Teresa Giudice Finally Responds: Will She Divorce Joey G?

You’ve likely heard the rumors. You’ve probably read the headlines. But now we have the answer. About four months after Joe Giudice was told he was going to be deported next year after he gets released from jail, his famous wife has answered the question that continues to hang over her and her family. Will she or won’t she divorce Joe in light of this troubling development? Joe, who has been featured prominently on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, pleaded guilty years ago to multiple counts of financial fraud. He was subsequently sentenced to over 40 months behind bars, a stint he is currently serving. In late June, a judge decreed that Giudice (who moved here from Italy as a child, yet never became a United States citizen) must move back to his native country once he’s a free man because he’s an immigrant who committed a felony. It’s as simple as that. But Teresa and Joe’s relationship seems complicated. Can it survive such a traumatic jolt as one half no longer being permitted to live in America? Is Teresa devastated by this news or secretly celebrating her upcoming freedom ? Asked by Entertainment Tonight over the weekend when she would ever divorce her husband, Teresa answered succinctly : “No. We’re going to be a family, and we’re going to fight this and get through this.” Teresa and Joe pleaded guilty to numerous charges of fraud in 2014. The mother of four was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison and started her sentence in January of 2015, but was released early. Then, earlier this year, 31 months into his sentence, the U.S. Department of Justice confirmed that Joe had been ordered to leave the United States at the end of his prison sentence. (He has fewer than 30 days to appeal the decision.) But will he be going alone? Or might the entire Giudice clan uproot their lives to keep him company? “We are not even thinking about [whether we’d move to Italy] right now. We’re going to take it day by day. We’re going to take it one step at a time,” Teresa told ET, adding: “First, we’re going to process the paperwork to do an appeal, and we’re going to get through that.” Continues Giudice: “I can’t predict the future, and I am not going to be… I am going to be positive about it,” she said. “Joe starts talking about [the deportation order] and I don’t want to talk about it yet… “I shut him down. I don’t want to talk about it, and what comes first is our daughters and we’re going to fight this.” The embattled couple has four children: 17-year-old Gia, 14-year-old Gabriella, 13-year-old Milania and 9-year-old Audriana. In response to her dad’s situation, Gia recently tried to rally support  for her imprisoned father. “My father is no threat to society,” she wrote as a caption to a throwback photo of dad and daughter, adding: “He is one of the most warm hearted people I know… “My father did his time. And learned from his mistakes. Isn’t being in there supposed to make you realize your mistakes so you can become a better person?” View Slideshow: Teresa Giudice: Filing For Divorce Once Joe Gets Deported?!

Woman Undergoes 200 Surgeries to Resemble Cartoon Character

Botched is back for Season 5. And ridiculous video like what you're about to see is why it's already greenlit for a Season 6. Pixee Fox is no stranger to the show. She has had over 200 cosmetic procedures to look like a “cartoon woman.” She stops by to update the doctors on what she's had done. Among other things, she now has a “doll p–sy.” Pixee Fox has a shockingly narrow waist and a substantial bust, but her inhuman silhouette is just the tip of the iceberg with her. In the video that we've included with this post, she boasts on Botched about how many procedures she's had. “Since last time I was here, I had more than 20 plastic surgery procedures,” Pixee brags. She says that this is all “for my quest to look like a living cartoon.” Pixee admits that she has had “surgeries that I know that Dr. Nassif and Dr. Dubrow would never, ever perform on me.” “This time, maybe, they can try to open up,” she hopes. “And see a little bit of my vision of my life.” “I used to be more of a tomboy,” Pixee claims. “I used to be an electrician — I used to only do guy stuff,” she characterizes. “And now I’m transforming myself from a normal girl to a living cartoon.” That is one hell of a personal transformation, we'll give her that much. “I never really felt human,” she explains. Pixee explains: “I always felt more like a pixie, fantasy creature.” Well, at the end of that day, it's her business. But some of what she's done to herself raises eyebrows for a good reason. “Just in the last year,” she boasts. “I have been all over the world. I’ve been to Iran, I’ve been to India, I’ve been to Istanbul.” Her litany continues: “I’ve been to Korea, I’ve been in Dubai, I’ve been in Sweden, I’ve been all around America.” “Anything you can or can’t think of in plastic surgery; I’ve done it,” she says. “I’ve had more than 200 plastic surgery procedures,” she shares. “I have invented my own procedures.” She's not kidding, folks. “So,” she says to name an example. “I’m the only girl in the world to do an eyelash transplant with my pubic hairs.” “I want to look like a cartoon pixie character, so pointy nose, pointy ears,” she shares. She has had an ear reduction. In Iran, she received her current nose. It is when she talks about her “doll p–sy” that the doctors are really concerned. Mostly, like normal people who know that most dolls do not have genitalia, they wondered what in the hell she meant. This results in Dr. Dubrow saying: “Your vagina looks like a baby flower?” We don't know what that means and, to be entirely honest, we're perfectly comfortable not knowing. Doctors Dubrow and Nassif never really know what they're in for on Botched . Sometimes, someone went through a simple or even necessary cosmetic procedure that some monstrously incompetent doctor ruined. At other times, however, they deal with people who have more money than sense, and seem to be addicted to cosmetic surgery. These people become celebrities by virtue of their curious and increasingly warped appearances. While it is totally within Pixee Fox's rights to transform her body however she likes, a lot of doctors would say “no” to her requests. Some doctors do not hold those ethical concerns, however. From the clips that we've seen so far, it is not clear why Pixee Fox is appearing on the show. Aside from her desire to flaunt the changes that she's made and elicit a reaction from the doctors, that is. We'll have to wait a while to find out, because it's just over a month until Season 5 begins. Botched premieres on December 6 at 10pm on E!

Jon Bon Jovi Taunts Kim Kardashian: You Give Love (Making) a Bad Name!

According to Jon Bon Jovi, Kim Kardashian gives love making a bad name. Her type of fan is akin to some kind of bad medicine. While many hard-working families around the world are essentially living on nothing more than a prayer, Kim and her relatives are living off the lewd acts Kardashian went committed while naked on camera with Ray J. What we’re saying is this: Jon Bon Jovi is not a fan of Kim Kardashian. The legendary musician made this as clear as he possible could while speaking this weekend to Australia’s The Sunday Project. “I think it’s horrific that we live in that world,” the rock star said of how folks such as Kim and her family members can be famous, adding: “I can tell you I’ve never given 60 seconds of my life ever to one of those Housewives of Blah Blah and Kardashians.” It’s not evident what prompted this attack by Bon Jovi, but once the singer got going, he couldn’t get over how talented bands can make money by singing a song titled Bed of Roses… … while un talented people such as Kim can make even more money by having sex on a bed in front of a video recorded and then releasing the footage online.  “I don’t know their names, I’ve never watched 60 seconds of the show, it’s not for me,” he continued, prior to taking direct aim at the Kim Kardashian sex tape and asking Kim: “What’s gonna be in your autobiography? ‘I made a porno and guess what, I got famous.’ F-ck, sorry, I’ll pass.” The thing is, if Kim did write a biography with this title, you just know it would be a best-seller. “Go and write a book, paint a painting, act, study, sing, play write,” Bon Jovi reportedly added, lamenting how reality stars and Instagram models don’t actually do anything to garner their fame and fortune. As the saying sort of goes these days, they are famous just for being famous.  This is a criticism that has followed Kardashian around ever since she got nude and straddled Ray J for Kim Kardashian Superstar . She has insisited for years ever since that she actually works harder than most celebrities specifically to combat this assumption. “I think that’s how I was definitely introduced to the world,” she told Oprah in 2012 of the sex tape, adding; “It was a negative way, so I felt like I really had to work 10 times harder to get people to see the real me.” The real Kim appears to be someone with very little personality or humor or ability to do much of anything aside from take off layers of clothing. Despite this perception, though, Kim continues emphasize that she really does work hard on things such as fashion and her various business endeavors. “It is a talent to have a brand that’s really successful off of getting people to like you for you,” Kardashian said on 60 Minutes in 2016. “I would think that has to involve some kind of talent, you know?” In ths same interview, Kim acknowledged the vital role Twitter and Instagram have played in her enormous success, but she also wanted credit for having figured out how to master those platforms to her benefit. “I totally attribute my career to social media,” she said, confessing that she has “monetized the act of living.” This is actually a very astute way of describing it. The public can now choose to either side with Kim and praise her for figuring out how to do this… … or with Bon Jovi and roll their eyes over it. Meghan Markle Baby Name: What Should She Pick?!

Breaking news: Meghan Markle is pregnant with her first child! She and Prince Harry are expecting sometime next spring. Okay, so you probably heard that last week. But speculation about the newest royal baby’s name is already heating up! Despite unconfirmed reports that Meghan is having a boy, and that  Harry wants a girl , they’ve yet to confirm their offspring’s gender. That’s not about to stop us from weighing in on her child – specifically what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should name it. Let’s just say that if she listens to our staff writers, she’ll have plenty of options for an idea that … wait … wait … Suits her. HILTON HATER Suits has given Meghan Markle so much already: it was through the show that she first came to global prominence. The Pearson Darby storyline from Season 2 guided her through her first British merger. And as she was born Rachel Meghan Markle, choosing to take her middle name professionally, the show even gave her the opportunity to reclaim her birth name as Rachel Zane. It is only fitting, then, that Suits provide the Duchess with the name of her first child. But which name to pick? Unfortunately, the show’s three mainstays are out, as Harvey, Donna and Lewis are terrible first names. How about finding inspiration in the last names, then? After all, Markle’s love life has been bereft of last names: on Suits, she married Mike Ross, a man with two first names. And in real life, she married Prince Harry, a man with no last name. Again, this is a no-go: Specter is out, as naming a child after the organization out to kill James Bond is probably not the best way for a foreigner to ingratiate one’s self with the British populace. As is Zane, as the break-up of One Direction is a wound far too fresh for England to reopen, even with a slight spelling change.  But perhaps there is something with Zane after all. Suits never lacked for drama, but it, like all shows, will eventually come to an end. The only drama that lasts forever is family drama.  While Markle has largely stayed above the muck that her estranged family keeps wading into, the naming of her child provides an opportunity for her to end that drama once and for all: name the child “Robert” after Robert Zane, her father on Suits and the best father figure Markle has ever had.  TYLER JOHNSON For a boy: Harvey. Generally, royal babies are given traditional names like Henry or Aethelred, so that if they wind up ascending to the throne due to freak accident or bloody war of succession, they can just slap a Roman numeral on the end and be done with it. I say that’s lame, and it’s for nerds. It worked for centuries, because the royal family is comprised entirely of lame nerds. But Meghan Markle is cool and hot and she’s from Hollywood, which is why, if she has a son, she should name it … Harvey. Hear me out! It’s been rough year for that particular moniker, but not all Harveys are sexual predators. Before she became the Duchess of Sussex, Meg was best known for her role on Suits, and her boss on the show was named Harvey Specter. Yes, her husband on the show was named Mike, but you can’t give a royal baby such a basic-ass name. No one wants to bow before King Mike. So christening the wee lad Harvey would be a great way to honor Meghan’s past while also reclaiming what could be a cool name and preventing future generations from associating it with a sweaty scrotum monster. I’d be lying if I told you I knew I’d end up using that phrase in an article about baby names. For a girl: Tatiana. Ha! All the Suits fans out there thought I was gonna go with Rachel, in honor of Meghan’s character on the show. Well, I’ve got a surprise for both of you! Yes, I’m once again paying tribute to MegMar’s acting career, but unlike all you bandwagon-jumpers, I’m aware that her most essential contribution to the world of cinema is her uncredited role as Tatiana in the largely forgotten Russell Brand-Jonah Hill classic Get Him to the Greek . (Her part as a Fed Ex girl who gets hit on by Jason Sudeikis in Horrible Bosses is a close second.) If I’m being completely honest, I had no idea Meghan was even in that movie until I Googled her filmography five minutes ago, and it looks as though her scene has been buried by the sands of time – if it even made the final cut. But that’s neither here nor there. At its core, this idea is about my desire to see the look on the Queen’s face when Harry and Meghan tell her they’re naming their daughter Tatiana because of a Russell Brand movie, a moment that I hope they would capture on video and put on YouTube for the world’s amusement. This has been the first installment in my series on the many ways in which the royal family could be way cooler. EMILY TRAINHAM If you grew up wanting to be a parent, there’s a good chance you’ve spent at least a little bit of time thinking about baby names. And if you meet an actual prince then fall in love with him and decide to get married, and you have some weird obligation to make more little baby princes and princesses … You DEFINITELY have some names floating around in your head. What we’re saying is that Meghan and Harry are probably way, way ahead of us in thinking of potential names for their baby. So we have a lot of catching up to do! First of all, let’s go ahead and throw out the name everyone’s going to be thinking of: Diana. Sure, William and Kate used it as like the third name for their daughter, but it’s not like they own the name, you know? But then again, Meghan is pretty much the coolest thing that ever happened to the royal family, so that might not be hip or original enough for her. Maybe they’ll go with something that ends in “-ayden,” right? A lot of people seem to be into that. Or just a random but adorable noun, like River or Olive or Lamp.  Let’s see, one of her old dogs was named Bogart, so maybe they could reference some classic movie star? Hepburn? Monroe? Brando? Ooh, ooh, or Grace Kelly, because she was a Hollywood star who became a princess, just like Meghan?! But you know what? This whole thing would be way more fun if we all didn’t know that what’s going to happen is that they’re going to pick some old, boring name. James, Mary, Victoria, Henry … Basically open up a history book, find the section about all the British kings and queens and their kids and dogs or whatever, and that’s where you’ll find your Harkle baby name. Such a waste. SIMON DELOTT What Harry and Meghan name their first child is a deeply personal choice that will reflect who they are as people as well as their child’s relation to the royal family. So, naturally, I’m sure that they’d love to hear my opinion. Alexander or Alexandra remain arguably great names, because they fall within the traditional names of British nobility and are also normal names. William and Kate made similarly good choices with George and Charlotte but then stumbled on that front with Louis. Louis is very royal but only a “normal” name if you are a duckling who wears green. But while variations of Alex may be good choices, they’re not super interesting. We have already mentioned that Harry’s children will not have princely titles unless his grandmother intervenes to make it so. By default, it is expected that Harry’s eldest son will be an Earl at birth. So Harry and Meghan should just name their son Earl. It’s a dignified name and will effectively strong-arm the Queen into giving him a better title so that he doesn’t go around being called Earl Earl. Instead, he’ll just grow up with resentments, like a normal child, and with no great love for the Dixie Chicks. View Slideshow: The 35 Most Ridiculous Celebrity Baby Names of All Time If they have a daughter, they should name her America. To be clear, that’s after America Chavez, a really great superhero. By coincidence, it’ll be an eternal and glaring reminder of the land of Meghan’s birth. You know, in case anyone forgets.

Travis Scott Speaks at Beto O’Rourke Rally: Watch!

Years ago, we would never have expected to say this, but … Kylie Jenner makes better relationship decisions than her sister Kim. Beto O'Rourke's campaign for Senate has attracted national attention, in part because he is looking to unseat Ted Cruz. As you'll see in the video we've included, Travis Scott returned to his hometown to support O'Rourke's campaign. On Sunday, October 28, Travis Scott appeared at the Bayland Park Community Center in his hometown of Houston, Texas. He was there to drum up support for Beto O'Rourke. “You just need to go out, hit these polls …” Travis encouraged the crowd while speaking with a microphone. “We need to just tell our peers, man,” he continued. “To like step out and vote.” Travis assured those who had gathered: “We can change the world.” Travis is from Houston. In fact, his family still lives there. Famously, he and Kylie were spotted in Houston after news of her pregnancy broke, as he introduced her to his family. Kylie's baby daddy was not the only celebrity who was there to promote O'Rourke. NFL player Arian Foster, another Houston native, was there to drum up support. O'Rourke tweeted a photo, writing: “Houston's @trvisXX and @ArianFoster! Big thanks to both” There is often a narrative that celebrity endorsements are a form of outside influence. (This is a narrative pushed by the political Right, whose celebrity endorsements tend to be rarer and much stranger) O'Rourke's campaign side-stepped this issue by being endorsed by Houston's native sons while in the city itself. A Texan, celebrity or not, supporting a candidate in Texas is the furthest thing from “outside influence.” If elected, O'Rourke will be part of the face that Texas shows to the world. Beto O'Rourke was instantly likeable to many because he is running against Ted Cruz. Dislike of Cruz is not a partisan issue — it is one thing that united Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. O'Rourke gained national attention when the GOP tweeted a photo of him from years ago when he was in a band. This was a huge misfire by political strategists, who hoped to show Beto as a young musician and not a serious politician. Instead, people around the country just noticed that O'Rourke was both cool and hot. That's O'Rourke on the left. People who have never set foot in Texas in their lives saw this photo had had sex dreams about him. But we have a sneaking suspicion that sex appeal is not why Travis Scott is endorsing the guy. Instead, Travis Scott wants a better country for himself and his family than the one that we currently inhabit. Violence, bigotry, and vitriol fill the news every week. This has to be particularly concerning to Travis because he is now the father of an almost-nine-month-old child. Travis wants a better future for Stormi. A couple of years ago, when Kylie was dating Tyga, we would never have imagined that we'd be praising her partner. Instead, look at Kim's marriage to a MAGA-hat-wearing impulsive man-child who won't listen to anyone. Kanye is embarrassing his loved ones with his antics. Even Caitlyn Jenner admits that Trump sucks . Travis Scott seems to have a good head on his shoulders and to be a good person. Sometimes, people find it difficult to feel optimistic about midterm elections. The answer is to vote, whether you feel enthusiastic about it or not. Do your part to make the world a better place.

Black College Football Week 9: Classic Debut

Few if any of the 65,906 fans who made their way into Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala., Saturday afternoon knew who knew who Nathaniel Dell was before the 77 th Magic City Classic  kicked off. But by the time the game ended, the freshman wide receiver from Daytona Beach, Fla., was all anyone could talk about. Dell lit up Alabama State for 204 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just six catches to lead Alabama A&M to a 27-13 victory over arch SWAC rival Alabama State. Dell, who has been hampered by injuries most of the season, entered the contest with six catches for 95 yards in three games. “Like my teammates say, I’m always open,’’ Dell said following his breakout performance. “To have a game like this, on a stage likes this, that’s what it’s all about,” Dell said. “These are the kind of games you sign up for.’’ Dell staked Alabama A&M (4-3, 3-2 SWAC) to a 7-0 lead when he got behind the Alabama State secondary for a 56-yard touchdown reception. He scored again in the third quarter when he caught a short pass from Aqeel Glass and sprinted 81 yards to the end zone to give the Bulldogs a 20-10 lead. “Our guy is a playmaker,’’ Glass said. “Get the ball in his hands, and more times than not, he’s going have a chance to break a big play.’’ Glass completed 17 of 30 passes for 322 yards and three touchdowns as Alabama A&M gained 463 total yards. Alabama State squandered a pair of early scoring opportunities. The Hornets drove to Alabama A&M’s six yard line on their opening possession after holding the Bulldogs to three-and-out. However, a third-and-goal pass into the end zone was incomplete and Hunter Hanson missed a 24-yard field goal attempt. Later in the first period, the Hornets drove to Alabama A&M’s 10, On third down quarterback KHA’Darris Davis kept the ball to the one yard line, where he fumbled while trying to reach the ball into the end zone. The Bulldogs recovered. Alabama A&M  never trailed in the contest as first-year coach Connell Maynor came away a winner in his Magic City Classic debut. “Since the day I got here, the one thing I’ve heard more than anything else is just how important the Classic is,’’ Maynor said. “This game is a big deal, so to see our players celebrate this victory tonight is huge. I’m proud for our team.’’ KEY RESULTS Central State 40, Tuskegee 36 – The Marauders defeated the Golden Tigers for the first time since 1948 and ended the defending SIAC champions’ 15-game conference road winning streak. Tuskegee (5-4, 3-2 SIAC) squandered a 14-point third-quarter lead and trailed 33-28 entering the fourth quarter after quarterback Trent Mays hit Kevin Greenhow with a 32-yard touchdown pass with 1:07 left in the third quarter. Tuskegee regained the lead, 36-33, on quarterback Ahmad Deramas ’ 13-yard touchdown pass to Javarrius Cheatham at the 8:59 mark and Justice Owens’ two-point conversion.  The lead was short-lived, however. It took Central State (4-5, 2-3 SIAC) just two plays to score what proved to be the winning points as Mays connected with running back Terraris Saffold on a 68-yard touchdown pass. Mays finished with the game with a career-best 376 passing yards and three touchdowns. Deramus had a career high 300 passing yards and three touchdowns for Tuskegee. The Golden Tigers entered the contest ranked No. 6 in Division II in total defense, having allowed 241 yards a game. The Marauders shredded the Golden Tigers for 435 yards. A lbany State 21, Benedict 0 – The Golden Rams clinched the SIAC East championship with a road victory while extending their winning streak to six consecutive games. Albany State (6-3, 5-0 SIAC) will play the winner of this weekend’s Tuskegee-Miles game in the SIAC Championship Game on Nov. 10. Albany State, No. 10 in the NCAA Division II Super Region Two, held its opponent without a touchdown for the second straight game. The Golden Rams held Benedict (5-3, 3-2 SIAC) to 169 total yards. Albany State grabbed a 14-0 first quarter lead on a Kalias Williams’ 26-yard touchdown pass to Eric Crawford and a 13-yard run by Williams; Williams’ second touchdown pass of the game in the second quarter put the game out of reach. Alcorn State 27, Prairie View A&M 13 – The Braves were Homecoming spoilers once again as the SWAC East leaders knocked of the Panthers and sent their alums home disappointed. It was the third Homecoming win for Alcorn State (7-2, 5-1 SWAC). The Braves also defeated Alabama A&M and Southern on their Homecoming. Alcorn’s defense did a number of Prairie View (3-5, 2-2 SWAC). The Braves limited the Panthers to 235 yards total offense – including only 61 on the ground; they also sacked quarterback Jalen Morton five times, intercepted him twice and held the Panthers without a touchdown. Prairie View’s only touchdown came on Bernard Good’s 81-yard kickoff return that gave the Panthers a 10-7 lead in the first quarter. Alcorn overpowered Prairie View with its running game. Running back De’Shawn Waller gained 120 yards on 20 carries as the Braves piled up 249 yards on the ground. Quarterback Noah Johnson added 81 on 12 carries. Grambling 45, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 38, OT – The G-Men stayed alive in the SWAC West championship race with a home overtime win. The lead changed hands 10 times before Marc Orozco kicked a 20-yard field goal for Grambling (4-4, 2-2 SWAC) with 46 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime. Geremy Hickbottom connected with Darrell Clark on a 25-yard touchdown on the first play in overtime to give Grambling its final lead. Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s bid to send the game into a second overtime period failed when Skyler Perry’s apparent seven-yard pass to Kolby McNeal was overturned by the replay officials. The Golden Lions (1-7, 0-4 SWAC) had kept the drive alive thanks to a pass interference penalty against Grambling. Taeylor Porter was the offensive star of the game. Porter rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries. Grambling escaped with the win despite allowing 478 total yards and being penalized 11 times for 200 yards. Journalist Kimberly Holmes Wiggins Turns Her Pain Into Power After Losing Her Husband

W hen Kimberly Holmes Wiggins met her husband Rasheed at Duke University years ago, she knew she had found her soulmate. She was drawn to his sensitive, caring, and unique soul. After the two attended a wedding where her sorority sister and his fraternity brother joined together in matrimony, Kimberly and Rasheed embarked on their own love journey and began dating. While maintaining a long-distance relationship while Kimberly furthered her journalism career in Washington, D.C. and Rasheed lived in North Carolina, the two established an unbreakable bond and tied the knot in 2011. Sadly, things took a tragic turn for the couple on a Spring evening in 2016. While returning from a quick store run, Rasheed lost his life after being struck by three cars at the intersection of Universal Boulevard and Destination Parkway, not too far from the couple’s Florida apartment. The first two drivers left the scene and are still at large. The third driver—who was driving a taxi—was the only one who stopped to help Wiggins. Kimberly became concerned when she couldn’t reach Rasheed and went out with their dog to go search for him only to come across a crime scene where her husband lay in the middle of the road. In just a short period of time, she found herself in the midst of a homicide investigation on an evening that was supposed to be a movie night for her and her husband. Her life was forever changed. “Every time we would leave each other we would kiss and hug goodbye but that night we didn’t because he was supposed to come right back. When you lose someone, who plays a significant role in your life it’s hard,” Kimberly told NewsOne as she recounted what happened that night. “The real pain sets in weeks, months, and years after that. Grief never goes away, and you just learn how to live with it. One thing that is really difficult when losing a spouse is that you lose the person who treated you special.” Mourning the loss of the love of her life has been an uphill battle for Kimberly, but she has decided to turn her pain into power and has led several efforts to create positive transformation in her life as well as the lives of others. In 2017, she launched the Rasheed A. Wiggins Entrepreneurial Prize at her and her husband’s alma mater Duke University. Rasheed who was a seasoned marketing professional was the co-founder of a digital advertising agency called AdRelief. Inspired by Rasheed’s entrepreneurial spirit, Kimberly and others who were close to Rasheed believed that the scholarship fund would keep his legacy alive by giving budding business owners the funds to launch their own ventures. The 2017 winner was a company called Flower Child Remedies which is a Black-owned natural hair product line. The winner of the 2018 prize has yet to be announced. Kimberly has also stepped into the realm of policy change and is fighting for a bill to be passed in Florida related to hit-and-runs. According to a study released by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, Florida is one of the top three states with the highest rates of fatal hit-and-run crashes. Under the bill, there would be an amber alert system put in place for hit-and-runs where people would be alerted about cars that left the scene. She also has launched a grief outreach organization called Still His where she provides support and sends gift boxes to widows across the country in an effort to help them heal. She also hosts several support brunches and dinners in the DMV area to cultivate a community of women who are struggling with the loss of their spouses and penned a book about how to cope with grief and support those who are grieving. Kimberly’s latest project is a 5K run in honor of Rasheed that is slated to take place on March 23; a day before what would have been his 42nd birthday. She’s thankful that she can use her platform to help those in need, especially women of color who lack resources when it comes to seeking help after experiencing loss. “It’s hard to come from a community that tells you to keep things bottled up. But we must confront our emotions to heal. I’m appreciative of being able to use my voice,” she said. “This was one of the most eye-opening experiences for me. When getting involved with these initiatives it was about putting one foot in front of the other and moving forward. I feel incredibly blessed because I was surrounded by so much love.” SEE ALSO: Rihanna And Colin Kaepernick To Reportedly Team Up For Social Justice Project Marshawn Lynch Launches Initiative To Provide The Homeless With Smartphones [ione_media_gallery src=”https://newsone.com” id=”3832050″ overlay=”true”]
