Vienna Girardi to Jake Pavelka: Just Leave Me Alone!

Vienna Girardi is supposedly scared of Jake Pavelka. He says he’d get engaged to her all over again. Another day in the aftermath of the Breakup of the Century. After a taped reunion interview that reportedly involved Jake making a fist in anger, a Vienna source says she is afraid of Jake and doesn’t want to go near him. While ABC claims that no one was ever in physical danger, witnesses say the scene was ugly, and Vienna Girardi wants nothing to do with the guy ever again. “I am afraid of Jake because he is verbally abusive and controlling, I’m afraid of what he might do next,” she told a close friend. “I just want to be left alone.” The friend adds that Vienna “just wants a normal life” and is allegedly “starting a regular 9-5 job in marketing” today, which she’s really “looking forward to.” Marketing what, her own topless pics and celebrity news interviews? Jake and Vienna at their Fake Relationship Hall of Fame induction. It’s been reported that one reason for the breakup was that Jake refusing to put it to her , but he was all over Vienna when it came to publicity about the couple. No wonder he says do it all over again – the two were all over the news! While he’s hurt by Vienna’s alleged cheating, “I’m getting all the Tweets and support from fans,” he says. “You guys are going to get me through this. Thank you.” “My goal in life is to make decisions that minimize regrets. I don’t regret anything I’ve done,” he said on Good Morning Texas . “It’s been the most amazing ride.” Yes, folks, it’s been an amazing ride … broken fake engagement and all. “I’ve gotten to do things that most people never even dream of doing, and I sit here [thinking], ‘What have I done to deserve this?’ Somebody pinch me.” We’d love to, Jake. Got a vice handy?

Broken Social Scene Talk ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World’ Soundtrack

The Canadian indie-rock group was tapped to write songs for comic book flick’s fictional band Crash and the Boys. By Matt Harper Michael Cera in “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” Photo: Universal Pictures Broken Social Scene kicked off the summer by releasing their 4th studio album, the heavily anticipated Forgiveness Rock Record. But that’s not all the Canadian indie rock band has coming. While recording Forgiveness, they were also in Toronto, quietly working on music for “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” director Edgar Wright’s love letter to all things geeky. “I’m not allowed to say … I’m not allowed to tell you that it’s really f—ing fun,” frontman Kevin Drew joked when he and bandmate Charles Spearin stopped by the MTV News offices last month. Although the bandmembers were mostly tight-lipped about details surrounding their experience with Wright, we now know that Broken Social Scene created the music — the soundtrack’s official track listing was released this week — for one of the flick’s fictional onscreen bands, Crash and the Boys. For the uninitiated, the “Scott Pilgrim” graphic novels number five volumes, with a sixth (and final) book to be released on July 20. The stories center on a loveable Canadian slacker in his early-20s who falls in love with Ramona Flowers, a mysterious American recently relocated to Toronto. Scott wants to date Ramona but quickly learns that in order to do so — he’ll have to confront the ghosts of her past relationships by doing battle with her seven evil exes. Scott (played by Michael Cera) may be unemployed in the series, but like any good 20-something slacker he dabbles in music, playing bass in the band Sex Bob-Omb. And this is where Broken Social Scene collides with the comic book world. When the movie’s director and music supervisor Nigel Godrich first approached BSS, they assumed it was to ask the band to score the comic book flick. They were surprised to learn that Godrich actually wanted them to create a catalog for one of three bands that appear in “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.” “They chose Metric and ourselves to do music for the ‘bands’ that are represented in the film,” Drew told us in May of Wright and Godrich, a longtime Radiohead producer. “We were given the task to write four-second songs, so how the f— is that going to be anything like Broken Social Scene,” Drew laughed. Apparently, Godrich was impressed. He asked Drew and bandmate Brendan Canning to contribute to the film’s score too. “We never really told anyone about this, we just told our family and friends — but [Godrich] invited us to London,” Drew revealed at the time. “He’s putting together the whole soundtrack, so he’s been picking a lot of the bands he’s been playing with and musicians, and he asked us, which we were really honored [about].” As Drew pointed out, BSS weren’t the only group tapped to write music for the cinematic bands: Beck crafted songs for Sex Bob-Omb, while fellow Canadian rockers Metric recorded a tune for Scott Pilgrim’s rival band, Clash at Demonhead. (You can hear the track on Metric’s Facebook fan page.) ‘Dre’s a friend to me, so it was just, ‘Let’s go get it in,’ ‘ Game tells the AP. By Mawuse Ziegbe The Game Photo: Gallo Images/ Getty Images Although Dr. Dre is one of the biggest producers in the world, Game said that reuniting with The Chronic legend was just a matter of a phone call. The Cali MC said he and Dre started working together again on his upcoming The R.E.D. Album after the influential producer simply dialed him up. “Dre just called me one day, and he was like, ‘You wanna work?’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah,’ and he’s like, ‘Come down.’ I’m like, ‘Cool, see you in 30,’ ” Game told The Associated Press. “That was it. Game and Dre back together again.” Dre and Game collaborated on the MC’s debut, The Documentary, when Game first joined the producer’s Aftermath label. Although Game told MTV News that he titled his follow-up, Doctor’s Advocate, to pay homage to and show his support for Dre , the Compton MC worked with a range of producers on his sophomore album. The MC also maintained that he didn’t miss working with the Doc on the 2008 album, LAX. Game said collaborating with Dre was a huge motivating factor in putting together his latest project. “The motivation is number one, and foremost is always my children and second just being back with Dre,” Game said. Lady Gaga to Drop Album, Pants in 2011

Okay, we just made up the second part of the headline above. But based on her recent Yankee game spectacle , do you have any doubt that this is true? In the new issue of Rolling Stone, which features Lady Gaga in a machine gun bra on the cover, the “Poker Face” singer is looking forward to next year. She’s finished recording her newest album and is planning an early 2011 release, the name of which she will announce at midnight on New Year’s Eve. “I think I’m gonna get the album title tattooed on me and put out the photo,” she said. “I’ve been working on it for months, and I feel very strongly that it’s finished now. It came so quickly. Some artists take years; I don’t. I write music every day.” Lady Gaga displays her Yankees pride … and breasts . Gaga added that unlike her debut, The Fame , and 2009’s follow-up, The Fame Monster, the new disc will have more political, even angry overtones, tackling hot-button issues close to the crooner’s heart, such as gays in the military. “Why are we still talking about ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell?’ exclaimed Gaga to the magazine. “It’s like, what f*%king year is it? It just makes me crazy!” “I have been for three years baking cakes. Now I’m going to bake a cake that has a bitter jelly,” she adds. “The message of the new music is now more bitter than it was before. Because the sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be.” We don’t really follow, but we’re looking forward to another year of outrageous hit songs, videos, quotes and Lady Gaga hermaphrodite rumors.

Governor Sarah Palin

Yesterday was incredible. Again I got to witness history in the making, from a front row seat. Starting out the day with Dad’s choice of Governor Sarah Palin as his nominee for Vice President is a moment on stage I will never forget. She and her family are so down to earth and so much fun. I could not be any luckier to have these wonderful people join us on the road. I had the pleasure of spending the day with kids Bristol, Willow, Piper and Trig. Not only do we have a new Vice Presidential nominee, but I have three new awesome girls to share the road with. I am looking forward to spending more time with them hanging out on the Straight Talk Express. It feels a bit like we’re welcoming a few new blogettes to the site and my life. I couldn’t be happier, more pleased or excited. This has truly been one of the best days on the trail so far. P.S. And in repsonse to many of our fans, we’re happy to announce the opening of McCainBlogetteStore.com with shirts, hats and other items. Let us know what you think! Casey James Says ‘You’re Definitely Gonna Hear Guitar’ On His Album

The ‘American Idol’ alum hasn’t been signed yet, but he’s ready to record. By James Montgomery Casey James Photo: MTV News During his run on “American Idol,” Casey James was repeatedly lauded for two things: his general hotness and his deft guitar-playing. Guess which one he’s planning to feature on his post-“Idol” debut? “It’s going to be something kinda new and different,” season nine’s second runner-up told MTV News on Wednesday (June 2). “It’s probably going to be a rocky/bluesy/country-type thing. …It’ll be a way for me to do all the things that I love, because there’s no other way for me to go. It won’t be something where you don’t hear guitar, because that’s what I do. You’re definitely gonna hear guitar.” That’s good news for fans of James’ bluesy, deep-fried fretwork. After all, his guitar-playing earned him high praise from both the “Idol” judges and journalists who cover the program ( USA Today called him “the best guitar player the show has seen”), and it would be a shame if it didn’t end up on his debut disc. But for all the accolades his ax-work earned him, James said it took some convincing on his part before “Idol” producers would let him play. “I was really shocked going in, like, I thought, well, I wouldn’t be able to play my guitar at all. And I think it was the second week, I just straight-up told them, ‘This is what I want to do,’ and they were nice enough to let me do it, and I got ripped up for it,” he smiled. “But I think it set a precedent for me as a musician, as an artist, on the show, that this was what I was going to do. And then, later on down the line, that’s exactly what happened. They would say, ‘You know what, why don’t you do a little lead there?’ And I’d be like, ‘Really? OK, I’ll do that!’ ” In the end, it paid off. And though the ninth season of “AI” just wrapped — and despite James has a very busy summer ahead of him on the Idols Live! tour — he’s already thinking about his album. “It’s the whole reason I did the show,” he said. There’s only one slight problem: Unlike fellow finalists Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze , James has yet to ink a record deal with the folks at 19 Recordings or any other label. But that could really change any moment now. “I mean, they could call me right now,” he laughed. “I sat down and talked with some people and, you know, it remains to be seen, but hopefully, yeah, I’ll get a deal and be able to put out a record.” Which season-nine contestant’s album are you most looking forward to? As the Indy 500 race will take place in less than an hour from now, everyone is surely very excited who’s going to win. Same crowd would also be looking forward what will happen to Auto Racer Danica Patrick race today. They let out their boos to the racer during her speech to the audience after the qualifying race. She finished 23rd in the qualifying and has been blaming everything to her car. She blamed the problem on an “absolutely awful” race car and said “it’s not my fault.” As for her racing record, she can’t boast quite anything as she only won once in all her 86 races. The crowd didn’t like what she said thus letting out their boos to her. For fans it’s a cardinal sin for drivers to badmouth their crews. Patrick was stunned about what happened. “I’ve had boos over the years but not like this,” Patrick said. “It doesn’t make me feel good, no.” she added. Despite recent health crises, Michaels tells the ‘Today’ show, ‘I’m ready to rock.’ By Jocelyn Vena After beating Holly Robinson Peete on Sunday night’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” Bret Michaels sat down with Meredith Vieira on the “Today” show on Monday (May 24) to say that although he’s not back to his old self yet, he is ready to make the strides to get there. “It’s great and awesome to be here. … The doctor said it’s not very smart to be here, but I’m not a very smart guy in that capacity. I really knew I wanted to be [at the finale],” he told the anchor. “This is the truth: I’m not back 100 percent yet, but I’m one of those guys that I have to have a goal, and I’m very driven, and I say this truthfully, I love life.” Michaels noted during the interview that his intention of winning “Celebrity Apprentice” hadn’t changed even after the several medical crises he’s experienced in the past month. “When I went in there to do the show, I was committed 100 percent,” he said. “Everybody wants to win for their cause and I went in there, I had no intention to hurt anybody. My intention was to do the best job I can do. When I had the hemorrhage I thought it was over. I got to tell you I was so happy to have been there. I set my goal.” While Michaels is taking his recovery day by day, he says that he’s looking forward to performing again, including his planned summer tour. “I say this much, I don’t know that I’m ready yet and I’m going to take it in baby steps,” he explained. “I’ve had so many amazing fans. … I’m ready to get out of the hospital and on the road.
