Rick Ross And Usher’s ‘Touch ‘N You’ Is For ‘The Ladies’

Still, as apathetic as the Bawse may portray himself, Rozay has a sweet spot when it comes to the ladies. So on “Touch ‘N You,” the new big money single off of Ross’ upcoming God Forgives, I Don’t, the Maybach CEO and guest star Usher Raymond show a little love to the hunnies. “It’s a real sexy record. I wanted to make sure the ladies knew that they could be a part of this movement, a part of this project,” Rick Ross told MTV News on Thursday (May 24) from the “Touch ‘N You” video set in Atlanta. “I would never let the ladies down even if it’s a real hard album or however it may be titled.” The upcoming clip is directed by Chris Robinson (Lil Wayne “How to Love,” Jay-Z “Roc Boys”) and will of course co-star Usher. “It’s an incredible one, Chris once again comes together making an incredible video,” Usher told us. “It is a conceptual video depicting the world that Rozay is in. My participation is just to show up and be cool.” Cool is an understatement when it comes to Usher, who is riding high off of his #1 Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Song “Climax.” Ross is no stranger to love songs either; he’s given the ladies plenty to swoon over on singles like 2008’s “Here I Am” and 2010’s “Aston Martin Music,” but having Ush on a track adds a certain appeal. The combination of Raymond’s vocals and the sexy “Touch ‘N You” video should be just enough to help Rozay properly put his feelings in perspective. Sometimes after long studio sessions with Meek Mill, Wale and the rest of his MMG compadres, the Bawse just needs to get away, and that’s what he aims to capture in the clip. “It’s basically like a situation where life gets so hectic sometimes you just want to get away with that special female and that’s what this was based off,” he said. Beastie Boys Albums Storm iTunes Following Adam Yauch’s Death

Adam Yauch Photo: Bertrand Guay/ Getty Images In what has become a modern digital mourning ritual, fans of the Beastie Boys swarmed onto iTunes over the weekend to snatch up copies of the trio’s albums in honor of the passing of member Adam “MCA” Yauch. The rapper, who died on Friday 
 at age 47, left behind a legacy of eight studio albums with partners Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz 
 and Michael “Mike D” Diamond. With everyone from Madonna 
, to the B-Boys’ longtime DJ, Mix Master Mike and Justin Timberlake 
 paying homage, as well as in-concert shout-outs from Coldplay, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and fun. over the weekend, Yauch’s memory was clearly on the minds of his peers. But fans were feeling nostalgic as well, since all of the trio’s studio albums featuring their intricate rhymes rocketed onto the iTunes charts since the news broke friday. As of press time on Monday morning (May 7), the group’s 1986 debut, Licensed to Ill moved up to the #3 position on the iTunes album chart, with the sample-thick 1989 follow-up, Paul’s Boutique , on the chart at #13. A 1999 anthology charted at #26, followed by 1994’s Ill Communication at #27, 1992’s rock and rap hybrid Check Your Head (#38), their final studio effort, last year’s Hot Sauce Committee Part Two (#42), the Boutique re-issue (#83), 2004’s To the 5 Boroughs (#174) and the Head re-issue (#184). The sales surge followed the pattern of rush buying that accompanied the recent deaths of Whitney Houston 
, Amy Winehouse 
, Etta James and Michael Jackson 
. It’s likely that a number of the albums will make it onto the Billboard 200 chart this week as well when it is released on Wednesday. By Rahman Dukes Meek Mill Photo: MTV News PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia’s hip-hop prince Meek Mill celebrated 25 years of excellence Sunday night with a massive birthday gala that included ice sculptures, a fully catered private yacht party and a bristling charcoal black Range Rover Sport as a birthday gift. Arriving just before sunset, a fashionably late Meek illuminated the dark parking area across from his boat party, emerging from a pearl white Rolls Royce Phantom, greeted by his Maybach Music entourage. Rick Ross, Wale, French Montana, Juelz Santana, DJ Drama, Philadelphia 76ers basketball player Lou Williams and a host of family and friends were all on hand to wish Philly’s rap wonderkid well on his milestone. “I had to come home to support the big homey — I mean, the young boy, my young boy,” Philly native DJ Drama said. “I’m proud of him — celebrating his birthday, big mixtape in the streets, announces his album date. He’s really putting on for Philly.” Meek has much to celebrate, ringing in his born day with the release of the much-anticipated Dream Chasers 2 mixtape and his Club Paradise Tour on deck with fellow rapper Drake, J. Cole, Waka Flocka, 2 Chainz and French Montana. MMG’s young gun will hit the road for the trek starting Monday (May 7) with back-to-back dates leading into his Dreams and Nightmares debut album, which is locked in for a summer release. “Shout-outs to Meek Mill. He invited me to come f— with him for his birthday, so I came out here to show that love,” said a smiling Juelz Santana. “Meek doing his thing. He young and in the game. He doing it the right way, so I support that.” The idling Freedom Elite watercraft, which sat calmly docked on the chilly Delaware River, was packed with hundreds of partying guests, who showered the birthday boy with dozens of gifts. “We celebrating the boy born date, 25 years,” said Rick Ross, who last week set a July 31 release date for his long-awaited God Forgives, I Don’t . “And the homey doing big things.” Ross gave his Maybach star the most notable gift on his big night: a Range Rover. And it seems her sensible attitude in part explains her longevity. In an interview with The Sun, when asked about the criticism Adele received from designer Karl Lagerfeld , she had these wise words. “That’s horrible. That’s ridiculous, that’s just the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I don’t like it when anybody says anything bad about anyone — I don’t like it. Adele’s a great talent and how much she weighs has nothing to do with it,” she said. “The thing for Adele to remember is at the end of the day, whether you rise or fall, it has so much to do with how you sustain yourself and keep your integrity and your inner strength.” Her last bit of advice seems relevant not only to living pop stars, but also to two pop stars we lost in the last year. “It is all about who you surround yourself with — friends and people who really do care about you, and care about your well-being beyond being a superstar. That’s the most important thing,” she said, later addressing the losses of Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston. “One thing I was struck by with Whitney Houston is I remember she sort of came out as a singer around the same time I did,” Madonna added . “I remember looking at her singing and hearing people talk about her, and just thinking, ‘Oh my God. She’s such a beautiful woman and my God, what an incredible voice. The Throne’s ‘Otis’ Maybach Now A $60,000 Work Of Art

Funds raised from car’s auction will benefit Save the Children’s efforts in East Africa. By Rob Markman The Maybach in The Throne’s video for “Otis” Photo: Universal It seems that anything Jay-Z or Kanye West touches turns to gold, even their mangled Maybach-mobile. In the most memorable scene from their 2011 “Otis” video , the Throne rode around in a one-of-a-kind Maybach, chopped and screwed to their specifications. Last week, the $350,000 remixed vehicle sold for $60,000 at Phillips de Pury & Company’s New York Contemporary Art Evening Auction. The reason for the seemingly low bid? Well, the ‘Bach isn’t exactly street-ready. The gaudy chop-shop display wasn’t for naught as the proceeds of the sale will go to Save the Children, an organization that fights battles on behalf of children around the world. “Jay-Z and Kanye West are towering figures in contemporary culture. They have greatly contributed to the artificial barriers between art, music, fashion and cinema to come down,” Simon de Pury, chairman of Phillips de Pury and Company, said in a press release . “Their video for ‘Otis’ became an instant classic. The Maybach they have transformed for it has the starring role.” DUB magazine president and co-founder Myles Kovacs estimated that the custom job cost the Throne around $150,000, but by removing the vehicle’s doors, cutting off the roof and switching the bumper and grill, Hov and Yeezy dramatically lowered the value of the car. “The thing is, the value of that car is nothing now, you couldn’t drive it on the street,” he said in an August 2011 MTV News interview . “It would start malfunctioning big time.” If you think of the “Otis” Maybach as a piece of art rather than a fully functioning car, then the $60,000 auction fetch makes more sense. Rick Ross Announces Rich Forever European Tour

In promotion of his latest mixtape and all things MMG, the Bawse is hitting up Europe for his 14-date Rich Forever Tour, which begins in Lille, France, on March 21. According to AllHipHop.com , Rozay will not only be performing songs from his respected rap catalog, but also debuting new music from his upcoming God Forgives, I Don’t album. By the time Ross wraps things up April 4, he will have run through Switzerland, Norway, Germany, Holland and London. On Thursday, Ross released a music video for his “Spend It” freestyle. Rozay rocks a red and white Adidas tracksuit in the Spiff TV-directed video as he raps his bars over the 2 Chainz instrumental riding around in a black Maybach. It’s the same type of street material Ross has ruled with over the past year. His musical grind earned him the #1 spot on MTV News’ Hottest MCs in the Game list, placing him over the likes of Drake, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z. “It’s something I’ve been watching, something I’ve been a fan of forever. MTV News began the list last week with Wale at #10 . A new rapper was revealed each day until Sunday’s “Hottest MCs in the Game VII” debuted on MTV2. So how did the Bawse react to his crowning achievement? “I just got the news that I was voted the game’s Hottest MC, and man, it really means a lot to me, of course, but it’s an honor,” Rozay told MTV News from an L.A. recording studio. “It’s something I’ve been watching, something I’ve been a fan of forever. Of course, MTV, they run the game. MMG, we’re here. Shout-out to the whole team.” Ross topped the list, which also included Drake, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa and Wale. Each MC was judged based on our Hottest criteria, which included impact, buzz, sales, lyrics, swag and the intangibles. Rozay surely met all of the above. His impact on the game is undeniable, with his Maybach Music Group and key guest appearances on songs like Meek Mill’s “Ima Boss” and Lil Wayne’s “John,” Ross maintained a consistent buzz all year long. His Self Made, Vol. 1 compilation album debuted at #1 on the Billboard rap albums chart. Lyrically, Rozay was a force as well, and his swag was through the roof. In January, the Bawse lit up the streets when he dropped his free 19-song Rich Forever mixtape.
