Anna Chlumsky Gives Birth to a Girl!

My Girl suddenly has a brand new meaning for Anna Chlumsky. The former child star, who has risen back to fame for her role on Veep , gave birth on July 11 to a daughter named Penelope. It is the first baby for Chlumsky and husband Shaun So . “She’s a really good mix between my husband and me,” Chlumsky tells People . “When she’s with him, you see him, and when she’s with me, you see me. She’s a perfect mix. “We think she has my mouth, but it’s hard to tell. Even the color of her eyes, they are different in different light. But she has a really full head of hair.” This has been an especially enjoyable week for Chlumsky: earlier today, she was nominated for an Emmy Award !

This new  The Counselor teaser trailer isn’t very different from  The Counselor international trailer , but it does have more Penelope Cruz which is never a bad thing. The Counselor Teaser Trailer Directed by Ridley Scott,  The Counselor marks the second time in 2013 that Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt will appear together. You can check out the first with this  12 Years a Slave trailer . Also starring in the film are Natalie Dormer, Javier Bardem, and Cameron Diaz.  The Counselor opens on October 25th.

Don’t get chills when you watch this  Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom trailer, I dare you. Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom Teaser Trailer See? It’s not possible. Even if you knew nothing of Nelson Mandela, just watching that with Idris Elba’s voiceover is enough.  But we do know the man which makes the anticipation and expectation of this movie all that much higher.  Elba plays Mandela and is joined by Naomie Harris as Winnie Mandela. Based on Nelson Mandela ‘s autobiography of the same name,  Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom opens on January 3rd. Looking for more trailers? Check out the  Out of the Furnace trailer !

Gay Spider-Man? Andrew Garfield Says, Why Not?

Amazing Spider-Man 2 is picking up steam with an EW cover featuring Spidey and Jamie Foxx as Electro , and now star Andrew Garfield is asking everyone who’ll listen, “Why can’t he be gay?” If you’re going by the books, well, MJ is a woman. However, there’s nothing saying they have to stick to the books. There’s been plenty of instances in superhero movies that the storylines don’t even come close to what is/was found in the comics. So that’s not really a valid argument. Garfield goes a little bit further by saying he would like the male version of Mary Jane to be played by Michael B. Jordan.  That’s where I have to throw a flag. As an avid comic book fan and most especially a DC Comics fan, I’d like to say on behalf of a good number of DC Comics fans, we have Michael B. Jordan already mentally cast in the Justice League movie as Cyborg so please back off. Find yourself a new man Andrew Garfield, this one’s taken. Outside of that, I really can’t find a reason to disagree with Garfield. It would make for an interesting turn in the films, that is for sure. Anthony Bourdain Slaps Down Justin Bieber: What a Punk!

Anthony Bourdain – who was on to Paula Deen before the rest of the world was on to Paula Deen – has come out with some VERY harsh words for Justin Bieber. The celebrity chef can stand for many things… but Bieber dared to disrespect a restaurant kitchen in a disgusting video from last year that’s gone viral, leading Bourdain to shred the singer apart on Twitter. “The chef should have put his foot up this young punk’s ass,” Bourdain said of the peeing incident caught on tape , adding: “My dishwasher ain’t cleaning that up, squirrel balls!” The Travel Channel star went on to bash Bieber’s career prospects, Tweeting: “Looking forward to seeing him open for Menudo at the State Fair – in about ten years.” And he concluded his rant with the following hilarious zinger: “In a preemptive strike, I plan to tell my daughter that Justin Beiber tortures puppies.” Sadly, the way Justin is going these days, that might not even be a lie in the near future.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Pleads Not Guilty, Charged With 30 Crimes at Arraignment

Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev appeared in court today, pleading not guilty to 30 offenses including use of a weapon of mass destruction . In his first public appearance since being arrested on April 19, Tsarnaev leaned toward a microphone and said, “Not guilty,” in a Russian accent. The defendant then said not guilty repeatedly about a half-dozen more times. Tsarnaev Arrives at Court It’s not clear when he will face trial, or if he will eventually change his plea. Federal prosecutors are weighing whether to pursue the death penalty for the 19-year-old Tsarnaev, yet it seems highly unlikely that they would not. Authorities say he and an older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, planted two bombs, which killed three people and wounded more than 260 at the marathon. The four days after the April 15 attack culminated in an an epic manhunt. His older brother was killed three days later following a shootout with police. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was later found hiding in a boat in a suburban backyard.

Gretchen Carlson Bids Farewell to Fox and Friends

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is not the only television personality switching jobs. Lost among the hullabaloo of this host leaving The View is the fact that Gretchen Carlson is also making a change: she will go from Fox and Friends to her very own afternoon program, effective this September. “I’m going to move forward in my career,” she said today. “Moving on to the afternoons here at Fox and hosting my own show coming up in September.” Watch Carlson make the announcement below, while her co-worker takes a little jab at The View in the process: Gretchen Carlson Says Goodbye to Fox and Friends

Oldboy Red Band Trailer: It’s Got Potential?

When the Oldboy poster was released the other day, all it did was fan the flames of “will this remake do justice to the original?” With the Oldboy red band trailer out today, the answer is a strong… maybe.  Oldboy Trailer (Red Band) While it doesn’t look as disastrous as it could have been, a lot of remakes are, at first glance it doesn’t have the same feel as the original. Perhaps it’s the lighting or the way the action plays out. It might be nothing more than the fact it’s in English, it just doesn’t seem the same. I will give Josh Brolin this, I buy him as the main character. Didn’t think I would, but this trailer changed my mind. We have until October 25th to discuss this ad nauseam, so for now we’ll just leave it as, it has potential.

Kids, do not try this at home. In a video making its way around the Internet – one that is harder to believe than Kim Kardashian turning down $3 million for the release of her baby photos – an Arizona Cardinals rookie named Robert Gill hops on board a treadmill… … which is moving at 25 miles per hour. Gill can only last for a few seconds, but considering he’s receive a speeding ticket for driving at that rate in most school zones, color us impressed. There has to be a spot for this undrafted 29-year old in the NFL, right? Especially if we include halftime entertainment gigs? 25 MPH Treadmill Use
