Daniel Radcliffe Doesn’t Want To Play Harry Potter Again

‘I’m going to be working very hard to establish myself as an actor outside of this series,’ ‘Deathly Hallows’ star tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Daniel Radcliffe Photo: MTV News In spite of the billions of dollars grossed by the “Harry Potter” film franchise and the book series it’s based on, the obsessive devotion of fans, the endless merchandise, blogs and so forth, the wizard series is coming to an end. For real. MTV News caught up with superstar Daniel Radcliffe as he promoted “Deathly Hallows – Part 1,” and we asked him about J.K. Rowling’s recent “Oprah” interview. The author denied to Oprah Winfrey that she had said she’d never write another “Potter” book. So we asked Radcliffe if he could foresee revisiting his Harry Potter character someday. “I think Jo is being very kind to a lot of people by giving them that little bit of hope and me that mild heart attack,” Radcliffe joked. “But I’ve been doing this for 10 years. A team of surgeons would be needed to reapply my jaw to my face if she did this. I would be incredibly surprised but, you know, the other thing is, people have been saying, ‘If she did [write more books], would you be in [the films]?’ And at this point in time, ‘No’ is the answer,” he admitted. “I’ve done it for 10 years and that’s a long time. But I’m also being careful to qualify that with, ‘Better men than me have changed their mind.’ ” Radcliffe went on to say that while he’s resisting the urge to say “never again” to another “Potter” film, he also hopes he’s able to move onward with his career. “I don’t want to say it would be a step backwards because these films have been so good to me, but over the next few years I’m going to be working very hard to establish myself as an actor outside of this series,” he said. “It would seem self-defeating if I went back to them.” Are you sad to see the “Harry Potter” franchise ending? Akon Weighs In On New Michael Jackson Tracks

Their collaboration, ‘Hold My Hand,’ was ‘preapproved,’ Akon tells MTV News about Michael track. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Kelly Marino Akon Photo: MTV News There has been much debate over the release of new music by Michael Jackson, set for release on his album Michael , due out December 14. Some fans and some of Jackson’s collaborators, such as will.i.am, have spoken out about the release of the tracks, many of which were finished after Jackson’s death. It’s an argument that Akon, who worked with Jackson on the song “Hold My Hand,” understands. “Michael Jackson’s new album and the new releases, of course, there’s been comments about whether or not [it] should actually be released or whether it would reflect his true authenticity, but naturally because of the fact he’s not here to see it through, it definitely wouldn’t reflect what he had in mind for it because there’s other minds working for him,” Akon told MTV News about the tracks. “But I think at the end of the day, we have two choices: We can put out the little that we do have to hold onto, or we can just never ever put it out again. … The material that he did have that was finished, he would have loved to put it out. “[The songs] were created by him, now whether or not they were finished by him is a different story,” he added. “And that’s just a collective effort of all of us. It’s a double-edged sword.” Akon points out that one of those finished tracks is “Hold My Hand,” making the argument that his contribution to the album is Jackson-approved. “If he was here today, I think he would definitely approve of ‘Hold My Hand,’ because it was already preapproved,” he said. “But the rest of the songs, I’m not quite sure how far those songs went ’cause Michael’s a perfectionist. He wouldn’t let anything go unfinished. Me knowing him from my standpoint of viewing him, I’m not quite sure, because he won’t stop; he will go and go until there’s not one doubt left in his mind that this record is perfect. “So, I hope he would [have approved of the album], then again, you never know. He’s the only one that can answer that question.” Do you think the tracks should be released? Sound off in the comments below. Watch Likely Oscar Nominees Get Stoned and Fight Monsters in Your Highness Trailer

I’m picturing director David Gordon Green as a teenager, watching 80’s B-movies while totally high and imagining how amazing it would be if the characters in said B-movies were also stoned out of their mind. At some point, as we all must, he grew out of this phase, and later directed critical darlings like George Washington and All the Real Girls . Then one night it hit him: “Those days on the couch in the 80’s were the best!” Moreover, “What if all of the characters in those movies were totally high?” And thus, we got Pineapple Express and now the NSFW red band trailer to Your Highness , which pits Natalie Portman, James Franco and Danny McBride against three-headed creatures, sorcerers and potent marijuana.

T.I., Eminem Team Up For ‘All She Wrote’

No Mercy, due December 7, also will feature Kanye West, Chris Brown, The-Dream and Christina Aguilera. By Paul Cantor T.I. and Eminem Photo: Jamie McCarthy/ John Shearer/ Getty Images T.I. and Eminem have teamed up once again, this time for “All She Wrote,” which leaked online Tuesday (November 16). The song is from T.I.’s upcoming album, No Mercy , due in stores December 7. T.I. recently began an 11-month stint in an Arkansas prison for parole violations. His problems with the law have left him with a fair share of critics, and “All She Wrote” takes a shot back at them. Witness the song’s hook: “I don’t really care what you call me, just as long as you don’t call me broke/ I bet they knew as soon as they saw me, good night it’s over with that’s all she wrote/ Streets like cold Chicago, ain’t nothing new, I seen it all before/ But still I ball like no tomorrow, good night it’s over with that’s all she wrote.” Of No Mercy , T.I. wrote on his website: “This album represents some of my best work inspired by my most recent best and worst life experiences … I’ve been taking stock of myself and digesting everyone’s comments and criticisms. Now it’s my turn to express myself and take you into my mind.” The production on “All She Wrote” is a mellow affair, guitar strums over steady staccato 808s. It allows both artists adequate space to let their voices take center stage. Speculatively, in the first verse, T.I. addresses former Grand Hustle member Alfamega, who the Smoking Gun revealed last year was a DEA informant. T.I. raps, “Others sworn under oath or vanished left completely scorned/ You tell lies, get cut n—a, kick rocks/ You never did blend in with the big shots.” Eminem’s verses, however, deal more with the opposite sex: “I rather slip and fall in sh– than fall in love with you/ Before I f—ing tie a knot, I’ll tie you in one/ Bitch you think this is a Nintendo game, how f—ing dumb is you/ I’ll give you some lumps before I split some lump sums with you.” No Mercy , T.I.’s seventh LP and first release since 2008’s double-platinum Paper Trail , also will feature appearances from Kanye West, Chris Brown, The-Dream and Christina Aguilera. Production will be handled by Dr. Luke (“Magic,” “Right Round”), Danja (“My Love,” “Knock You Down”) and Jim Jonsin (“Whatever You Like,” “Lollipop”), among others. T.I. and Eminem last officially collaborated on T.I.’s 2007 album T.I. vs. T.I.P. on the track “Touchdown.” Which of T.I.’s No Mercy collaborations are you most excited to hear? Wildest Larry O’Donnell Tirades: Romney’s Religion Is Demented! So Is Criticizing Islam

Monday night marks the debut of Lawrence O’Donnell’s very own show, called The Last Word, on MSNBC and if his guest spots on various programs on that network and the syndicated McLaughlin Group over the last few years are any indication, he’s bound to give Keith Olbermann a run for his money for over-the-top loony tirades. O’Donnell reared his bigoted side on the December 8, 2007 edition of the McLaughlin Group . He not only went after former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, but also his faith, seen in the following rants he made after the former Massachusetts governor and presidential candidate delivered a speech defending his “demented, Scientology-like” Mormon faith: Here’s the problem. He dare not discuss his religion. And he fools people like Pat Buchanan who should know better. This was the worst speech, the worst political speech of my lifetime. Because this man stood there and said to you “this is the faith of my fathers.” And you, and none of these commentators who liked this speech realized that the faith of his father is a racist faith. As of 1978 it was an officially racist faith, and for political convenience in 1978 it switched. And it said “Okay, black people can be in this church.” He [Romney] believes, if he believes the faith of his fathers, that black people are black because in heaven they turned away from God, in this demented, Scientology-like notion of what was going on in heaven before the creation of the Earth….I’m saying he’s got to answer, when he was 30 years old and he firmly believed in the faith of his father that black people are inferior, when did he change his mind? Did the religion have to tell him to change his mind? And when he talks about the faith of his father, how about the faith of his great-grandfather, who had five wives?…And his religion is based on the work of a lying, fraudulent, criminal named Joseph Smith who was a racist, who was a, who was  pro-slavery, his religion was completely pro-slavery…He was given an opportunity to distance himself from the evils of his religion, and he didn’t…. Joseph Smith was a slavery champion, the inventor of this ridiculous religion…His religion is full of crazy beliefs. Everyone on this panel thinks his religion is full of crazy beliefs. Everyone of us does. You won’t admit it. Do you think the Garden of Eden was in Missouri?…Look Romney comes from a religion founded by a criminal who was anti-American, pro-slavery and a rapist! And his, and he comes from that lineage and says, “I respect this religion fully.” This is not exactly how O’Donnell talks of Islam — and O’Donnell admitted a few days later that he’s too scared for his physical safety to say anything like that about the birth and theology of Islam. O’DONNELL: Oh, well, I’m afraid of what the…that’s where I’m really afraid. I would like to criticize Islam much more than I do publicly, but I’m afraid for my life if I do. HEWITT: Well, that’s candid. O’DONNELL: Mormons are the nicest people in the world. They’re not going to ever… HEWITT: So you can be bigoted towards Mormons, because they’ll just send you a strudel. O’DONNELL: They’ll never take a shot at me. Those other people, I’m not going to say a word about them. HEWITT: They’ll send you a strudel. The Mormons will bake you a cake and be nice to you. O’DONNELL: I agree. HEWITT: Lawrence O’Donnell, I appreciate your candor.

Terrry Richardson’s Got Boring with this Natasha Poly Shoot of the Day

I have felt the pressure of going mainstream to make real money. I’ve just stupidly been a hippie about shit and said that I’m much happier not making money and posting pictures of nipples…pretty much turning everyone off this site from advertisers, link partners, etc. I know you don’t care about that, but I’ve got a point…Terry Richardson has the opposite problem, because he used seedy, sleazy, erotic shit and his dad’s connections to get known in the fashion world, and once the fashion world bit and decided to pay him stupid money, his pics when standard, uninpsired, point and shoot without the smuttiness, so whenever I see his corporate shit, I think he’s a fucking sell out who sucks…and I guess he’s thinking “look how much money I made off these idiots, I can buy a helicopter and a private jet”….reminding me that I fucking suck at pretty much everything I set my mind to, which in turn keeps me going…. Here are some Natasha Poly bitch posing stupidly for some magazine…..and if you look closely at it, like it was a magic eye poster, you may even see nipple…

Joaquin Phoenix Documentary Isn’t Real, Casey Affleck Admits

‘It’s the performance of his career,’ director says of ‘I’m Still Here.’ By Mawuse Ziegbe Joaquin Phoenix in “I’m Still Here” Photo: Magnolia Pictures After two years of freaking out fans with his bizarre antics, Joaquin Phoenix’s disturbing behavior has been unveiled as nothing more than an intense commitment to his latest role. Phoenix, who grew a ratty beard, embarked on a hip-hop career and fumbled his way through awkward interviews, such as his infamous 2009 sit-down with David Letterman, has apparently just been getting crazy for his recently released movie “I’m Still Here.” “It’s a terrific performance, it’s the performance of his career,” director Casey Affleck told The New York Times on Thursday (September 16). After much speculation (and mostly negative reviews) , Affleck owned up to the ruse of the flick and revealed that most the film was fake. The filmmaker described how footage of Phoenix and his siblings frolicking in Panama were actually actors swimming in Hawaii, with the film later doctored to look aged. Affleck also revealed that disturbing moments in the movie in which Phoenix appears to live it up with prostitutes and drugs were created with the help of actors. Affleck revealed that the actor’s agent was even in on the stunt and agreed to cooperate after the director detailed his plan to show the world Phoenix “has lost his mind,” noting, “You would think he would have me killed immediately.” Many moviegoers will perhaps question why Affleck and Phoenix went to the trouble of staging what appeared to be a meltdown of an Oscar-winning A-lister instead of just openly shooting a mockumentary and calling it a day. Affleck explained that the duo wanted viewers to believe they were indeed witnessing the fall of a great star. “We wanted to create a space,” he said. “You believe what’s happening is real.” What do you think about Joaquin Phoenix and Casey Affleck’s fake documentary “I’m Still Here”?
