‘The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)’ debuted on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Monday morning. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber in the “Mistletoe” video Photo: Island Def Jam On November 1, Justin Bieber will take his fans Under the Mistletoe on his holiday album. But he’s giving them an early treat by releasing his Usher duet, “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire),” on Monday (October 24). The song dropped on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show . Its vibe is reminiscent of ’90s R&B tracks, and it sounds a lot like it could have been recorded by Boyz II Men, who also appear on the album. The Christmas classic is all about the little joys of the holiday season, including the family get-togethers, the food and Santa bringing presents to children. The song, one of the classics that appears on the album, hits iTunes on Monday. Bieber and Usher previously appeared together on “Somebody to Love” off My World 2.0. “Justin and I did the classic record ‘Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.’ This record is going to be remembered for years to come,” Usher told Seacrest on Monday morning. “It’s a record that has always been one of my favorites, and I’m happy that I was able to share it with Justin, and for us to put it out. The album is full of surprises. Justin’s Under the Mistletoe is going to be incredible!” In the lead-up to the release, Bieber released some behind-the-scenes footage of his mentor and him in the studio working on the song. He also shared that he had another surprise in store for his fans. Just one week after dropping the video for “Mistletoe,” he tweeted , “Up early to shoot another video for #UNDERTHEMISTLETOE #Nov1st but something else is out this morning….” In addition to Usher, Under the Mistletoe will also feature appearances from the Band Perry, Busta Rhymes, Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey, who re-recorded her classic “All I Want for Christmas” for the album. Yes, Caitlin Koch we will still love you tomorrow. Kutcher and Demi Moore’s marriage is reportedly on the rocks. By Jocelyn Vena Ashton Kutcher on “Two and a Half Men” Photo: CBS Ashton Kutcher is already stirring up trouble at his new network. As the new star of “Two and a Half Men,” Kutcher reportedly angered CBS when he allegedly promoted Foursquare, Flipboard, Hipmunk, GroupMe and Chegg on Monday’s episode, using stickers with those companies’ names on his character Walden Schmidt’s laptop According to The Hollywood Reporter , Kutcher holds investment stakes in each of those properties and used his time on the show to promote the sites for free. The network reportedly wanted compensation for the airtime, though they are now downplaying the report. “This was not part of any advertising transaction with CBS,” a network rep tells E! News . “Our policy is to disclose such financial interests in a credit at the end of the broadcast.” The news comes as Kutcher and his wife, Demi Moore , are rumored to be having marital problems . Fox News reported that Kutcher and Moore have been spending time apart and that on Wednesday, the same day the news of the split broke, security was called to the couple’s home. Kutcher allegedly had an affair with 23-year-old Sara Leal, who is reportedly trying to sell her story about the relationship. While the pair has not directly commented on the rumors of a split, they have danced around them on Twitter. Late Wednesday night, perhaps as a reaction to all the gossip surrounding his personal life, Kutcher tweeted a link to the Public Enemy track “Don’t Believe the Hype.” Meanwhile, Moore, still using the handle Mrs. Kutcher, had everyone speculating that she was ominously commenting on a split days ago in a flurry of tweets . One reads, “I see through you …,” and includes a photo of her laying in bed with her eyes closed. Days before that, Moore tweeted, “When we are offended at any man’s fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger. — Epictetus.”

Also starring Robert De Niro and Clive Owen, ‘This is a thinking man’s action movie,’ star tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jason Statham Photo: MTV News Jason Statham has got nothing against skull-cracking, explosions-for-explosions-sake action flicks. The guy made his name with “The Transporter,” after all, and he’s getting set for a second go-round opposite Sylvester Stallone in “The Expendables 2.” But “Killer Elite” (September 23), despite a title that suggests it’s another in a long line of empty-headed, Statham-starring adventures, is an altogether different creation. Based on a true story that spans the globe from France to Australia, the film stars Statham as an ex-special ops agent on a mission to save his mentor (Robert De Niro), who’s being held captive by a secretive military clan and its menacing leader (Clive Owen). There’s a grittiness simply not seen in much of Statham’s previous work. “This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time,” Statham told MTV News at the Toronto International Film Festival. “This is a thinking man’s action movie. It’s a bit more grown-up than things in the past I’ve done. In order to do movies like this, I have to go through and do a few of those as well. There’s a lot more going on.” That extends from the words on the page to the guy behind the camera to the dudes mixing it up with Statham when writer/director Gary McKendry yells, “Action!” “The quality of the script, the quality of the filmmaker — those are two elements that attract living legends like Bob De Niro and Clive Owen,” Statham said. “Once I start boxing around with those two, the whole quality of what we’re doing changes. It’s a big step up.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Killer Elite.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

‘I just want to make this album as incredible as I can,’ Drake tells MTV News of his upcoming LP. By Rob Markman Drake Photo: MTV News Last year Drake had to release his platinum debut while his mentor Lil Wayne was in the midst of an eight-month jail bid. This year, as he gears up to drop his sophomore LP, Take Care, the Toronto MC is looking to Wayne for some firsthand inspiration. “I think for me to be part of a team and have the general, the boss, go sit it down for like eight months is always a difficult thing,” Drake told MTV News at the album release party for Weezy’s Tha Carter IV in Los Angeles on Sunday night. “That’s like a real responsibility. I’m just proud of the fact that myself and Nicki [Minaj] and the entire family were able to keep things afloat until he got out and was able to release this album.” Now that C4 is finally in stores and looks to be successful — Billboard is projecting the album to sell as many as 900,000 copies in its first week — Drake is up next. Drizzy is currently putting the finishing touches on Take Care, and with his October 24 release date fast approaching, Young Angel doesn’t have much time. Watching Weezy’s work ethic gives him plenty of inspiration, even in the YMCMB crew’s most celebratory moments. “It’s like if I choose to go after this and go kick it with a woman or go out for drinks, I know I’m potentially slippin’ because I have brothers like [Rick] Ross and Wayne that are working nonstop,” Drake said of his possible post-party plans. “Me being a kid from Canada coming into this whole thing, being able to observe my heroes do this sh–, it’s like all I want to do is work. I just want to make this album as incredible as I can.” Ross is also getting ready to drop an album — his fifth to be exact. His upcoming God Forgives, I Don’t is due later this year, and he is proud of his friend Wayne, who closed out the 2011 MTV VMAs on Sunday and then dropped his album digitally at midnight to mark the occasion. “He dropped his album at the VMAs like a boss. That’s something an artist can only dream of, when you talk about timing, after doin’ time,” he said before turning his attention back to his work. “So I just think it’s time for us to keep focus, keep grinding. Of course, we’re gonna celebrate tonight, but tomorrow we’re back at it.” Though he’s released a few songs like “Headlines” and “Marvins Room,” it is still too early to try to make any qualitative judgment on Drake’s Take Care, but it sure seems like he’s putting that work in. “I really see the hardest-working people to ever do this. I see them, we speak, we have moments and talk and we’re in the same sessions,” Drizzy said of Wayne and Ross. “So I really sit back and digest it all and try to apply it to my own craft.” Related Artists Drake
