The Bellamy Brothers to Britney Spears: You Ripped Off Our Song!

And here we thought Britney Spears was merely ripping off a cheesy old pickup line with the lyrics to her newest #1 single, ” Hold It Against Me .” Well, The Bellamy Brothers, singers of “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me,” claim it’s their cheesy line dammit! The country duo says it has “no personal beef” with Britney, however, “in all honesty, we feel completely ripped off. Where’s the originality?” LOL. She hasn’t had any of that in years, but that doesn’t mean she’s to blame here. Anyway, the Bellamys aren’t going to sue, they’re just pissed. Do they have reason to be? Listen to the two versions after the jump … The Bellamy Brothers – If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Britney Spears – Hold It Against Me (Full Version)

Hayley Williams Posts Demo Of New Song, ‘In The Mourning’

‘I don’t want people thinking it’s a new Paramore song. This is just something I wrote for fun,’ the singer says in a blog post. By James Montgomery Hayley Williams Photo: Tim Mosenfelder/Getty Images Last week, during Paramore’s “Last Word” interview with MTV News, Hayley Williams promised fans that the band would “definitely” be releasing new music in 2011 … and, it looks like she meant it. Well, sort of. On Tuesday, Williams took to her blog to post the chorus of a song called “In the Mourning,” a winsome, windswept thing that, while new — and actually pretty great — probably won’t be showing up on a Paramore album anytime soon. “A few weeks ago I posted some new lyrics up on Tumblr. Wanted to share the melody with anyone who’s asked me to post it,” Williams wrote on her blog. “This is just the chorus … I didn’t want to post the full thing yet because I don’t want people thinking it’s a new Paramore song. This is just something I wrote for fun. Hope you likes!” Williams did post the lyrics to “In the Mourning” a few weeks prior, and at the time, fans were speculating that they might be related to one of the new demos guitarist Taylor York had written for the group. Now, it doesn’t sound like that’s the case, although Williams and Paramore’s other remaining members — York and bassist Jeremy Davis — are apparently still writing and demoing new material . Late last month, just days after it was announced that founding Paramore members Josh and Zac Farro would be leaving the band, Zac posted a demo by his new project, Tunnel . In February, Paramore will launch a South American tour — their first since the Farro brothers’ departure — with York’s brother Justin filling in on guitar and veteran stickman Josh Freese on drums. Cake Try For ‘Classy And Grandiose’ In Showroom Of Compassion

After a six-plus-year wait between albums, indie rockers didn’t feel obligated to ‘reinvent’ their sound. By Sabrina Rojas Weiss Cake’s John McCrea Photo: MTV News “It’s been a long time,” John McCrea sings on the second track of Cake ‘s new album, Showroom of Compassion, which dropped on Tuesday (January 11). For fans who have been waiting more than six years for a new release from the understated indie rockers, it sure has been. And what they’ll get after this long time is signature Cake , albeit with a few adjustments. “We’re not trying to change; we never have,” McCrea told MTV News. “I always thought that was so wasteful for musicians to feel so obligated to reinvent themselves every album. … That said, we do have reverb for the first time on my vocals. I think I had a moratorium against reverb all this time because I didn’t want to sound grandiose.” There’s also more piano, which McCrea said they avoided in the past “because we didn’t want to sound classy. Now we’re a little classier,” he deadpanned. “I think we’re doing what America wants us to do: being classy and grandiose. And rude, with the song ‘Sick of You.’ ” But none of this is news to the real die-hards, who have videotaped live performances of the new songs, studied the lyrics and are already singing along to every word at concerts. “It’s pretty great, especially if you go someplace like France, where the language is French and the album has only been out for a couple months, and everybody is singing the words in English,” said Vince DeFiore, who plays trumpet, keyboard and percussion. After spending years extricating themselves from a label deal, launching their own label and dealing with other issues that “musicians shouldn’t have to deal with in a normal situation,” Cake set about recording the album in an entirely solar-powered studio in Sacramento, California. The conversion turned out to be so efficient, they actually get a kickback from the city now. “As the value of recorded music descends to zero, we get a little check for $25,” McCrea said of their power-grid surplus. But a band whose songs are perennial favorites for use in ads (Apple, Snapple), TV shows (everything from “The Sopranos” to “Chuck”) and movies, shouldn’t have to worry about funds too much. Are there any Showroom songs they think are ripe for commercial use? ” ‘Easy to Crash’ — maybe that would be good for a car that has a really good safety record,” McCrea offered. “I might allow that. I’m pro safety.” Related Artists Cake

Justin Bieber – One Less Lonely Girl Lyrics and Video “One Less Lonely Girl” Alright let’s go There’s gonna be one less lonely girl One less lonely girl One less lonely girl One less lonely girl There’s gonna be one less lonely girl One less lonely girl One less lonely girl How many “I told you”s and “Start over”s and shoulders have you cried on before? How many promises? Be honest girl How many tears you let hit the floor? How many bags you packed Just to take them back? Tell me that how many either “or”s? But no more if you let me inside of your world There’ll be one less lonely girl (Oh oh) Saw so many pretty faces before I saw you (you) Now all I see is you I’m coming for you (I’m coming for you) (No no) Don’t need these other pretty faces like I need you And when you’re mine, in the world There’s gonna be one less lonely girl I’m coming for you, one less lonely girl [x3] There’s gonna be one less lonely girl (I’m coming for you) I’m gonna put you first (I’m coming for you) I’ll show you what you’re worth That’s what I’m gonna do If you let me inside of your world There’ll be one less lonely girl Christmas wasn’t merry, 14th of February not one of them spent with you How many dinner dates, set dinner plates And he didn’t even touch his food How many torn photographs are you taping back? Tell me that you couldn’t see an open door But no more, if you let me inside or your world There’ll be one less lonely girl (Oh oh) Saw so many pretty faces before I saw you, (you) Now all I see is you I’m coming for you (I’m coming for you) (No no) Don’t need these other pretty faces like I need you And when you’re mine in this world There’s gonna be one less lonely girl I’m coming for you, one less lonely girl [x3] There’s gonna be one less lonely girl (I’m coming for you) I’m gonna put you first (I’m coming for you) I’ll show you what you’re worth That’s what I’m gonna do If you let me inside of your world There’s gonna be one less lonely girl I can fix up your broken heart (heart) I can give you a brand new start (start) I can make you believe (ya) I just wanna set one girl free to fall (free to fall) She’s free to fall (fall in love) With me Her heart’s locked and know what i got the key I’ll take her and leave the world with one less lonely There’s gonna be one less lonely girl One less lonely girl One less lonely girl One less lonely girl There’s gonna be one less lonely girl One less lonely girl One less lonely girl I’m coming for you, one less lonely girl [x3] There’s gonna be one less lonely girl (I’m coming for you) I’m gonna put you first (I’m coming for you) I’ll show you what you’re worth That’s what I’m gonna do If you let me inside of your world There’s gonna be one less lonely girl I’m coming for you, one less lonely girl (yeah yea) [x2] I’m coming for you, one less lonely girl There’s gonna be one less lonely girl (I’m coming for you) I’m gonna put you first (I’m coming for you) I’ll show you what you’re worth That’s what I’m gonna do If you let me inside of your world There’s gonna be one less lonely girl Only you shawty (haha)

Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’ Demo Lyrics

The single is set for official release on Tuesday. By Jocelyn Vena over art for Britney Spears’ single “Hold It Against Me” Photo: Jive Britney is almost back! Fans are super excited over a leaked demo version of Spears’ news single, “Hold It Against Me,” set for official release on Tuesday. While the vocals on the demo come courtesy of songwriter Bonnie McKee, Ryan Seacrest and Perez Hilton have assured us that the final cut of the song is bound to be a hit. Here are the lyrics to the demo, which may have changed in the final version, which was produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin. Hey, over there Please forgive me If I’m coming on too strong. Hate to stare But you’re winning And they’re playing my favorite song. So come ‘ere, little closer Wanna whisper in your ear. Say it clear, little question Wanna note how you just feel. If I feel my heart was beating loud, If we could escape the crowd some how, If I said I want your body now, Would you hold it against me? ‘Cause you feel like paradise And I need a vacation tonight. So if I said I want your body now, Would you hold it against me? Hey, you might think That I’m crazy, But I think you’re just my type. I may be little hazy, But you just cannot deny There’s a spark in between us. When we’re dancin’ on the floor I want more, wanna see it, So I’m askin’ you tonight If I feel my heart was beating loud, If we could escape the crowd some how, If I said I want your body now, Would you hold it against me? ‘Cause you feel like paradise And I need a vacation tonight. So if I said I want your body now, Would you hold it against me? What do you think of the lyrics? Tell us in the comments! Paramore Say ‘Majority’ Of Brand New Eyes Is About Josh Farro

Watch the full interview on ‘Paramore: The Last Word,’ live on MTV.com Friday at 4 p.m. ET. By James Montgomery Paramore Photo: MTV News FRANKLIN, Tennessee — In his “Exit Statement” from Paramore , Josh Farro made one thing abundantly clear: There was a lot more going on behind the scenes than most fans were aware of. Of course, in their interview with MTV News — which you can see more of in Paramore: The Last Word,” a live stream on MTV.com on Friday at 4 p.m. ET — the remaining members of the band addressed most of his charges (not surprisingly, they don’t agree with most of them), but in kicking up all that dust, Farro may have unwittingly also revealed the biggest secret of all: that the majority of the songs on Paramore’s 2009 Brand New Eyes album were about him. Up until he released his statement, most fans assumed that the lyrics on songs like “Playing God” (“It has to be so lonely/ To be the only one who’s only”) and “Ignorance” (“Where’s your gavel, your jury/ What’s my offense this time?”) were Hayley Williams’ way of telling off nameless naysayers and faceless detractors. But now, it’s pretty apparent that they deal almost exclusively with her relationship with Farro — and if you’re still not sold on that point, well, she’ll tell you herself. “I would say that a large majority of those songs, yes, have to do with the relationship we had and then that we had to mend,” she said. “And it was really hard, because we were all friends, and then going through a breakup and going through any kind of tension as a band really affected all the lyrics. … There are a lot of specifics that I pulled from my experience with just feeling like my face was underneath a boot all the time. “I think the point of the album was never to point out those things, but hopefully to encourage people who feel that way,” she continued. “Because I felt so alone in that fight, that I would never want, especially another young woman, to feel that way, because I know there are a lot of girls I’ve talked to, fans, go through the same thing in relationships and families, and it just sucks to feel kind of victimized.” And she didn’t stop there, either, but you’re going to have to wait for the “Last Word” live stream to hear the rest. And speaking of that live stream, we’d love to include your voice in the show, and judging by the sheer volume of comments our stories have gotten, you have plenty to say. You can upload videos to to or tweet your take @MTVNews, and we might just use it Friday. MTV News will be unveiling our exclusive interview with Paramore on Friday at 4 p.m. ET with “Paramore: The Last Word,” a live stream on MTV.com that will feature in-depth analysis of the band’s future, real-time discussion with their biggest fans and exclusive footage of the band, past and present. Kim Kardashian’s Single Got ‘Huge’ Response At Tao

A source at Kim’s New Year’s Eve party says the reality-TV star’s debut single is a club banger. By Jocelyn Vena Kim Kardashian celebrates New Years Eve at Tao in Las Vegas on Friday Photo: Denise Truscello Kim Kardashian is getting some good buzz after previewing the music she’s been working on with The-Dream . When she partied 2010 away at Tao in Las Vegas on Friday night, she surprised the crowd with her first tune, tentatively titled “Turn It Up.” A source told MTV News that the song had the club going bananas. “Oh my god! [The response was] huge,” the source said. “People wanted an encore and the DJ only played it once, but they wanted to hear it again. She was singing along and dancing with it. She wasn’t singing over a track, she wasn’t performing for the guests.” After the DJ made the announcement that he was about to play the song, Kim had a little fun. “Kim, as if she was a normal clubgoer, she was just singing along. She didn’t debut it with a performance. She introduced it, but she wasn’t singing it over a track.” The debut at Tao will also appear in the song’s Hype Williams-directed video, the insider said. The source added that Kim’s camp has described the song as sounding like “back-in-the-day Jennifer Lopez … a little bit of a Jennifer Lopez feel.” “It’s totally a dance song,” the source explained. “It’s good and it definitely sounds like her in my mind. You know it’s her voice. She definitely can sing.” So, what is Kim singing about on the song? Another partygoer recalled the lyrics as being: “It’s going down/ Heading straight to the front of the line/ On the fly, on the floor I can’t stand still/ I am going to work like I am paying my bills/ Party, and party some more/ Rose up in the air, feeling good, feeling great.” On the chorus, this source told us, Kardashian sings something like, “Turn it up/ Turn it up so I can rock the night away, away/ I’mma burn it up tonight it’s going down/ By live via satellite/ All I’m seeing angels in my eyes.” Related Photos Kim Kardashian Rocks Tao On New Year’s Eve Related Artists The-Dream
