Photo by Jim Bennett/Getty Images Vince Staples Is Getting Into Acting With New Lead Film Role Vince Staples is so much more than a rapper, and now he’s adding even more to his resume. Not only is he a musician and Sprite’s number one ambassador, but not, he’s getting into the acting world as well. The Long Beach native has just landed his first leading role in the film, Punk , which is going to be directed by Richard Hughes, who will also be making his debut as a director. Punk is said to be centered around the protagonist Peter, played by Staples, who goes on a road trip with some free-spirited people after receiving some disappointing news via a rejection letter. While embarked on said trip, Peter will learn that he contrary to what he might have believed, he doesn’t really know the people around him as well as he previously thought. He ends up finding out while on the trip that he is on the road with a group of bank robbers and someone who is on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Braden Aftergood will produce the movie. Aftergood has previously produced movies including 2012’s Battleship and this year’s Siberia . Kavanaugh-Jones worked on this year’s Insidious: The Last Key . This wouldn’t be Vince’s first time working within the movie world. The Long Beach rapper has had his music featured in the film Creed with the track “Waiting For My Moment” along with his contribution to the Black Panther soundtrack. Aside from his flourishing acting career, the rapper has just wrapped up a tour across the United States with Childish Gambino. As of now, no release date has been revealed for Vince’s upcoming leading role, but be on the lookout for Punk to make it to the big screen sometime soon.

And the desire to be cuddled up, spending time with the one you like is at an all time high. In millennial lingo, we summarize all those feels with one term: Cuffing Season. It feels like we were just flipping burgers on the grill for Labor Day — now folks are scanning their recent dating rosters to see who’s good enough to spend the majority of their time with for the next eight months or so. One Twitter user joked , “It’s cuffing season baby. time to lose ur sense of self and merge identities w another person bc it’s cold outside.” While some folks are scrambling to decide between their top three eligible candidates — some of us are just fine staying aboard the “single and lovin’ it” train. Bustle recently did an article on why Cuffing Season is an awesome time to be single, and it brought up many valid points. Heather Ebert , a dating and relationship expert at WhatsYourPrice.com, told the site, “Cuffing season is, in part, a result of societal pressure dating. A lot of it has to do with singles not wanting to show up alone when they go home for the holidays. Some people want to be showered with gifts … others just want to cuddle up next to someone to stay warm.” She added, “It’s easy to get caught up in the hype of cuffing season and rush to settle down for the winter. But those romances are unlikely to outlast the cold because they’re rushed and usually not met with intentions of lasting any longer. Instead of focusing on settling down for the last part of the year, spend some time on yourself and with your family.” It’s not just the experts who say Cuffing Season is nothing but hype. Shy_Charles recently tweeted, “Not being funny but cuffing season isn’t really a thing, is it? Like yeah the nights draw in and it’s Christmas and that but you’ve got Valentine’s straight after and then summer romances after that! Every season is cuffing season, let’s just be serious.” Let’s do something a little different this go round, and celebrate the uncoupled and uncuffed this year with seriously Anti-Cuffing Season songs. In regards to the NFL versus Kaepernick, Rihanna is “I’m With Kaep” through and through. “The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year’s performer in Atlanta,” an insider told Us Weekly . “They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. Out of sight, out of mind? For Rob Kardashian, it’s been closer to: Out of sight, out of mind… out of those XXL jeans and into a basic large. According to a new Entertainment Tonight report, the former reality star is thriving now that he’s stepped far away from the spotlight. As you’ve likely noticed, Rob is not appearing on his family’s E! series this season and he’s no longer sharing anything on social media. And such a private existence is serving the father of one extremely well. “Getting out of the spotlight was so important for Rob,” this source says, noting that leaving Instagram has also been especially positive for him: “He needed to completely change his life, things were spiraling out of control for him and his health and relationships were suffering. He needed to refocus.” This same insider estimates that Rob has lost between 30 and 50 pounds over the past few months. Because the star suffers from Diabetes, this is more than just an asthetic improvement. It means his quality of life has improved and his general health is in a far better place than it was during the heyday of his fame. There were fears in the past that Rob’s awful diet would literally lead to his death , as we detailed just over a year ago how Kardashian’s love of milkshakes had caused his weight to balloon. Due to his weight gain and inactivity at the time, Rob started to develop insulin resistance, which is a very dangerous condition for someone afflicted with Diabetes. That was then, however. “His life is completely different now,” this source explains, adding of where Rob’s head it at these days; “He’s got his priorities in check. First and foremost he is there for Dream and he knows that to do so he needs to be healthy.” Indeed, Rob’s daughter with Blac Chyna will soon turn two years old. She’s a total cutie – and, whatever you want to say about how Rob and Chyna treated each other during their romance, it seems like both parents are very dedicated to their child’s well-being. This report also says that Rob has been spending a lot of time with both his siblings and their kids as well. There may now be bad blood between Taylor Swift and many Republicans, but the singer knew there would be trouble as soon as she posted to Instagram last week. Nevertheless, she came out of the non-political woods and sent a message to young voters who think that a change in the direction of the country can only happen in their wildest dreams. Yes, she received backlash. But Swift has clearly shaken it off and is now prepared to receive any more. This is all a long-winded way of saying that the artist shared two new photos on Instagram today, along with a very important caption affixed to each. “Something I wish I knew about when I was 18 and voting for the first time: EARLY VOTING,” Swift wrote along the images above and below. She added: “It makes it so quick and easy to go and cast your vote before November 6. Early voting starts TODAY in Tennessee and goes to Nov 1.” Taylor even included with these words a link to a Vote.org page that offers information on early voting across the country. Swift, of course, remained notoriously quiet about her political affiliations and preferences during the 2016 Presidential Election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. She came under an unusual amount of fire for this indecision as well. Apparently inspired to put an end to the misogyny/insanity/racism/total and complete chaos under the Donald Trump administration, however, Wfit stunned the world several days ago when she posted an endorsement of two Democrats in Tennessee on her social media page. This is what Swift wrote at the time: I’m writing this post about the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th, in which I’ll be voting in the state of Tennessee. In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now. I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country. I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG. I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of color is terrifying, sickening and prevalent I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me. She voted against equal pay for women. She voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry. These are not MY Tennessee values. I will be voting for Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives. Please, please educate yourself on the candidates running in your state and vote based on who most closely represents your values. For a lot of us, we may never find a candidate or party with whom we agree 100% on every issue, but we have to vote anyway In response to Taylor’s unexpected foray into the world of politics, thousands and thousands of people registered to vote . Despite endlessly promoting and bragging about Kanye West’s love of President Trump, however, Republicans for some reason decided to slam Swift for expressing her view. They dismissed her as an out-of-touch and ignorant musician who is rich and famous and who therefore cannot relate to the common voter in any way, shape or form. This is what Trump himself said about the pop star: Donald Trump on Taylor Swift: She’s a Moron and I Now Hate Her Music! But Swift appears to be undeterred. As she accepted the artist of the year trophy at the American Music Awards last week, Swift again reminded her fans to vote. “I just wanna say to the fans … you have been so nice to me and fun, and you’re so funny and you’re so cool and so loyal,” she said om stage, adding: “Every time that you have made me lucky enough to ever get to stand on a stage and have something really sparkly in my hands … it means something different. “This time, I just want you to know it means encouragement … for me to be better, work harder and to make you guys proud as much as I possibly can. “This award and every single award given out tonight were voted on by the people, and you know what else is voted on by the people is the midterm elections on Nov. 6. “Get out and vote.
