiss ‘Shocked’ Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively

‘I’d seen it in my head many times as I closed my eyes,’ Reynolds jokes of Pattison-on-Lautner lip-lock. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson kisses Taylor Lautner at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage In 2009, Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock took the stage at the MTV Movie Awards to present the Golden Popcorn for Best Kiss. In what would become an ongoing theme over the next few years, “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart won the prize. They took the stage to raucous applause and proceeded to tease a reenactment of their onscreen smooch without actually going ahead with the deed. After winning again the next year — and finally puckering up for the crowd — 2011 rolled around and Ryan Reynolds was again picked to hand out the Best Kiss award, this time with “Green Lantern” co-star Blake Lively. Thus both Ryan and Blake had quite a view when, after the Twi-kids once again nabbed the award, Pattinson bounded down from the stage, away from Stewart and into Taylor Lautner’s arms for a seriously unexpected kiss. “I did not know that there would be a ‘Twilight’-on-‘Twilight’ kiss,” Reynolds told us days later when we caught up with him at a “Green Lantern” press event. “We had no idea.” Of course, having witnessed the inaugural “Twilight” Best Kiss win, the actor had been imagining something of the sort for years. “I’d seen it in my head many times as I closed my eyes,” Reynolds added. “But that was quite shocking, actually, that he would just run off the stage like that and attack that poor boy.” Lively’s family, for their part, were equally stunned by the smooch — and the unwelcome attention of MTV’s cameras. “My family was sitting behind them,” Lively explained. “They were like, ‘Ooooh!’ They were hiding. They were so shy.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Incubus ‘Unpack’ From Hiatus With ‘Promises, Promises’

If Not Now, When? is band’s first studio effort in nearly five years. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Kelly Marino Incubus’ Brandon Boyd Photo: MTV News Brandon Boyd knows it’s been a while — almost five years, to be exact — since Incubus last released a new studio album. And, in the time since 2006’s Light Grenades, Incubus have toured the world, released a greatest-hits album, gone on hiatus and even grown up a bit. And though that break was frustrating for the band’s fans (even if there were various side projects and solo albums to tide them over), Boyd said it was necessary. After all, without it, there probably wouldn’t be an Incubus today. “Yes, we’ve been on a ‘hiatus,’ we’ll say, in quotes — I love that word, it’s so heavily connotated — — for the past five years. And it’s not that we were burned out being in a band or being in this band; I think that we, collectively, were feeling like if we didn’t step away from this sort of monster that we created, that it would begin to consume us,” he told MTV News. “And for us to be able to come back and write music that was still pure in its ethic, to us as creative people, that we had to get a nice chunk of real life. And there’s definitely a better way to put that. We had to unpack, basically. “We had to plant some roots, lest we start to write songs about living on a tour bus. … So we had to fall in love, we had to fall out of love, we had to make homes … our drummer had a baby, Michael went off to school, I was exploring a lot of my own singular creative tendencies,” Boyd continued. “We weren’t sitting at home twiddling our thumbs or anything; all of us had a lot to do. And eventually, it got to the point where it was like, ‘It’s time.’ ” Soon, it will be time for If Not Now, When?, Incubus’ first new album since Grenades. It’s due in stores on July 12, and it finds the band exploring wide-screen sonics and space (“I’m hoping people will put the headphones on and just listen,” Boyd said) and, in doing so, also showcases Boyd’s new songwriting prowess. He attempted to say more with fewer words this time around, and his lyrics are given room to sink in — a luxury not available on the band’s previous, more hectic albums. Case in point: new single “Promises, Promises,” which finds him in prime, precise storyteller mode. “I’ve kind of played with the idea of storytelling before, but never so precisely as I have on this album … [on] two songs in particular: ‘Promises, Promises’ and another track called ‘Isadore,’ ” he explained. ” ‘Promises, Promises,’ is a story about a girl and a guy — go figure — and the girl has built up so much armor around herself with the things that she knows how to do. “And so, I used these metaphors in the song of, like, magic, like she’s an illusionist, so she creates these illusions around her,” he continued. “And she’s gotten so good at it that she meets somebody who potentially could be someone that could help her break through those illusions and those walls, she can’t really recognize that he could be the real thing, or they could be the real thing, so she’s asking him for one thing: ‘Don’t make me any promises.’ ” Are you looking forward to Incubus’ new album? ‘Breaking Dawn’ Trailer: More Squeal-Filled Fan Reactions

One viewer even pretends to faint at the sight of shirtless Taylor Lautner. By Kara Warner Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Breaking Dawn” Photo: Summit Entertainment Christmas came early for the “Twilight” fans of the world, in the form of the trailer for “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” during Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards . Two days later, and the most die-hard fans still can’t get enough of watching and re-watching the nearly two-minute extravaganza. Because we anticipated a few over-the-top enthusiastic responses, MTV News asked fans to upload their “Breaking Dawn” trailer reactions to Your.MTV.com , the top three aired on MTV’s “The Seven,” on Monday. But since we received so many wonderful reaction videos, we felt that we needed to highlight a few more. This latest group features similar themes of breathlessness, wide-eyed enthusiasm and, of course, squeals of delight. One video features five young girls perched on a couch in a room surrounded by “Team Edward” paraphernalia, all of them remaining mostly composed, until one little lady pretends to faint after seeing shirtless Taylor Lautner. The reactions from Emily and Lizzy in Haysville, Kansas, go from smiley to stunned to squealy. Also notable is the fact that a young guy is hanging out in the background, probably a brother or friend, who tries to sit through the ladies’ screams but bails halfway through. Finally, uploader ayLa94kLd submitted footage of herself and her sister’s reactions. The lively duo were the first reactors we’ve seen to offer a bit of running commentary throughout. At one point, the older sis playfully smacks her younger sister to keep her from fully freaking out. In addition to those video reactions, we have a few more thoughts, written by our readers in the comments section under the first trailer-reaction story we posted. “THAT TRAILER WAS AWESOME!!!” exclaimed Tucheer83. “I loved their reactions. Mine was worse. I was literally running around the house. I couldn’t believe [director Bill] Condon actually gave us the headboard breaking. I so love that man. No wonder Jennifer Hudson got an Oscar [for Condon’s ‘Dreamgirls’]. This guy is good!!! ‘New Moon’ used to be my favorite trailer, but Condon beat it hands down — but not by much.” “I loved the trailer,” Shari44 wrote. “My biggest squeals came when I got a glimpse of Bella looking into Edward’s eyes in her wedding veil. Just beautiful. Second squeal and a little giggle was when he was gripping the headboard during a passionate moment,” she added. “When Edward and Bella were snuggling together, then when we could see her belly with the first signs of pregnancy. Awesome trailer. Loved it all. Any Edward moment makes me sigh at the very least.” MTV News has all of the highlights from the 2011 MTV Movie Awards . Emma Watson ‘Couldn’t Compete’ With Pattinson/Lautner Kiss

‘Harry Potter’ star tells MTV News that all the Movie Awards smooching had her feeling left out. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Emma Watson at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday Photo: Steve Granitz/Getty Images Aside from the much-anticipated premiere of a new “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” clip during Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards, it was a pretty quiet night for Team Potter, who sat and watched as “Twilight” reaped (nearly) all the awards , besting “Deathly Hollows, Part 1” for Best Movie, Best Male and Female Performance, Best Fight Scene and Best Kiss. In fact, “Potter” took home just one bucket of Golden Popcorn — Tom Felton’s turn as Draco Malfoy earned him Best Villain honors — and as if that weren’t bad enough, it was the stars of “Twilight” who garnered the lion’s share of the headlines too, as everything from Robert Pattinson’s lip-lock with co-star Taylor Lautner to the squeeing reactions to the “Breaking Dawn, Part 1” trailer burned up search engines in the hours following the show. So you could imagine what it must have been like for the “Harry Potter” stars who were actually on hand for the Movie Awards — like, for example, Emma Watson, who not only lost Best Female Performance to Kristen Stewart, but didn’t even get to see the kiss between Pattinson and Lautner. “I missed this moment! I came out, and they were like, ‘Rob just missed Taylor!’ and I was like, ‘Damn!’ ” Watson told MTV News’ Josh Horowitz following the show. “I was still backstage [after introducing the ‘Deathly Hallows, Part 2’] clip, so I missed it. But, I mean, yeah, good on them!” And as if missing out on the kiss-to-end-all-kisses wasn’t bad enough, the whole lip-locking theme of the night had Watson feeling left out. Seems she was the only person who didn’t have someone to kiss. “I mean, I was really up against it. Kristen [Stewart] had two kisses, and Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman making out,” she laughed. “I mean, I couldn’t really compete!” MTV News has all of the highlights from the 2011 MTV Movie Awards .
