Singers Sued Kedar Entertainment For Botching Comeback Albums Fresh off of a court putting their old record company in default in their one million breach of contract case, Dru Hill will now have to justify why they deserve the megabucks judgment. A New York Federal court put Kedar Entertainment Group in default on Dru Hill’s case – which accused their former record company of bungling their comeback album and not paying them – because no one from the company ever responded to the suit. The singers said they signed deals with the company for two new albums, and Kedar promised to spend a minimum of $300,000 on promoting each one, 2010’s “InDRUpendence Day,” and Sisqo’s “Last Dragon,” which dropped earlier this year. But the suit said Kedar didn’t spend anywhere close to that amount, and in turn, Dru Hill lost millions in record sales, live shows and publishing profits. Dru Hill also complained that they never saw a dime of their advances and royalties from the records. Kedar Entertainment – headed by former Motown Records honcho Kedar Massenburg – had a month to answer Dru Hill’s lawsuit, but never did. BOSSIP’s attempts to reach Massenburg were unsuccessful. Now, Dru Hill’s lawyer, Lita Rosario, must explain to the judge why the men are entitled to the one million in damages. Lawyers for Kedar Entertainment could also appear and challenge the judgment as well. Only then will the judge make a ruling on the dollar amount. Besides a possible monetary award, the default also means that Dru Hill is no longer bound by their contracts with Kedar Entertainment.
It’s only been almost two weeks since Kim Kardashian welcomed Saint West i nto the world, but even the holiest of pregnancies can take a toll on a woman’s body, so Kim his already busting her famous ass to get back into the shape that helped make her famous. We already know that Kim lost 17 pounds within a week of giving birth, because that’s the sort of thing she likes to brag about online. But apparently diet and exercise aren’t enough to provide the mother of two with the sort of instant transformation she’s looking for. Yes, according to Radar Online, Kim is taking more extreme measures and planning to go under the knife in order to perfect her post-baby body. “Kim has undergone cool sculpting because she said that she needs to look super-hot for New Year’s,” says one insider. “Kim would totally get liposuction, but Kanye would lose it because he is very against that specific procedure for his wife.” No surprise there. It seems Kanye won’t even get a vasectomy because he’s vehemently opposed to all elective surgeries (except, of course, for the many that his wife got before they were married). But we can understand why his wife is in such a hurry to drop the baby weight. Sources say Kim is hiding out at home until she sheds the pounds, and being under the same roof with a needy, tantrum-prone little man who needs constant attention has gotta be exhausting. One of the more interesting photographters, who is actually a photographer, and not just a dude who takes iphone pics for instagram, even though that’s what everyone is doing these days, and a lot of people are making a really ridiculous living doing it these days, despite having no talent…Jonathan Leder, has beed doing to before Instagram ever existed…it’s like instagram saw his pictures and figured out a way to let people emulate it with a filter…and it’s too bad because actual talent gets lost in the noise…in a video killed the radio star but instagram killed photography stars…that really could say digital killed everything…but then again the future is now, and maybe it’s a good thing that everything is made easier, to really make people try harder…who knows.. Ever since she was photographed getting a little help from Corey Gamble leaving an AMAs after party on November 20th, Kourtney’s been the topic of of tabloid fodder. “Kourtney rarely ever drank before and was always yelling at Scott [Disick] for drinking too much,” a source told the publication. Scott is currently trying to find his way back into Kourtney’s arms after a stint in rehab. “She is leaving her kids at home to go out and party.” Those sources say that Kourtney’s super-jazzed about her slim waistline, and feels her body should be taken out for a good time. “Ever since she lost all that weight, she feels like she needs to go out and be seen, because for the first time in a long time, she feels sexy again,” the source added. Jenelle Evans’ ex-fiance, Nathan Griffith shared a few photos of himself and girlfriend Jessica Henry on Facebook last night, which look suspiciously like an engagement celebration. It wasn’t, Griffith reassured fans via Twitter: “Despite most rumors, we are not engaged and we are just enjoying our time together,” Griffith wrote. “That’s it!” Griffith told Radar Online that he didn’t plan on being engaged again for “a long time.” The rings Henry wore in the pictures “were fake,” Griffith explained. “She doesn’t even have them anymore. I was looking at that as well and I can see how that can be misconstrued, but we’re not engaged,” Griffith added. “I would make sure everyone in the universe would know if we got engaged.” Did a little part of him want to take a dig at Evans with those photos? “Heavens no!” Griffith insisted. “If I did that, that means I would still care and I don’t.” True, there’s no love lost between them. “The image that that twisted, evil, little girl portrays me as is totally opposite of who I am,” Griffith said. “I don’t lie (like her), I don’t manipulate (like her), I don’t get revenge (like she does) and I don’t care what most people think about me (like she does).” I try to live my life as best as I can and help out whoever I can.
