Lady Gaga has been betrayed. And she is none too happy about it. In an open letter posted to her Little Monsters website yesterday, the singer apologized to fans for the delay in her ” Do What U Want ” music video and blamed the snafu on people who “left me on my own to damage control any problems” following a hip operation last year. The singer talked of how she was “betrayed” by ex-employees who “gravely mismanaged” her “time and health.” “They want billions. Then they need trillions,” writes Gaga. “I was not enough for some people. They wanted more.” The artist does not call anyone out by name, but Gaga split from manager Troy Carter in November due to creative differences. “The next few months of ARTPOP will truly be its beginning,” Gaga promises. “Because those who did not care about ARTPOP’s success are now gone, and the dreams I have been planning can now come to fruition.” She then concludes with an apology and a vow: “Please forgive me that I did not foresee this coming, I never thought after all the years of hard work that those I called friends and partners would ever care so little at a time I needed them the most. “Let me be for you the Goddess that I know I truly am.” We have a strong feeling Gaga’s millions and millions of fans will allow her to do just that.

In late December, Robin Roberts posted a Facebook message that expressed gratitude to all that have helped her through a difficult period in her life, one that included a bone marrow transplant to treat a rare blood disorder. The Good Morning America anchor also referenced girlfriend Amber Laign for the first time publicly in the post, coming out as gay. Today, meanwhile, the anchor shared a photo of herself and her long-time partner at a wedding in Louisiana over the holidays. Said Roberts on air: “Next to me is my girlfriend, Amber, and my sister-in-law, Cynthia, and my brother, Butch. And it was a glorious, glorious time that weekend.” Co-anchor George Stephanopoulos then noted that everyone looks “so happy,” asking Robin whether sharing such personal information with the world has been a “good experience.” And a beaming Roberts made it clear the answer is a profound YES. “I have never been happier and healthier than I am right now,” she said. “And my year-end post was just full of gratitude and just telling everyone all that I’m grateful for, including my girlfriend Amber, who really loved me through a difficult year.” Roberts and Laign – who works as a a licensed massage therapist – have been together for 10 years.
When Lisa Robin Kelly passed away in August, a few questions were raised over the actress’ death. The 43-year old’s boyfriend and estranged husband went back and forth over who was to blame for Kelly’s death, which was initially reported to be the result of an embolism. But the autopsy from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office has now come in for the That 70s Show star and it confirms she died from multiple drug intoxication. Few other details are available, but authorities say the fatal intoxication took place by oral ingestion – and that the manner of death was accidental. Kelly portrayed Laurie Forman on the aforementioned sitcom from 1998-2006. She had been arrested several times prior to her passing, having faces charges over the years that stemmed from drunk driving to domestic assault. But she has voluntarily checked herself into a rehab facility just a couple days before she overdosed. Said Kelly’s agent soon after the sad news broke last year: “I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle.”

Summer and Steven Steele – residents of Andalusia, Alabama – have shown their pride for Nick Saban’s national title-winning football team by naming their newborn daughter Krimson Tyde. And the Internet has responded in kind… or not so in kind, to be more accurate. “I would despise my parents if they named me Krimson Tyde,” wrote one Twitter user upon learning of the moniker, while another added: “reevaluate your life if you name your kid “krimson tyde”. “I’m shocked, I didn’t think people would make such a big deal about it,” Summer Steele told Alabama Media Group. But not everyone is coming down hard on the couple. “I would definitely say to fulfill their fantasy. Stay Alabama fans and live every day to the fullest,” says Shane Broadhurst. “I hate that they’re having to go through that and hear a bunch of crap. This takes police brutality to a whole new level. Woman Had Arm Amputated Because Handcuffs Were Too Tight When someone loses an arm, it’s time for somebody’s azz to get fired. According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: A Ross woman sued Allegheny County today, claiming that sheriff’s deputies injured her arm and the jail’s former medical provider ignored her complaints, resulting in amputation. Amy J. Needham, 35, of Ross, was arrested by county sheriffs on April 2, according to the complaint. Her attorney, Marvin Leibowitz, said she was the subject of a warrant because she missed a preliminary hearing on a charge that was ultimately reduced to a disorderly conduct. When sheriff’s office employees arrived, Ms. Needham said she was using the bathroom, but they broke down the bathroom door, according to the complaint. They shocked her with a Taser, applied arm bars and wrist locks, and put on handcuffs “that were too tight,” the complaint said. That treatment, according to the complaint, caused “compartment syndrome,” which is increased pressure in a muscle compartment that can damage both muscles and nerves. Over the course of around a week in jail, according to Mr. Leibowitz, Ms. Needham made 16 requests to see a doctor, but was denied. She was finally hospitalized at UPMC Mercy where her arm was amputated above the elbow, according to the complaint. “She feels that her life is ruined,” said Mr. Leibowitz, adding that his client is a mother of three children, ages 5 to 9, and previously worked at a restaurant. “I think she’s having psychological problems. You’re 35 years old and you lose your arm.” Mr. Leibowitz said Ms. Needham is off of work awaiting a prosthesis. They have sued Sheriff William Mullen, sheriff’s Lieut. John Kearney, sheriff’s Detective Jared Kulik, Allegheny County, and Allegheny Correctional Health Services, which ran the jail infirmary through August. The complaint alleges excessive force, cruel and unusual punishment, battery and negligence, and demands more than $75,000 in damages.
