This idiot finally realized that he’d made a terrible mistake . Jeffrey Darnell Paul is the name of the guy that designed the flyer. He owns South Side Graphix and makes horrible life choices. “What was I thinking? Promotion,” Paul told NBC Miami. “It was proposed to me like a birthday bash for Martin Luther King, I put a flyer together without thinking about the effects it would have.” Paul said he received phone calls from people all over the country concerning the flyer and said he didn’t intend to be controversial. “I wasn’t trying to disrespect anybody,” he said. “It was just supposed to be a promotional thing, it wasn’t about disgracing Martin Luther King, it wasn’t about that.” Well, what the frik was he trying to accomplish?! It did promote some things, like how the human race can be full of complete idiots. “This is the owner’s first time seeing it,” manager Jermaine Robinson told the news network. “So we don’t condone this. This is Martin Luther King. We respect what he did. Today is the day for us to honor him.” Despite the criticism, he told the news outlet that he takes full blame for the mistake. “I apologize about it, I’m taking full responsibility,” he said. “I wish it could have gone down a different way but I’m learning from it and trust me, I’m not going down that route again.” So the actual club owner didn’t know anything about the flyer. Well that gives him sort of a pass. We’ll forgive him for now. The MLK event was actually cancelled after the flyer backlash. However, this doesn’t excuse the fact they had a strip club extravaganza planned for MLK day in the first place! More On Bossip! In case you forgot, the reason why most of you are off tomorrow is that today is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday. Had his life not been cut short on April 4, 1968, Dr. King would have been 83 today. But he once said that his number of years were not what mattered: “Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I’m not concerned about that now. I just want to do God’s will. And He’s allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I’ve looked over. And I’ve seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people will get to the promised land.” And if you are a person of color living in America, there is no denying that Dr. King played a great role to getting you to your “promised land.” Hit the flip and check out a few of our favorite photos of Dr. King over the years and ten facts you may not have know about him.
“You’re going to see some d–k. You’re going to see Jason Segel’s d–k.” – Chris Pratt on the star of his upcoming film, The Five-Year Engagement. Jason Segel proved in Forgetting Sarah Marshall that he is not afraid to let it all hang out. His next film reinforces that positive life philosophy. Segel and Emily Blunt star in the flick (out April 27) as a couple who has been engaged for … yeah. Five years. Pratt plays Segel’s best friend. Check out the trailer for the upcoming release below: The Five-Year Engagement Trailer Asked about the context in which we’ll be seeing Segel’s nether regions this time out, Pratt said dead seriously to E! Online , “Flaccid, I guess.” The Parks & Rec star continued, “Well, it will probably be medium flaccid, to be honest. If I know Jason, he’s going to get a little blood in there.” Terrific. You’ve been warned, Chelsea Gill .

It’s not very often I’ve got something complimentary to say about Fergie , not that I have anything against her, but she’s not exactly a natural beauty. Anyhow, today is an exception. Here she is dropping some of that cougar-like cleavage at the premiere of New Year’s Eve the other night. Now this Fergie I can handle. It just makes sense, if your face is busted, hide it behind some fat cleavage. I think it was Martin Luther Jr who said that.
‘It’s just too much doubt,’ Outkast MC tells ‘RapFix Live’ of Georgia death-row inmate’s scheduled execution on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. By Rob Markman Freeway Photo: MTV News With the planned execution of Georgia death-row inmate Troy Davis set for Wednesday (September 21), Big Boi and Freeway are asking people to pray. “The best thing to do is you gotta pray,” Big Boi said on Wednesday’s “RapFix Live” via Skype from Atlanta. “Anything is possible; we’re looking for a miracle right now.” In-house “RFL” guest Freeway agreed with the Outkast rapper. “I think Big Boi said it the best: The best thing people can do is pray for him, man. The power of prayer is unbelievable, man.” Davis’ lawyers have been fighting for a last-minute appeal on his behalf, hoping to be granted a clemency ruling that would spare him the death penalty after he was convicted in the 1989 killing of Georgia police officer Mark MacPhail, a crime Davis claims he did not commit. Big Boi has been supporting Davis’ family. And when he Skyped into “RapFix Live” at approximately 4:30 p.m. ET, just hours before the inmate’s scheduled execution, he told host Sway that he was at a rally outside the prison in Jackson, Georgia, where Davis is being held. “It’s a lot of support, a lot of people,” Big said of the rally. “They got over a million petition signatures saying they should commute his sentence or grant him clemency, so it’s an injustice for everybody right here, right now.” Pill, who first helped shed light on Troy Davis’ situation by flashing a “Justice for Troy Davis” poster in the video for his 2009 single “Trap Gon Ham,” also spoke his piece. “I think it’s an injustice,” the Maybach Music rapper told Sway via Skype. “I feel like somebody like Martin Luther King marched for things like this not to happen and it feels like it was pointless.” Atlanta-based Pill went on to compare Davis’ case with the controversial Casey Anthony verdict earlier this year. “He’s an innocent man, how can you kill an innocent man,” Pill questioned, “and you let a woman who you know killed her daughter walk free? That’s messed up.” Big Boi was a bit more measured with his words, pointing out that Davis’ lawyers have argued that new ballistics tests disprove the prosecution’s case and that seven of the nine original eyewitnesses changed all or part of their testimony in later proceedings. For the Outkast rapper, there just isn’t enough evidence. “It’s just too much doubt, all the way around it’s just too much doubt,” he argued. ‘Sometimes people get stuck off of one style I got,’ Raekwon tells MTV News about 1995’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. … By Rob Markman Raekwon Photo: MTV News For Raekwon , the success of his 1995 classic debut, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx … , is a double-edged sword. While the Wu-Tang Clansman celebrated and performed songs from his first album on Saturday at Rock the Bells in New York, he admitted to MTV News that sometimes the OB4CL admiration distracts from his other work. “It is a gift and a curse, because sometimes people get stuck off of one style I got, and that’s cool if that’s what you love,” Rae said backstage at Rock the Bells before he and Ghostface performed Cuban Linx … for thousands of fans. “I mean, I wanna be loved regardless by the fans because they help me pay my bills and allow me to still be here, but as long as you know what I’m capable of.” The Chef got his start as a member of Wu-Tang Clan in 1993, but after dropping the much-celebrated Cuban Linx…, Raekwon was held as one of New York’s biggest rap draws, right along with the Notorious B.I.G., Nas and Method Man. Since then, Rae dropped Immobilarity in 1999 and The Lex Diamond Story four years after that. In 2009, the Staten Island MC returned with Only Built 4 Cuban Linx … Pt. II , and last year he released his fifth solo album, Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang . Still, having such highly regarded debut can be a lot to deal with at times. “Of course I get tired of people dwelling on that, but at the same time, that’s me, that made me a Martin Luther King rap n—a, that put me in a certain box. So if that’s what you know me by, as long as you know me from the get-down side,” he said. “Other than that, all I can do is keep climbing and keep growing and that’s all I been doing.” In true Chef fashion, Raekwon used food to draw his perfect analogy, comparing his albums to prime cuts of meat. “Every now and then, it do feel like, ‘Yo, check this out, leave that steak alone, that sirloin, and f— with New York steak or this rib eye or somethin’.” On August 1, Rae celebrated the 16-year anniversary of the Purple Tape and spoke with RapFix about its impact. “I knew I had a classic when I formulated with these nine members in this group,” he said of his camaraderie with the Wu. “Everything at that time that we was making, we was so sharp, it was supervisual already.” Related Artists Raekwon
