There’s no denying that Julianne Hough has one of the better bodies in the business. Unfortunately, girl can’t sing or act. Have you seen Rock of Ages? Luckily for Julianne though, she is media mogul Ryan Seacrest’s beard. Anyway, here they are pretending to be boyfriend and girlfriend in Cabo. I feel bad for Ryan since he can’t fully appreciate Julianne’s hot bikini bod like we do, but I do thank him for parading her on the beach.
Things were looking pretty dismal for skin this week on DVD and Blu-ray, but then the SKINstant classics Hostel (2005) and Hostel: Part II (2007) swooped in on Blu-ray to save the day with a bevy of naked Euro babes (and Heather Matarazzo , aka “Weiner Dog”, fully nude in Part II, if that’s your thing). Other than that, your only choice for nudes this week is French fox Vahina Giocante topless alongside non-nude stars Jennifer Tilly and Paz de la Huerta in the ensemble rom-com 30 Beats (2012). And this week in non-nude blockbusters, Malin Akerman goes ’80s crazy in Rock of Ages (2012) and Charlize Theron and Noomi Rapace are out of this world in the sci-fi head scratcher Prometheus (2012). More after the jump!
Nic Cage re-teams with Con Air director Simon West ( Expendables 2 ) in Stolen , which is the most-est ’90s-est classic Nic Cage genre vehicle we’ve seen in a long time. (Yes, but is it very nouveau shamanic ?) The overly complicated plot involving a burned ex-partner and millions in stolen booty! The estranged daughter with an Anne Parillaud haircut! AND OH DEAR LORD IS THAT REALLY JOSH LUCAS OUT-NIC CAGING NIC CAGE? Sigh. It is . Your Friday Fun Time has arrived. Oh yeah, Malin Akerman is in this (and threatens to turn in the best acting in the cast). Two lingering thoughts: A. Is it just me, or does this voice-over narrator pronounce Nicolas Cage like a total weirdo (“Nicolas Ca-aaage”) at the 1:30 mark? B. JOSH LUCAS WTF!? I can’t even . If anyone needs me this weekend I’ll be watching Sweet Home Alabama on repeat wondering how things could go so wrong over the course of 10 years. Verdict : Folks, we’ve got to buy tickets and make this a hit so that poor Josh Lucas never has to go oily-skinned and straggly-haired again. EVER. Mmkay? Director Simon West and Nicolas Cage re-team for the first time since CON AIR for STOLEN, a fast paced action thriller set during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. WILL MONTGOMERY (Nicolas Cage) is a master thief who after being double-crossed in a heist gone awry is sent to prison for 8 years. Upon his release he’s ready to leave his criminal past behind and try to rebuild a relationship with his estranged daughter ALLISON. The FBI and his old cohorts believe that he hid the loot from the last heist 8 years ago, $10 Million in Bonds. To get his hands on it, his old partner VINCENT kidnaps Allison and demands the entire $ 10 Million as ransom. Keeping her in the soundproofed trunk of a Taxi Cab, he’s able to stay mobile amongst the throngs of taxis out during Mardi Gras day making it nearly impossible to find. Montgomery only has one day to get the $10 Million ransom but much to the disbelief of the FBI on his trail and Vincent, Will doesn’t actually have it. Instead, he must trust his instincts and his old partner in crime, the beautiful, sexy and smart RILEY, to do one more, clever heist to get his daughter back alive before it’s too late. And he’s not the first: Zac Efron and Channing Tatum also got their starts with Adam Shankman. By Amy Wilkinson Diego Boneta Photo: MTV News Producer/director/choreographer Adam Shankman is clearly a man of many talents, but perhaps the ” Rock of Ages ” helmer should consider adding “talent scout” to his r
The Rock of Ages cast came out to London this weekend for that movie’s European premiere, and while a shirtless Tom Cruise – as singer Stacee Jaxx – has been receiving a bulk of the film’s attention so far, take note, fellas: The movie features some serious female hotties as well. Two cases in point: Julianne Hough, who portrays Sherrie Christian; and Malin Akerman, who takes on the role of Constance Sack. Both attended the aforementioned premiere and both are featured below. I posted pictures earlier today of Audrina Patridge and Stacy Keibler calling the duo a sexy tag team, but after seeing these pictures of Malin Akerman and Julianne Hough getting up close and personal at the Guys Choice awards, I think I might be torn as to which team is hotter. I think the only fair way to determine the winner is a no holds barred tag team girl-on-girl evening gown leg wrestling match. I’ll bring the baby powder, in case there’s any chafing.
Hough and Diego Boneta tackle the Foreigner classic in this Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week clip. By Terri Schwartz Julianne Hough in “Rock of Ages” Photo: Warner Bros. There was only one way to end Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week , and that was to go out with a bang — a rock-and-roll bang with “Rock of Ages.” Stars Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Malin Akerman and director Adam Shankman are on hand to answer a 30-minute Q&A following the movie, but not before they introduced a brand-new clip from “Rock of Ages” for our viewing pleasure. So feast your eyes on the beginning of Hough and Boneta’s rousing take on Foreigner’s “Jukebox Hero.” Clearly some sparks are flying between Hough’s Sherrie Christian and Boneta’s Drew Boley as they search for the right vinyl to buy in a record store. Sherrie’s eyes light up when Drew admits that he wants to be the next Stacee Jaxx, though we’re not sure how Stacee Jaxx feels about that goal. That admission prompts the duo to jump into a stirring, head-banging interpretation of “Jukebox Hero.” Though it’s only a brief tease — they don’t even get to the chorus! — we know from the track list for the soundtrack that this song is actually a medley with Russell Brand and Alec Baldwin’s take on “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll.” Now that’s something we’re dying to see. We’re expecting lots of “Rock of Ages” references during the 2012 MTV Movie Awards , what with Brand hosting . The Brit is known for his tendency to go off the wall while hosting MTV awards shows, so we’re hoping he pulls the during the Movie Awards. Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! The 21st annual MTV Movie Awards air live this Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET. “Even though the media exhibit enormous sophistication and historical perspective in a thousand different ways — not that I can think of a specific example right now — they are far too often bedazzled by the sheer novelty of a story. If you watch cable news, for example, you know all too well that if there are two child kidnappings in the same month, the first one gets far more attention than the second. This same law applies to box-office bombs. With Battleship , the fascination with Hollywood flop sweat had already worn off. When I asked a veteran showbiz reporter why his publication had spent so little time covering the demise of Battleship , he joked: ‘I guess we all had the same reaction — didn’t we just write that story already?'” [LAT]
