I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been in the mood for a hot cougar for quite some time now. I think it’s because my allergy medication makes me horny for some reason. Here’s Rose McGowan at some strange Barbie party, I’ve learned not to ask questions about these kinds of things, looking pretty damn sexy for a woman her age. Honestly, I think the tow of us should get together, polish off a box of wine and see where the night takes us. Does she know how to use Twitter ?
Clip for ‘Hunger Games’ soundtrack song also takes cues from book series’ life-and-death themes. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway Taylor Swift in her “Safe & Sound” video Photo: Big Machine Taylor Swift managed to capture the mood of her “Hunger Games” soundtrack tune “Safe & Sound” in the video, which premiered Monday (February 13) during ” MTV First: Taylor Swift .” Co-starring the Civil Wars , the video’s chilliness encapsulates the sadness of the song, the lead single from the “Games” soundtrack . The moody, emotional clip features Swift, walking barefoot through the woods, her hair and makeup noticeably undone, wearing a long, white gown. As she makes her way through the cloudy, damp forest, there’s destruction around her, as parts of the wooded area burn behind her (clearly an homage to the upcoming movie). In between scenes of her meandering through the woods, singing the T-Bone Burnett-produced track , are shots of the Civil Wars, hanging out in a dark cabin, lit only by the fireplace, as they accompany Swift. As the song crescendos, Swift reaches the cabin, which has been abandoned, and finds the now-famous Mockingjay pin. As the video closes, a glimpse of the sun shines down on Swift as she continues her pilgrimage. The video’s simple concept punctuates the quiet beauty of the sullen track, about the pains of life and love — certainly themes relevant to “The Hunger Games.” In fact, the video location is as dreary as the song’s mood: It was shot at a cemetery. “It’s one of my favorite moments in the video; there’s this wide shot, where I’m just kind of crumpled up sitting on a gravestone, and it’s actually the gravesite of a couple who lived and died in 1853,” she recalled. “I’m sitting here thinking, ‘What were their lives like?’ It’s really eerie, considering what the movie is about and how it deals with life and death. It just absolutely blew my mind.” During “MTV First: Taylor Swift,” Swift sat down with MTV News’ Sway Calloway and opened up about the video and what it means to have the lead single from the “Hunger Games” soundtrack, which drops March 20, days before the highly anticipated movie opens on March 23. The film adaptation stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. During the chat, Swift gushed about working with director Philip Andelman, despite the uncomfortable shooting conditions. “It was so cold. It was freezing. I was shaking the whole time and trying not to be shaking when the cameras were rolling. It was about 40 degrees in Nashville. It had just rained,” she said of the shoot, which also included a lot of barefoot walking in the mud. “I’m wearing this 1920s vintage nightgown that didn’t provide much warmth. I didn’t get sick. I thought I was going to get sick. That was the upside.” What did you think of Taylor’s ” Safe & Sound ” video? Let us know in the comments below! Jeremy Renner’s rogue agent is introduced in badass ‘Bourne’ fashion. By Kevin P. Sullivan Jeremy Renner in the “Bourne Legacy” trailer Photo: Universal Pictures Jeremy Renner makes his big debut as the latest agent gone rogue in “The Bourne Legacy.” Picking up where Matt Damon left off, Renner plays Aaron Cross, an apparent improvement over Jason Bourne. You’ll have to head over to Apple to check out the brand-new trailer, but we have the five key scenes you need to play attention to: Background The trailer immediately sets the mood with a little help from the opening credits of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho.” The bars sliding across the screen directly borrow from the horror classic and make things creepy quickly. Jeremy Renner’s character gives the name “Kenneth,” despite being listed in the credits as Aaron Cross. At the beginning of the trailer, Kenneth/Aaron does not look well. His left eye sags, and the right side of his face is speckled with blood. Immediately, we’re questioning who he is and what he’s been through, a good thing when introducing a new character to the series. ‘Well, That Has Healed Well’ If Aaron is “Treadstone without the inconsistencies,” that may imply he is, in fact, stronger than Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne. The physician looking at Aaron’s hand in the trailer remarks that it had healed well, as if it’s something remarkable. Does the removal of those Treadstone inconsistencies include a rapid healing ability? Introducing Edward Norton Norton joins the cast as the newest villain in the series, and he makes for a welcome addition. In the trailer, we’re introduced to his character, Byer, who tests Aaron to see if he’s completely committed to the program, known as “Outcome.” Norton leaves little doubt that he’s going to make for a worthy opponent in a series known for its intelligent bad guys. Reintroducing Albert Finney The introduction of a new main character does not preclude the appearance of some familiar faces. Both Finney and Joan Allen reprise their roles, as Dr. Hirsch and Pamela Landy, respectively. They will be the main through lines to the original trilogy and should help make a little more sense of the new direction for the series. The Fire Extinguisher Though it may not ultimately mean that much for the story, a move as inventive as sticking a nail into the end of the fire extinguisher has to be acknowledged. “The Bourne Legacy” hits theaters August 3. ‘We were never asked to make something in relation to the Super Bowl,’ directors Megaforce exclusively tell MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Rob Markman Madonna in her “Give Me All Your Luvin’ ” music video Photo: Interscope Two days before Madonna took the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show, she dropped a video for her lead MDNA single “Give Me All Your Luvin’ ” that was chock-full of cheerleaders and football players. While it may seem awfully suspicious that Madge would tout football in a video released mere days before her halftime spectacle Sunday night, the clip’s duo of directors, the Megaforce , insist the similarly themed moments are purely coincidental. “I think the track has something to do with cheerleading. It’s pretty clear that the beginning is a kind of cheering [anthem],” the Megaforce’s Clement Gallet told MTV News about the song, which also features Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. “With this one, it felt like there was no point to bring it somewhere else [in terms of visuals] other than where it was. I don’t think our cheerleaders are really obvious.” In fact, the cheerleaders in the video look way different than the ones cheering at the Big Game. Led by Minaj and M.I.A., the cheer squad sports anime-like masks and even gets a bit cheekily violent when one bats the head off a football player near the end of the clip. While the Super Bowl plans had been in the air when Madge and the crew hit the New York set back in December, the video’s look was influenced more by the Martin Solveig track than anything else, the director say. “We were aware that this video, this track was supposed to be aired during the Super Bowl, but we never felt or we were never even asked to make something in relation to the Super Bowl,” Gallet explained. “And I think it’s just — it’s not a coincidence, we had the Super Bowl in mind — but we are not doing a video about Super Bowl.” Did Madonna’s new video put you in the mood for Sunday’s Super Bowl performance? If you’ve ever heard of The Roots, you know their drummer, Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson , is a huge Soul Train fanatic. If you want to put some sizzle back into your sex life, food can help you set the mood this Valentine’s Day. There’s nothing better than a romantic, home-cooked dinner, featuring some R-rated foods to help turn up the heat. “There’s a growing body of evidence that some of the vitamins and components in foods can enhance sexual function and sexual experience,” says Jennifer R. Berman, MD, director of the Berman Women’s Wellness Center in Beverly Hills, Calif. And if you’re sporting a little extra pudge, incorporating these in-the-mood-foods into a healthy, plant-based diet is one of the best ways to help you get back to your sexy self. If you’re overweight, research shows losing just 10% of your body weight can improve the quality of your sex life, explains Martin Binks, PhD, of the Duke University Diet and Fitness Center. “We find that among overweight women, they bring their negative self-talk and body image issues to the bedroom, and it negatively impacts their sexual well-being.” Here are some of the food ingredients (and my own favorite recipes) that have been major players in aphrodisiac history and lore– and also have modern-day science to help back up their claims. [From CNN Health ] Almonds Topping my of feisty foods, almonds have long been purported to increase passion, act as a sexual stimulant, and aid with fertility. Like asparagus (another one of my favorite sexy foods), almonds are nutrient-dense and rich in several trace minerals that are important for sexual health and reproduction, such as zinc, selenium, and vitamin E. “Zinc helps enhance libido and sexual desire,” says Dr. Berman. “We don’t really understand the mechanisms behind it, but we know it works.” Avocados The Aztecs referred to avocados as, ahem, testicles, because of their physical shape. But the scientific reason why avocados make sense as an aphrodisiac is that they are rich in unsaturated fats and low in saturated fat, making them good for your heart and your arteries. Anything that keeps the heart beating strong helps keep blood flowing to all the right places; in fact, men with underlying heart disease are twice as likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction (ED). Strawberries The color red is known to help stoke the fire: A 2008 study found that men find women sexier if they’re wearing red, as opposed to “cool” colors such as blue or green. Strawberries are also an excellent source of folic acid, a B vitamin that helps ward off birth defects in women and, according to a University of California, Berkley study, may be tied to high sperm counts in men. This Valentine’s Day, try making dark chocolate-dipped strawberries. And while we’re on the subject, there’s a reason we give chocolate on Valentine’s Day: It’s full of libido-boosting methylzanthines. Seafood Despite their slippery and slimy texture, oysters may be the most well-known aphrodisiac. They’re also one of the best sources of libido-boosting zinc. But other types of seafood can also act as aphrodisiacs. Oily fish– like wild salmon and herring– contain omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for a healthy heart. I’ve been posting a bunch of behind the scenes Candice Swanepoel bikini pictures over the last few days, she’s off shooting some sexy Victoria’s Secret catalogue in paradise somewhere, but I was in the mood for a finished product. Here she is all tanned and airbrushed and looking absolutely amazing in her bikini bottoms and silly boots. I hope to be reincarnated as a rich old dude so I’ll have the opportunity to slip a hottie like this the soft one day.
Perry’s hair colorist weighs in on the pop star’s ever-changing locks. By Jocelyn Vena Katy Perry Photo: Jeff Bottari/ Getty Images Over the weekend, Katy Perry debuted another shade of blue hair in Las Vegas . The newer, bluer hair was more turquoise than the look she had sported weeks before on the set of an Adidas commercial . Katy is constantly changing her hair color from black to blond to pink, and seemingly every shade in between. These days, however, it seems she’s settled on blue. So, when MTV News spoke to her longtime hair colorist, Rita Hazan, she gave us the low-down on why Ms. Perry is feeling so blue these days. “Of course, being Katy, she is a lot more edgy and she’s cooler and she likes to take a lot of risks. And I love that she’s like, ‘I’m feeling a little blue, let’s go blue’ — not in her energy, just in her hair color,” Hazan explained to MTV News about the pop star’s current hair-color choice. “I felt like it’s the perfect color for her because her eyes are blue and she has the perfect skin tone to be a really vibrant, really cool, intense blue.” When Hazan first heard about Perry’s decision to deepen her locks to blue, she wanted her to be a “cobalt blue, muted cobalt blue; it’s really cool. It took me three days to come up with this color. I’m so obsessed with it. It’s like the wallpaper for my iPhone.” Since then, the color has lightened up a bit, but regardless of the shade, the hair still has everyone buzzing. “I was shocked by all the crazy reactions that people had to the blue ’cause I thought going from black to pink would have been the major reaction people would have,” she said. “But I kind of like that people are loving the blue ’cause I’m obsessed with blue. So any shade of blue, I’m loving. I know it’s not natural, but it sort of works in a natural way.” Of course, her hair color might have something to do with her recent split from Russell Brand . Kimberley Pierce, a colorist at Ion Studio in New York City, explained that she’s seen many a newly single chick come in and change up their mood with some new hair color. “They’ll come in for a consult and say, ‘My boyfriend and I just broke up and I want brown hair’ and they’re a blonde,” she said, adding that she usually has some advice for those rash decisions. “The best thing we can do for them is tell them to try a wig on first.” Whatever Katy’s reason for the shocking, eye-catching color change, Pierce added that it really works for her. “I kind of like that she got away from the pink because I feel like we’ve seen that so much. With the blue, it’s more vibrant and definitely she’s on her own with it,” she said. “She’s kind of all the way in with the blue. She’s kind of this candy-coated sort of person. So I guess blue would be the natural transition, or purple. It’s nice to see her experiment with different things.” What do you think of Katy Perry’s new blue hair? Leave your comment below!
