Michael Jackson to Daughter Paris: Never Forget!

Michael Jackson’s lasting advice to his only daughter was simple. “He said, ‘If I die tomorrow, always remember what I told you.’ I took his advice, and I remembered everything he told me,” Paris Jackson, 13, told Ellen DeGeneres. The King of Pop shaped Paris’ life in fundamental ways, from her desire to pursue acting to far more important lessons, she reveals in the interview, airing Thursday. Here’s a clip of Paris Jackson on Ellen: Paris Jackson on Ellen “My dad was in the movie Moonwalker; I knew he could sing really well but I didn’t know he could act. I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him,'” says Paris. The female Jackson recently scored her first film role. A family rep confirmed she has a role in the upcoming fantasy movie Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys. “We would do improv together,” she adds. “He would give us little scenarios. He would go, ‘Okay, in this scene you’re going to cry,’ and I’d cry on the spot.” Paris also talks about wearing a mask as a child, which she admits was odd. “I’m like, ‘This is stupid, why am I wearing a mask?’ ” she says. “But I realized the older I got, like, he only tried to protect us. And he’d explain that to us, too.” When she enrolled at the prestigious Buckley School, she appreciated it. “I have a normal childhood. I’m treated the same,” she says. “When I came to [school], they didn’t know who I was. I was like, yes, I have a chance to be normal.” All in all, Paris seems like a smart, grounded, well-raised young woman. For all the negative things said about MJ, he was apparently perennial Father of the Year.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Review: Simply Stunning

Technically and stylistically, David Fincher’s adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo should thrill fans of the Stieg Larsson book trilogy and newcomers alike. Simply put, the director’s dark vision and aesthetic brilliance make for a movie marvel. Casting, of course, plays a huge role in the film’s success, especially when the subject has already been tackled successfully by Swedish filmmakers with Noomi Rapace as the lead. In the U.S. version, Rooney Mara is scary good as Lisbeth Salander. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Trailer (Extended) Mara’s bravado is explosive and the actress deserves serious consideration for an Academy Award nomination. Throughout The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo , it is difficult to take one’s eyes off of Mara, no matter how much takes place around her. Daniel Craig is also outstanding as the co-protagonist, a journalist recently disgraced for libel. For a full breakdown on why this is one of the best films of this (or any) year, just follow the link for Movie Fanatic’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo review !

Steven Spielberg Considers Making ‘Jurassic Park’ 3-D

At press day for ‘The Adventures of Tintin,’ director tells MTV News, ‘The only movie I’m interested in post-converting is the first ‘Jurassic.’ ‘ By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Steven Spielberg Photo: MTV News With so many filmmakers and studios embracing the box-office potential of post-conversion 3-D these days, it seems there are no limits to the conversion and remastering possibilities for older releases. After all, Disney just had great success with its release of “The Lion King” in 3-D , George Lucas is hard at work on the 3-D conversion of his “Star Wars” franchise , and James Cameron is set to release “Titanic 3D” next year. When MTV News caught up with Hollywood icon and Oscar-winner Steven Spielberg recently during the press day for “The Adventures of Tintin,” which was shot in 3-D, we asked whether he’s considered applying post-conversion 3-D technology to any of his classics. “I’ve always said ‘Jurassic Park,’ the first one, would be really good post-converted in 3-D,” he said of his 1993 blockbuster. “I think James Cameron has done the greatest 3-D in history with ‘Avatar’: I don’t think anything has surpassed James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ in terms of the 3-D experience, beyond the fact I love the movie so much, and so I figure that James is going to teach all of us a lesson how to post-convert. If we follow his precepts, more films will be post-converted, but the only movie I’m interested in post-converting is the first ‘Jurassic.’ ” After Cameron’s “Titanic 3D” arrives in theaters in April 2012, perhaps Spielberg will be more set on whether “Jurassic Park 3D” will follow. The director made it clear he doesn’t make those decisions lightly, however, speaking about whether he and George Lucas will make a rumored fifth “Indiana Jones” film . “I would not make a fifth movie to try to prove any point,” he said. “If we get a good story, I’ll make it. If George [Lucas] doesn’t think we should make any more, I’ll listen to him.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Adventures Of Tintin.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Lady Gaga’s Nude Tony Bennett Sketch of the Day

So Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga recorded a duet, and I guess during that recording session, Bennett’s better judgement worked against him, he is old, probably tired, and possibly senile, making the idea of stripping down Gaga like like it’s the movie Titanic….make sense to him…or maybe it was just perversion cuz the older I get, the more eager I am to see everyone naked, ugly enough to pretend to be a tranny or a dude or not…I want to see pussy lip…. Apparently this is the masterpiece, that looks like shit, but that is still better than seeeing Gaga naked…cuz that face is enough to make tits and round ass obsolete….her face is the Iphone, her body….blackberry…if you know what I mean…. Next time Bennett need to get some spread eagled shots…that’s what I’m more into seeing….

‘Men In Black 3’ Trailer: Five Key Scenes

Expect the Will Smith series’ famously wacky aliens and humor, along with some time traveling. By Kevin P. Sullivan Will Smith in “Men in Black 3” Photo: Sony Pictures Twelve years and a purported budget of $215 million later, the men in black will be back for a third go-around. The first trailer for “Men in Black 3” hit Monday (December 12), and Agents K ( Tommy Lee Jones ) and J ( Will Smith ) are up to their same old, same old: rogue aliens, memory-erasing — normal work stuff. We’ve watched the trailer a few times now and have picked out the five scenes you should be paying attention to. Here’s a tip: You should probably brush up on your “Back to the Future” vocabulary. The Graffiti Alien One of the staples of the series has been the routine calls to aliens who have stepped out of their bounds, and it’s always when the series is at its best. The “Men in Black” films have consistently delivered with interesting looking aliens, and the trailer for the third is no exception. Here, we get to see an E.T. who can disguise himself as street art. Expect even more out-of-this-world aliens when the movie hits theaters in May. Neuralizer You know it’s a “Men in Black” movie once the neuralizers come out. Although the trailer mostly sets up the premise for the third movie without exploring the last two acts, the one thing that is perfectly clear is that we shouldn’t expect anything different in a third film. The series seems to stick close to a tight formula, and that’s fine. Let’s just hope they mix it up more this time. “Smiles Like This” While other parts of the trailer might remind us of some of the more tired elements of the series, Smith’s imitation of Jones’ smile brings back memories of why the movies make money. It’s been three years since a Will Smith flick, and now’s definitely the time for that to change.
