It’s the freakin’ weekend! Well, it’s not yet, but I’m just setting a scene, so bear with me. Anywho, say it’s the weekend and you and your girls are about to hit up the club. If you’re lucky, you’ll find yourself at an upscale club or bar where people do more two-stepping and mingling then they do bustin’ out splits on the dance floor and fighting. But alas, in the quest for good nightlife hangouts, you will find your share of shady clubs, and ratchet things will happen inside. Some you can control, others, beyond your control. Jesus Take The Wheel: Police And Feds On High Alert As ‘Mentally Disturbed Vet’ Is Reportedly Making His Way To Ground Zero

As if isht wasn’t tense enough in NY today as it is… As of this morning, we’ve already had one flight diverted and one “suspicious package” discovered in the DC Metro area. So you all ready know isht is extra tense in New York today. Now, they’ve got this to add to the fray. Police are investigating reports that a mentally-disturbed military veteran could be on his way to Ground Zero. The parents of the North Carolina Army vet informed officers of their concerns and security services are taking the matter seriously, CNN reported. The fresh development comes as thousands of NYPD officers line the city’s streets on high alert over the risk of a terrorist attack on the the 10th anniversary of 9/11. FBI investigators are working furiously to establish the identities of three assailants referred to in the terror threat, after a suspicious object was discovered at Dulles International Airport near Washington yesterday. And a flight headed to Baltimore had to be diverted to Nashville after a passenger exhibited ‘suspicious behaviour’. Snipers are standing on the roofs of buildings overlooking the World Trade Center site as the memorial gets underway, with President Barack Obama in attendance. Roads are blocked and police checkpoints for both vehicles and pedestrians surround the memorial, with backpacks checked by bomb-sniffing dogs and put through x-ray machines. Government agents are continuing their search of travel documents in relation to the specific terrorist threat and security has been further heightened as a result.

Even though I’m not that old, I am pretty much old school when it comes to how little girls and boys should dress and behave. I was raised in the era of “stay out of grown folks business” and my mother never shopped in the same clothing store as me. Growing Pains: Lessons In Getting Grown

When you were a kid, did you ever complain to your mother that your arms and legs hurt for no apparent reason and her response was always “It’s growing pains!”. Although painful, you secretly suffered with excitement that you were growing up and changing into a woman. While these physical changes may have occurred during our puberty years, there are still some ‘growing pains’ taking place well into our adult life. These changes may not be as easily felt and obvious as physical ones, but they certainly make a difference and change who we are. As we mature there are a few things that inevitably grow and change right along with us. Mainly our priorities, wants and needs, friendships, patience, opinions, schedules, dress sizes and etc…. hit the top of the change list. These life factors are just a few of the ‘pains’ we must endure as we juggle our other life ailments and complications all the while trying to make sense of what is happening to us.
