Samuel L. Jackson Goes For Prose In New Pro-Obama Video, Wake The F*** Up

Full disclosure right off the bat here, some die-hard Romney fans and those with hyper-sensitivity to the F-Bomb and haters of politics generally may not want to proceed, so if you do, go at your own peril. A tidy little vid starring Barack supporter-extraordinaire Samuel L. Jackson has hit the internet, and though a tad longer than the typical 30 second political spot flooding the airwaves in this election season, it is quite a bit more clever and funnier – though it helps if you’re a supporter of the incumbent, naturally. And while it is unabashedly supportive of Obama, the prez does not come in and say he “supports this message” like in most other political ads. In this version, Jackson invades a home of a quiet suburban family of lackadaisical Obama ’08 supporters to tell them to, “Wake the F**** Up.” The three-minute, forty-second video is sponsored by the Jewish Council for Education and Research and is a riff on a reading the Oscar-nominated actor did last year of a satirical “children’s book” called Go the F*** to Sleep , a charming little diddy that went viral. The book’s author, Adam Mansbach also wrote the script for the pro-Obama version of the story, which opens with a young girl who lies awake in her bed fretting that her complacent family will sleep the election away, when just four years ago they were taking to the streets. The video premiered on Yahoo! Little Suzie gets out of bed, but not far from sight is her political ally in-waiting with political rhymes and a final “Wake the F*** Up” as she traipses through her house encountering her listless family members. First off, she goes to her parents who are falling asleep watching TV in the living room. And like an angel, Jackson appears with a riddle urging little Suzie’s parents to get involved. Next she heads into her older brother’s room, who is sitting with his feet up on his desk. Suzie blasts her brother saying that the election is about their future and recalls how he was on the front lines in ’08. Her brother replies that all politicians are “the same” and like magic again, Jackson appears giving a friendly warning that goes something like this: “They’re all the same? Please! Obama’s sent SEALS to Bin Laden’s place, Romney sent jobs overseas. And how about that student loan overhaul? It’s going to save you thousands of bucks. Mitt will cut that sh** in a second. Hey dude, Wake the F*** Up!” Next she heads to her older sister’s room with more prose about planned parenthood etc., Jackson appears, gives his two cents with another riddle and another, “Wake the F*** Up!” And finally, it’s off to grandma and grandpa’s room who are, incidentally, proving that older folks do have good times, until they’re interrupted by you know who… Medicare is the big theme here, naturally, and one more “Wake the F*** Up!” [Source: Yahoo! Tagg Romney Abortion Controversy: Clause Added to Surrogacy Agreement

Mitt Romney’s son Tagg signed a surrogacy agreement that gave the surrogate, Tagg and his wife the right to abort her recent pregnancy, according to TMZ. Tagg, the oldest of Mitt’s five sons, had twins this year through a surrogate, and Mitt Romney covered some of the expenses connected with the arrangement. The twin boys, David Mitt and William Ryder, were born on May 4, 2012. Tagg and his wife Jen, along with the surrogate and her husband, signed a Gestational Carrier Agreement dated July 28, 2011. Paragraph 13 of it reads: “If in the opinion of the [physician or obstetrician] there is potential physical harm to the surrogate, the decision to abort or not abort is to be made by the surrogate.” “In the event the child is determined to be physiologically, genetically or chromosomally abnormal, the decision is to be made by the intended parents.” “In such a case the surrogate agrees to abort, or not to abort, in accordance with the intended parents’ decision.” “Any decision to abort because of potential harm to the child, or to reduce the number of fetuses, is to be made by the intended parents.” In other words, Tagg and Jen Romney gave the surrogate the right to abort the fetuses even if her life wasn’t in danger. Only “potential physical harm” was needed. The Romneys had the right to abort the fetuses if they felt they would not be healthy. Mitt Romney was involved in the surrogate arrangement because he paid some of the expenses, but it is unclear if he read the contract or knew the terms. The Republican presidential candidate has said he is in favor of abortion being legal in the case of rape and incest and the health and life of the mother. Otherwise, Romney says he’s against abortion, a position he didn’t always hold. Interestingly, Tagg used the same surrogate in 2009, and there was no Paragraph 13 providing for abortion at that time because Tagg and his wife didn’t want it. In 2011, when the second contract was being drafted, it was in there.

President Obama Visits Late Show, Weighs in on Mitt Romney "47 Percent" Controversy

President Barack Obama stopped by the Late Show With David Letterman last night, and had barely sat down before being asked about the Mitt Romney video. The secretly-recorded-calling-Obama-backers-entitled-irresponsible-drains-on-society video, which Romney stands by , while acknowledging poor word choice. Letterman asked Obama for his take on Mitt describing ” 47 percent of Americans ” in this manner, to which he said, “One of the things I learned as president is you represent the entire country … if you want to be president, you have to work for everyone.”

Mitt Romney on Obama Voters: Entitled Losers!

A secretly recorded video has emerged in which Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney can be heard apparently disparaging voters – specifically those who support President Barack Obama – at a private dinner with donors. The GOP nominee can be heard (and seen, albeit far away) positing that “47 percent” of Americans do not pay any income taxes, consider themselves victims, feel entitled to handouts and would never even think about voting for him anyway. “I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives,” Romney says of Obama’s “huge advantage.” Take a look below:

SMH… Conservative Pundit Says Obama Will Get His Votes From People On Welfare And Voter Fraud In “Urban” Areas

Sounds racist if you ask us. Is he sayin’ a black man can’t win an election without using “hood” tactics? This guy can’t be serious trying to make it seem like Obama is only getting love from folks on welfare ? We call bullisht. Conservative pundit Gary Bauer, the former president of the Family Research Council, which puts on the Values Voter Summit each year, told the crowd at the 2012 conference Friday that it needs to turn out in great numbers to defeat President Obama’s army of welfare recipients and fraudulent votes. After his speech, Bauer told TPM “voter fraud is rampant in urban areas” and he expected that to help Obama. Bauer also told TPM that “there are a lot of people who will vote this November because they depend on government largesse,” meaning checks from Washington. He expects those voters to go Obama as well. “They will vote for their own perceived interests, which is they don’t want anybody cutting back the size of the checks,” Bauer said. On stage at VVS, he made a similar case, but said hard-working Americans will turnout in stronger numbers. “There’s a lot of people out now around America who depend on checks from their fellow taxpayers being in the mailbox every day,” Bauer said. “They will turn out in massive numbers, but so will the entrepreneurs, the small businessmen and women, the military families, the soldiers in harms way, the millions of Americans that want to hope again.” That last set of voters, Bauer said, will turn things for Romney. As for voter fraud, Bauer claimed Republicans will have to contend with lots of fake votes from the big cities. But he said those Obama votes won’t be enough either. “My prediction is after all the votes are counted — even the dead votes of Democrats in Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland — I predict that we will win, that this nightmare will be over and America will finally be on the road to recovery,” Bauer said. Bauer was focused on the types of votes he said Democrats rely on, but his talk about people who rely on “government largesse” is not far from the mainstream Republican view of the election. Mitt Romney has said several times that Obama is creating a “culture of dependency” in which more and more people become reliant on government checks. Hopefully HARD Working people know better than to vote for Robney, cuz all he’s gonna do is cut taxes on the rich to the point that they’ll wish they were getting welfare checks! Source

Money Mitt’s Bailout Looks A Lil Shady To Us

If you didn’t believe it before..we’ve got proof now. Mitt …you’ve got some explaining to do. To uncover the true story behind the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s $10 million bailout of Mitt Romney and Bain & Company, Rolling Stone made a Freedom of Information Act request that forced the FDIC to release more than 500 of pages of records. (The government, which was owed more than $30 million in all, had become a creditor to Bain when it took over the failed Bank of New England in early 1991.) Prior to releasing the documents, the FDIC allowed Bain & Company to scour and redact the records. Dozens of pages were blacked out entirely, on Bain’s claim that these nearly two-decade-old records contain secret “commercial or financial information.” Most pages looked something like the image at left. After Romney took over and a ‘recovery’ was put in action…it began to fail. Bain’s revenues continued to decline, and the company was soon bleeding red ink. By March 1992 — barely nine months after the initial restructuring — Romney was hitting up the government and Bain’s other creditors for a bailout, asking that the firm be allowed to repay its debts at just 35 cents on the dollar. The documents reveal that Romney had perverse leverage: The terms of the 1991 deal gave Bain the authority to reward its executives with massive bonuses, regardless of performance. If creditors refused to allow the firm to pay down its debt at a fraction of the legal value, in other words, Romney could begin to loot the firm’s cash reserves by doling out unmerited bonus pay. Mitt…it’s time for you to come forward, release your taxes, and show us all…for once, that you’re as shady as they come. Source Images via WENN

Alicia Guastaferro, Former Wife Swap Star, Arrested for Prostitution

Alicia Guastaferro appeared on the ABC reality show Wife Swap in 2008. When she was 16 years old. That may have been the first sign of trouble. But the latest is a lot more serious: Guastaferro was arrested on Monday in Pembroke, New York on charges of prostitution. The 20-year old was caught some time after midnight in a car with a 54-year lawyer old named James Doyle. She told troopers on the scene that that she’s known Doyle for two years and he typically pays her between $500 and $700 for sex. Guastaferro – whose parents were the ones to swap places with another couple on the aforementioned program – actually sued ABC producers two years ago, claiming the show made her look like a “spoiled brat.” That case is pending, but if Guastaferro’s goal was to prove she has to actually work for her money, consider her mission accomplished.

David Chalian Fired By Yahoo News After Shocking Remark About Mitt and Ann Romney

Yahoo News’ Washington bureau chief David Chalian has been fired after a shocking remark he made about Mitt Romney and his wife Ann was caught on camera. Chalian was overheard saying that the Romneys were “not concerned at all” about Hurricane Issac and are “happy to have a party with black people drowning.” Chalian seemed to be referring to the Republican National Convention taking place in Tampa just as the Category 1 storm barreled across the Gulf of Mexico. Yesterday, Yahoo announced it was firing Chalian, “effective immediately.”

Hi Hater: Paul Lyan’s RNC Speech Is Filled With Lies And Loopholes

Guess the fact checkers were busy last night. Paul ‘Who Needs Medicare’ Ryan was spittin’ lies left and right during his speech on Wednesday night. He did uphold one promise tonight though…Ryan said before tonight’s show that “they wouldn’t let fact checkers get in the way.” The Wisconsin congressman and GOP vice presidential candidate repeatedly chided President Barack Obama for blaming the jobs and housing crises on his predecessor, saying that his habit of “forever shifting blame to the last administration, is getting old. The man assumed office almost four years ago -– isn’t it about time he assumed responsibility?” Ryan then noted that Obama, while campaigning for president, promised that a GM plant in Wisconsin would not shut down. “That plant didn’t last another year. It is locked up and empty to this day. And that’s how it is in so many towns today, where the recovery that was promised is nowhere in sight,” Ryan said. Except Obama didn’t promise that. And the plant closed in December 2008 — while George W. Bush was president. It was just one of several striking and demonstrably misleading elements of Ryan’s much-anticipated acceptance speech. And it comes just days after Romney pollster Neil Newhouse warned, defending the campaign’s demonstrably false ads claiming Obama removed work requirements from welfare, “We’re not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact-checkers.” Ryan, for his part, slammed the president for not supporting a deficit commission report without mentioning that he himself had voted against it, helping to kill it. He also made a cornerstone of his argument the claim that Obama “funneled” $716 billion out of Medicare to pay for Obamacare. But he didn’t mention that his own budget plan relies on those very same savings. Sit your fake azz down Paul. Come November you’ll see how far all of this lying gets you.
