Martin Scorsese fans in America will have to take a trip to Germany to get a glimpse of Scorsese artifacts and history first-hand. A Berlin Museum will host an exhibition of all things Scorsese, opening the show just weeks before next month’s 63rd Berlin International Film Festival . The show by the Museum of Film and Television is being billed by organizers as the first exhibition worldwide dedicated to the work of the veteran filmmaker, who shared his belongings for the show. Notable items such as Robert De Niro’s blood-soaked shirt from Cape Fear and worn boxing gloves from Raging Bull are part of the Museum’s exhibition of Scorsese’s half-century career in film. Some of the objects you will see have literally been taken off the walls of my house and my office,” said Scorsese, who also narrates the show’s audio guide, according to The Telegraph . “I hope these objects and the exhibition… help give you an idea or convey my lifelong passion for film.” Scorsese did not attend the gala opening at the Berlin institution because he’s currently editing The Wolf of Wall Street , his fifth film starring Leonard DiCaprio. October’s Hurricane Sandy in the Northeast delayed production of the film. The exhibit also features letters between De Niro and Scorsese about developing characters and sharing sand-drawn storyboards for such films as Taxi Driver and Mean Streets . The show is divided into three parts with one focusing on the filmmaker’s home in the Little Italy neighborhood in Manhattan/ The second delves into Scorsese’s passion as a curator of cinema history and restoration, while the final section spotlights his aesthetic in his feature films and music documentaries. “The one bit of direction he gave us for the exhibition was not to focus too much on violence because his work is often reduced to that,” said co-curator Nils Warnecke. “And it’s true – if you look at the entire body of work, it really represents only a minority of the films.” The exhibit continues in the German capital through May 12 when it will head to Turin and Geneva. Hugh Jackman is way more emo than I thought. But I’ll get to that in a moment. Among the filmmakers who turned up to praise the Les Misérables star at the Museum of the Moving Image’s salute to Jackman in lower Manhattan on Tuesday night was The Dark Knight Rises director Christopher Nolan who grew an enormous Cheshire-Cat grin when I asked him if the Superman reboot he is producing, Man of Steel , would see a cameo by Joseph Gordon-Levitt , or any actor, as Batman, and if he had any objections to a cameo as a continuity move to tie the Supes movie to the 2015 Justice League movie. “I can’t talk about that. You know that,” Nolan said cheerily. I didn’t know that, actually, but now that I do, I feel compelled to point out that, despite the frustratingly inconclusive nature of his answer, it’s not a ‘No.’ Yes, JG-L’s camp shot down the speculation as “entirely false” back in November, but if the idea had been ruled out, wouldn’t Nolan be saying something along those lines, too, so that the fan boys could move on? You know how angry they can get when their casting hopes and dreams are suddenly deflated after being allowed to build for months. The impish smile on Nolan’s face as he issued that no comment also heightened my optimism, especially in the wake of the powerful Man of Steel trailer that’s now burning up the Internet. Zack Snyder’s take on Superman clearly aspires to have the kind of psychological heft and dark undertones that made The Dark Knight trilogy so satisfying. If the movie attains or even approaches those standards, a JG-L Batman cameo would not dishonor Nolan’s work and it would set the bar high for Justice League . No pressure, Warner Bros. Nolan, Hathaway, Weisz Honor Jackman At Museum of The Moving Image Fete Getting back to Jackman, who’s on the fast-track to a Best Actor Oscar nomination , Nolan had much more to say about the actor, who he directed along with Christian Bale in The Prestige . The filmmaker told guests at the Museum of the Moving Image fete that though “ruthless” is not a word usually associated with Jackman, The Wolverine star is indeed “ruthless creatively” and a performer “driven by intense ambition.” The director also said that he looked forward to working with Jackman again, “probably not on a musical though,” despite Jackman’s urging him to direct one. Also praising Jackman were his wife, actress Deborra-Lee Furness, his X-Men Origins: Wolverine co-star Liev Schreiber , director Mike Nichols, former Saturday Night Live cast member Rachel Dratch , who got big laughs mocking Jackman’s Australian dialect and two of his Les Misérables co-stars Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne . In an effusive, rambling speech, Hathaway called Jackman “deep as the sea.” Rachel Weisz offered up an even more intriguing description of the actor, calling him an “incredible cocktail of light and dark.” She also told the most revealing story of the night: During the filming of The Fountain , which was directed by her ex-husband Darren Aronofsky , Weisz said that Jackman gave himself so completely to a scene in which his character realizes he’s going to die that “he sobbed for about half an hour after the cameras stopped” while Weisz comforted him. “He’d gone to the deepest, darkest place a person can go,” she said. “And he wasn’t faking it.” Jackman kept his speech much lighter saying that his Christmas gift wish list was a simple one. All he wanted, he said, was “a movie with me starring in it to open on Christmas Day.” Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter. Follow Movieline on Twitter.

I have no idea what’s going on here in this picture, but I do know that it’s bound to get nerds thinking some very dirty thoughts. Mythbusters host Kari Byron was at The Tech Museum in Silicon Valley, and I guess decided to hop up and try out the machinery. Dear Bossip , I look forward to reading these letters everyday its usually the first thing I do before I even log into work! Well, I have a dilemma on my hands. I’m a 32-year old mother of 3 kids, and I’ve been dating this nice Southern man for about 1 year. I recently introduced him to my children and they really like him. He is a great guy, family oriented, gainfully employed, great sense of humor, basically all the things I’ve asked for, BUT he is dumb as a brick. I don’t mean to be mean but I’m serious. Even to the point where my 15-year old has given him the side eye at some of the things he says. Don’t get me wrong I’m no scholar myself. I do okay though, and when I need too I Google or right-click something I’m willing to take the time to learn. But, this man just decides to use my brain instead. He’s always asking, “What should I say?” Or, “How do you spell this?” It’s getting to be so annoying!!! I don’t know if you have ever argued with a special brained person, but let me just say I’d rather beat my head against a wall. It’s starting to affect the way I look at him as a possible mate for the future. But, as the old saying goes I don’t want to throw the baby out with the bath water. Am I being too picky? What do I do? – Brained Burned Out Dear Ms. Brained Burned Out , LMBAO! Well, when you asked for this great guy who is family oriented, gainfully employed, with a great sense of humor, did you think to ask for someone who is smart, intelligent, wise, and educated? LOL! I’m from the school that you get what you ask for. So, if you’re not specific in your request from the universe, then you will end up with what you got. If you just want a man, any man, then you will get any man. That is why so many people end up in the relationships they have. They are not specific in the requests for the type of man they need. If you don’t expand your own ideas of a mate, then you will get what you ask for. If you don’t ask for a single, eligible, spiritual, loving, successful, gainfully employed, smart man who believes in monogamy, and who is able to express his love, desires, wants, and needs, and who desires and willing to be in love, desires and willing to be committed, desires and willing to grow and become a better man, then you will not meet or get this type of man. Be specific in your request for the man, or woman, you need in your life. And, believe me when I tell you this, people show up in your life to teach you lessons, to help you grow, and to become a better you. And, this man may be the one to help you grow, teach you a lesson, and experience something you’ve never experienced before. LOOK FOR THE LESSON IN THIS, AND IN THIS RELATIONSHIP. He just may be the man of your dreams if you’re willing to invest in him. Now, I’m not saying you have to stay in the relationship with him. If you’re not compatible, and you feel you are not growing, and he’s not helping you to grow, then get out of the relationship. But, you can encourage him. Engage him. Invite him to sit at the computer with you and learn as you’re teaching him. Recommend books to him. Take him to the museum, and on other cultured events where couples can learn and do things together. Make your date nights educational, yet, exciting for you mentally, physically, and emotionally. Take up a cooking class together. Hell, you can even learn a foreign language together. The point I’m making is that your man appears to be willing to learn and to be shaped. The fact that he is asking questions says it all. He wants to know. And, I’m sure he knows he’s not smart as a whip. Besides, Ms. Honey, if he is everything you want and desire in a man, but lacks the brain smarts then shape that man into the man you want and need for him to be. Help him to see his potential. Help him to realize his greatness. This is just an investment in him, and in your relationship. And, think about it, he’s not cheating on you, misusing you, abusing you, got another woman pregnant, and he doesn’t make you feel inadequate or unworthy. You said he is a great guy. Then make him wonderful! Yes, it can become redundant, overwhelming, and a pain in the a** when you’re constantly helping him with something. You’ve been doing it for over a year. So, if you’re not willing to invest in him, and the relationship, and he’s really becoming annoying, then imagine if you stay another year, 5 years, or 10 years. It will only get worse and you will resent him, thus, his mere presence will be an annoyance for you. You will start to belittle him and embarrass him in public. You will get joy out of making him feel stupid. And, that is not healthy or smart. So, get out now if you don’t want this to be the rest of your life with him. But, just know that the next time you ask for a man, be more specific in your request: SMART, INTELLIGENT, WISE, and HUMBLE WITH HIS INTELLIGENCE. You don’t want to get a smart a** who knows every damn thang! LOL! – Terrance Dean Hey Bossip Fam, what do you think? Share your opinions and thoughts below! Look, I’m sure this Jai Courtney dude from Spartacus playing John McClane’s beefy son/action heir is great and all, but there’s just one reason to watch any Die Hard movie, and his name is Bruce MF’ing Willis . So check out the first trailer for A Good Day To Die Hard even though it takes a full 30 seconds of overly edited shots of warehouses and ambiguously visible bad men with guns to get to Bruno’s familiar smirk and the explosion-y goodness that follows. A Good Day To Die Hard catches up with Willis’s McClane as he and his estranged son (Courtney) fight terrorists in Russia, or something. John Moore of Behind Enemy Lines and Max Payne fame directs from a script by Skip Woods, of Swordfish and Hitman fame, so we’ll see how this one goes. The film hits theaters February 4, 2013.
