Now it seems the source of some of these details may have been none other than Gwyneth herself. Radar Online reports that Chris believes Gwyneth is the one leaking rumors about his affairs and feeding the press lies about what a negligent father he is. A source close to Chris says he suspects Gwyneth of launching a full-blown smear campaign in “an effort to sully his image and make him look less sympathetic.” And why would Gwinnie go to such trouble? Some of these actors reap serious benefits from modern-day garb and hair care products (Ygritte sure cleans up nice!), while others rock the sword-and-tunic look so well it’s pretty much impossible to improve upon. We’re lookin’ at you, Emilia Clarke Daenerys Targaryen! All it took was one night with Lady Gaga to drive David Letterman away. We kid, but the day after Gaga sang for the first time on The Late Show, Letterman announced his retirement as a talk show host. The comedian told his studio audience at today’s taping of his decision, with REM bassist Mike Mills Tweeting the news and various outlets subsequently confirming that Letterman will recite his final Top 10 List some time next year. David Letterman Retirement Announcement Letterman got his big break by performing stand-up many times on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He was then given NBC’s Late Night in 1982. In 1993, Letterman moved to CBS and became the host of The Late Show. His contract is set to expire in 2015 and he said at this afternoon’s taping that he’ll step away “sometime in the not too distant future.” That’s when “Paul and I will be wrapping things up.” In February, of course, Jay Leno stepped down from The Tonight Show and Jimmy Fallon has been killing it in the ratings ever since. Expect speculation to soon begin over who will take over for Letterman, but let’s stop before that gets out of control and admire one of the funniest men to ever grace a television screen. Lindsay Lohan has been working on a comeback now for longer than she ever had a career, so it’s safe to assume the actress was desperately hoping her self-titled reality series would win the public back to her side. Problem is, the public isn’t watching. Initial curiosity may have helped Lindsay’s ratings for its debut episode, but the show has seen a sharp, steady decline in viewership ever since. The show lost over 150,000 viewers (nearly a quarter of its audience) in its second week and not even the drama of Lindsay’s sex list could help her show ‘s third and fourth episodes, as even lower ratings are expected to be announced. To make matters worse, Lindsay is broke again, having reportedly blown through the $2 million paycheck she received from OWN. As an added embarrassment, Radar Online pointed out that the long-running Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants destroyed Lindsay in the ratings . Lindsay fired her personal assistant and “sober coach” in the past few days and popular opinion is that the reality show that was meant to rehabilitate her career has actually served as the final nail in the coffin of her reputation.
