Twilight Saga Gals Speak on Franchise Appeal, Hot Hunks and More

Kristen Stewart is stuck traveling the globe with Taylor Lautner. That poor, poor girl. Meanwhile, a bunch of her Twilight Saga castmates gathered together for an interview with Vanity Fair, in which they each dishe on various aspects of the franchise. Let’s see what they had to say… Nikki Reed (Rosalie Cullen), on the appeal of the movies: “Bella and Edward’s love is very taboo and forbidden and I think that kind of represents all youthful relationships, because that’s what all first loves feel like… It’s sort of borderline, like, insane.” Elizabeth Reaser (Esme), on male co-stars, such as Lautner and Robert Pattinson : “Oh, it gets so old, you have no idea. It has no effect on me. They’re all gorgeous and lovely boys… You just want someone interesting and weird at a certain point. I have a massive crush on Larry David.” Bryce Dallas Howard (Victoria): “I had seen Twilight innumerable times. After I saw it for the fourth time, one of my best guy friends, for my birthday, made me Post-it notes with Robert Pattinson’s face that said, ‘Live Dangerously,’ because I was so obsessed. My husband actually said to me, ‘Do I need to be worried about this?’” Ashley Greene (Alice), on Eclipse : “You don’t have to be psychic to know how this movie’s going to do. Obviously, it’s going to be a hit.”

‘Eclipse’ TV Spots Reveal Brand-New Scenes, ‘An Army of Vampires’

Newborn Riley Biers declares, ‘I’m going to end the Cullen clan,’ in new online ‘Eclipse’ trailers. By Kara Warner Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in “Eclipse” Photo: Summit Entertainment The powers that be at Summit Entertainment sure know how to bait “Twilight” fans. With roughly four weeks to go until “Eclipse” opens , Twi-hards are atwitter about not one, but two new TV spots/trailers for the third installment unveiled Thursday (June 3). The first spot, via MSN Movies , differs from the earlier trailer revealed in March in that it’s focused on the action/tension factor: mainly, the build-up and preparation for climactic war between the vampire clans. Bella is shown looking incredulous, as she tries to grasp what is “an army of vampires.” Then it moves to Jasper standing in what looks to be an open field or battlefield — “No human army can stand against them,” he says. Cut to Edward reassuring Bella that he won’t let anything happen to her. “We’ll protect you, no matter what,” he says. A split-second later, Dr. Cullen is shown meeting with Jacob in his office, as he tries to persuade the wolf pack not to fight. The family patriarch warns it will be an “ugly fight, with lives lost.” “We’re in,” Jacob responds, followed by quick cuts to the impending battle, and Bella telling both Jacob and Edward, “We have to work together.” The trailer ends with lightening-fast shots of the intense battle sequences. The second new spot, on Fandango.com , is entitled “Missing” and centers on the character of newborn vampire Riley Biers. Scenes flash back to Riley’s unexplained (human) death and disappearance, and then the newborn is seen expressing his hatred for the Cullens. In the 30-second clip, Dr. Cullen, presumably after he has discovered Riley and his destructive plans says, “He’s creating an army of vampires.” This is followed by Riley’s passionate declaration: “I’m going to end the Cullen clan.” The rest of the TV spot features the aforementioned high-octane vampire-on-vampire, wolf-on-vampire action sequences shown previously in the original “Eclipse” trailer. ‘New Moon’ Vs. ‘Avatar’: Nikki Reed, Ke$ha, Akon Debate MTV Movie Awards Battle

‘Is it a teenage thing or is it revolutionizing-filmmaking thing?’ Tyrese Gibson asks of the face-off. By Eric Ditzian Photo: 20th Century Fox One year ago, the MTV Movie Awards featured a face-off between vampires and orphans , as “Twilight” was up for seven awards and “Slumdog Millionaire” was tapped in six categories. The battle turned into a blowout, as Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s flick nabbed five wins, and “Slumdog” was completely shut out. 2010 at the Movie Awards brings us another epic throw-down – this time between the vampires of “New Moon” and the big blue aliens of “Avatar.” Both films are nominated in five categories, including Best Movie, Best Kiss and Best Female Performance. Which one of these blockbuster titans will triumph this Sunday at the awards show? That’s up to you, because fan voting is currently under way at MovieAwards.MTV.com . But fans aren’t the only ones who have a say in the competition. That’s why we asked some of our favorite celebs who they would vote for when it comes to this heated debate: Team “Twilight” or Team “Avatar”? “That’s not a fair question,” said “Twilight” franchise star Nikki Reed. “I think I have to stick with my movie on this one, although ‘Avatar,’ there are no words.” The likes of Kim Kardashian, Marisa Miller and Stephanie Pratt sided with Reed’s choice of “New Moon.” But for every Twilighter we spoke with, there was an “Avatar” fan ready to vote the other way, like Eli Roth and Adam Lambert. Or take Akon, who said simply, “I love ‘Avatar.’ That movie is amazing.” And then there are the folks who haven’t yet hit the cinema or popped in the DVD so they can make an informed choice in the “New Moon” vs. “Avatar” debate. “I can’t vote, only because I’m narcoleptic and I never made it through either one,” confessed Ke$ha. Count Kristin Cavallari among the non-voters as well. “I haven’t seen any of the ‘Twilight’ movies or ‘Avatar,’ ” she said. “I’m so out of the loop with everything!” So which flick is going to conquer on Sunday night? Stay tuned. For now, we’ll give Tyrese Gibson the final word. “Is it a teenage thing or is it revolutionizing-filmmaking thing?” he said. “And if it’s revolutionizing, then James Cameron’s definitely going to take it.” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Nikki Reed Talks ‘Breaking Dawn’ Negotiations, MTV Movie Awards

‘I still won’t be nominated for Best Kiss, because I never kiss anyone!’ she laughs about her ‘Twilight’ character. By Ryan J. Downey Photo: MTV News When it comes to believing rumors about the “Twilight” cast, Nikki Reed has some simple advice straight out of the ’80s hip-hop playbook: Don’t believe the hype. “I think it’s kind of an obvious thing that we would all come back to do [‘Breaking Dawn’],” the 22-year-old actress told MTV News on Tuesday, addressing a rumor to the contrary that said salary disputes threatened to sideline one or more of her castmates. “The media gets involved. I mean, I didn’t really read anything that was printed,” she said, adding with a laugh: “At least the things that were printed about me.” While Reed isn’t reading the blogs, trades or tabloids, sometimes her parents are. “I get the occasional phone call from my mom or my dad going, like, ‘Hey, is this true? I heard that.’ And I’m like, ‘No! No, I’m not having a baby. No, I’m not! And yes I’m doing “Breaking Dawn”!’ [ Laughs. ] It’s always random.” A collective sigh of relief came from Twilighters worldwide when it was confirmed that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast would, in fact, reunite for director Bill Condon’s take on the fourth and final “Twilight Saga” book, “Breaking Dawn.” “Of course we’re all going to do the fourth movie. We did the first, second and third, and it makes sense, because we love the books and we want to make these movies,” she said. Perhaps wary of contributing to complicated reports herself, Reed quickly added: “I mean, I’m speaking for myself, I guess.” Reed first caught the attention of moviegoers in “Thirteen,” the 2003 teen drama she co-wrote when she was just that age herself. Reed’s “Thirteen” co-writer and director, Catherine Hardwicke, went on to cast her in the first “Twilight” movie, which launched the franchise just two years ago. Last year’s “New Moon” is nominated in multiple categories at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards , including Best Movie, but Reed insisted, “We should all win,” noting, “I’m very diplomatic.” While it seems assured that all the “Twilight” movies will end up nominated at future Movie Awards, there’s one category currently featuring two of her co-stars she’s confident she’ll never appear in. “I still won’t be nominated for Best Kiss , because I never kiss anyone!” she laughed. Kristen Stewart Panty Flash of the Day

Kristen Stewart has wrapped up her flea market grade white trash trailer park lookin’ pussy in a pair of white panties. A risky color choice for anyone who has experienced a low quality trailer park looking pussy. I am surprised she even bothered with panties…her white trash mom didn’t get knocked up by her brother wearing panties…It’s like inbred code or some shit, but instead she is treating it like it was her half of the twinkie her ghetto parents gave her for her school lunch because they didn’t have enough money to give her a whole twinkie or some shit…except instead of the sweet taste of twinkie my wife’s fat ass has grown to love, her pussy is some rancid shit, at least that’s what I assume based on her face. When bitch wears shit like this, the panty pics were bound to hit, since I’m not allowed to post the rest of them, because the paparazzi hates me, here is a link to a post I did of her in this tight outfit the other day …..when this panty shot was taken. Enjoy, if trash is your thing.

RZA Addresses Comments About The South That Offended Jay Electronica

‘Hip-hop to me is more a unifying force than a separating force,’ Wu-Tang Clan mastermind tells Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid, with additional reporting by Sway Calloway RZA Photo: MTV News The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive Jay Electronica got people heated — namely DJ Kay Slay — when he said some Southern MCs, such as Andre 3000 and Bun B, could roast cats from up North during an interview with TheMostInfluential.com last month. Electronica, ever the outspoken warrior, was very candid with the outlet. A few minutes into the topic, the conversation shifted to Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA. We all know Jay has the utmost respect for the clan from Shaolin; he shouts them out on his mixtape banger “The Ghost of Christopher Wallace.” But he admitted that he took exception to some comments from the Abbot he read years ago. “He said some real ridiculously stupid, ignorant things about some South people,” Jay said. Jay, who is from New Orleans, said he was offended when RZA was quoted questioning the intelligence of some Southern MCs while talking about the quality of lyricism. “I don’t like that,” Jay explained. “That would be like me coming to New York or another place and saying you’re of a lesser intelligence because you’re not knowledgeable about my circumstance or environment. “I took offense with RZA in that,” he added. “Peace unto RZA. That’s my brother, and RZA had a great effect on me. I wouldn’t be who I am if it wasn’t for RZA and the music he made with Wu-Tang Clan. But also RZA, you said some crazy, wild sh–. At that time, we might have had a physical altercation how I really felt about it. … Going around thinking people are slow. I just wanted to say that. Again, peace to RZA, he’s a beautiful black man. He’s done a lot for our culture, a lot for humanity in general with his music and his contribution.” Well, the RZA recently sat down and talked with MTV News’ Sway and was asked about Jay Electronica’s comments. The Wu founder wasn’t aware of Jay’s comments or his music, for that matter. RZA did have a very clear recollection of some things he said in the past about the South. “I know I said a few things about the South throughout my career in different periods,” RZA told Sway. “I don’t know the exact comment, but I remember I did an article in Rap Pages years ago, ’cause me and Master P had a talk about this years ago. I was speaking on the education level in the South, how brothers drop out … in the sixth grade — some of them because they have to go to work, some of them because of the poverty, some because they’re not interested in the education system … just a lot of crazy things that people from up North had evolved from. When I was doing this article, I was taking about my own family at first. My family comes from the South. They frying fat back in the kitchen, Grandpops didn’t have more than a sixth-grade reading level. My grandma was a welfare mom. “The truth is the truth, first of all. The South has evolved later than us,” RZA added. “Based upon where we are around. You can get a book in Harlem off the streets. Books like ‘Stolen Legacy’ the ‘Isis Paper,’ you can find this stuff in the streets of Harlem. Just walking around in Manhattan. In the South, they won’t find that in the bookstores nor the streets; they have to research it. With Internet knowledge, there’s a better chance for education for all. I felt and I seen. I got cousins out there that still live in the South. They have not picked up on the wavelength of where their mind should be. But hip-hop has helped it all evolve. Hip-hop, to me, is a blessing and a mercy for the black community first. Then I’ll say for the urban community, then I’ll say for American culture.” Also while talking to Sway, RZA noted that hip-hop doesn’t belong to just one region. The entire world has embraced it and has partial ownership. “If anybody got a question of what I say, they can ask me. I fear no man. I fear no MC’s talent,” he said. “But I definitely know when you young, you feel a certain way. At one point, we as Wu-Tang was like, ‘The whole industry is wack besides Wu-Tang.’ That was our energy, our spirit. That’s how we felt until we learned, ‘Wait a minute, hold on. That’s why they talking about that.’ Hip-hop, to me, is more a unifying force than a separating force.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines or follow the Mixtape Daily team on Twitter: @shaheemreid and @mongosladenyc .
