For all you Rihanna stans out there who simply can’t get enough of Rih Rih, a video was recently posted that gives a behind the scenes look at rehearsals of her “Loud” Tour that kicked off last weekend. The tour’s choreographer, Stephanie Roos, expressed that the show is divided into various parts. Among those parts are: Hard, Sex Shop, Love/Hate and Fun to name a few. Rihanna is seen in the video practicing her dance moves, picking out merchandise for the tour and just having a great time with her back up dancers. This video definitely got me excited to check out her tour this summer! Check out some behind the scenes footage of Rihanna practicing for her concert tour below! Looks like someone’s got Mo and Kita of “The T.O. Show” panties in a bunch, and that person is “Basketball Wives” very own boricua Evelyn Lozada. The two P.R. queens behind Terrell Owens success caught up with Hip Hollywood on the red carpet and voiced their (mostly Mo’s) distaste with Evelyn in a very straight forward manner. Mo referred to Evelyn as “a walking yeast infection” as well as criticized her motherhood for sleeping with Chad Ochocinco so soon. Mo also came for Chad adding: “I know Chad. I’ve associated with Chad. I’ve worked with Chad, but at the same time he’s sending the wrong message to women, to guys, thinking it’s ‘okay’ to wife somebody that you’ve portrayed the image of sleeping with all in the same night.” Mo also added, “Tami should’ve beat Evelyn’s A*s,” for having ANY sort of relationship with her ex-husband, whether they were married, separated or divorced. While I agree to the fullest, I also feel that Mo’s tone sounds a tad bit personal, which leads me to believe either Mo don’t play NO games when it comes to her judgement of character or Evelyn has stepped on her toes in some kind of way. For that very reason this story reminds me of Dave Chappelle’s skit on “The Chappelle Show” “When keeping it real goes wrong” because although what Mo says may be true, Evelyn don’t play that! Peep the video below to hear what Mo had to say: I can just see Evelyn looking for a drink to throw right now! “The T.O. Show” Returns For Season 3 Sneak Preview: “The T.O. Closing the second night of the I Am Still Music stop at Nassau Coliseum, Weezy gives a shout out to his Rikers COs. By Rahman Dukes Lil Wayne performs in Long Island on Monday Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage UNIONDALE, New York — It’s been roughly two weeks since Lil Wayne returned to the big stage with his I Am Still Music Tour . He’s been tearing up venues across the country in the days that followed, but there was something sentimental about his two nights of sold-out shows at Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum. After all, just a few months ago, a little more than 20 miles away, Wayne was doing hard time at Rikers Island , serving a one-year prison sentence on weapons charges stemming from the 2007 arrest that followed his show at New York’s Beacon Theatre. On Monday night, Wayne exchanged the 8-foot cell he was housed in at the Eric M. Taylor Center for a hockey arena and thanked fans for their support during his down time. “A few months ago, I was stuck in this island,” Wayne told to the audience. “This place called Rikers Island. It was people like Drake and people like y’all who made me feel like I was in a paradise of love. Shout out to the COs I’m cool with, but tell the warden to kiss my ass.” But in reality, Weezy showed no signs of bitterness towards the state he unwillingly called home for the majority of 2010. The larger-than-life MC appeared on stage sporting a blue and orange New York Knicks cap, his signature polo shirt and black leather pants. Wayne closed out his New York run backed by a live band, unearthing a catalog of smash hits including “Mrs. Officer,” “Go DJ” and “Got Money” as well as mixtape cuts such as “I’m Single” and “Bill Gates.” With appearances by Lil Twist, Mack Maine, Shanell and Nicki Minaj, Weezy continued to make the point that his Young Money movement was reminiscent of previous rap powerhouse cliques who made their marks in the hip-hop game. “Remember how Diddy had his artists? And Jay had Roc-a-fella, and Baby had all his artists?” Wayne asked. “Well, I have all my artists.” Halfway through his set, Wayne introduced Minaj, and the Queens MC ripped through her own records for her hometown crowd. Nicki ignited the audience with hits “Roman’s Revenge” to “Did It on ‘Em” to the celebratory “Right Through Me” anthem, for which she donned a wedding dress. And as she assisted Wayne on “Roger That” he appeared to be stunned by Nicki’s tight, ripped-up jeans. “Make some noise for the best rapper aliiive,” Nicki yelled at the crowd, referring to Wayne as she exited the stage. “Make some noise for them pants!” Wayne shot back. Preceeding Wayne’s set, Rick Ross also ignited the coliseum with his array of hits and a surprise guest appearance by close friend DJ Khaled, who joined him for “We Takin’ Over.” Khaled also showed his New York support wearing a New York Yankees clubhouse jacket. The show had emotional moments in between songs too. Wayne took time to send prayers for earthquake victims in Japan and acknowledged members of the military in the audience who came out to support the MC in their uniforms. “We got a couple soldiers in here; make some noise for these men,” Wayne said, removing his tinted shades as the house lights spotlighted the warriors. On the night of his arrest years ago, Weezy vowed to never return to the Big Apple. But judging by the diamond-studded grin he flashed throughout the night as the crowd chanted “Weezy’s Home,” it’s a safe assumption that the MC was happy to be back in New York. “New York always showed us love,” said Birdman, sitting in his tour bus following the show. “It was just unfortunate he had to come out here and do time. But the people always showed us mad love. New York is probably one of our biggest markets. They always supported us, and we always showed them love.” Related Photos Lil Wayne Brings ‘I Am Still Music’ Tour To New York Related Artists Lil Wayne
In his weekly address, President Obama talks about the military mission in Libya and the progress that has been made—and he praises the bravery of our men and women in uniform. Every American can be proud of the lives we’ve saved in Libya and of the service of our men and women in uniform who once again have stood up for our interests and our ideals. And people in Libya and around the world are seeing… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Kicking Ass Discovery Date : 26/03/2011 13:23 Number of articles : 3
After declaring President Obama’s decision to order airstrikes on Libya a potential “impeachable offense,” Ohio Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich is calling for an immediate halt to all funds for any further military action in the conflict. “Now the immediate thing that Congress needs to do when it returns is to cut off any funds for continuing in Libya and I intend to bring forward such an amendment,” Kucinich said in an interview with CNN, noting any legislative action would have to wait until after the current Congressional recess. White House officials insist the President’s actions are well within the law, pointing to a letter sent by Mr. Obama to House Speaker John Boehner Monday. The letter emphasizes the airstrikes are part of an international mission to enforce a “no-fly zone” authorized by a United Nations Security Council Resolution. The letter, the administration argues, satisfies the War Powers Act which requires the President to inform Congress within 48 hours of engaging in any military action. “Our view is a mission of this kind which is time limited, well defined and discreet clearly falls within the president’s constitutional authority,” said Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes at a press briefing Monday. Other Democrats came out to defend the President against the hatin’ a** congressman: One key Democrat in the Senate dismissed any notion of impeachment in a radio interview on Tuesday. Michigan Democratic Senator Carl Levin told the Bill Press Radio Show there is strong bipartisan support for the U.S. mission in Libya, dubbed Operation Odyssey Dawn. “I think we ought to focus on what the issues are here,” Levin said. If it ain’t one thing it’s muthaf*ckin’ other, damn! Several other Presidents have taken military action in the same manner and they weren’t met with this “impeachment” bullsh*t. We take a look at the most fascinating scenes featured in the new promo clip for the upcoming J.J. Abrams-directed adventure film. By Eric Ditzian Photo: Paramount Pictures “What the hell?” says a boy at the very end of the first full-length trailer for “Super 8,” neatly summarizing our own thoughts about the footage from the mysterious action-adventure film: Um, what exactly did we just see? Well, what we saw, first off, was an incredibly effective promo clip courtesy of director J.J. Abrams and executive producer Steven Spielberg. It managed to maintain the spirit of a teaser trailer — withholding far more information than is ever unleashed — while expanding our understanding of, and getting us seriously more excited about, what we’ll see in the flick when it hits theaters on June 10. Here are our picks for the new trailer’s five key moments: What Kind of Military Trucks Are Those? In we’d already seen the fiery train crash that unleashes some sort of very angry, possible very alien creature. So what we’re focused on here is what’s new, like those military trucks rolling through town with red cargo bins. What kind of military vehicles haul cargo like that? We see them pull right up to the train’s wreckage, so we’re guessing whatever is in them is important. As an Air Force leader, played by Noah Emmerich, says to Kyle Chandler’s local policeman, “I understand you have concerns about our cargo,” before telling him there’s nothing to worry about. Right … 9/11 … for Dogs? Though the film is set in 1979, there’s no mistaking the allusion to September 11, 2001, in this shot of missing-dog posters. Apparently, all the dogs hightailed it out of town after the train crash. Why is it that animals always seem to grasp potential sci-fi terror before humans? And what ever happened to man’s best friend, after all? That Looks Like It Hurts So dogs and people start to go missing. Things, no doubt, start to go from bad to worse. Just look at this bloody-faced guy who has a gun in his hand, a terrified look in his eyes, and one word of instruction: “Go!” This raises a question about “Super 8” that we’ve had for a while. Early reports seemed to suggest that this movie would be more of an alien-invasion film in the vein of “Cloverfield.” But most of the footage we’ve seen thus far gives an impression of something more akin to “E.T.” So which is it? Or is it both? In the new trailer, we definitely get a sense of a Spielberg-like focus on family-oriented fare, yet things clearly get very intense and very dangerous at some point. Boom! Boom! Throughout the trailer, we’ve seen how this alien presence can somehow manipulate electricity and exert a telekinetic power on objects. Here we see a prime example of that ability, as the local electronics store goes boom. At others points, power lines explode, a bus tips over, and, well, it’s all leading to… Look, Up in the Sky The most eye-popping scene in the entire trailer comes at nearly the very end. Main Street is trashed, the citizenry is freaked out and the military is nowhere to be seen as vehicles rise up into the air. The kids (portrayed by Joel Courtney and Elle Fanning) — both looking very much like characters from “E.T.,” he Elliot, she Gertie — take in the craziness. Like in “E.T.,” it seems that only the children fully understand the implications of what’s actually going on. For example: No one believes a man in the hospital, for instance, who claims to have seen the creature … except the boy. As he tells the man, “I believe you.” What are your favorite moments in the new “Super 8” teaser? Tell us in the comments.
