By Rob Markman Lil B I’m Gay cover art Photo: Amalgam Digital Lil B is proud to be gay — or rather he’s proud to be happy, as stated on his new album cover, which he revealed Wednesday (June 15) exclusively on “RapFix Live.” After announcing that he will be titling his next album I’m Gay, the Based God received criticism from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and other rappers and even got death threats from fans . But despite all the hoopla, B’s album isn’t quite as alarming as many suspected it would be. The cover — which was done by the “Wonton Soup” rapper’s artist friend Uncle Grumpy — was made from scratch but based off of a 1970s Ernie Barnes painting titled “Sugar Shack.” The famous painting was used in the popular ’70s sitcom “Good Times” and as the album cover to Marvin Gaye’s 1976 album I Want You. Rap group Camp Lo also threw a nod to the classic work on their 1997 debut Uptown Saturday Night. The Based God, however, put a 2011 spin on the painting, which depicted a club scene that reflected one of Barnes’ childhood experiences. B took the painting and broke it down into three parts, showing the steps that people need to take to reach “mental freedom.” “Pretty much the album cover, you see it’s the three sides of the slavery, mental slavery and mental freedom at the ending where everybody is happy,” B said to MTV News. “The reason why I did the I’m Gay album, I really seen that the hip-hop community is being very close-minded and very hateful, very violent.” The Berkeley, California, rapper feels that his polarizing album title will help take the sting out of the word “gay” and eventually lead to global acceptance. “People use evil words, money, separation, stuff like that. In honor of the sacrelicious nude movie Nude Nuns with Big Guns , all this week we’ll be paying tribute to some of the sexiest sisters ever to put on (and take off) the habit on screen. Today, we’re kicking things off with a scorching-hot performance from Mexican firebrand Cecilia Pezet , whose encounter with a naked man starts an unholy chain of erotic events in Satanico Pandemonium (1975) . Mexico is an overwhelmingly Catholic country, so tit’s only natural that audiences would thrill to the taboo of seeing ladies of the cloth get sinful on screen. In Satanico Pandemonium , also known as La Sexorcista , no less than the Devil himself drives pure, innocent (and gorgeous) Sister Maria (Cecilia Pezet) to the dark side. While gathering herbs in the fields one day, Sister Maria comes face-to-face with a naked man, who greets her and offers her an apple (Biblical reference alert!). Seeing this dude’s schlong awakens long-repressed desires in Sister Maria, who first tries to (toplessly) whip the sexy thoughts out of herself, and when that doesn’t work, gives in to the lesbian advances of another nun (who turns out to be the Devil in disguise). But her evil erotic thoughts keep getting more and more intense, leading Sister Maria to seduce first another nun and then the hapless teenage shepherd who works on the convent’s property (pulling his peter as his grandmother dozes nearby, surely one of the most awkward handjob scenes in the history of skinema). Even this doesn’t satisfy the lusts of sinful Sister Maria, leading to murder, mayhem, and a bacchnal of nude nuns (played by hooker extras recruited from the local brothel, according to screenwriter Adolfo Martinez Solares ). Satanico Pandemonium isn’t as explicit as contemporary European nunsploitation movies, which often include scenes of real lesbian action (more on those later), but Cecilia Pezet ‘s enthusiasm for the sins of the flesh (not to mention her pouty lips, cute boyish bowl cut and perky pair) really makes evil seem fun. Cecilia indulges in full frontal nudity in two separate scenes of Satanic sex, first giving a hand job to the teenage farm hand, then stripping, raping, and stabbing a fellow nun in the grip of demonic desire. Skingoria fans will also thrill to the plentiful, thoroughly Catholic imagery of topless whippings and torture. Salma Hayek ‘s character in From Dusk ‘Til Dawn was skinspired by Cecilia’s perv-formance in this nunsploitation classic- and her nude descent into demonic depravity will inspire you to do some self-flagellation, too. And the New Zealand native won’t have to travel far, since once again Jackson has set up shop in his home country for the films, which began filming two weeks ago. Variety reported that McKenzie will play the role of Lindir, an elf of Rivendell, in the 3-D films, which will be shot over the next 14 months at a studio in Wellington and other locations around New Zealand. McKenzie joins a cast that already features Martin Freeman in the lead role of Bilbo Baggins, as well as returning “Rings” vets Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett and Andy Serkis . “The Hobbit” is set 60 years before “LOTR” and follows the adventures of humble hobbit Bilbo, who rises to heroic stature as he leads a group of fellow dwarves on an epic journey to reclaim a treasure from the dragon Smaug. With the “Conchords” on permanent hiatus after wrapping their second season of the show on HBO in 2009, McKenzie was freed up to join the “Hobbit” cast. Some movie sites have already begun speculating that given his higher profile now, McKenzie may have a beefier part than the three seconds of screen time he had in “The Fellowship of the Ring” during the Council of Elrond. After that appearance, fans began referring to his character as “Figwit,” which stands for “Frodo is great … who is that?” McKenzie’s wife, Hannah, even made a short documentary about the Figwit phenomenon that she submitted to the Auckland International Film Festival in 2004. Gaga is giving some proceeds earned from the just-released “Country Road Version” of her hit song to the gay-advocacy group GLSEN. Ten days after its debut, Gaga has officially released the track, and will donate some of the proceeds from the tune to charity. A portion of the money earned from sales of “Born This Way (Country Road Version)” will go to the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which, according to the organization’s website, “strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.” The country remix of the hit song, which was co-produced by Gaga and Fernando Garibay, boasts some new lyrics that play up the track’s twangy influences. Over picked mandolin accompaniment, Gaga sings, “If I wanna make it country, baby, it’s OK/ ‘Cause I was born, I was born, I was born this way/ From London, Paris, Japan back to USA/ I was born on the road, I was born to be brave.” In February, during a chat on Gayle King’s talk show, Gaga confirmed that there would be two videos for “Born This Way.” The Nick Knight-directed, sci-fi-influenced clip for the song’s original version dropped at the tail end of February.
