Lindsay Lohan: Dropped By Clothing Company Due to Legal Woes, Partying

Lindsay Lohan‘s star power appears to be dimming fast, with a new clothing company pulling out of a major endorsement deal with the troubled star. A $500K deal that was once on the table from clothing / lifestyle brand Odaingerous has been rescinded due to her legal woes and reputation . The company’s creative director, Odain Watson, said in a statement: “In light of the recent conviction of actress Lindsay Lohan, [we are] officially withdrawing an offer for an endorsement agreement of actress Lindsay Lohan as the face of the brand.” “We wish her the best on her recovery and future pursuits.” Odaingerous tells Radar they are currently pursuing other “various talents” like Miley Cyrus and Kristen Stewart to instead be the face of their brand. “We held off on our upcoming campaign due to the uncertainly of Ms. Lohan,” Watson said. “But have decided to move forward and will soon announce the [new face].” Lindsay Lohan , 26, was ordered to spend 90 days at a rehab facility as part of a plea deal she struck after lying to cops about her car crash last summer. She’s expected to check in and begin treatment as early as next week. How long she stays and whether it does any good is another story.

Via National Enquirer reports : TALK about a marriage going to pot! U.S. House Speaker JOHN BOEHNER is set to walk his daughter Lindsay down the aisle – but does he know his new son-in-law was busted for kush possession? The ENQUIRER learned that Florida police arrested Lindsay’s fiance, Dominic Lakhan, in Pembroke Pines back in 2006 after pulling him over for a traffic violation. “Upon making contact with the driver,” states the police report, “officer observed in plain view a 16 oz. Natural Lite beer can opened in the driver door. “Officer also detected the odor of burnt cannabis emitting from the interior of the vehicle. “A search of the vehicle revealed two bags containing approximately 2 grams of suspected cannabis… inside the center of the ashtray. Roger Ebert’s Death (1942-2013): Forefather Of Movie Blogging Passes Away

I’ve never been much of an obituary-writing guy, but Roger Ebert   deserves to be celebrated.  So, rather than add to the hundreds of thousands of words that are about to be spent reexamining his remarkable life and career following his death today, I’m going to make one observation about his contribution to movie culture and then leave you with a clip that, I hope, will make you smile when you think of him. My introduction to Ebert, and his equally mouthy partner in movie criticism, Gene Siskel , came via their thoroughly enjoyable syndicated television show At The Movies , which began as a PBS series in 1975, Sneak Previews , and eventually became Siskel and Ebert and The Movies  from 1986 until 1999. (The year Siskel died.)  And though I’m quite aware that a) these guys were operating on television and b) blog culture was a long way off,  there’s a real argument to be made that Siskel and Ebert are the real forefathers of the movie blog culture that exists today. Siskel and Ebert: Proto-Movie Bloggers Each week, they candidly curated a subjective list of movies that were opening that week.  They told the television audience which films were worth seeing and why,  which ones should be ignored, and which movies were worth actively seeking out at the video store if they weren’t shown at the local cinema. And, by the way, their thumbs up or down system of rating movies was the proto-Rotten Tomatoes . As Roadside Attractions tweeted on Thursday afternoon: “Siskel & Ebert almost single-thumbedly made Hoop Dreams a thing. If they’d never done anything else, they’d still be indie film legends.” Siskel and Ebert lavished attention on obscure movies;  they taught their audience how to look at crowd pleasers with a critical eye, and they fought and bickered with each other in a way that made great television. Their TV show had all of the elements of a great blog:  curation, information, perspective and entertainment.  And they did it better than a lot of bloggers are doing it now. Rest in peace, Roger Ebert. You, too, Gene Siskel. This is how I’ll remember you: bickering brilliantly like Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?  Siskel and Ebert At Each Other’s Throats Follow Frank DiGiacomo on  Twitter. WATCH: Lindsay Lohan & Charlie Sheen’s ‘Scary Movie V’ Footage Is Actually Funny

Even if you have no tolerance for Lindsay Lohan   and Charlie Sheen , you’ve got to admit they can take a joke.  My expectations were not high for scandal magnets’ scenes together in Scary Movie V , but this clip is actually a hoot.  Sheen gets the best line, and his bedroom is a voyeur’s wet dream. He even has one of those SkyCams that they use to film Monday Night Football games from above the field. He also gets the best lines, but Lohan’s final scene, which involves car keys, made me laugh out loud. Lindsay Lohan: Under Table, Wasted at Brazil Nightclub

Lindsay Lohan has gone from being a colossial pain in the ass to sitting on her ass in order to avoid photos that depict her as a drunken mess. Only she failed in that endeavor. The actress – who was accused this week of stealing wardrobe items from the Anger Management set – was caught inside a Brazil nightclub yesterday, looking stone cold sober and totally put together. NOT! “In party in Sao Paulo, Lindsay Lohan refuses to take pictures and hides under the DJ table,” wrote the Twitter user who snapped the picture above. With a court-ordered 90-day rehab stint on the way, Lohan is trying to get in as much partying as possible over the coming weeks. Can you blame her? Oh, right. Totally. What a trainwreck. court-ordered 90-day stint

Lindsay Lohan: Still Gettin’ Her DRINK ON!

Despite being sentenced to 90-days of in patient rehab in lieu of jail time, Lindsay Lohan is adamant that she does not actually need to go to rehab. Thus, she continues to drink . Often. And hardcore. Just hours after the court hearing on Monday in which the Lindsay Lohan plea deal was struck to keep her out of jail, she was sitting at her hotel bar. Knocking back vodka sodas like there’s no tomorrow, Lindsay “did not seem fazed by the irony of the situation,” according to reports. Big surprise. Then, according to TMZ, she hit up a club with new lover Avi Snow . Moving on to last night, she rolled to a San Diego club called FLUXX after midnight. Hey, lock down rehab doesn’t have to start until May 2. PARTY TIME! Wearing a Yankees cap and a hooded sweatshirt, the 26-year-old hottest mess sat at a VIP table ordering vodka on the rocks all night. Good times. She has apparently learned one critical lesson though. Lindsay specifically requests that vodka be served from a glass carafe, so the table won’t have any alcohol bottles on it. Cell phone pics and all … Sources close to LL reiterate that she is adamant she does not have a substance abuse problem and does not think she needs professional help. That makes one of us. Pour out some of your vodka from the glass carafe at your table as a tribute to a lost soul with a once-bright future and tell us: Will Lindsay Lohan ever get clean?   Yes, she’s totally learned her lesson by now! No, she’s in denial, spineless, weak and surrounded by enablers! View Poll »

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Fat Booty Attacks A Poor Dude

I don’t know what Jennifer Love Hewitt is filming here, but watching her attempt to climb this dude is making me nervous. I hope whatever it is has up-to-date insurance in case he throws out his back. Because the poor guy could barely lift that big wide load. A booty like that is best used as a cushion. » view all 49 photos Related Articles: Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Big Ass On The Prairie Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Weight Loss Secret: Get Ridiculed Jennifer Love Hewitt Nude In Playboy? Light of Day, Part 2: Paul Schrader Taking Wait-And-See Approach To Lindsay Lohan’s Plea Deal

News of Lindsay Lohan’s plea deal puts her one step closer to a comeback. Back in February, I wrote that if Lohan could avoid going to jail over charges of reckless driving and lying to police and reinstitute some self-discipline into her life, her raw performance in Paul Schrader’s The Canyons  could mark the beginning of her redemption as an actress. Details of Lindsay Lohan’s Plea Deal As of this afternoon, Lohan can check off that first box on what could be the path back to a productive acting career worthy of her talent. As USA Today reported,  she and her legal team, led by Mark Jay Heller, struck a plea deal with prosecutors in which the Herbie Fully Loaded actress will do 90 days in a lockdown rehab facility and 30 days of community service. She’ll also undergo psychological counseling for 18 months. The newspaper reported that, following Lohan’s court date,  Heller told reporters outside the Los Angeles Superior Courthouse, “I am very confident that you won’t be seeing Lindsay Lohan in any criminal courts any time in the future.”  He also explained why Lohan took the plea deal: “At the conclusion of this case, Lindsay will have a completely clean record. And I think that’s an extremely important element to this case.” The Canyons Director Paul Schrader’s Reaction To LiLo’s Sentence When I first heard about the outcome,  I emailed Schrader to get his reaction. When I interviewed him for post I wrote in February, the Affliction  director hinted that he was interested in working again with Lohan.  (The New York Times reported that Schrader was interested in casting in the lead role for a remake of Gloria,  — about a mob moll and a six-year-old boy being chased by hitmen and law-enforcement officials — that originally starred the great Gena Rowlands.) The filmmaker’s response was cautiously optimistic. Schrader wrote he and his wife, actress Mary Beth Hurt, had dinner with Lohan last week at Minetta Tavern in Greenwich Village.  Lohan, he wrote, “saw the film again and is enthusiastic to promote it. There will be international festival appearances in the future which she hopes to attend. We also discussed future work but, for now, we wait and see how the plea bargain plays out.” One Lingering Cause For Concern: Lindsay’s Dad, Michael Lohan Sounds promising. Now, if only Lohan could put more distance between her and her attention-starved father who seems to have no shame about turning his daughter’s legal woes into a press opportunities for himself.  Here’s what USA Today reported about Daddy’s post plea-deal performance: Heller was quickly chased away from the press conference by Lohan’s father, Michael, who was present during the hearing. Michael Lohan then took to the microphones and proceeded to bash Heller, accusing him of not keeping Lindsay posted on negotiations. Michael said that Heller needs to “stop using Lindsay to make money and a name for himself.” However, the actress’ father did say that the sentence to rehab would probably be a good thing for her. Papa Lohan is doing a bit of projecting here.  Someone should get him a muzzle. Lindsay Lohan Plea Deal: NO Jail in Exchange For 90-Day Rehab Stint, Community Labor

In a surprising (and yet somehow not surprising) twist, Lindsay Lohan struck a plea deal with prosecutors, avoiding jail in her lying-to-cops case … for now. Lindsay will be headed to rehab and must do community labor but will avoid major jail time, provided she complies the the terms of her probation. Yeah, we all know how that goes. The star showed up 48 minutes late (obviously) to face the music, and despite having rejected a plea deal earlier this month, agreed to the following terms: 90 days of in-patient, lockdown rehab 30 days of community labor 18 months of psychotherapy 2 more years of probation In concluding the proceedings, the judge told Lindsay “don’t drive” and “this is it” regarding probation. Next time, there will be no hearing. Just jail. It’s amazing she avoided it in this case, to be honest. For one, there’s a mandatory five-day jail sentence for reckless driving, but it’s going to be folded into her rehab; she won’t be behind bars even for a day. She also admitted to violating probation in her jewelry heist case, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail as a result … but that sentence was stayed. If Lindsay Lohan completes probation, it’ll disappear. Lohan was charged with reckless driving and lying to a police officer about a June 2012 car crash in which her Porsche crashed in to a dump truck. Her arrest triggered the probation violation charge. The actress entered pleas of no contest on two misdemeanor charges relating to the traffic accident, and she did not challenge that she violated probation. Lohan acknowledged her drug and alcohol addiction in past court appearances. She’s spent 250 days in five rehab facilities since January 2007. In other news, she got glitter-bombed, and wore this: Lindsay Lohan’s plea deal: A fair punishment?   Fair enough. It’s on her to sink or swim. Not harsh enough! Lock her up!
