Now that Bobbi Kristina Brown has passed away after nearly six months in a coma, her loved ones can have begun the process of grieving…and fighting over her fortune. But amidst all the drama at Bobbi Kristina’s funeral and the legal infighting that’s sure to consume her family for the next several years, some who knew the 22-year-old best are sharing fond memories of the bright-eyed aspiring singer who tragically succumbed to the same demons that claimed the life of her famous mother. One such friend is Sammy Tawil, who claims to have been the last person to speak to Krissi on the phone before the tragic accident that would eventually claim her life. “I spoke with her the day before she was found,” Tawil tells Radar Online . The longtime associate of the Brown family says Krissi was “like a daughter” to him and most of their final conversation consisted of her eagerly describing her future career plans. ‘“She wasn’t crying, she was upbeat, excited to go to L.A,” Tawil says. “She wanted to go in the studio.” Asked if he ever got the impression that boyfriend Nick Gordon was abusive to Bobbi Kristina , Tawil claims that she was so optimistic each time he spoke to her that he had never got the impression anything was amiss. “I didn’t sense anything bad,” he says. “She wasn’t depressed. I haven’t personally seen any flare-ups, fighting or physical contact with her or Nick.” Tawil attended the Bobbi Kristina’s burial in New Jersey last week, and he says that the ceremony was sparsely attended by “about 20 people.” He adds that the Brown and Houston families kept their distance from one another, but “there was no tension.” View Slideshow: Bobbi Kristina Brown: Mourned, Honored on Twitter
Donald Trump calls himself a “ratings machine” in this phone interview with CNN's Don Lemon. He says he gets “big crowds.” He says Megyn Kelly is a “lightweight” and he says he doesn't have “a lot of respect” for the Fox News anchor. But those quotes have not become the focus of most critics following Trump's performance in the GOP debate on Thursday night – in which he slammed Rosie O'Donnell in response to a question Kelly posed about his history of sexism – and following this Q&A with Lemon. “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes,” Trump told Lemon on Friday evening, actually then adding: ” Blood coming out of her wherever .” Yes, Donald Trump made a comment about Megyn Kelly's menstrual cycle as part of his diatribe against her. This is the leading Republican candidate for President at the moment. Trump is already on record as saying Kelly sucks , but might he finally lose some voters after going there with his criticism of a woman?
While everyone was watching trump, Clinton was owning social media…by attaching herself to a selfie with two of the most horrible thing America has to offer…Kardashians…they suck you in, eat your soul and take your money… I am not American, so I have no opinion on American Politics, but I am a logical person, and would say this is a blatant attempt to draw attention on herself, using “celebrities” who shouldn’t be celebrities, but are celebrities, because America is doomed…and the scary thing is, celebrity is enough for the massive, uneducated, consumer American who shops at Walmart and lives in poverty, and watches reality TV and reads tabloids, are the masses…and this probably will win Clinton votes… Imagine if your great politicians of the past, if that ever existed, used porn slut marketing tools to get votes… Oh what the world has become… The post Hilary Clinton and Kim Kardashian of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepfather .
“When it comes to women, you’ve called them fat pigs, dogs and slobs,” Megyn Kelly said. “Only Rosie O’Donnell,” Trump responded. Solid. Here’s his weak chinned daughter – Tiffany Trump – 21 and lovely… The post Donald Trump is a Joker of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepfather .
Jill and Jessa Duggar confirmed that they were molested by Josh Duggar in a candid interview with Megyn Kelly earlier this month, but other than that, the fan-favorite sisters have avoided the spotlight as much as possible in recent weeks. Jessa thanked fans for their support and offered an update on her pregnancy this week, but with the exception of the Kelly interview, she and her family have refused to speak to the press and have remained uncharacteristically quiet on social media. So it's not surprising that when Jessa, Jill and their husbands were spotted walking through the Akron, OH airport last night, a lone paparazzi tried his best to get the girls to open about how their lives have changed in the wake of the Josh Duggar sexual abuse scandal . Unfortunately for the persistent pap, the newlywed sisters and their shell-shocked husbands remembered their media training and kept mum. Check out the clip above to see Jill and Jessa handle the unwanted attention like a pair of seasoned pros.
Earlier tonight, Jill and Jessa Duggar were interviewed by Megyn Kelly in a one-hour Fox News special. The sisters had previously confirmed that they were molested by Josh Duggar , but this was the first time they were given the opportunity to offer their full account of the abuse they endured in 2002 and 2003. Jill and Jessa Duggar Interview, Part I Surprisingly, the sisters seem to bear no ill will toward the older brother who sexually assaulted them on several occasions. In fact, in the Kelly interview, they stated more than once that they’ve forgiven Josh for his actions, and they even dismissed his abuse as nothing more than “inappropriate touching” from a young man who was “curious about girls.” At one point, the sisters reminded viewers that they were unaware they were being molested, even when it occurred while they were awake. “We didn’t even know about it,” Jill said when asked about Josh’s abuse. She added that her brother was “very sly” in his actions. As for the media’s release of the police report that named Josh as a child molester , both sisters said they were shocked and outraged and believe themselves to be the victims of a conspiracy against their family. Asked about the police report that was released to In Touch Weekly in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, Jessa stated: “People that already don’t like our family would be the ones to spread this around, and maliciously do so, slanderously do so.” She went on to say that the media should “respect [the family’s] wish for things to remain private.” Jill built upon her sister’s accusations of slander by stating her belief that parents who have witnessed the Duggars PR nightmare might now stay silent. Victims might “take a pause before they do something to report … maybe these other victims will just not even have their situation dealt with.” The sisters then made the argument that the company that owns In Touch – Bauer Media Group – treated them like sex workers : View Slideshow: 21 Controversial Duggar Family Quotes “The tabloids who released this, they’re used to exploiting women,” Jill said. “Bauer,” Jessa added. “They’re a major porn provider. Maybe [that’s] their mindset. They’re just used to making objects out of women. Maybe we just didn’t seem any different.” The Bauer corporation is best known as the publisher of more than 400 magazine titles, most of which are mainstream periodicals, such as In Touch, Grazia and Empire. In both tonight’s interview and Jim Bob and Michelle’s earlier conversation with Kelly , the Duggars made the point that they feel more victimized by the media’s handling of their situation than by Josh’s abusive behavior. It’s a confusing argument, as the family goes from minimizing Josh’s actions as “mild touching” (that had been “dealt with” years before the Duggars rose to fame), to describing it as the darkest of family secrets that’s tragically been brought to light. Twitter is already abuzz with media figures bristling at the accusations, as generally when a case of child abuse is reported by a news outlet, the intent is not to shame the victims, but to help in some small way to ensure that justice is served and that the parties responsible are unable to claim further victims. By making sure the truth – however ugly it may be – is made public, responsible journalists can help to prevent abuse against children from being hidden and hushed-up, as happens far too often in our society. The Duggar girls stated that they are uncertain whether their family will pursue legal charges against the tabloids they feel are responsible for publicizing Josh’s past. Josh himself has yet to be interviewed account the scandal. View Slideshow: 23 Biggest Duggar Family Scandals
Earlier today, Megyn Kelly offered a preview of her interview with Jill and Jessa Duggar that’s set to air tonight on Fox News. Speaking with Extra, Kelly revealed that Jill and Jessa have forgiven Josh Duggar for molesting them several times when they were 11 and 9, respectively. Now, further information about the Duggar girls’ interview has been released, and the new excerpts suggest that Jill and Jessa have not only forgiven their older brother, they’ve also started offering justifications for his actions. Asked about the hypocrisy of a man who’s admitted to incestuous sex crimes condemning homosexuality as destructive to families, Jessa defended her brother’s right to talk out of both sides of his mouth: “It’s right to say ‘here’s what I believe, here’s my values,’ even if you’ve made stupid mistakes or failures,” Jessa says in the interview. “If you’ve had failures in your past it doesn’t mean you can’t be changed. I think that’s where, I think the real issue is people are making this sound like it happened yesterday.” The girls also addressed the steps their parents took to try and prevent further abuse from taking place, and the rumors that father Jim Bob designed the Duggar house to keep Josh away from the girls . “My parents said, ‘OK, we’re not going to do this hide and seek thing where two people go off and hide together,’” Jill says when asked about the precautions. “Locks on the doors. You know, everybody’s in bed — girls in the girls’ room, boys in the boys’ room.” A segment that aired on Wednesday night showed the girls confirming that they were molested by Josh and complaining of being victimized by the media. The Megyn Kelly interview with Jessa and Jill will air on Fox News tonight, beginning at 9 pm EST. View Slideshow: 23 Biggest Duggar Family Scandals
The conservative vs. liberal culture wars may be reaching new heights of absurdity this week in the wake of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s interview with Megyn Kelly . Lena Dunham is one of the many, many celebrities who have called for the cancelation of 19 Kids and Counting following the revelations that Josh Duggar molested five young girls , and his parents allowed the abuse to continue for over a year. Unfortunately, Dunham was involved in a “molestation” scandal of her own last year when she revealed that she sexually experimented with her younger sister when she was 7 years old. Obviously, that’s not in the same ballpark as what took place in the Duggars’ home, but nonetheless, in the minds of certain idiots, it leaves Dunham vulnerable to criticism in the discussion of such matters. Naturally, former Alaska governor and current national punchline Sarah Palin took the opportunity to attack Dunham from this angle in a lengthy screed she posted to Facebook just moments ago. “HEY LENA, WHY NOT LAUGH OFF EVERYONE’S SEXUAL ‘EXPERIMENTS’ AS YOU HAUGHTILY ENJOY REWARDS FOR YOUR OWN PERVERSION? YOU PEDOPHILE, YOU,” Palin’s rant begins. She then turns off the caps-lock but continues right on with the crazy: “I’m not defending the Duggar boy’s obvious wrongdoing over a decade ago…but I’m sickened that the media gives their chosen ones a pass for any behavior as long as they share their leftwing politics. “Case in point, they suggest Lena Dunham’s sexual assault on her sibling is cute, and she’s rewarded for it with fame and fortune. Meanwhile, they crucify another, along with an entire family. “The Duggar debate needs to shift from solely the boy’s obvious wrongdoing when he was 14 years old to…The media’s hell-bent mission to go after the entire Duggar family for one member’s wrongdoing, while giving a total pass to perverted actions of someone like Lena Dunham – or any other leftwinger celeb caught doing awful things.” Palin concludes by saying: “Welcome to my world; believe me – what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!” There are so many problems with this argument that it’s hard to know where to begin, but we’ll start with: Holy hell, did Sarah Palin just use the phrase “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” in an argument about childhood sexual abuse?!?!? It might take us a while to get over the infuriating idiocy of that comment, but in the meantime, we’d like to point out that there was an absolute shitstorm over Dunham’s comments about her sister, to the point that she was forced to cancel a leg of her book tour and temporarily disappear from the public eye. Ya know, just like Josh Duggar is doing right now. But we’re sure there are plenty of other beloved liberals who committed heinous acts of sexual abuse without anyone in the media taking notice. We’ll put on our most garish sweaters and enjoy a Jell-O Pudding Pop while we try to think of one. View Slideshow: 29 WTF Quotes From Lena Dunham’s New Book Of course, Palin is correct in her assertion that the media is making a bigger deal out of the Duggars than they ever did with Dunham. As far as we can tell, there are two reasons for this: The Duggars are far more popular and influential, and thus, more likely to make the evening news, and LENA DUNHAM WAS 7 YEARS OLD AND JOSH DUGGAR WAS 15!!! The worst part about Palin’s argument is that she’s attempting to turn the repeated abuse of several young girls over the course of a year into a political issue. It is not. It is a moral issue, a legal issue, and a crucial societal issue. Young men who do what Josh Duggar did should go to prison, and that is not a matter that needs to be debated on the floor of Congress. If you disagree, the problem is not with your politics… View Slideshow: Sarah Palin Photos? You Betcha!
