It was a year that saw the Seattle Seahawks destroy the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl, along with Germany bring up another World Cup trophy. It was also a year in which we sadly said goodbye to an iconic comedian and, tragically, said hello to a group known as ISIS. Ebola resurfaced. Racial tension escalated. And celebrities across all industries dumped ice cold water on their heads in order to raise millions for an important cause. Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar Successfully Help Overturn Anti-Discrimination Law

Back in August, Michelle Duggar helped fight an anti-discrimination bill in her hometown of Fayetteville, Arkansas by lending her voice to a robo-calling campaign urging residents to express their displeasure with Ordinance 119. The ordinance was designed to prevent businesses and landlords from discriminating against potential employees and tenants on the basis of race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. Michelle’s robo-calls stated that the bill would enable “males with past child predator convictions” to “enter private areas that are reserved for women and girls.” In addition to lending their names and celebrity status to the efforts to have the bill overturned, Michelle and Jim Bob donated $10,000 each to politicians who pledged to fight Ordinance 119. Earlier today, the bill was overturned in the Arkansas state senate by a narrow margin of 52-48. The Duggars involvement in fighting the ordinance resulted in an accusations of “LGBTQ fear-mongering,” and a popular petition to have 19 Kids and Counting canceled , due to perceived hate speech. Michelle launched a counter-petition to save the show, but given the Duggars growing popularity, it’s unlikely that TLC ever seriously considered axing what’s slowly become the network’s flagship series. Of course, there’s no way of knowing if the bill would have been overturned without the Duggars’ intervention, but given how close the final vote was, this seems to be yet another indication of the family’s growing political influence. Teresa Giudice Gives Joe and Melissa Gorga the Cold Shoulder Before Prison

In a few weeks,  Teresa Giuidice will be in prison , trying to figure out if her mean girl, blowhard antics will be effective behind bars. Before she goes, however, Teresa will have the opportunity to spend the holiday season with her family. Well…part of her family, anyway. While  Melissa Gorga’s reaction to Teresa’s sentence  was surprisingly compassionate, there’s reportedly still plenty of bad blood between the Giudice and Gorga clans. In fact, sources say Teresa has blown off an invitation from her brother and sister-in-law to spend Christmas together as a family: “While most people would want to spend their last Christmas home with all of their family, Teresa has been extremely vocal about the fact that she will not spend the holidays with Melissa or Joe,” a source tells Radar Online. “Truly, she can’s stand them, and wants no ‘last holiday’ memories to be made with them.” If you  watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online , then you know the rift between the Giudices and Gorgas runs deep, so we can’t say we blame Teresa for bailing on the festivities. Besides, Teresa’s been sentenced to 15 months, and she’ll probably serve less than 12, so really this is just her “last” Christmas until next Christmas. Jill Duggar vs. Jessa Duggar: Feud Revealed on Twitter?!

You might think that Jill and Jessa Duggar would be as close as two sisters can be. After all, they’re only a year apart in age, they’re both newly married,  Jill just got pregnant , and Jessa is sure to make her own announcement any day. And yet, a close inspection of Jill and Jessa’s Twitter pages reveals that there might be some bad blood between the two newlyweds. While Jessa follows Jill and her new husband Derick Dillard on the site, Jill does not follow Jessa or her hubby Ben Seewald. That may seem like a pretty minor offense, but it’s worth noting that Jill follows just about everyone else who has ties to her family. Some have pointed out that in the book Growing Up Duggar: It’s All About Relationships,  Jessa’s siblings briefly acknowledge her role as the most difficult of the sisters. In one somewhat humorous passage, Jana Duggar opens up about being repeatedly kicked by Jessa and responding by giving her a jewelry box as a gift. (The incident pretty much sums up Jana’s role in the Duggar family .) Could it be that Jessa was such a relentless bully as a kid that Jill is still unable to get over it? Maybe. But maybe Jill just totally spaced on following her sister on Twitter. We may never know for sure, but one thing is for certain – if the rumors about Jana and Tim Tebow are true, Jill and Jessa are both gonna hate her. Mariah Carey Isolated Vocals: Released! Kind of Rough in Live NBC Performance!

A video purporting to contain the isolated vocals from Mariah Carey’s NBC performance last night has leaked online, and it appears to be authentic. it also appears to be fair to below average by Mariah standards. Mariah Carey Isolated Vocals The video was first posted on a site called The Concourse. The alleged isolated vocals, which we grant you are much better than these Britney Spears isolated vocals , are not what you would expect at certain parts. Mariah performed her massive holiday hit “All I Want for Christmas is You” live on the network, and by and large does alright during the bulk of the song. When she gets up into that upper register, however? Let’s just say that higher octave range is a little shaky. Compare it to the version that aired on TV with full accompaniment and see what you think: Mariah Carey NBC Performance Mimi had upset some fans when she failed to show up to pre-tape her performance the previous day, which she had originally planned on doing. She reportedly left her crew out to dry (or wet, in the cold rain) for several hours while reportedly handling a call about estranged husband Nick Cannon. She later apologized, Tweeting “[the] situation beyond my control. I apologize to all that showed up, you know that I would never want to disappoint you.” She went on to open the holiday show live instead, with a group of dancing kids behind her, a full band, and presumably an accompanying vocal track. If you thought the Preachers Of LA just weren’t enough… Oxygen Network Announces “Preachers Of Detroit” Reality Series Oxygen is at it again with a new cast of men (and WOMEN) of the cloth with new issues, new drama, in an all new city. Via Oxygen : Oxygen Media expands the network’s popular franchise and heads to Motown with the season premiere of “Preachers Detroit,” on Wednesday, February 18 at 10 PM ET/PT. The series focuses on powerful themes of faith, family, and friendship as these seven men and women of the cloth share their lives, transformations and triumphs in and out of the pulpit in Detroit, Michigan. The prominent pastors include: Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, Bishop Corletta Vaughn, Pastor Tim Alden, Pastor David Bullock, Bishop-Elect Clarence Langston, Pastor Don William Shelby Jr. and Evangelist Dorinda Clark-Cole. “Preachers of Detroit” showcases the unique perspective of men and women of God in their places of faith as well as throughout their lives outside of the church. Despite rumors that Teresa Giudice is living on coffee and wine these days, the felonious Housewife still thinks of herself as a highly skilled chef. In fact, sources say Teresa is so confident in her kitchen skills that she’s been telling friends about her plans to host her own Bravo cooking show after she gets released from prison. The problem is, the network that made her famous has no interest in continuing to work with Queen T. While Teresa’s legal woes might mean that she’s good for ratings ( Giudice is currently filming a new season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey ), Andy Cohen and company are reportedly pissed that she threw Bravo under the bus during her trial: “There are a lot of bad feelings where Teresa and Bravo are concerned,” a source tells Radar Online. “The network feels used and was stunned Teresa said in court documents that the show was a sham.” Yes, Teresa accused Bravo of exploiting her and attempted to convince the judge in her case that the show was scripted and edited to make her look like a loose cannon. It didn’t work, obviously, and now Teresa may have destroyed her most valuable business partnership. Chris Soules Pregnancy Test Drama: Did New Bachelor Knock Someone Up in the Fantasy Suite?!

Last week, ABC released a promo for The Bachelor that played up the show’s unintentionally comedic aspects, while teasing a few The Bachelor spoilers . Today, the network shared a teaser that focuses on the soap opera-caliber drama that’s made the cutthroat romantic competition series such an addictive reality TV staple over the years. The Bachelor Pregnancy Test Promo it’s an understatement to say there’s a lot going on in this trailer: We get our first extended look at Chris Soules as The Bachelor ; we learn producers have brought in more wannabe-fiancees than ever before…But the real surprise comes at the very end: As the show’s signature, schlocky voice-over promises a season “pregnant with possibility,” the camera closes in on a discarded home pregnancy test… The results screen has been blurred out, so it’s totally possible that one of the ladies simply experienced a false alarm, but the dramatic tease certainly has the Internet abuzz with speculation.  The new promo has raised a number of questions about this upcoming season: Would the show go on if one of the ladies got knocked up? Will the female fans who fell in love with Chris after he got dumped by Andi Dorfman  feel the same way if he gets some rando pregnant? Doesn’t ABC stock that damn Fantasy Suite with condoms?! Michelle Duggar Launches Counter-Petition: SAVE 19 Kids & Counting From Anti-Marriage Foes!!

With critics calling for TLC to cancel her reality show, Michelle Duggar has launched a counter-petition to save 19 Kids and Counting from cancelation. A Change (dot) org petition to cancel 19 Kids and Counting was actually started earlier this year, after Michelle made controversial headlines politically. She allegedly recorded a robo-call allegedly asking Fayetteville, Ark. residents to vote to repeal a law that prevents discrimination. Yes, that prevents it. The law in question condemns property and business owners to oust or fire people based on gender identity. In other words, transgender Americans. Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar then sparked an even bigger public controversy this month when they invited fans to share kissing photos on Facebook . After they reportedly took down submissions from gay couples, they faced backlash online, and the aforementioned petition began to widely circulate. Both incidents are rooted in the family’s support for “traditional” marriage, and form the crux of the rebuttal petition Michelle is promoting to save the show. “The Duggar Family is under attack from anti-marriage advocates for standing for traditional marriage,” the Ipetitions (dot) com note posted by Michelle reads. “We commend The Duggar Family for their brave stand in defending marriage as ordained by God between one man and one woman,” the petition goes on. “No individual’s sexual behavior and chosen lifestyle has the right to redefine marriage. Sign our petition today to let TLC know that you support the Duggars.” 13 Biggest Duggar Family Scandals 1. As of this posting, it has about 6,000 signatures. The petition to make TLC axe the series now has 130,000, although it has been online since August 20. The scandal is not the first surrounding the Arkansas family, and it almost certainly won’t be the last. The question is whether or not the network will cave. The couple did not address the Facebook controversy specifically, but recently put out a statement saying they will always stand for truth and values . Don’t expect them to back down, in other words. I guess in preparation of the Victoria’s Secret Infomercial America is already excited about watching, because I guess they don’t have access to internet porn, or really anything hotter than a bunch of model walking the runway in family friendly, because it is primetime, bikinis….a television event we can all agree is a fucking scam that no one should be excited about….unless you live in a fucking Trailer park and Network TV, and Malls is all you fucking know, Karlie Kloss and Candice Swanepoel were commissioned to release some Behind the Scenes pics, because that’s what their contracts stipulate, and without Victoria’s Secret, Karlie wouldn’t be scissoring Taylor Swift, and Candice would be dying of AIDS back home in South Africa, if she survived being shot by her legless boyfriend…the pics suck, but she’s wet…
