Ain’t saying he a gold-digger but… Gregg Leakes Supposedly Using NeNe For Her Money Recent reports claim Greg Leakes decided to re-marry Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes for one reason and it wasn’t love… Via Wendyista reports: After 13 years of marriage, Gregg Leakes and Real Housewives of Atlanta and The New Normal star Linnethia Leakes supposedly divorced. We say supposedly because we don’t recall ever seeing the divorce papers. The supposed break-up was messy. Gregg went on a radio show to spill the tea, claiming Linnethia owed him $300,000 and he wanted it back — along with spousal support. During the taping of the current season of RHoA, the two “rekindled” their relationship and on New Year’s Eve Gregg asked Linnethia to “remarry” him. She said yes. Anywho, Star is reporting that Gregg is not really into Linnethia’s is only after her money. Cause remember, she’s verrrrrrry rich, bi*ch*. “There’s no way he can cover his debts, so he’s after NeNe again, even though he secretly can’t stand her,” a source close the situation told the tabloid. The tabloid says the IRS filed a $45,000 tax lien against Gregg on Dec. 6. That was a drop in a bucket to what he owed the IRS — and a whole lot of people — in 2008. Star’s source adds that No one can ever accuse Gregg of being a gold digger. This guy put a cape on and saved NeNe when she just a poor single mother skripper from Bumfawk GA. Linnethia might be very rich now but Gregg cashed out on her way back for her to appear that way and went broke doing it! Get yo money Gregg! WENN
Rob Parker, the ESPN commentator who made slick remarks about RGIII and his “blackness,” has made his first comments since being suspended. He states that the idea behind his views are based on conversations within the black community. According to Washington CBS Local: Shortly before Robert Griffin III led the Washington Redskins to the team’s first home playoff game in 13 years, an ESPN commentator who questioned the quarterback’s standing as a black man made his first on-air comments since his suspension. Rob Parker, who was suspended last month for referring to the rookie quarterback as a “cornball brother” with possible Republican leanings, offered his first on-air interview since the incident on ESPN. In an interview with WDIV-TV in Detroit, Parker, a contributor for ESPN’s “First Take,” clarified that the controversial segment came from normal, everyday conversations that happen in the black community and was not intended to be directed at Griffin. “It was just a conversation that’s had in the black community when athletes or famous entertainers or whatever push away from their people,” Parker said. “That’s what it’s about.” Parker added: “The whole thing is, and I want to make this clear, I wasn’t saying he wasn’t being black enough. When people say that, it’s just not true. I was saying these are conversations that take place once a guy pushes away. It was never aimed at him, [nor] was I calling him that.” Before the segment took place, Parker said the staff had gone over what he had planned on saying during a pre-production meeting. He said that the ESPN staff had an idea of where the conversation was going to go, but that it wasn’t meant to slam RGIII or be malicious. “It was never to condemn the young man,” Parker said. “RGIII is a great, young man with a bright future.” SMH. Nice save, buddy. On a sidenote, RGIII (and his doppelgänger Pusha T) need to retire those braids….STAT!!! Discuss…
For the love of money…SMFH Chicago Lottery Winner Poisoned To Death Just One Day After Collecting Winnings Via NBCNews A lottery winner was fatally poisoned with cyanide a day after he collected nearly $425,000 in lottery winnings, a Chicago medical examiner said Monday. Urooj Khan died July 20, a day after a check was issued from the state’s Comptroller’s Office. The check, the lump sum on a $1 million instant lottery ticket, was cashed on Aug. 15. After a limited exam during which Cook County Medical Examiner Stephen Cina found no trauma or unusual substances in the 46-year-old’s body, the medical examiner’s office declared that he died of natural causes. Khan was buried at Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago, the Chicago Tribune reported, and within a week a concerned relative asked the medical examiner’s office to take a closer look, Cina told the Tribune. The medical examiner’s office determined from comprehensive toxicology reports that Khan had ingested a deadly amount of cyanide and his death was reclassified as a homicide. That relative knew something wasn’t right, good call. Khan bought the ticket at a 7-Eleven near his home in West Rogers Park, a neighborhood on Chicago’s North Side. A native of India, he came to Chicago in the late 1980s and began working at a dry cleaners. He reportedly planned to grow his business with his lottery winnings. Aye, aye, aaaa-aye… Oregon, Colorado, Washington Vote On Mary Jane Legalization Next Month According to Huffington Post On a Monday teleconference call, former Drug Enforcement Agency administrators and directors of the Office of National Drug Control Policy voiced a strong reminder to the U.S. Department of Justice that even if voters in Colorado, Oregon and Washington pass ballot measures to legalize Mary Jane use for adults and tax its sale, the legalization of Mary Jane still violates federal law and the passage of these measures could trigger a “Constitutional showdown.” The goal of the call was clearly to put more pressure on Attorney General Eric Holder to make a public statement in opposition to these measures. With less than 30 days before Election Day, the DOJ has yet to announce its enforcement intentions regarding the ballot measures that, if passed, could end Mary Jane prohibition in each state. “Next month in Colorado, Oregon and Washington states, voters will vote on legalizing Mary Jane,” Peter Bensinger, the moderater of the call and former administrator of the DEA during President Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan administrations, began the call. “Federal law, the U.S. Constitution and Supreme Court decisions say that this cannot be done because federal law preempts state law.” Bensinger added: “And there is a bigger danger that touches every one of us — legalizing Mary Jane threatens public health and safety. In states that have legalized medical Mary Jane, drug driving arrests, accidents, and drug overdose deaths have skyrocketed. Drug treatment admissions are up and the number of teens using this gateway drug is up dramatically.” Really?? So everyone starts smoking the gan-jay and gets violent and reckless?? Sounds like the opposite of what we see most folks doing while lifted, but ok… Here’s how the sticky-icky would be taxed of these legalization measures are voted to life. In Colorado, if Mary Jane is legalized it would be taxed and regulated similar to alcohol and tobacco. It would give state and local governments the ability to control and tax the sale of small amounts of Mary Jane to adults age 21 and older. According to the Associated Press, analysts project that that tax revenue could generate somewhere between $5 million and $22 million a year in the state. An economist whose study was funded by a pro-pot group projects as much as a $60 million boost by 2017. In Washington, a 25 percent excise tax would be in place if the state passes Initiative 502, which state revenue experts say could generate as much as $1.9 billion over the next five years, The Seattle Times reported. If passed, the initiative would allow adults 21 and older to buy up limited amounts of Mary Jane or Mary Jane-infused food products and would create state-licensed growers and retailers. The Associated Press reports that if Washington’s I-502 passes: Public use or display of Mray Jane would be barred. No Mary Jane facilities could be located near schools, day cares, parks or libraries. Employers would still be able to fire workers who test positive for pot. It would remain illegal to privately grow Mary Jane for recreational use, though medical patients could still grow their own or designate someone to grow it for them. It would be illegal to drive with more than 5 nanograms of THC, the active ingredient of cannabis, per milliliter of blood, if the driver is over 21; for those under 21, there would be a zero tolerance policy. That’s a LOT of money that states could earn for allowing a lil’ dojia smoke. Considering how tight some state budgets are for schools, roads, and other public needs, an few extra million bucks could go a long way. Would you vote for legalization? Why? The Dark Knight Rises…and raises mula! Families Of Batman Theater Shooting Victims’ Will Split $5 Million According to TMZ reports : The families of the 12 people killed in the Aurora shooting massacre — along with several people who suffered permanent injuries in the attack — will split the majority of the $5 million in donations raised to assist the victims of the attack. A mediator tasked with dividing the funds has announced the above-mentioned people will split 70% of the funds — roughly $200k each. The mediator says the rest of the cash will go to people who suffered physical injuries — the more severe the injury, the more money they will receive. Aside from the 12 people killed, 58 people were wounded in the July 20 shooting in Aurora, CO. The mediator says … due to limited funds, none of the money will go toward people who did not require overnight hospitalization … and the cash will NOT be used to aid theater-goers who were physically unharmed, but claim they suffer from mental trauma. As for the shooter James Holmes, he’s still in custody facing murder charges. This money will certainly not make up for lost family members and friends, but at least it will help the folks that need it to help pay hospital bills and costs associated with the tragedy.
Grandma knows best ? Via TMZ reports : Whitney Houston’s mother Cissy is deathly afraid Bobbi Kristina will die like just the singer — in a haze of drugs and other bad influences — which is why she wants to withhold Bobbi’s multi-million-dollar inheritance, sources tell TMZ. Sources close to Cissy tell us, Cissy feels Bobbi is currently surrounded by numerous negative influences — including her boyfriend Nick Gordon and father Bobby Brown — who will drain Bobbi’s fortune given half the chance. We’re told Cissy also feels 19-year-old Bobbi is still extremely impressionable right now — and if left unchecked with millions of dollars, Bobbi could end up going off the rails … eventually dying just like Whitney. According to sources, Cissy wants to wait until Bobbi has matured significantly more before she gets her money … an estate estimated at $20 million … though it’s unclear how long she wants her to wait. As for allegations Cissy is trying to withhold Bobbi’s fortune to hoard the money for herself — Cissy is telling friends that’s total BS … that’s it’s about protecting her family. As we reported, Cissy and Whitney’s sister-in-law Pat Houston filed a request this week to modify Whitney’s will — in order to change the distribution schedule of the estate.
