Mom Says Her Son Isn’t Racist For Threatening To Kill Middle Eastern People A racist tweet sent out last week from a teenager in Bakersfield, California is getting major national attention. Via Raw Story : The tweet, since taken down along with the Twitter account, was the handiwork of a recent high school graduate whose mother stated that neither her son nor her family are racists. Posted on the eve of the anniversary of the attacks on the U.S. dating back to 2001, the tweet read: ““Gonna go kill some towel heads tomorrow in honor of 9/11, who’s with me?” Informed of the threat, Sgt. Joe Grubbs, a spokesperson for the Bakersfield Police Department, said that, while they investigate all threats, what the teen did is not illegal since he didn’t make a specific threat against a person. “Nothing about that is illegal. He’s well within his first amendment rights to say something like that,” Grubbs said, adding, “From this tweet, I don’t think there’s really anything to be scared about.” The mother of the unidentified teen initially told reporters that her son would not apologize, later issuing a statement that he was sorry, but that he would not be talking to reporters. In a statement she wrote: “I would like to state that I never said my child wouldn’t apologize. I just stated that he would not be interviewed, as he is a minor. He knows he made a huge mistake, and he is very sorry. He has been taught right from wrong and would never do something like that. My child is not racist. We are not racists. The story has been twisted. As a mother, I am protecting my child. That is my job.” Really?!?
Cop’s Photo With Man Who Tried To Stab Him Goes Viral A North Carolina cop’s uplifting Facebook photo showing his run-in with a man who tried to stab him last year has gone viral. Via NY Daily News : Raleigh Police Officer JD Boyd took to Facebook after randomly reuniting with a former suspect who nearly killed him, posting an image of the two new pals grinning side-by-side along with a touching message. “Almost a year ago this man and I were involved in a major altercation where he tried to stab me in the head and I nearly shot him,” he wrote in the post. “Today we ran into each other again.” The cop, who’s seen in uniform with his arms around an unidentified man, said he learned the man changed his ways after serving time in prison. “He now has a full-time job and has another son on the way that will be here in November,” Boyd wrote. “I was glad it ended well for us both that day and I am ecstatic now to learn that he has turned his life around and we can embrace as friends.” The post has gotten almost 190,000 likes and 66,000 shares since Tuesday. “No one is ever lost forever and as long as you continue to work to be a better version of yourself than you were yesterday things will work out eventually,” the officer wrote. If you watched Teen Mom 2 Season 6 Episode 10 last night, then you know that Chelsea Houska continued to cement her role as the most stable, functional and resilient mom to ever be featured on the show. Unfortunately, Chelsea’s d-bag baby daddy Adam Lind continues to periodically weasel his way back into her life, and he challenged her in a big way in one of last night’s more memorable scenes. Proving once again just how delusional he really is, Lind vowed to get custody after the completion of a court-ordered six-month waiting period. It’s now been over six months since that confrontation was filmed, and many fans have been left wondering if Adam made good on his threat. Fortunately, it looks like Chelsea fans can breathe easy, as Radar Online is reporting that Houska still has full custody of Aubree. “Nothing has changed,” says an insider close to Chelsea. “Aubree just started kindergarten, and Chelsea feels that her daughter needs to be comfortable with her new routine before anything else changes.” Houska and Lind did go to court in March, but not surprisingly, Adam wasn’t able to convince a judge that he was capable of providing a stable home. After all, Lind has been arrested more times than Jenelle Evans. So for now, Lind gets to see his daughter every other weekend in visits that are supervised by his parents, and Cole De Boer continues to be a bigger father figure in Aubree’s life. Jenelle and Barbara Evans set up a mediation hearing to try to figure out a custody agreement and what would work best for Jace. That’s what Babs wanted anyway. Jenelle was … classic Jenelle. They couldn’t reach an agreement, meaning the next step is court, and as they met at a restaurant to discuss this, it got pretty heated. “Court will be devastating,” Barbara tried to reason with her. “You can’t just rip him out of everything he’s ever known.” “I should have him full time, not you!” Jenelle responded. (Presumably Leah wasn’t being negligent by having sex with Corey Simms in his truck … but that’s a rumor/story for another time.) “I don’t feel comfortable giving my kids to somebody who has a problem that I don’t know what it is,” Simms explained to his attorney. “She has a problem, she’s willing to go to rehab or therapy, then all of a sudden, she comes back and she still has the problem.” “It’s best for Leah to get help, but I want to make sure the girls got all the stuff they need. I want her better for the kids’ sake.” Corey is clearly gearing up to let his ex-wife have it in court if it comes to that, so here’s hoping she gets her act together ASAP. For her sake, and the kids’ sake. Because it could get ugly.
