Singer will perform eight songs on ABC’s ‘A Very Gaga Thanksgiving,’ on November 24. Lady Gaga Photo: Alo Ceballos/FilmMagic It’s going to be “A Very Gaga Thanksgiving.” No, that’s not some joke about your Aunt Frannie showing up in a turkey dress for the annual family gathering, it’s the actual name of the 90-minute prime time Lady Gaga Thanksgiving special that will air on ABC on November 24. The show, which will team Gaga with veteran TV news announcer Katie Couric, was, of course, conceived and directed by Mother Monster herself and will feature the singer performing eight songs in front of a small audience of her friends and family, according to a press release announcing the show. Couric will also sit down for an interview in which she asks Gaga about the inspiration for some of her songs as the two chat at Gaga’s New York alma mater, Sacred Heart Catholic School. “We all know Lady Gaga is a phenomenon,” Couric said in a statement. “This is a chance to see more of who she is beneath the wild costumes and staged musical numbers … Lady Gaga as a high school student still bruised by being excluded from the party, Lady Gaga as a devoted daughter and caring sister, Lady Gaga as a 25-year-old woman embracing fame and fortune that seemed to come overnight. She will impress you, delight you and surprise you.” In addition to her new single, “Marry the Night,” and other songs from Born This Way (“You and I,” “The Edge of Glory”), Gaga will perform “White Christmas” and her duet with Tony Bennett, “The Lady Is a Tramp.” Chef Art Smith will also drop in to share some recipes on the special, including his holiday classic, deep-fried turkey and waffles. The always busy Mother Monster has other plans cooking up this month. Bieber becomes first artist to achieve 2 billion YouTube views, one year after losing the race to 1 billion hits to Gaga. By James Montgomery Justin Bieber Photo: Frank Micelotta/MTV One year ago, Lady Gaga bested Justin Bieber in the race to 1 billion YouTube views , becoming the first artist to reach the plateau and establishing herself as the queen of social media in the process. Well, now it’s Bieber who reigns supreme, blowing by Gaga to become the first artist to rack up 2 billion YouTube views, according to social-media stats service Famecount.com . Bieber set the mark on Monday, thanks in no small part to his 1 million official YouTube subscribers, who help his YouTube site average nearly 94 million views a month. Bieber, of course, began his career as a YouTube sensation, after videos of the then-12-year-old singer tallied millions of views and caught the attention of manager Scooter Braun and Usher . For most of 2010, he and Gaga jockeyed for position atop the YouTube charts, as the clips for “Baby” and “Bad Romance” battled back and forth to be the most-watched music videos on the site. Gaga also became the first artist to have her music videos break the 1 billion mark in total online views in March 2010, and nipped Bieber in the race to 10 million Twitter followers in May of the same year. And while Bieber is now the first artist to amass 2 billion YouTube views, he still trails Lady Gaga in overall online clout . According to Famecount, Mother Monster still holds a sizable lead over Bieber in total Facebook fans (44 million to 37 million) and Twitter followers (15 million to nearly 14 million). Both Bieber and Gaga trail Eminem and Rihanna in terms of overall Facebook fans: Em counts 48 million fans, while RiRi has 46 million. On Monday night, she tweeted out some teases about the New York-based clip. “Just wrapped my 5th music video, can’t wait to unfold all its secrets and share with you moments from my past I have yet to reveal,” she said on the site. “Put Born This Way back in the vessel, for rebirth, as I lay in mine. When too strong to divorce, then buckle up, MARRY THE NIGHT.” Gaga shot the video earlier this month in her hometown. She was spotted all over town filming scenes for the Born This Way single’s video , including at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center in Staten Island. “This is my favorite song on the album. Are you ready [producer] @FERNANDOGARIBAY?” she said. “This one is our baby.” In addition to getting philosophical about the clip, Gaga also shared the cover art for the single, the fifth off her chart-topping album. “Do you want the #MARRY THE NIGHT SINGLE COVER tonight?” the Mother Monster asked her dedicated legion of fans. “If monsters make MARRY THE NIGHT SINGLE COVER the number one trending topic I will release it tonight. Early. SORRY INTERSCOPE! I LOVE THEM!” After Twitter blocked all chances to get the trend going, Gaga defied the rules and released the art anyway. “Even better, you pissed [off] Twitter.
