Actor Rico Rodriguez, from ABC’s hit comedy “Modern Family,” attended the Justin Bieber “Never Say Never” movie premiere on February 8th. The premiere was held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California. Also in attendance was Rico’s sister, Raini, who stars in Disney’s upcoming movie “Prom” and the upcoming Disney Channel Original Series “ Austin & Ally .” We’re super excited because there is a new “Modern Family” on tonight! For Sunday’s awards show, producer explains science behind celebrity seating. By Kelly Marino SAG Awards producer Kathy Connell Photo: MTV News LOS ANGELES — The Screen Actors Guild Awards are coming up on Sunday, and preparations are already well under way at the Shrine Auditorium. The stage is coming together, the list of presenters is close to being finalized and, most importantly, the seating arrangements are being mapped out. “It depends on the size of the cast,” SAG Awards producer Kathy Connell explained when MTV News asked how the seating chart is determined. “It also depends on if they were here the year before. If the TV cast was down front, we are probably going to put them further back this year. We also try to be democratic between film and TV.” The ceremony will take place in an intimate dinner setting where both film and TV actors will be seated next to their peers. Throughout the show, the celebrities can nosh on food provided by Lucques Catering and sip on Dry Creek wine and Taittinger Champagne while they celebrate one another’s work. The Guild seats the film casts next to the TV casts in order to allow everyone to visit and mingle in between acts. For example, the first few tables located in the front of the venue have place cards for the cast of “True Grit” seated next to the cast of “Glee.” Moving more toward the center of the room reveals the actors of “The Kids Are All Right” seated next to the guys from “30 Rock.” And a quick look around the rest of the room shows the ensemble from “The Closer” seated next to “Modern Family,” who are across from the cast of “The Fighter” and “Hot in Cleveland.” “Actors are actors. They don’t care that they are on TV. In fact, you know, film actors are very, very fond of watching actors on TV and vice versa,” Connell said. The 17th annual SAG Awards will air live on TNT and TBS this Sunday at 8p.m. ET from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Sofia Vergara and the Glee cast are so over their faux-feud that they recently filmed a Funny or Die video in which the Colombian Family star, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Naya Rivera and Harry Shum Jr. rap and dance to a Gleek-ed out version of Snoop Dogg’s “Nuthin’ But a G-Thang” (rechristened “Nuthin’ But a Glee Thang). Fair warning: This will probably be the best thing you see all day.

However when MTV News caught up with a few of our favorite stars recently to find out what they resolve to do in 2011, their commitments were a bit more unique. “My New Year’s resolution is to stay true to myself,” “Bottoms Up” singer Trey Songz revealed. “Regardless of what anybody says, I’ll never let anybody else’s thoughts dictate that of my own.” “Probably just progress more as an actor,” said 12-year-old “Modern Family” scene-stealer Rico Rodriguez. Avril Lavigne had three broad goals in mind: “Be healthy, focus hard, make sure to see [my] family.” MTV’s own “Jersey Shore” standout Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino said his plans involve moving from the small screen to the big one. “[I might be] doing maybe a movie or something,” he teased. Chart-topping pink princess Nicki Minaj offered the most colorful response: “[I’ll be] touring around the world. It’s looking like the biggest, baddest, I don’t know … I should’ve had something better to say,” she began, and then invented a few words on the spot, for emphasis on just how big 2011 will be for the “Your Love” singer. “[I’m going to be the] biggest, baddest, boldest, booming-est, fearless-ocity-est, Pink Friday -est, girl,” she promised. And it seems that some of the region’s biggest celebs have mixed feelings about the snow. “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara simply tweeted, “Finally snowing in the house!! Wuuu hooo!” She then posted a photo of herself bundled up in the snow. “Jersey Shore” star Snooki seemed content with the weather. “Still up and enjoying this snow storm !! #snowpartyallnight.” She later added: “Ahhh the reindeer are getting burried Wahhh! Poor things,” followed by a photo of herself hanging out among the snow drifts. VH1 reality star and former MTV VJ La La Vazquez went to Twitter for a weather update: “Is it still snowing in NYC?” If La La needed an answer, all she had to do was look to the Twitter feeds of some of reality TV’s biggest stars, who were out in full force reacting to the intense snow that fell over much of the Tri-State Area. “I have to say I freakin HATE snow,” tweeted “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum Dina Manzo . “Does nothing but cause problems & put people I love in danger. It should only snow in the mountains.” Fellow New Jersey housewife Danielle Staub had a more positive reaction to the epic downfall, tweeting, “It’s snowing!!! Good morning. My kids are so excited about all the snow falling!! Yay!!!
