Her Trailer: Joaquin Phoenix Gets Cozy With a Computer

People are attached to their electronics, this is not news. However, Spike Jonez is taking that attachment to the extreme with his newest film,  Her. Joaquin Phoenix stars in the new film about a newly single man who finds a friend in a new artificial intelligence operating system that appears to be Apple’s Siri with a more powerful brain.  Things start out with Phoenix and his new OS living the dream, but soon things turn weird. And creepy. Creepy and weird. Check out the Her  trailer below! Her Trailer Joining Phoenix are Amy Adams and Scarlett Johansson.  Her opens in theaters on November 20th.

All is Lost Trailer: Robert Redford Helpless on the Open Sea

Robert Redford is back on the big screen with the upcoming  All is Lost . The list of actors that can pull off a film of solely them on a sinking boat and then life raft? It is short. Robert Redford however, is likely towards the top. Check out the  All is Lost trailer below! All is Lost Trailer I have a recurring nightmare of going out for a sail and ending up in a situation that would make Bear Grylls cringe so this movie is like a horror flick for me. At the same time, I can not wait! Tom Hanks showed that the best actors can take a volleyball and make us love it, here’s hoping Robert Redford does the same. All is Lost opens on October 18th.

How Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington haven’t done a movie together until now, I do not know. However, that has now been remedied as the two have teamed up for the buddy cop movie,  2 Guns. You might have already seen the 2 Guns trailer , but check out the new  2 Guns red band trailer below! 2 Guns Red Band Trailer Buddy cop movies are quite the rage this summer. Hopefully  2 Guns will find themselves on the  The Heat side of the scale as opposed to the recently tanked,  R.I.P.D. .

Romeo and Juliet Trailer: Fall in Love with Classic Story Again!

It seems as if every generation needs to have their own adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet.  People just can’t get enough of the tragic tale of star crossed lovers. Check out the newest  Romeo and Juliet trailer below! Romeo and Juliet Trailer I find it hard to believe that anything can top my generation’s Baz Luhrmann directed version with Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio or even John Madden’s “story around the story”, Shakespeare in Love. However, it seems as if  Downton Abbey  scribe, Julian Fellowes is ready to take a stab at it with this adaptation starring Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth. Romeo and Juliet opens in theaters on October 11th.

Selena Gomez Pressed About Justin Bieber, Bails on Interview

We know Selena Gomez likes to be pumped by Justin Bieber. But the singer made it obvious this week: do not pump her for information about Justin Bieber ! Selena gave an interview this week to Chicago’s WGN, presumably to promote her new album. But the host continually peppered Gomez with questions about Bieber, asking if there’s “something about him that we don’t get or we don’t understand” based on his recent “outrageous” behavior. In response… Gomez gave no response! She walked off on her end of the video feed and the screen cut to black. Aubrey Plaza in Fake Daria Movie Trailer: Someone Call Kickstarter!

Daria is back! Well, sort of. Aubrey Plaza, the cartoon’s real life counterpart did a fake trailer for the fake film that undoubtedly everyone in the universe wants to really happen. Aubrey Plaza in Daria Movie Trailer There’s just something about Plaza’s deadpan delivery that fully captures Daria’s sense of ennui. This trailer, centered around Daria’s high school reunion , seems to have everything. Daria’s sister Quinn who is, of course, still the queen bee. Her best friend Jane Lane and older brother Trent Lane with his band Mystik Spiral. Even her self-absorbed father has a mini-breakdown very reminiscent of the MTV cartoon.  The only thing missing was the Trentmobile but one would have to imagine that even it finally died in the ten years that have passed. Will someone please make this movie? Pretty please? Surely this would be a better use of crowdfunding than Lindsay Lohan’s  The Canyons  or  Spike Lee’s Kickstarter ?

The Wolverine Trailer Gets the Lego Treatment

The Wolverin e  opens this weekend so it only seems right that  The Wolverine trailer  get its own Lego version.  Check out the  The Wolverine  Lego trailer below! The Wolverine Lego Trailer Pretty close to the original! Well, as close as you are going to get with little plastic toys. Although I’m pretty sure Deadpool isn’t in the Hugh Jackman film. Nor is the top of R2-D2 going to make an appearance. I think we can pretty much be assured that an umbrella with the Batman logo isn’t going to show up in a Marvel film.  Did I miss any other “special guests”? Ready for  The Wolverine  this weekend? How about some  The Wolverine set photos  or even this  The Wolverine  featurette  to get you in the adamantium fighting mood.

The 2013 Emmy nominations are in. And so is the outrage that accompanies these annual nods. While many TV fans are happy to see Kerry Washington of Scandal or Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad receive love from the Academy, many are equally baffled over those who were left off the list. Anna Chlumsky Gives Birth to a Girl!

My Girl suddenly has a brand new meaning for Anna Chlumsky. The former child star, who has risen back to fame for her role on Veep , gave birth on July 11 to a daughter named Penelope. It is the first baby for Chlumsky and husband Shaun So . “She’s a really good mix between my husband and me,” Chlumsky tells People . “When she’s with him, you see him, and when she’s with me, you see me. She’s a perfect mix. “We think she has my mouth, but it’s hard to tell. Even the color of her eyes, they are different in different light. But she has a really full head of hair.” This has been an especially enjoyable week for Chlumsky: earlier today, she was nominated for an Emmy Award !
