Royal Baby Thank You Notes: CUTE!

Anyone who sent a note or a gift congratulating Kate Middleton and Prince William in the past month got a thank you note – and a royally cute one at that! The 31-year-olds are sending notes of thanks to the well-wishers who reached out following the birth of the Royal Baby, Prince George, on July 22. The image on the front of the card is one of the first Royal Baby photos , in which the family stood on the steps of the Lindo Wing after his birth. Kate Middleton is wearing her instantly-infamous cornflower blue and white polka dot Jenny Packham dress, cradling Prince George in her arms. Reads a note on the back of the card: “Their Royal Highnesses have been overwhelmed by the wonderful messages and gifts they have received and send you their warmest thanks and best wishes.” A spokesperson said they “are slowly going through a backlog” of all the warm wishes sent by members of the public, and cards will continue to be sent out. The duo also sent cards to those who congratulated them on their pregnancy late last year, and that card featured Kate in another Jenny Packham frock. Symmetry. And gracious beauty. Hopefully, more Prince George photos will be released and used on more Royal Family stationary … holiday cards, perhaps? Fingers crossed!

Pippa Middleton: SO Excited to Be an Aunt!

Pippa Middleton is SO excited to be an aunt to the Royal Baby. In the wake of Prince George’s arrival into the world Monday, Kate Middleton ‘s younger sister has expressed her joy over the newest family member. Pippa, according to People , has already met the three-day-old, is “very excited about my sister’s baby” and “so happy to be an aunt, as I love kids.” She and boyfriend Nico Jackson reportedly met the bundle of joy at Kensington Palace after he and his parents left the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital. Pippa Middleton isn’t the first family member to meet the royal baby. Earlier that day, Kate and Pippa’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton stopped by. “They’re both doing well,” Carole said. “We’re so thrilled.” Now all we need is for Pippa and Prince Harry to get together and make some royal babies of their own to expand this magnificent gene pool. Just kidding. Kind of. Not really. No offense, Nico.

This little dude is FRESH out the womb and they alreadyhave him posing for the paps First Pictures Of The Royal Baby While high profile celebrities in America work over time to shield their newborn babies from the public eye, things seem to work a little differently with British and their Royal Family. Just one day after giving birth, Dutchess Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William stepped out of the hospital and posed for paparazzi pictures with their day-old future prince before heading to an undisclosed location. Either the British paps aren’t nearly as thirsty as ours are in America, or Prince Williams and Kate have some serious top flight security…. We’d guess it’s both. Royal Baby Watch: Kate Middleton Reportedly "2-3 Days Late"

As Royal Baby Watch 2013 drags on into yet another week, palace insiders say that Kate Middleton’s due date may have passed 2-3 days ago. Kensington Palace has been “operating under the assumption that the Duchess of Cambridge is two to three days late at this point,” reports say. The revelation comes amid conflicting reports surrounding Kate’s due date, and whether she is indeed late (perhaps by a week or even longer). Initial reports claimed that the royal baby was expected to arrive on July 11 or 13, a time frame that – as we know – came and went with no fanfare. But the U.K.’s The Telegraph says Kate Middleton was really due Friday, July 19, and that they were asked to be on standby as early as a month before. And being on standby means staying in top shape. A source purportedly revealed to The Telegraph: “A small number of staff at St. Mary’s who might be called upon when the duchess gives birth were told they had to remain teetotal for a month before.” “They were told the due date was July 19, meaning they couldn’t drink from June 19 on.” “Only a handful of people were told about it, because there are very few hospital staff who might be needed in the case of an emergency.” This is, of course, assuming that Kate even gives birth to the baby at that location. She is expected to welcome the future monarch at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, but a contingency plan is supposedly in place. Kate has been hunkering down with her parents in Bucklebury, 53 miles away from St. Mary’s Hospital (though she reportedly returned to London ). Should she go into labor at her parents’ house, she is likely to give birth in Reading, a mere half hour away from London (and its prying eyes). Meanwhile, Kate’s mom Carole was reportedly overheard saying that the baby will be a Leo, meaning it isn’t even due until July 22 at the earliest. Bottom line … we really have no idea, but that little guy or girl has to come out sooner or later, right? Even Queen Elizabeth is getting impatient .

Happy 31st Birthday, Prince William!

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge, RAF rescue pilot and husband of Kate Middleton celebrates his birthday on the 2013 Summer Solstice . Happy birthday to father-to-be Prince William! It’s good to be the future king any day, no doubt. Being married to Kate Middleton alone would make that the case. But soon he’ll have an heir(ess)! The couple has not found out the gender of their impending arrival – due next month – but he or she will assume a place in history from day one. No pressure, kid. As for his any big plans today? William is reportedly laying low lately, with any birthday commemorations likely to involve only family and close friends. For good reason. In honor of his 31st birthday, an occasion fit for a king, or at least a duke, click to enlarge some of our favorite Prince William and Kate Middleton pictures!

Kate Middleton Baby: Gender Still Secret, Even For the Couple!

With so much attention focused on the birth of Lil’ Kimye, and the rumored Kim Kardashian baby name floating around, we almost forgot about the royal baby. Okay, no we didn’t. The UK and much of the world are eagerly anticipating his or her arrival in July, but don’t expect many details before that. Royal officials can’t say if it’s a boy or girl, for instance, and not ’cause they’re being coy. Kate Middleton and Prince William chose not to find out! “They don’t know the sex of the baby and have decided not to find out,” said a royal official who spoke on condition of anonymity under Palace guidelines. That’s one way to keep the gender under wraps … Officials said William “fully intends to be present at the birth,” which is expected to take place at the private Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s hospital in London. William and his younger brother, Prince Harry, were both born there. The public will be told once Kate Middleton has settled in her room in the early stages of labor, likely within an hour of the duo’s arrival at the hospital. Officials said a royal aide will emerge from the hospital with a signed bulletin on foolscap-sized paper carrying the Buckingham Palace letterhead. The bulletin will be given to an official who will be driven to the Palace, where it will be posted on an easel in public view in front of the building. At the same time the bulletin is posted , there will be an announcement on Twitter that will give the royal baby’s gender, weight and time of birth. Officials said they don’t know how quickly a name will be chosen. When Prince William was born, a week passed before his name was announced. Royals and members of Kate Middleton’s family are likely to visit, but Queen Elizabeth II will be on summer vacation at the Balmoral estate in Scotland. William plans to take two weeks paternity leave after the birth and then return to his military duties as a search and rescue helicopter pilot in Wales. Good stuff! Here’s wishing them the best in these next few weeks … and place your final royal baby bets , if that’s the sort of thing you’re into. VOTE: What do you think Kate and William are having?   Boy!
