CBS ‘Early Show’ Touted Levi Johnston When He Was Trashing the Palins, But Now That He’s Recanted….

CBS’s Early Show was eager to host Levi Johnston when he was trashing the Palin family last year – 5 segments totaling more than 24 minutes of airtime. But since admitting that some of his attacks were untrue, the morning show has barely noticed, making only two brief mentions of Johnston’s reversal and apology in a July 6 People Magazine interview . On Friday, fill-in co-host Erica Hill offered a scant 42 second discussion of Johnston’s apology in the show’s weekly ‘Early Wrap’ segment. She actually admitted that it had been “highly under-reported.” On Wednesday, amidst  2 minutes and 32 seconds of coverage of Johnston’s re-engagement to Bristol Palin, a total of 25 seconds was given to his apology.  During the Wednesday coverage, co-host Harry Smith remarked: “How many times was that young man on this show talking really horrible things about the Palins?” Later, Hill declared that Johnston “said some rather unflattering things,” causing Smith to once again describe how “Levi was on this show a bunch, several times in that era, and did interviews with [fellow Early Show co-host] Maggie [Rodriguez].”   Of the five 2009 segments about Johnston, three were exclusive interviews between him and  Rodriguez. The first interview aired on April 8, while the second was aired in two parts on October 28 and 29.  In addition, the show did September 3 segment on Johnston’s anti-Palin Vanity Fair interview and a November 17 story previewing an interview with him on the CBS entertainment news program ‘The Insider.’   During each of those broadcasts, Johnston’s allegations were hyped as important breaking news. On September 3, Smith declared: “The father of Sarah Palin’s grandchild is talking again. Someone won’t be pleased. We’ll tell you what Levi Johnston is saying.” On October 27, Smith announced: “The father of Sarah Palin’s grandson is here with some stunning allegations about the former Alaska Governor.” Teasing the November 17 segment, Rodriguez proclaimed: “Still to come, Levi Johnston says he is winning the war of words between Sarah Palin and him. We’ll hear from him when we return.” A clip was later played of Johnston: “I just look at her in disgust. It’s almost funny that she’s like 46 years old and she’s battling a 19-year-old and I’m winning and I’m telling the truth. She’s lying and losing.” After airing the second part of her interview with Johnston on October 29, Rodriguez read a response from Sarah Palin that said in part: “CBS should be ashamed for continually providing a forum to propagate lies.” Rodriguez defended herself by claiming “…we raised all those questions about credibility and his motivation for doing this.” Now that Johnston has admitted to making false statements, when will CBS admit its mistake in providing him a media platform.

Porn Is 3D TV’s Best Hope

Years ago, the prevalence of porn on VHS tapes helped secure that format's victory over betamax. Now adult content again may play a decisive role in the evolution of video entertainment, as the promise of immersive sexual entertainment lures new customers to 3D television sets. With porn representing 30% of the overall video market in Japan, a 3D title featuring prominent porn stars—like the one becoming available next week—could be the push for many consumers to get the new sets, Bloomberg reports. “I want to try it out,” said one Japanese adult-cable subscriber. “I need something dramatic to justify replacing my TV. This could be the motivation.” Analysts agree: “It’s lack of content that’s hindering expansion,” of 3D TV, says a Barclay's economist. http://www.newser.com/story/91061/porn-is-3-d-tvs-best-hope.html added by: unimatrix0

German people are fucked. Performing artists are fucked. Fashion is fucked. You see you take a weird of introspective, overly serious and analytical hippie lesbian bitches with women’s studies degrees, and next thing you know, you have a group of body painted naked people doing a stage show that the fashion world and “art” appreciating bullshit artists gets hard for……like this M*A*C Cosmetics presents Kembra Pfahler and The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black Dietch Projects….and really….it’s fucking amazing…cuz I see shaved pussy lip and I couldn’t care less what the motivation of getting naked was, I’m just happy they are fucking naked….and not one of them has a meaty pussy…they are all coinslot and that’s just unheard of if this generation of hormone in the food big pussies i see on local strippers….amazing… The funniest thing in all this is not that all these bitches had to do was get naked to get noticed, a lesson I’ve been telling bitches for years, but that I am considered a porn site by advertisers for posting pussy like this, but these strippers have corporate sponsors cuz they paint their bodies and call it art. The world is unfair, now look at their vaginas… Pics via LFI

Young Jeezy Reveals His Paranoia In ‘Lose My Mind’ Video

In new clip, featuring Plies, Jeezy parties hard while thinking about more dangerous times. By Jayson Rodriguez Young Jeezy in his “Lose My Mind” video Young Jeezy delivered the unofficial anthem for Barack Obama’s election with his last album, The Recession, and the Atlanta MC is back in the streets with his forthcoming effort Thug Motivation 103. The video for the album’s first single “Lose My Mind” featuring Plies premiered on MTV 2 on Monday (April 26), and from the onset, Jeezy takes it back to his trap days. “I got a lot going on,” he begins in a voiceover, as he’s seen chatting with his USDA cohort Boo Rossini. “Rap stuff, street stuff, it’s all the same things. Pressure bust pipes, holes sink ships.” From there, Jeezy ventures to the club, where he boasts about the riches fame has afforded him. In a stark, black-and-white visual, director Taj captures the Def Jam superstar in his glory. But as images flash of girls, bottles and hangers-on enjoying the celebrations, the clip catches Jeezy battling the paranoia he still experiences from his former occupation. “Like I was saying, I just feel different,” he says, midway through the clip, picking up the conversation where the video’s intro leaves off. A solitary Jeezy is then shown walking to a men’s room, rubbing his eyes and distancing himself from the festivities. He ambles into a stall and turns around to see a figure rising from a covered gurney. The hallucination ends with Jeezy in a leather straitjacket, reflecting the song’s lyrics: “I’m hearing voices in my head/ Think I’m schizophrenic,” he raps. “I swear they sayin’ ‘Let’s Get It’/ From another planet.” “To me, it’s my life,” Jeezy told MTV News last month about the track. “That’s how I feel sometimes when I go out. If you listen to me, I said it a few times: ‘Lost my mind and my cell phone in the same night.’ No two days are the same. … I been partying my whole life. That’s how you feel the next day. You killed them, and you left. You was looking good, shining good, there’s no limit to what you can have in the club. That’s how it’s been for us before music. ” ‘Lose My Mind’ is doing what the hell I wanna do in the club. If it’s 100 bottles of ros

Friends Say Lindsay Lohan is a Lost Cause; Michael Lohan Still Threatening Conservatorship

Today is D-Day for Lindsay Lohan. This according to her estranged father, Michael Lohan. He’s laid down an ultimatum – meet with him or he’ll go to court. His goal there could be twofold: To free Ali Lohan , 16, from Lindsay’s home. To set up a Britney-like conservatorship . One catch? He wants to meet with Lindsay Lohan and his lawyer. After he said just last week that no lawyers, just his daughters, needed to be present. Michael is retaining Lisa Bloom, a very smart lawyer and the daughter of (you know it) Gloria Allred. Lisa also just happens to work for … wait for it … … an entertainment TV show! SAVE LINDSAY : It’s certainly a noble cause, as she is headed downhill in a hurry. But once again, Michael Lohan’s motives are highly questionable at best . Why throw a high-profile lawyer in the middle of this supposed be-all, end-all father/daughter heart-to-heart? And where is Ali Lohan in all of this? Will Lindsay meet with Michael ? Will Michael go to the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services to get Ali out of Lindsay’s clutches? Will Michael become the 2010 version of Jamie Spears? Were will Lindsay be getting sloshed this evening? Will Michael appear on Extra tonight? These and many more questions remain unanswered in the escalating Lohan family drama. But whatever his motivation, at least he’s still fighting. One of Lindsay’s former close friends says that virtually all of the train wreck’s friends have basically just thrown in the towel in recent months. The well-known ex-pal, who requested anonymity, “talking to Lindsay is like talking to a wall – if you ever say anything negative to her, she cuts you off.” The friend calls her “a lost cause.” Let’s hope it’s not too late .

How Fame Has Changed Kristen Stewart

In the latest issue of Flaunt magazine, Kristen Stewart admits she’s just like many girls her age. Not because she smokes, though readers are still debating whether or not this makes her a bad role model . Instead, the actress tells the publication that she can be as insecure as anyone, especially with the spotlight now on her. “I definitely act differently. I’m definitely overcoming a lot of it. The only insecurity I’ve developed is just being overly paranoid about everyone looking at you when they’re not,” she says. Stewart is also aware that she come across as unfriendly. While Robert Pattinson knows the real Kristen, many others do not and this is why: “I get defensive and that has probably perpetuated people’s idea of me never smiling. I kind of shake my leg too, so people think I’m always uncomfortable.” In an attempt to let fans in more, Stewart explained her motivation behind choosing movies: “Who knows what you’re going to connect with and then be able to live up to? I can’t just read a script and say it’s great because there’s a part for me, my age, perfect—I can’t live that life. You know what I mean? That’s just not me.”

Death Cab For Cutie Strive ‘To Make Music We Enjoy’ On New Album

Frontman Ben Gibbard says band’s only motivation these days is to have fun. By James Montgomery Death Cab for Cutie Photo: Frank Micelotta/ Getty Images The last time MTV News spoke to Death Cab for Cutie about the status of their new album, guitarist/producer Chris Walla said things were still in the “scratchy, unfinished demos” stage but that the music was already looking to split the difference between the live-and-loose Narrow Stairs and the more polished Plans. So, when we got DCFC frontman Ben Gibbard on the phone last week — to discuss his love of all things Seattle Mariner-y — we asked him for an update on the project. From the sound of things, the focus has sharpened considerably. “We’re going in the studio in June to start working on the record,” Gibbard told MTV News. “We’re going to be recording through the summer and into the fall, and all things being equal, we’re probably looking for a spring 2011 release.” Echoing Walla’s earlier sentiments, Gibbard said that the new Death Cab tunes do seem to be gleaned from a live setting or just a jam session in a room full of friends. “We all live in different cities now, but I strangely feel closer to my bandmates than I ever have before, and I think that as we move forward as a band, our only motivation is to make music that we enjoy, and to make music because it’s fun,” Gibbard said. “All of the accolades that we once hoped for — that we were striving for that were directly outside of the creative process — we’ve met almost all of those goals. So now, for us, it’s more of, ‘Oh, you know, I love hanging out with Chris and Nick and Jason, and talking about music and playing guitar.’ It’s just fun. We’re only doing it because we enjoy it.” And in keeping with that vibe, some of Gibbard’s early favorites for the album came from an informal e-mail he got from Walla that contained a couple of demos the guitarist had been working on purely on a whim. “We’ve had a couple of songs where Chris has sent me music, and I’ve done some arrangements and lyrics and melodies on them, and in the batch of material we’ve got sitting in the coffer ready to go on the record, that to me is the most exciting stuff,” he said. “They were a couple of tunes that he sent me that I’ve kind of finished, I’m really excited about.” More than a decade into their career, with both a platinum-selling album ( Plans ) and a #1 debut ( Narrow Stairs ) under their belts, Death Cab finally feel like they’ve reached a place where they can make the kind of music they want to, without worrying about impressing anyone other than themselves. And that appears to be the driving force behind the new album: complete, hard-won artistic freedom. “I’d like to think a lot of inspiration comes from that being the motivation, rather than, ‘Oh, this is our major-label record, we’ve got to do it great, or else people are going to say this,’ ” Gibbard said. “All those things you never talk about, but they’re all in your mind. So for us now, going into this next record, we’ll assess our accomplishments after we’re done making them, and … I feel like we have a lot more records to make. “We’ve all kind of landed in a place in our lives, personally and professionally, where we can all get together and enjoy each other’s company and enjoy making music,” he reiterated. “I certainly feel a lot more confident as a songwriter and a musician, and confident in the ability of my bandmates to make things that we’d want to listen to ourselves.” What is your favorite Death Cab for Cutie song? Jon Gosselin Makes Good on Lawsuit Threat, Kate Gosselin Calls Out "Pathetic" Maneuver

A man of his word, Jon Gosselin made good on a threat to file legal papers asking a Pennsylvania judge for primary custody of his children with Kate Gosselin. Jon also wants the child support order that is currently in place – in which the huge douchebag is on the hook for a huge sum every month – reviewed by the judge. Jon claims the arbitrator in the divorce “failed to take into consideration the numerous factors provided for by the law in PA.” Such as Jon being a broke loser? His lawyer, Anthony F. List, said earlier this week that Kate is an “absentee mom” and that her being on Dancing with the Stars is the latest, flagrant example. Team Kate hit back that Jon’s attempt to win custody is “pathetic.” The worst part about this custody fight? Someone has to win. Mark Momjian, her attorney, hit back at him , saying Jon’s motives are transparent: “He’s never questioned her ability to provide for their children. He’s out of the limelight, while 23 million people are watching Kate on Dancing with the Stars .” Way to get in an irrelevant dig there about who’s more famous. Momjian adds, more validly, how it’s ironic that Kate is effectively the breadwinner, but when she goes to earn a living he then says she’s not caring for the kids. The lawyer defended Kate’s parenting and says the legal documents filed by Jon are so “incoherent” and flawed that he expects the judge to throw the case out. Momjian says that Jon Gosselin, who owes $20,000 a month in support and may be simply looking for a way to circumvent that, is out for Jon alone, adding: “Do I think his motivation is the children’s best interest. Squarely no.” Who should have custody of the Gosselin children?

Jay-Z Short Documentary ‘NY-Z’ Premieres Online

Film features Jay discussing his connection with hometown New York and includes performance footage and interviews with John Mayer and others. By Jayson Rodriguez Jay-Z Photo: Kevin Mazur/ Getty Images Jay-Z and New York’s Madison Square Garden go together like Wayne Newton and Las Vegas’ the Stardust. So in honor of this partnership, Absolut vodka released a mini-documentary titled “NY-Z” that details the Brooklyn rapper’s bond with the world’s most famous arena. The 15-minute production, directed by Danny Clinch, landed online late Monday afternoon. “New York, New York, is my foundation, it’s the center of my growth, it’s the muse for my art,” Jay-Z says in the clip. “It’s where I grew up. It’s the thing that I have a lot of pride in.” The doc trails Jay-Z as he prepared for the release of his Blueprint 3 album and his September 11 benefit show at the Garden. The star-studded event boasted an array of guests, from old friends Mary J. Blige and Diddy to new Hov associates Kid Cudi and John Mayer. Mayer reveals in the doc that he was so moved by “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” that he took to Twitter to express how much the song inspired him. “Very few songs that come on the radio today make me curious,” he explained in the clip, saying his motivation was to land a chance to play guitar on the track. The guitarist’s tweets got back to Jay-Z, who reached out to Mayer. “We had an e-mail correspondence and I told him, ‘I’m gonna hold you to that one day,’ ” Jay-Z said. Mayer ultimately joined Jay-Z onstage and provided one of the highlights of the 9/11 show , as the bluesy musician’s strings gave the rapper’s anti-Auto-Tune anthem added funk. In addition to interviews with Hov and Mayer about the 9/11 show, “NY-Z” features the rapper reminiscing about his upbringing in Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects and his mother’s record collection, which included albums by the Isley Brothers, the Jackson 5 and the Commodores, which Jay said inspired his original Blueprint album. Jay said his mom had “great musical taste.” Rehearsal footage of the lyricist and his band performing “Empire State of Mind” also makes its way into the film, as does behind-the-scenes footage of Jay-Z attending the 10-year anniversary party for his clothing line, Rocawear. Toward the end of the clip, the rapper talks about his knack for collaborations, in both the professional and personal scope of his life. “I’m all for collaborations, whether it be with business or with artists,” he said. “It can’t be about money, there has to be something in there that’s true for both sides. I think it’s a great thing when two people come together with two different ideas and two different approaches and they align at the end of the day. No one loses when it’s like that.” Where have you seen Jay-Z perform? Who else owns the Garden like him? Let us know in the comments below, or upload a video to Your.MTV.com !
