Lady Gaga Gets Crafty In Thanksgiving Special Preview

‘A Very Gaga Thanksgiving,’ airing Thursday on ABC, will feature a performance of ‘Marry the Night.’ By James Dinh Lady Gaga in ABC’s “A Very Gaga Thanksgiving” Photo: ABC Gather ’round, Little Monsters! Lady Gaga is serving up something special during a preview for her very-first 90-minute holiday TV special, “A Very Gaga Thanksgiving,” which will air at 9:30 p.m. ET Thursday on ABC. “So excited for everyone to see the Thanksgiving Special I directed!” the pop star wrote on Twitter alongside a link to a preview. “Getting into the holiday spirit!” In a three-minute teaser, Mother Monster gathers with a crowd of third-grade children from her former elementary school to make some festive crafts and share personal holiday-food traditions. “I want everyone to go around the room and say one thing that their family makes for Thanksgiving,” she tells the swarm of girls. Gaga is met with a number of answers, including turkey, ham and pumpkin pie, and one girl’s choice leads Gaga to reveal one of her favorite Thanksgiving foods: “I love cranberry sauce. My mom makes the best cranberry sauce ever!” she tells the student. It’s just some simple chit-chat as they create Thanksgiving crafts and later help the pop superstar tie her apron. In addition to the festive footage, Gaga also takes to an intimate stage to perform “Bad Romance” and, later on, to an outside balcony for her latest single, “Marry the Night.” Dressed in a shoulder-less black dress with matching hand gloves, the songstress channels her inner Audrey Hepburn as she offers fans some dramatic poses during the number. Can’t get enough of Gaga’s holiday tunes? The singer just released a four-track digital EP called A Very Gaga Holiday on iTunes, which includes “White Christmas,” “Orange Colored Sky,” “Yo

Lady Gaga Reads To Her Fans From Photo Book

Gaga does a little story time, reading the intro to her Terry Richardson-shot tome in a new video. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic Lady Gaga’s Terry Richardson-shot photo book hits stores in less than a week, and as such, she’s decided to give her fans a sneak peek — with a little Mother Monster Story Time. In a new video posted on her YouTube channel, Gaga reads the intro she penned for the book, an essay about her relationship with Richardson that’s long on literary flourish and also serves as an examination of self, not to mention a rallying cry for those on the fringes of society. It is, to say the very least, very Gaga. Reclining on a couch in a black, sequined outfit (with matching chapeau), LG cracks the tome — which, she notes, is “dedicated to the Little Monsters, naturally ” — and pores over her prose. And somewhere, Terry Richardson is undoubtedly blushing. “Sometimes it seems as though I’ve waited my entire life to be photographed by Terry Richardson. With Terry, the relationship extends beyond the photograph, and if you’re lucky, he will teach you something truly profound about yourself,” she reads. “I have discovered through him that shame is an obsolete notion and apology is an injustice to any performance. … To say he is a free spirit is a tremendous understatement and to say that he, or I, make people uncomfortable is spot on. “Terry finds beauty in the most intricate and unassuming of places. His photography beckons the question over and over again: ‘Should there ever be limitations in art?’ Because when he captures me in a moment of such tandem and artistic human purity, I’m convinced the answer is that we must push the boundaries of culture through love and acceptance,” she continues. “There is no moment too strange, no angle unflattering … and never a time that I feel embarrassed or unsafe. Awaked in me is a perverse liberation inspiring me to feel that it is OK to view yourself as hyper-human. This is how Terry views me. I am so real, he says, that I am unreal.” Those seemingly “hyper-human” moments include unfiltered photographs taken over the course of 10 very hectic months, that feature of Gaga in dispose, including “waking up in the morning, brushing my teeth, in the bathroom, in the bathtub, in the shower,” as she explained to MTV News earlier this year. “The thing about Terry, if you know anything about his photography, is that nothing is staged; I mean, that’s sort of what he is renowned for. He can get you to do things and he can capture things that no one can ever capture,” she explained. “He could come backstage and he would say, ‘Oh my God, the fans! ‘ And I’d say ‘I know …’ And he’d say, ‘Baby, wow! ‘ And then he’d film me, like, peeing in a cup and, like, ridiculous things.” What are you expecting from the Lady Gaga photo book? Bill Maher on Elisabeth Hasselbeck Feud: I Feel Like a Teenage Boy at Penn State!

Bill Maher talked to David Letterman about his fight with Elisabeth Hasselbeck on The View , and needless to say, didn’t seem eager to apologize and put this to bed. On the contrary, the outspoken late night comedian seemed more amused than anything that Hasselbeck ambushed him about a joke he once made about her. “You kind of walked into a deal there, huh?” Letterman said. Maher’s response? Diss her and make a reference to former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, obviously … Bill Maher on Letterman “I was abused. I felt like a teenage boy at Penn State,” quipped Maher, never one to pass on an un-PC zinger. “It’s funny, I am never in the role of the victim… It was like, thank you, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, for making me look good! “She had some bug up her ass,” he added, but then softened his tone. “Look, I’m only kidding. I like her a lot. We have this relationship on TV where we hate each other.” Watch the aforementioned exchange on The View after the jump: Elisabeth Hasselbeck Versus Bill Maher on The View

Lady Gaga Loses Her Head on X Factor UK

Lady Gaga lost her head on Sunday night on X Factor UK. Talking the stage to perform “Marry the Night,” Mother Monster was decked out in a gown that made her appear headless as she emerged from a crypt (obviously). As torches burned around the stage, her dancers did most of the acrobatic movements, allowing Gaga to stick to the middle of the stage in her unusual costume. When the song closed out, the MTV Europe Award winner went back in the box and reemerged in a black bodysuit, immersing herself in the gothic dance number. Watch vintage Gaga in action below! ‘Twilight’ Fans Bond Over Vampire Love In ‘Tent City’

‘I would have come two weeks ago if they would have let me,’ one camper tells MTV News outside ‘Breaking Dawn’ premiere. By Kara Warner A fan attends the “Breaking Dawn” premiere in Los Angeles Photo: Getty Images LOS ANGELES — Here at MTV News, we’ve been celebrating the highly anticipated release of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” with a flurry of “Twilight”-related activity. Now it’s time to spotlight the very dedicated, passionate fanbase. On Saturday, we headed out to “Twilight” fan central, fondly referred to as “tent city,” where more than 900 people had already set up camp ahead of tonight’s Los Angeles premiere. (Join MTV.com live from the red carpet at 8 p.m. ET!) “I got here at 12 a.m. Wednesday night,” Megan Lambert told us in front of her “Team Jacob”-themed tent. Lambert holds the #2 spot in line and is hoping for a hug from Taylor Lautner at the premiere. Campers Lisa Paulosky, Emily Chadduck and Christy Brolezi bonded over their love for “Twilight” and formed a Facebook group ahead of the premiere for fellow fans who wanted to camp out. Several members traveled a considerable distance to be there. “I came from Chicago,” Paulosky said. “I came from New Mexico,” Chadduck admitted. They all want one thing on Monday: a Robert Pattinson encounter. “I need to take a picture with Rob,” Brolezi said. “My heart will break if I don’t.” The most creative fan group award goes to the ladies behind the Facebook group Kristen Stewart’s Hot Bodyguard, a.k.a. Team HBG. Unsurprisingly, the ladies are hoping for a photo opp with Kristen and their main man, HBG. “We have a special present for HBG that we’ve been holding onto for a year,” founding member Lynsey Jacob told us. We also happened upon a young male fan, who wasn’t at all shy about his love for the lady vampires, particularly Nikki Reed. “I’m Team Vampires,” Cody Huddleston said with a smile. The dedication among these fans is a marvel, and they would have camped out sooner if they could have. “I would have come two weeks ago if they would have let me,” Shannon Berry said. “I would have come a month ago.” Tonight, join MTV.com live from the “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” red-carpet premiere as we talk to your favorite stars about all things “Twilight”! Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Lady Gaga And Laurieann Gibson Split: Experts React

‘It’s shocking and it’s not,’ one music writer tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: WireImage After spending nearly her entire career working with Laurieann Gibson , Lady Gaga confirmed Monday (November 14) that she and her creative director had decided to part ways. It was a move that may have been surprising to Gaga’s Little Monsters, considering how closely the two have created some of the Mother Monster’s most memorable visuals, but did the split surprise music-industry observers? “On the one hand, I get why [they split], because it seems like Laurieann’s been doing a lot outside of the Gaga universe,” Entertainment Weekly ‘s Kyle Anderson told MTV News, referring to Gibson’s starring roles on the BET dance competition show “Born to Dance” and another dance reality series, E!’s “The Dance Scene.” “On the other hand, it’s a little bit strange, because Gaga’s circle of people is so small, and all those people have been with her since pretty much the duration. She’s really, really loyal, so it’s a little bit strange to me, because I think she has this circle of people she trusts with her work.” Who should be Gaga’s next choreographer? Let us know in the Newsroom! As a key member of the Haus of Gaga, Gibson was never afraid to share her honest opinion about Gaga’s work. Most notably, she spoke out publicly against Gaga’s Jo Calderone performance at the VMAs , as well as her Nick Knight-directed “Born This Way” clip . That unbridled honesty could be behind the Gaga/Gibson split, according to Us Weekly senior music editor Ian Drew. “It’s shocking and it’s not,” Drew told MTV News. “They were extremely close, and she let Laurieann have an unprecedented amount of control in her camp. Let’s face it: Laurieann is very headstrong, never holds back what she thinks, and that tends to rub people the wrong way. I’m not totally surprised; it was only a matter of time. “Look, I love Laurieann, and as a journalist, she’s an interviewer’s dream, because you’d catch her and she’d always just say what was going on,” he added. “Laurieann would just say it. She would give you that perfect sound bite. She tended to be a little bit loose-lipped. But on the other hand, I can see why that maybe ruffled Gaga’s feathers, because Gaga’s all about the performance piece and not giving away too much. Laurieann really liked to take credit — not that that was bad, [and] maybe it was due, but maybe Gaga didn’t want everyone knowing that. In the end, I do tend to think it was something to do with creative differences.” The big question is how the duo’s severed partnership will impact Gaga’s future endeavors. Will Little Monsters notice Gibson’s absence? “It always puts a really, really heavy focus on whatever the next project is,” Anderson explained. “With stars like these, people become curious to know: ‘Well how much do these individual cogs play into what we see in front of us?’ These two have been together [for years], so we don’t yet know what Gaga is like without her. So we don’t know exactly what part of that personality plays into her projects.” What do you think about Gaga and Laurieann’s split? Let us know on Facebook.
