Last week, we reported on the sad news of yet another tragic loss within the Duggar family. On October 2, Rebecca Waller was killed instantly when she ran a red light and was struck by two cars near her home in rural Minnesota. She was just 22 years old. Rebecca was the sister of David Waller, who is married to Anna’s sister, Priscilla. Though there were several degrees of separation and a distance of many miles between them, Anna and Rebecca reportedly enjoyed a close bond, As David wrote in his loving tribute to his departed sister , Anna’s family is an exceptionally close-knit clan. And it seems the loss of such a young life in such a senseless accident created a shockwave of grief that resonated throughout the Waller and Duggar families. This week, Anna became the latest member of her extended family to honor Rebecca’s memory on social media. She posted the above photo of her beloved relative along with a heartfelt caption: “Life is a precious gift and sometimes it seems MUCH too short,” Anna wrote. “We were heartbroken when Rebecca Waller (my brother-in-law, David Waller’s youngest sister) passed away suddenly in a tragic car accident this week.” “The memories our family made with Becca over the years will be cherished forever!” Anna continued. “She lived her 22 years of life (though so short) to the fullest. “Rebecca loved God and served others diligently, she was energetic, gave the best hugs, and was a blessing to everyone who knew her!” she concluded. The loss could not have come at a more difficult time for Anna. Currently pregnant with her sixth child , Anna has been forced to cope with two unexpected deaths in the span of just four months. Back in June, Jim Bob’s mother, Mary Duggar, passed away in a freak drowning accident. While she was also was not an immediate family member, Anna had formed a close bond with Mary in the years since she married into the Duggar clan. Needless to say, Anna’s current pregnancy has not been an easy one from an emotional standpoint. Though these recent losses may have led her to an even deeper appreciation for the time she’s able to spend with her loved ones. W hile some people were celebrating that Amber Guyger was convicted of murdering Botham Jean in Dallas, Texas on Sept. 6 2018, there was another injustice happening in Georgia. Former police Zechariah Presley was acquitted of voluntary manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of unarmed Black man Tony Green . He was only 33. SEE ALSO: Complaint Filed Against Judge Tammy Kemp For ‘Unconstitutional’ Behavior After Amber Guyger Sentencing According to the Associated Press , Pastor Mack De’Von Knight, whose church Green attended, said outside of the courthouse, “He admitted that he killed Tony Green in cold blood, To me, it’s hunting season for the young Black man and we’re being gunned down in the streets and there’s no repercussions, there’s no consequences for these officers.” Presley said he followed Green’s car on the night of On the evening of June 20, 2018, Presley was reportedly following Green’s car because he believed he was driving with a suspended license. According to “dash camera video showed Green drive the car off the road, then open the door and run. He briefly returned to the vehicle to grab an unseen object, then fled again.” Presley chased Green on foot, the two struggled, which could not be be seen on camera. Green was then shot eight times. The AP also reported, “On the witness stand Wednesday, Presley added details he had not mentioned previously. He said he opened fire after Green turned back to face him and extended an arm, saying he feared Green had a gun. Investigators determined the object in his hand was a cellphone.” Prosecutor Rocky Bridges slammed this new account in the closing argument, saying, “He made a fatal mistake and it was a mistake that cost a man his life. You don’t have to like Tony Green. … He ran from the police, not a good decision. But he was not armed. He did not turn on officer Presley. He did not deserve to die.” Nonetheless, he was acquitted of manslaughter charges. However, the jury did find Zechariah Presley guilty of violating his oath of office. Jana Kramer may finally need to end her marriage. The country singer, perhaps best known for her role on One Tree Hill back in the day, has been open for years about her problems with husband Mike Caussin. Specifically, he’s a sex addict who has cheated on Kramer multiple times. Has he really turned his life around, though? Is he over this so-called “addiction” and done being disloyal to his wife? Kramer now has a rather strong reason to believe otherwise. On Monday’s new installment of iHeartRadio’s Whine Down podcast, listeners tuned in for an open and raw conversation between the couple as they shared details from a recent fight. The fight centered around Mike having recently received a woman’s topless photo via text …. that he claimed to have immediately deleted, yet didn’t tell his wife about. The ex-One Tree Hill star later found out about it after going through Mike’s Apple Watch, which triggered major trust issues. “I see it and I know the right thing to do is to go get Jana, pull her aside and say, ‘Hey. I just received this. I don’t know what the hell it is but I just need you to know,'” Mike said on the podcast, prior to explaining why he withheld the text: “I was terrified to do so…Jana and I have had a really good run recently — like not a lot of past stuff coming up, we’ve been handling situations pretty well, handling triggers pretty well, talking things out. “It really felt like we were really building a lot of forward momentum…” Naturally, Jana jumped in, this discovery made her think back to Mike’s history of infidelity. “When I looked, I was like God damnit. I saw it and my heart just fell. It’s here. It’s happened again,” she shared while trying to hold back tears. “I’m such a f-cking idiot and I immediately called my best friend and I was just shaking crying outside and then I called the number and then I texted it and it was like: “‘Sorry hun, can’t talk on the phone. Do you want me to come over?’ and I was just like, ‘You texted my husband. I would love to know your correspondence. “Please from one woman to another.'” Uhhh, the woman who sent your husband a topless photo, getting a call from your husband’s phone, asked if she should come over? Doesn’t that tell you all that needs to be said, Jana? Apparently not. Kramer went on to say the messages got “really weird,” leading her to believe that perhaps it wasn’t even a real person — and then added that Mike’s deleting of the image was the most hurtful aspect of this scandal. “The deleting things — whether it was a fluke text — sends me right back to him deleting all the messages that he did with his affairs,” she told fans. “It’s just heavy. Why did they choose to do so? “Up until a day ago Mike and I wanted to pull the episode completely and just not have an episode for today because it was that heavy for us,” she explained. “Instead I put my big girl pants on and started to record with Mike after a very long and intense 24 hours of not talking to each other.” “In the beginning of the ep I truly tried to put the acting chops on and play cool but it’s evident as the episode went on that didn’t happen.” Kramer concluded as follows: We decided to open the door into what happened and woah did we let it all out. Those of you may not understand the trauma and the pain around what we talked about and openly shared so please be nice and know we ended up keeping the episode because we hope it can help. In a talk with Shadow and Act for his new movie with Eddie Murphy , “Dolemite Is My Name”, Snipes was asked about the “New Jack City” project. His response? “I’m not associated with it, you know. I’m have nothing to do with it at all,” he said. When pressed about his specific feelings for the flick, Snipes explained: “I think some things should be left alone…if it worked at the time under the circumstances. And the story was built around things that are current. I don’t particularly like the idea of recreating the drug culture. For what? […] I don’t know. They actually talked to me about doing it and I told them no. If I had a dime for every time I’ve said no. It’s a done deal, it’s a wrap.” The original “New Jack City” premiered in 1991 and it served as Mario Van Peebles ‘ directorial debut. It told the story of New York City drug lord Nino Brown (Snipes) and the detective, Scotty Appleton ( Ice-T ) who goes undercover to plot his downfall. Along with Snipes and Ice-T starring in the movie, Chris Rock, Michael Michele , and Allen Payne also had significant roles. Deadline made the announcement that the flick would be receiving a reboot, although the writer for the movie, Malcolm M. Mays deemed it a “sequel” on Instagram. Along with being a writer, Mays has also had a reoccurring role on the FX drama “Snowfall,” which also explores the inner workings of the drug world only this time, in L.A. where Mays is from. “New Jack City” has had major cultural impact, especially serving as the launching pad for the acting careers of Rock, Payne and Ice-T. Rock was especially memorable to audiences for his dramatic turn as “Pookie” Benny Robinson, a crack addict who eventually becomes a police informant and infiltrates the Cash Money Brothers gang. The flick was made for an estimated $8 million, according to Deadline, and it grossed around $48 million at the domestic box office. Although Mays is set to pen the script for the sequel, there is no director attached yet. Meanwhile, Mays is gearing up to direct and produce the feature film “Flint,” starring John Ortiz and T.I. The movie will follow a converted ex-con who’s found peace in the Tao principles. He finds himself caught up in a murder mystery set upon by his ex-lover and young mentee. His journey plays out in the backdrop of the Flint, MI water crisis and soon connections are made between the protagonist’s mystery and the water crisis afflicting the community where he grew up. Anyone who follows the news received a blast from the past after Miley Cyrus was spotted making out with Cody Simpson . Unfortunately, some of her “fans” took her to task for not waiting some sort of imaginary grace period before moving on from Kaitlynn Carter . Now, Miley is shutting down sexist double-standards and pleading with fans to give her some space while she figures out how to date again. Miley Cyrus opted to post a pair of lengthy messages via the Notes App. “I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru [sic] from the beginning,” Miley begins. “I think that’s why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it,” she speculates. Miley reasons: “because they’ve watched me grow up. “But,” she reminds fans. “I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality.” Miley then points out: “People only ‘know’ what they see on the internet.” “Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut shamed,” Miley correctly observes. “They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence,” she continues. Miley notes: “They are usually referred to as ‘legends,’ ‘heartthrobs,’ ‘G,’ ‘Ladies Man,’ etc…where women are called sluts/whores!” That’s true and it is an infamous and unfair double standard. And no, Leo DiCaprio getting shaded for almost exclusively dating very young women does not balance out a massive cultural disparity. “I am trying to just thrive, survive in a ‘man’s world,'” Miley explains to her fans and followers. “If we can’t beat em, join em!” she then writes. This is where her message takes an odd turn. “If our president can ‘grab em by the p–sy…’ can’t I just have a kiss and acai bowl?!?!” she asks. Why … why would she bring up sexual assault in this conversation? “I refuse to recluse and ‘date’ from home cause A. That’s not fun B. Extremely uncomfortable / puts me in a vulnerable position,” Miley writes. “I would like to share an activity with someone I am dating,” she says. “And not be stuck at home with pretty much nothing to do but ‘Netflix and chill.'” For the record, there are countless things that one can do at home aside from streaming a show or boning each other’s lights out. But that doesn’t make Miley’s complaints any less valid. “This ‘dating’ thing is new to me too,” Miley reminds the world. “I’ve never been an ‘adult’/ grown ass woman experiencing this.” Man, remember back when she was dating Justin Gaston and all of the articles were about how hardcore he was about bible stuff? “I was in a committed relationship for almost all my teens and early 20s,” Miley recalls. Sofia Richie finally had her Keeping Up With the Kardashians debut! And if you weren’t glued to your TV screen to get an inside look at the dynamic between her, Scott Disick, and his ex-GF Kourtney Kardashian , then allow me to fill you in on all of the awkwardness . And yes, there was enough to make even Rob Kardashian cringe. On Sunday’s all-new episode of KUWTK, Scott, Kourtney, and their three kids all embarked on a wintry vacation to Finland — a vacay that would easily make any Christmas fanatic jealous. (hi) But what made this vacation really stand out from the other thousands the Kardashian/Disick family took this year was that there was one special guest — Scott’s 21-year-old girlfriend. And although Kourtney politely extended the invitation to the model, Scott felt out of place the entire trip and honestly, she probably should have stayed home. But hey, it made great TV and we were 100% here for all of the uncomfyness. Finland was Kourtney’s dream destination and Disick really wanted “to be there” for her, but instead, he found himself too caught up worrying about Sofia. “It’s just hard because I’m like, trying to make everybody happy,” the Flip It Like Disick star admitted to his ex. “Everyone has different things. And I want you to be comfortable, I want Sofia to be comfortable.” Sofia also expressed that she did feel a tad left out because Kourtney and Scott already have “their ways” of doing things, and she felt she didn’t always “fit” into their life. “I hadn’t really had a second, by myself, to even have a conversation to make her feel comfortable,” Disick said. “She’s never been in this life that we’ve been doing for 10 years. It’s just a lot and then it’s all on me every night and day.” However, the Poosh.com boss was empathetic towards her ex’s situation and even offered to help Richie through filming. “I think you put so much pressure on things to make it perfect. I do that too,” Kourt said to Scott. “But I’ve been not really doing that as much anymore. You just think like, ‘Oh! It’s one more experience we have that we didn’t have before.'” After the two’s heart to heart conversation, (but, like, where is Sofia?) Scott took on a more positive outlook and declared he was ready to “make the most of this trip.” This resolution came after Kourtney confronted Scott for being “negative” during tourist activities. Not only did Scott ruin Santa’s headquarter visit by ditching out early, but he also complained about the group’s hot tub hangout. Ok, fair. But Kourtney didn’t see the problem. “Scott really wanted to come with us to Finland. So, I don’t know why he’s just having such a negative attitude,” Kourtney said during a testimonial interview. “I just want everyone to have a great time and a great experience. He’s just kind of putting a dark cloud over it.” But it wasn’t just Kourtney who was upset at Scott’s behavior. Sofia accused her boyfriend of acting differently around Kourtney during dinner at the beginning of the vacation. “You’re a lot more sophisticated with me when Kourtney’s around. You turn into a five-year-old when it’s just us,” Richie told Scott. Ok, of course, his relationship with Sofia, who is 21 (20 in this scene) , is going to be completely different than his relationship with Kourtney, 40, who he has to be in full-on dad mode with. And does that mean Sofia wants him to be more sophisticated with her? Are we sensing some jealousy here?? (this season is delivering! all I have to say about that.) But anyway, Scott didn’t appreciate her comment. “Sometimes, you know, you have so many inside jokes or inside things with somebody you’ve known for so long — even if you’re not romantically with them — you don’t really know how to act,” Disick admitted later on to the cameras, not to Sofia, of course. “It is definitely a really hard and awkward situation and I just feel bad.” But at the end of the day/episode, the 36-year-old just wanted his big blended family “to be happy.” Scott finally was able to relax once he realized that the kids and Kourtney were still having fun even when he and Sofia were having alone time, so I guess the trip was a success? Busking is not only a way for performers to get their music and art out, but also to make money. I have no qualms with the high end brand using this creative manner to launch their latest line; however, could they have supported more artists? What would this have looked like if they had created a band for Willow, using musicians who actually busk in the London tube? That would have been a phenomenal platform for them. Personally, I always have to give a slight side eye when a high end brand uses an activity or borrows from a culture that lacks socio-economic resources to further promote their brands and sales. Busking is not something rich people do (and it’s highly doubtful you would see a musician doing this in a subway or tube station wearing Prada). If the brand was going to borrow from the musical culture, they could have shined lights on musicians doing this as well, using Willow Smith’s platform (and their own) to help amplify it.
