Days after launching an injunction in a civil case against Closer magazine, Kate Middleton and Prince William have filed a criminal complaint in a French court. Seeking justice against those who disseminated Kate Middleton topless photos last week, the complaint asks prosecutors to charge the paparazzo behind the shots. Of course, there was no name listed in the royals’ criminal complaint, as it’s unclear who was responsible for taking the pics published in the celebrity gossip mag. Under French law, those convicted of violating Will and Kate’s privacy – the unnamed paparazzo and Closer ‘s editor, in theory – could face thousands of euros in fines. A possible one-year jail sentence is also on the table, albeit unlikely. As it happened, Closer removed the pics from its website on Friday shortly after being sued, and before the criminal complaint was even filed by the royals. However, Closer ‘s Italian sister publication, Chi, ran a 26-page spread today of Kate Middleton nude and topless images, many of them the same as Closer ‘s. A statement released by Mondadori, the group that owns Chi and Closer, defended the decisions made by the respective editors to run a report on the pictures: “The publisher respects the arguments put forward by the editors.” Watch Closer ‘s editor stand by the decision after the jump …

Jef Holm and Emily Maynard have certainly been put to the test ever since The Bachelorette ended, but so far, they have passed that test with flying colors. Between rumors of Emily cheating and the ever-present Bachelor curse (i.e. no one on the show actually stays together), things may not have looked good. Good thing is, no one bothered to tell them that. Not only are they not breaking up, they can’t stand to be apart, according to E! News, which heard it from the southern belle and Jef Holm themselves last week. Said Emily Maynard of her husband-to-be: “It’s so crazy how easy it is for me to be around him and um, you’re with somebody a lot and you’re together a lot and they start to get on your nerves a little bit.” “He does not get on my nerves! We can be together all the time and only leave each other to go to the bathroom, and I will miss him while I’m in the bathroom.” Safe to say she’s probably not sexting other men with that kind of mentality. As far as a wedding goes, that is still in the plans; Jef just moved to Charlotte. She did have something to say about his upcoming bachelor party, joking that ideally, it’ll take place on “An all men’s island where they do a lot of reading.” Not sure about that, Em, but we wouldn’t worry about Jef. The Voice Season 3 just got underway, but is there already a casting shake-up in the works for Season 4? According to a new report, at least, there may well be: Usher and Shakira are replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. Alleged insiders say Shakira and Usher would take the place of Christina and Cee Lo alongside Adam Levine and Blake Shelton at the end of the current season. Earlier this month, Aguilera opened up to Ryan Seacrest about the show, admitting she once viewed her job as a coach on The Voice “kind of like a side project.” “[I thought], ‘It’ll keep me close to my son [Max, 4] in L.A. I don’t have to travel,” the Grammy winner said. “Then it kind of took off, and there goes my free time!” The Voice sources say Christina will use her break from the program to focus on tours and promotional duties surrounding the release of her new album, Lotus . Christina Aguilera’s “Your Body” , the first single from the upcoming record, is already out. Green, for his part, is currently working with NBC on a new show. The rumor comes just as speculation surrounding American Idol ‘s revolving door ends: Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban will join Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey as judges. What do you think? Snooki is showing off her maternal side. The main man in the Jersey Shore star’s life is Lorenzo Dominic LaValle, born just a couple of weeks ago. Like her co-stars, he’s loud and up at all hours of the night! Snook seems like she’s taken to motherhood and her changing lifestyle well, at least for the time being. The star (real name Nicole Polizzi) is all about momming. “I love you,” she tweeted Saturday, with this cute pic: Will she be a perennial Mom of the Year contender? That remains to be seen, but in the early going, she seems quite smitten with her new role, and her little man. “Ugh just looking at Lorenzo and I start crying happy tears!” the 24-year-old former train wreck wrote last week. “I’ve never been so happy in my life!!!” Snooki and fiance Jionni Lavalle have been adjusting to parenthood, and that means occasionally fighting off insults from those who say they’re not ready. “I’m surprised your pump bra doesn’t pump alcohol instead of milk,” one user wrote on Twitter, to which Snooki replied: “Good one. Forget The Avengers. The new American Idol judging team is now officially assembled. A day after Fox confirmed Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban as the show’s new panelists – joining already-announced Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson – the network has released the first official promotional photo of this quartet and host Ryan Seacrest. Looks like The Dawg is in his usual seat… American Idol heads in to Season 12 with a number of questions, following its lowest rated run of episodes in years. With this new unit change the show’s fortunes, appealing to fans of country, pop and rap as the series clearly hopes? Will Carey and Minaj clash on set? And does Fox secretly hopes that’s the case? American Idol is set to go a little bit country. Sources tell TMZ that Keith Urban is on the verge of signing a contract with the Fox competition. He would earn around $3 million for Season 12 and sit alongside Mariah Carey (confirmed for the panel) and Nicki Minaj (nearly confirmed). A show insider also claims Randy Jackson is out , while a fourth judge reportedly WILL be included on the panel. Following the arrest of Alicia Guastaferro on prostitution charges Monday night, the former Wife Swap star’s husband has spoken out and… … wait, what?!? Yes, the 20-year old is married to someone named Scott Kleveno , who tells TMZ he tied the knot with Alicia last November at Niagra Falls, but separated from her a few months ago. And he isn’t shocked by her run in with the law. “With her not coming home on several occasions, the prostitution arrest is no surprise to me,” Kleveno says, explaining that Guastaferro worked as a dancer during their marriage and would often meet up with customers late at night outside the club. Kleveno moved to Florida after the couple split, but adds that Guastaferro has a history with James Doyle, the 54-year old lawyer police caught her with this week and for whom she claims she served as a call girl. Scott says a divorce is pending, but he’s waiting on the paperwork.

Chris Lighty, hip hop mogul and longtime manager of big names such as 50 Cent, Diddy, Ja Rule and Mariah Carey , was found dead in NYC this morning. Lighty apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot would to the head. According to law enforcement sources, the 44-year-old Lighty’s body was found by police around 11:30 a.m. in the back yard of his Bronx apartment. Chris Lighty was pronounced dead on the scene, where a semi-automatic firearm was recovered. The death is being investigated as a possible suicide. TMZ reports that he had been in an argument with his ex-wife and shot himself; the duo divorced last year and Lighty hadn’t been the same since. Our condolences to those who knew and loved Chris.
