Kofi was interviewed by his on-screen dad and veteran actor Glynn Turman for the cover. On success after “Girls Trip” and the grapefruit scene: TURMAN:“…Your popularity soared with Girls Trip which grossed more than $125 million. After my wife and I saw it and we came home, I’m watching TV and she stood in the doorway and said, ‘Try this!’ with a grapefruit in her hand. Were you surprised by how well the film performed?” SIRIBOE: [Laughs] “I’m always surprised because you never know. I remember thinking, Ohhh, so this is the movie we’re making? Got it. We had a good time…” On his heritage: “In first grade I was asked ‘What’s your favorite food?’ I said, ‘Fufu,’ and everybody laughed. I also remember asking my teacher not to say my full name, Nana-Kofi [Nana means ‘son of kings’]. Last year I went to Kumasi, in Ghana, for the first time and met the king, whose real name is Nana.” “I didn’t always understand the roots that are woven into my name, but that realization is happening now.” In addition to covering ESSENCE, Kofi was named one of People magazine’s “Most Beautiful People.” SiriBAE season indeed. Man Crushed Monday: The Weeknd Romance Is Over After Selena Gomez Reunites With Bieber

Celebrity Monitor / Splash News Selena Gomez And The Weeknd Have Split Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have called it quits, according to US Weekly reports. The timing is about as blatant as it can get considering Selena was spotted with ex-bae Justin Bieber SEVERAL times this weekend. Some outlets report that the Jelena reunion is very much to blame, because Selena is still in love with the Biebs: “She is done with him and is not listening to anyone,” a source told Radar exclusively , adding that her recent reunion with ex Justin Bieber played a role in her breakup from the Can’t Feel My Face singer. “She is in love with Justin and always will be. “There is nothing anyone can do or say to change that, ever.” Welp! She does have that “The Heart Wants What It Wants” song… Previously The Weeknd was said to be unbothered about Selena becoming friends with Justin again following her kidney transplant. Now that doesn’t seem to be the case, but we can’t say for sure. So is it as simple as Bye The Weekend! Hi Justin? Her friends and family are definitely guarded: “Her family and friends just wish her the best and pray he doesn’t hurt her again,” the Radar source summed up. Over the weekend Gomez, 25, and Bieber, 23, shared a low-key breakfast date in LA and the pair also attended church services together. Meanwhile The Weeknd, 27, has unfollowed Gomez’ family members and friends. All Hail: Queen Bardi Covers ‘Rolling Stone’ & Speaks On Feeling ‘Trapped & Muted’ By The Music Industry

Brazil Photo Press / Splash News Someone we actually like… Cardi B Covers “Rolling Stone” Cardi B is still on a winning streak. Belcalis is currently covering Rolling Stone and showing the world what it looks like when you’re having the best year ever. Inside the mag is a detailed look into her tour life as told by writer Brittany Spanos who spent time with Bardi before one of her shows. There’s talk about Cardi getting a MEAN yeast infection from her hotel’s highly acidic soap… “My ***y was burnin’ like a Mexican taco!” says Cardi. some classic Cardi chatter about her not getting any from Offset on her birthday…(Damn that period!) “I was sad, because it’s like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I’m not getting no dick on my birthday,’” says Cardi, whose bedazzled acrylic nails are decorated with tiny reproductions of Offset paparazzi shots. “But I wasn’t going to get d*** on my birthday anyway, because I got my period.” and her decision to drop out of college and strip full time. “A lot of people wonder, ‘Why would anybody want to be a dancer?’” she says. “Because there’s money!” She used some of her stripping cash to briefly return to school. “I kept missing classes,” she says, “and quit because I felt like I was already failing. It was such a disappointment.” The interesting interview also includes a section on Cardi holding back on social media after a few instances like her previously referring to Kim Jong Un as “Won Tung Soup.” “I used to tell myself that I will always be myself,” she says. But she worries that she’s going back on that vow. “Little by little, I’m feeling like I’m getting trapped and muted.” Not everyone’s as happy for Cardi as we are. Rolling Stone’s Instagram comments section is being flooded by people who wish they’d put the late Fats Domino on the cover instead. What do YOU think about Cardi B’s Rolling Stone cover??? Nicki Minaj Lands One Of T Magazine’s “The Greats” Covers, Talks New Album And Questioning Herself

Patrick Demarchelier Nicki MInaj Covers T Magazine’s “The Greats” Issue While Cardi B has pretty much eclipsed every artist on the charts, both male and female, Nicki Minaj remains a central figure in pop culture — at least as far as The New York Times’ T Magazine is concerned. After all Nicki did land one of the seven covers designated for their “The Greats’” issue. While much of the article retreads familiar territory to any seasoned fan (her background as a waitress, her quirky character voices, her status as a fashionista, etc… ) but the good news is that Nicki is talking new music and a new attitude in the article revealing what this next project will sound like: “sonically, I know what the album’s about to sound like. I know what this album is gonna mean to my fans. This album is everything in my life coming full circle and me being truly, genuinely happy. It feels almost like a celebration. The last album, ‘The Pink Print,’ was almost like my diary, closing the chapter on certain things and not knowing if I was happy or sad about beginning new chapters. I was really writing about feeling unsure. Now, I can tell you guys what happened for the last two years of my life. I know who I am. I am getting Nicki Minaj figured out with this album and I’m loving her.” Nicki avoids taking shots at the competition for the story, but she does quite a bit of name dropping that we foresee plenty of folks reading into. Take for example, her checklist on what makes a great rapper: “Do you sound intelligent? Does your flow switch up? Are you in command of the beat? I listen for things like that.” Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Foxy Brown — “Those are the three I keep in my head when I’m writing because they’ve influenced me so much,” she says. “I feel like I’m a part of all of them.” She tells me that around two years ago, Kanye West said to her, “ ‘Every girl I hear rap, I can hear Nicki in her rap.’ I didn’t ask him who, but that was such a great compliment. Because sometimes you think you’re the only one that can hear those types of things.” Do you agree with Kanye’s assessement? And do you think that Nas and Lil Kim should feel some type of way about not being named as influences? Hit the flip for more

Doutzen Kroes Topless And Hot

I don’t know why  Doutzen Kroes never became more famous. I mean, she’s got an amazing body, she’s a total five-alarm pants fire, and it always seems like she’s posing topless (or pretty damn close to it). I honestly don’t know what this Dutch super-hottie missing. Except maybe a set of rich parents willing to buy her magazine covers and runway gigs. I keep trying to tell you guys, the modeling business is a total joke these days.

Blac Chyna Covers Cosmo, Says She’s In Long Term With Rob And Doesn’t Care What You Say About Her

Blac Chyna Covers Cosmopolitan Magazine From the pole to the cover of magazines! Blac Chyna is opening up on her tumultuous relationship with Rob Kardashian on the pages of Cosmopolitan Magazine next month. In the issue, Chyna details the circumstances of how she and Rob went from friends to smashing — despite the family history between them. “It was a shock. I guess when you get to know somebody and you’re around them, you see things in them – and you want to be more than just friends. I think that’s what ended up happening.” Hmmm, okay girl . Either way, this couple hasn’t had an easy go of it becoming more than friends, then fiances, then parents together. But what about their CONSTANT back and forths, vicious fights, Rob’s intense insecurity, paranoia, and depressive spells? Chyna says relationships are always plagued with ups and downs and the occasional bad times. But in their situation, it’s important to lean on therapy and family. “I feel like every person who’s in a long-term relationship, or who is committed to their person, goes through ups and downs. Everything isn’t always going to be peaches and cream. If it is, then it’s fake. I’m in it for the long haul, so I feel like my advice [for anyone in a similar situation] is therapy, know each other’s family, calling each other’s moms.” Chyna says it’s difficult, but she and Rob are in it to win it, and are fighting for each other every day. “I feel like everything isn’t going to be perfect, but I know we love each other and we’re fighting for each other, and the people we surround ourselves with are rooting for us. It makes everything much easier. And we also have Dream. So we’re looking at the bigger picture. We have a whole other human being that looks up to us, so we have to make sure she’s taken care of.” These two are definitely on a roller coaster ride, and baby Dream is strapped in right between them. HOPEFULLY, they can figure all this out for everyone’s sake. Cosmopolitan/Splash/E!online
