Lamar Odom had a two-hour meeting with L.A. Clippers management Friday, perhaps signaling that he may return to the franchise for which he last played. Lamar Odom Returning to Clippers? The 34-year-old power forward, who is still a free agent, did not have his NBA contract renewed by the Clippers after a disappointing season in 2012-13. He has been battling widely-publicized substance abuse issues as well as marital problems with wife Khloe Kardashian over the past couple of months. Nothing is on paper yet, but Lamar may get another chance at pro ball yet. “He’s been talking to them for weeks,” says a Kardashian family source. “He’s close to signing. They were definitely apprehensive but Lamar has shown huge improvement over the last few weeks and everyone around him believes he’s sober.” The L.A. Lakers are also reportedly monitoring Lamar’s situation as well. He has tried to get his life back on track since news of Odom’s crack addiction broke over the summer and he was arrested for DUI back in August. “He has a great support system. It’s all up to him at this point. He’s the one who can seriously f–k his life up,” the source adds. “But he has the tools to stay sober.” “He’s well-aware that one more false move could cost him his career.” Odom also struggled with trouble in his four-year marriage to Khloe Kardashian, 29, after infidelity rumors surfaced, and the pair are (or were) living apart. Khloe Hints At Lamar’s Drug Problem On TV Lamar is taking sobriety tests to stay with Khloe when he needs to be hiring a lawyer…those sneaky Kardashians will take him to the cleaners. According to the Huffington Post: Things could be coming to a head in Khloe Kardashian’s marriage to Lamar Odom, and it’s bleeding into “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” This week, their marital issues were all over the place, and yet they still weren’t being addressed directly, which The Stir’s Rebecca Stokes found “awkward.” It was widely reported over the summer that the NBA star was struggling with substance abuse, but that was neither confirmed nor denied on the show. What we did get was a lot of what the situation has been like for Khloe. “Lamar has been having a really tough time lately, and it’s not just black and white. There’s a lot of emotional issues,” Khloe said. “It’s really scary when nothing’s really working and then you know, if you give up, no one in his life would be able to help.” At one point, Khloe was seen defending drug addiction to Bruce Jenner, calling it a disease. As for Lamar, he was acting paranoid, calling Bruce’s phone to check that Khloe was where she said she was, among other strange actions. Reality Wanted’s Jessica Blackwell stated the obvious: something isn’t right with Lamar. “I’ve been down this road way more times that I would probably like to admit,” Khloe said. Blake McIver, who played Michelle’s friend Derek Boyd on Full House and rich kid Waldo in The Little Rascals , went from down-on-his luck vocal coach to selfie-loving Go-Go dancer . He makes a great Superman, don’t you think? McIver, 28, isn’t at all ashamed of his profession. In fact, he says he’s “found it liberating and empowering.” After being bullied while attending a Christian high school, McIver’s self-esteem suffered. “I had so much shame about my body,” he said. “I’m not hiding my body anymore.” (Please don’t hide it, Blake!) McIver says that he nearly became a “gay teen suicide statistic” at age 14 but turned to music and his loved ones to keep himself going.
