Tamery Mowry & Adam Housley Bury Late Niece Alaina Tamera Mowry and husband Adam Housley are in our thoughts as they buried their late niece on Thursday, November 15. 18-year-old Alaina Housley was a victim in the Thousand Oaks shooting that left 12 dead at the Borderline Bar & Grill after a Marine Corps veteran opened fire . After catching wind of the mass shooting, Tamera went on Twitter to respond to a tweet from Alaina’s roommate, as the young woman said Alaina was missing. Soon after, Alaina’s family confirmed her untimely death, saying in a statement : “Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks. Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.” Now, Tamera and Adam have laid their beautiful niece to rest. Tamera wrote on Instagram yesterday: “Today we lay you to rest sweet angel. I’ll miss you forever and your sweet smile. Until we meet again This quote was sent to me by my friend David. When I am having a challenging day, I cling to it.” Adam previously wrote on his own account: He was so excited to give you these flowers and as today as we celebrate his 6th birthday he says you are in his heart Alaina. We miss you so..but I know you are here and you are with him. Please be his guardian angel and Arian’s. Happy birthday Aden, as sad as we are, we are so blessed you have a heart like your cousin and we know you will carry her spirit for the rest of your life and make this world a better place. #thehousleys #adensbirrhday #alainasvoice#enough So sad…we are keeping the Housley family in our prayers at this time.

(Photo by Brian Stukes/Getty Images) Meek Mil l is gearing up for possibly the project of his life. He has confirmed the release of his fourth studio LP. In an interview with Vogue Magazine the Philadelphia MC verifies that he will be dropping a new album before the close of 2018. As per HipHopDX the forthcoming but yet to be titled effort will be released November 30. He touches on the elephant in the room regarding the anticipation. “I’ve been writing myself since I was probably, what, 8 years old. I’ve been doing this a long time, so [there’s] always pressure to be better.” The “1942 Flows” rapper also discussed his case and vows to change the probation system and the severe restrictions that are often applied to minority offenders. “Probation is like, they say, to help rehabilitate you and help you better yourself coming out of prison,” he explained. “In my mind, I never felt like I was f***ed up.” Meek says probation is “trap door that’s gonna keep you in and out of the system. You don’t even have to commit a crime to go back to prison.” He also expressed his concern regarding the poor conditions in prisons which a lot of the time cause inmates to receive incremental time. “I had to f***ing almost turn into a savage myself to even stay alive.” At this time there are no further details on the album. In the meantime you can purchase merchandising bundles on his website . You can read the entire Vogue feature here . Photo: WENN.com

Her skills were so elite, in fact, men started bombarding her DMs—but Scott isn’t here for it as she swears everybody missed the point of it all. “Good morning Love Village & welcome newbies,” she tweeted. “I don’t know who tweeted that snippet but they didn’t capture the point. There’s good intention in everything I do, particularly for couples. I’ve BEEN me baby. ALL of me. Check the discography. Peace.” Apparently, the clip is old and she prefers folks sliding into her DMs call her “Ms. Monsta Mind” instead of “big head.” “Meet and greet? Sure. Anything else? Nope. I didn’t post that old ass snippet. Piss on whoever did! I would’ve, at least, posted that damn point of it all. Trust, there’s always purpose in what I do. Is it us or does it seem like Wiz Khalifa got a new visual dropping every week or every other week? We ain’t complaining, just sayin.’ For this week’s installment of “Holyfield,” the Pittsburgh spitter gives viewers a look at his life when he isn’t performing or recording and simply meeting fans, peers, and putting in that MMA work to keep himself in shape. We pity the fool who picks a fight with Wiz. Work hard and play hard must be Wiz’s motto cause in the visuals to K Camp’s “Clouds” the two rappers lay back and burn on some sticky icky while models blow bubble in the air. As ancient as that toy is it’s still pretty useful in 2018, right? Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from Asher Roth, Lil Durk featuring Young Dolph and Lil Baby, and more. Folks, we’re gonna step into the Wayback Machine for a moment and transport you directly to 2009. A fresh-faced Barack Obama had just moved into the White House; the global economy was still reeling from the Great Recession; and the Tiger Woods cheating scandal dominated tabloid headlines. For our younger readers who may not remember the revelation that Woods’ obsession with holes extended beyond the golf course, allow us to summarize it thusly: Tiger Woods slept with all the women. Actually, to be fair, it’s not totally clear if he was still sleeping with his wife with any regularity, but in 2009, he was definitely banging everyone who wasn’t his wife. Another figure from the bygone oughts who factors into today’s sordid tale is Duane Chapman, otherwise known as Dog the Bounty Hunter. There was a time when networks were allowed to produce reality shows that focused on things other than real estate and reproduction. During this time, Dog reigned supreme, combining the most bonkers elements of Cops and Intervention to form a weird hybrid product in which he would tackle people and then lecture them about their life choices. How do the tales of these two fallen heroes intersect? Well to explain that, we need to introduce you to Jamie Jungers. Jungers was one of Woods’ mistresses , and it seems her life hit the skids in a major way in the years since she parted ways with the golfer. Fortunately, Dog emerged from retirement to come to Jamie’s rescue. In a wild interview with Radar Online, Chapman tells the tale of saving Jungers’ life by rescuing her from a drug house where she was exchanging sexual favors for heroin: “She was 88 pounds when we got her and the handcuffs wouldn’t even go on her wrists because they were so skinny. She was going to die in the next few weeks,” Dog tells Radar. “These guys were holding her in a house where she was giving sexual favors for drugs,” he adds. “She told me she was trading drugs for sex with guys at four or five houses.” Hilariously, Chapman thinks we need to know the professions of Jamie’s johns: “One was the top investigator for one of the biggest insurance companies in the U.S. Another guy was in construction,” he tells the website. Champman goes on to say that Jungers fully blames Woods for the current state of her life: “She said she blames Tiger,” he reveals. “She said all these dirty motherf–kers wanted to f–k me just because I had f–ked Tiger Woods, and before I knew it all these people were coming into my life because of drugs and I’m a f–cking junkie now and I hate it.” Well, Tiger might be partially responsible, but it seems like there’s a lot of blame to go around in this case. This has been the first in what we hope will be many installments of Dog vs. Tiger . View Slideshow: Tiger Woods Mistresses: Playing All the Holes!
Source: Jean Whiteside / Fox Season 5 of Empire finds the Lyon empire in a dark place. The family business was stolen, money has dried up and Cookie and Lucious are scrambling to figure out how to get back on top. However, one of the brightest spots is Jamal’s new love affair with Kai. We knew it was meant to be after Kai managed to escape a hostile situation in Nigeria, and even before that, he saved Jamal from being drugged and assaulted. Jamal and Kai’s chemistry is undeniable and the actor who plays the latter, Toby Onwumere, is excited to take on such an important storyline. Audiences were first introduced to Onwumere as Capheus on Netflix’s Sense8 , but with Empire , his second major role thus far, he’s helping to shift the narrative about how characters with HIV are portrayed. Hello Beautiful caught up with the USC grad about how he landed his latest role and the impact he hopes to have on the culture. —Starrene Rhett Rocque What do you look for in the roles you go up for and how did Kai match up to that? Considering that this is my second real role, I guess in general I like to look for some type of variety from the last one. Right. Because you’re in Sense8 and that’s completely different. Exactly. But I like both in like the storytelling and the character, and how it’s done, and I appreciated the juxtaposition between Sense8 and Empire . You know, something kind of, super niche on Netflix and this one is like, Empire is empire, as the name suggests. It is an empire. So, yeah, I really like that, and as far as Kai goes, I kind of knew, I didn’t have the script, but I knew about the character, and I definitely knew kind of the subject matter that we were trying to delve into. And, the manner in which that happened, telling the story is important. One, to the LGBTQ community and to educating the general populous at large. I think that’s important. The thing about Kai that I really like is you know with him and his HIV status—the character doesn’t feel sorry for himself and he’s not played in a terminal fashion. You see him hospital bed once as of now, but it’s not really due to the HIV, it’s more due to the injury he sustained when he was abroad, and he’s a character with integrity and with purpose and the HIV is not the totality of his life. And he still finds love. He finds love with one of the biggest pop stars in the world and they still have a very robust relationship despite the ailment. What was the process of getting the role like, did you get to meet Lee Daniels then? I didn’t meet Lee Daniels. It’s funny, I auditioned for it for maybe like two or three days. Then I [was] in New York about to go see some musicals and like kick it with some people I know, and I get a call from my agent, like, “You need to come home [to LA] because you have this chemistry read with Jussie.” So, I get my plane ticket back, and I think the next day I meet Brett Mahoney, some other producers, and then I meet Jussie. But, then I realized, the date that I was auditioning, Jussie was in the casting office with Leah Daniels Butler, and he passed by and I remember him saying, “Oh, I want to see who’s auditioning for this.” I remember that vividly. I always joke about it with him. I was like, “I saw you the first day”, and I looked at you like we’re about to do this together.” And then we had the chemistry reading; it was fantastic and I go home and I’m talking with my roommate later that night, and my agent and manager called me that I got it. That is awesome! You guys really do have amazing chemistry. Kai is actually my favorite boyfriend of Jamal. Talk that talk, please! Talk about their storyline and why it’s important. Well, you know that we meet in London and then we come over here. And then I get to see firsthand the quote-unquote energy of the Lyon family and how it’s affecting Jamal. And the beautiful thing about our relationship is, by telling the story I think we break a lot of stereotypes about relationships in general. We’re showing two normal people, and we’re really big on the normalcy of their relationship. And then if you bring the HIV into it—in mainstream culture—I don’t know that you see a relationship like ours. Somebody whose HIV positive, but it’s not treated in this super medical way. And I know that Jussie is really big, very very big on that. To like change the narrative of what it is to have, it can be undetected and bringing up things like PrEP. I just think we are changing the narrative a bit. Did you learn anything new because I think the PrEP thing is new information to a lot of people? I had known about PrEP, because I have some friends, I have maybe like two or three degrees of separation from people that have HIV so I know about PrEP. I know about being undetectable, but there are still quite a bit of people who maybe have outdated information on HIV. They might think it’s more terminal than it really is. That goes back to the 80’s propaganda of what HIV was and how it was a disease for the disenfranchised, and the LGBTQ community, but I do think that the scene with Cookie is such an amazing scene because it shows that nobody’s really immune to the lack of information. And there are people in your family who mean well, they mean the most positive, but due to the lack of information or the misinformation they kind of lead in the wrong way. What’s been the feedback thus far with you doing this role? Especially because, you know how sometimes, people see you in a role, and they think that you are actually that person. Oh, I get it so much, which is par for the course [and] that’s totally fine. My DM’s have been blowing up. Somebody even inquired if I really had HIV, which was interesting, but I think it’s all par for the course. The feedback has been, a sea of great stuff, it’s been fantastic, and that’s what I like. I’m actually interested somewhat in hearing it all. How’s your family reacting? My parents are in Nigeria right now, and my dad is a professor at this university in Imo State, and he is up to date. I was talking to him yesterday, and that’s so, pardon my language, that’s so fucking cool! He tells me, all the girls in his class watch the show religiously, and when they see the opening credits, they recognize the last name as the same name as their professor, and they’re like, “Wait, is that your son?” And my dad is like “Yeah, yeah, that’s my boy.” And they are like, “NO, I’m marrying him, I don’t know, what do I have to do, but we’re making it happen!” It’s just cool having my dad recap the events to me, and he’s like, “Why you let him talk to you like that?” Having him invested in the story like that, and talking to me about it, it really is special because I feel like my parents in particular afforded me this life. Empire can take you in twists and turns, so how can we brace ourselves to feel after tonight’s episode? You should brace yourself emotionally and hold onto people dear to you. I’m so bad at this part because I feel like if I say anything I’ll give it away. But we know it’s going to be a doozy, right? Always, it’s empire. We just want Jamal to have nice things, though. We’re gonna take care of him. RELATED POSTS ‘Empire’ Recap: Cookie And Lucious Kill Kingsley With Kindness ‘Empire’ Recap: Cookie Lands A Promising New Signee
Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise are back to back with it on today’s episode of Global Grind’s The Rewind . You already know how we do each and every week. The Rewind will break down some of the things you could have (and probably shouldn’t have) missed in the last week. We tell you what’s hot, what’s not and then give it a rating of 1-10. Never feel left at out the water cooler again now that you have The Rewind in your life. This week, Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise are talking about Teyana Taylor’s new track “Gonna Love Me (Remix)” which features Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan. Anyone who thinks this is an unlikely match up may want to familiarize themselves with the fact that Teyana also collaborated with Wu-Tang Clan last week to release a new Wu Tang inspired lipstick line with Milk Cosmetics. It’s a literal match made in Shaolin heaven but is “Gonna Love Me (Remix)” a smash or is it trash? “Gonna Love Me” originally appeared on Teyana Taylor’s Keep The Same Energy album which came out over the summer and was produced by Kanye West. Landon and Franchise have opposing views on the track. They both like it but one likes it a LOT more than another. You’ll have to tune in to The Rewind to figure out who wasn’t all that enthused by the new remix. This week we also discuss Tyler Perry’s new film, “Nobody’s Fool” which hit theaters on November 2nd. The movie is about a woman who is released from prison and reunites with her sister. It stars Tika Sumpter, Tiffany Haddish, Missi Pyle and Courtney Henggeler. Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise weighed in on the film and gave it a rating. The movie, which was Tyler Perry’s first R rated comedy, did $14 million worldwide with a $19 million budget. That’s not a lot but was it worth more? Franchise wasn’t a fan of the movie at all. He absolutely hated everything about it. Find out what Landon Levarius thought of the film and how both of our in-house critics rated the film over all. Check out this week’s episode of The Rewind up above!
Larissa Dos Santos Lima may have recently called herself a survivor on Instagram , but the Las Vegas Police Department had a different label for this 90 Day Fiance star over the weekend: Abuser . As previously reported, the TLC reality star was arrested a few days ago on a charge of domestic battery. New details (and Larissa’s mug shot!) regarding the incident have now emerged on the Internet. “On Nov. 10, 2018, at approximately 1:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to a family disturbance at a residence in Northwest Las Vegas,” reads a statement by Las Vegas Police Officer Larry Hadfield. This statement was obtained by In Touch Weekly and it continues: “Two people were contacted at the home who were arguing. “At the conclusion of the investigation, it was determined that Dos Santos had committed Battery Domestic Violence on her husband and transported to the Clark County Detention Center.” Specifically, Larissa was arrested and detained on one count of misdemeanor domestic battery last Saturday. She freaked fans out and caused major concerns when she locked herself in a bathroom, added her phone number to her Instagram bio and wrote on social media: HELP ME …HE TURNED OFF HIDE MY PHONE HELP ME HE WANTS TO CALL THE POLICE HELP ME. Larissa and her fiance, Colt, it should be noted, met online and are featured on this very season of 90 Day Fiance. You can tune in each week to see their unusual relationship play out. According to Larissa, her fight with Colt took place because he told his girlfriend NOT to share any photos of him on her Instagram account. He said the status of their relationship had to remain a mystery, for the sake of the show. She then went on to allege that Colt caused some damage in their home the two bickered over this demand — and she also claims that, at some point during their fight, he took her phone away. That’s when she posted the above plea for help. After posting a $1,000 bond, Larissa went back on Instagram in order to assure supporters that she was fine. “Hello everyone. Thank you for the support and love. I am safe and resting,” she wrote, adding: The past 48 hours have been the most difficult in my life. But reading the messages from all of you has made me smile. God bless and thank you. I’ll update soon.” But, wait, is she still with Colt? Yes. “We are together and strong. We just choose [to not] expose it,” Larissa added. Colt, meanwhile, has also responded to questions and stories about Larissa’s arrest, as well as his role in the incident. He thinks people on the World Wide Web should stop playing amateur detective and leave the couple alone, basically. “Self proclaimed internet sleuths who think they are Woodward and Bernstein,” he wrote late Monday on Instagram. “They are simply people that spread misinformation, lies, and chaos to make themselves look important. They are nothing and will never be relevant.” We don’t know what actually transpired between Colt and Larissa, of course, but we can say this much: When you are accused of being at the center of a domestic battery confrontation… you may be best served NOT to come across as hostile in your response to it. Kehlani Talks Queerness And Motherhood With Nylon Kehlani shocked her fans and the industry when she popped up pregnant about a month ago . The singer has received all sorts of head-scratches and commentary since then, largely because her sexuality has been so publicly fluid…and nobody even realized she had a man at the time. As Kehlani covers this month’s issue of NYLON Magazine (alongside a spread she did just one day before announcing her pregnancy with no one on set even realizing she was knocked up), she gets into all the energy she’s received surrounding her romantic interests and taps into the excitement of new motherhood. I’ve gotten everything from “I thought she was a lesbian” to “she was using queerness to promote her career, then went and betrayed us with a man” to “her baby father is just a sperm donor.” One, I never identified as a lesbian. I’ve always been pansexual. My first mixtape included songs about males, and songs about women. My first album had songs about a nonbinary ex, an intersex ex, and male/female exes. I don’t always make it a point to identify pronouns in the music because that isn’t the focal point. I think what steered everyone in the direction of categorizing my sexuality (which is still really narrow-minded) was my song “Honey,” and a couple of the features I’d done after. Although she doesn’t want to define her sexuality in any concrete terms to make others comfortable, she’s VERY clear on what motherhood means to her and what it should mean for other young people pursuing parenthood. My overall dreams and goals for my life are to love to the highest limits one can experience love. The highest forms of happiness, and graciousness. I believe creating life is one of the highest forms of love! I’m accomplishing one of my biggest goals as we speak. Make sure this is what you want for unselfish reasons. It’s unfair to bring a child in the world with the burden and unspoken task of mending you, a relationship, or improving your happiness. Although a child will usually naturally bring a deeper meaning of happiness into your life, that isn’t the sole reason for that child’s existence. This is about them. She’s also a big proponent for all-natural birth. Given the plight Black women face when dealing with medical professionals , she believes it’s important to take control of your own childbirth process. People, especially black women, are dying at very high rates from hospital complications and medical malpractice (or just f*cking blatant racism). People have been giving birth naturally for ages, obviously, way before hospitals existed. Way before machinery, way before all these procedures. Your uterus, and vagina, are built and designed for birth. You deserve to be in charge of your birth, to be comfortable and listened to, not rushed or prodded at. You deserve to feel 100 percent at peace with full support, in the driver’s seat and not the backseat. This is your body, your baby, your ceremony. Kehlani certainly sounds assured about her path as a mother. Do you agree with her stance on all natural birth? Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic/Natt Lim/Getty Images for Coachella
