Who’d Make the Better Marilyn Monroe: Naomi Watts or Michelle Williams?

Today, word broke of the next project from director Andrew Dominik (of the woefully underseen The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford ): an adaptation of the Joyce Carol Oates novel Blonde , with Naomi Watts set to star as Marilyn Monroe. There’s only one problem: Michelle Williams is also about to play the silver screen bombshell in Simon Curtis’s My Night with Marilyn . So, we put it to you: if only one of these projects gets the go-ahead, which Marilyn would you like to see?

Late Night Highlights: Marilyn Monroe’s X-Rays, J. Lo’s Scent and Jay Leno’s Sex Ed

You may not know this, but George Lopez is Kate Gosselin’s biggest fan when it comes to Dancing with the Stars . I am not sure what he has invested in the mother of eight’s win, but he has repeatedly begged his Lopez Tonight viewers to vote for her, rallied his Twitter followers and even appealed to Larry King’s audience last week to “Vote for Kate!” Last night, the TBS comedian took his support up a notch by inviting Steve-O onto the show to literally staple his support. That clip, as well as the other highlights you missed last night while cursing the fact that your network forfeited Bret Michaels for nine spoiled party girls, after the jump.

Now, it seems the singer/songwriter is expressing his love for sassy pop star Ke$ha on the site. He’s also calling out all the haters for their criticism of Ke$ha’s raucous pop. “Stop telling your friends you detest the Ke$ha song and then dancing to it at home,” he tweeted . “How about some accountability, people?” He later added : “How can you watch Jersey Shore for 9 hours and then act like you only listen to Beethoven’s fifth? Okay. Point made. Night.” He also took to the site to personally reach out to the singer and joke with her about the lyrics to her hit song “Tik Tok.” “Dear Ke$ha, you have won me over with your tricks and charms and I must tell you I really like your song,” he wrote . “Though I must add I tried brushing with a bottle of Jack and I chipped a tooth on the glass. Where might I remit an invoice?” Mayer’s tweets were welcomed by Ke$ha, who responded with some lyrics from her latest tune, “Blah Blah Blah”: “Dear john mayerrr. Don’t be a little bi— wit ur chit chat. Jus $how me whur ur di–‘s at. X.” With Ke$ha’s birthday on Monday (March 1), there’s no word whether Mayer got her a present. But she made her b-day wishes clear on Twitter : “PS. IT’S MY MO F—ING BIRTH DAY. By Shaheem Reid Lil Wayne Photo: MTV News Nino Brown: The Road to Rikers, Part 3 In the latest video he’s sent to MTV News, Lil Wayne (a.k.a. @liltunechi) gave fans a little bit more insight to his work schedule over last weekend. With the clock ticking before he’s expected to begin his jail sentence on weapons charges Tuesday, Weezy filmed seven videos in one night — on the heels of shooting between nine and 10 videos in two days last month. In his latest video clip, Wayne says he shot footage for videos by Young Money artist Shanell (whom he recently denied rumors that having a child with , Diddy, Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes, Rick Ross — and of course we already know about the videos he shot for Drake and for himself. “Show these artists how to do it,” Wayne says on his tour bus in a clip shot by DJ Scoob Doo and sent to MTV News on Monday afternoon (March 1). “Seven videos in one night. Follow me, artists!” In the Drake video, “Afrika Boombata,” Weezy wears a Marilyn Monroe T-shirt. He had vaccilated between wearing that or one of his @liltunechi tees. We also know that the McCoy video is called “Tattoo Girl,” and the video for Diddy-Dirty Money is titled “Strobe Lights.” A early version of the Dirty Money song leaked weeks ago and features everyone performing over a techno-type beat. “When the ceiling hits the floor, I’m gonna find my way to the door,” Diddy sings on the leaked version of the record. Later, Weezy raps, “The strobe lights are dancing/ We’ve taken all the chances.” “I’mma show y’all the [work] ethic of a true artist,” Wayne said in one of the clips he sent to MTV News over the weekend. “You know what I’m talkin’ about?
