Thank you, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The teenagers have given us a reason to stop thinking about their mother’s vagina . These sisters have gone viral with a video that depicts them, along with pals Maddy and Spencer, lip-syncing to Katy Perry’s “Firework.” It’s actually refreshing to see the reality stars act their age for a change. Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner – Firework This is not the first time members of the family have covered Katy. Watch them all make a mockery out of “ET right now !
Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans hit up a parlor on Hollywood Boulevard Sunday night and got a tattoo bearing her son’s name, Jace, on her wrist. After a trip to McDonald’s, the troubled North Carolina native, 19, decided to get some ink. Evans was later snapped with pals, rocking the tat. The train wreck should have gotten 8/24 and 9/9 tattooed on her wrists instead. Those are the next two court dates she has to look forward to. Jenelle Evans looking baked out of her gourd as usual . Later this month, Jenelle faces a hearing for her alleged probation violation. Reports say Evans tested positive for THC in mid-July, having smoked the weed. In September, she’ll be in court for her assault on Britany Truett . Maybe instead of getting a tattoo to show how much she supposedly loves Jace, she should actually get her $h!t together and act like a good parent. Just a suggestion. Moron.
NBC is bringing back The Voice after Super Bowl XLVI on February 5. Following a successful first season of the singing competition won by Javier Colon , the network began plans for a second campaign almost immediately. Reports that it would follow NBC’s presentation of the Super Bowl surfaced last month. Now the Peacock has confirmed the season premiere schedule. With its entertaining interplay between four big-name judges, unusual format and array of talent, the program became a sleeper hit for NBC this spring. The Voice will air for one hour after the Super Bowl on February 5, 2012, then return for a two-hour episode the next night (Monday), according to EW . That will lead into the season premiere of the musical drama Smash .
NBC’s racy retro drama The Playboy Club has yet to hit airwaves, but that isn’t stopping the killjoys at the Parents Television Council from protesting it. The watchdog organization, which was also the driving force behind the 2004 “Nipplegate” Super Bowl controversy , recently sent a letter to every NBC local affiliate urging them to boycott the series. In its letter, the PTC slams The Playboy Club for “glamorizing porn,” citing (unnamed and unverifiable) studies saying that pornography causes divorce, depression, financial ruin, and the general downfall of Western civilization. It then states that the PTC will be “very carefully reviewing each episode and will urge its members to file complaints” and offers this thinly veiled threat to affiliates who air the series: Please be mindful that it is the affiliate, not the network, that will ultimately bear the financial burden of an FCC fine should any of the content be found to violate broadcast decency laws. Never mind that, as a primetime series on a major network, the odds that The Playboy Club will actually contain nudity are infinitesimally slim. NBC’s Salt Lake City affiliate has already rejected the program, though it remains to be seen if other local stations will follow suit. Poor Playboy Club – too racy for Middle America, not racy enough for Mr. Skin. Is the Amber Heard star vehicle doomed before it even airs? Will you be tuning in this fall? Let us know in the comments!

Now that NFL lockout has ended, EA ‘able to flip the switch on roster updates pretty easily,’ rep says. By Russ Frushtick Madden NFL 12 Photo: EA Sports What would the world be like without football? Thankfully, fans needn’t concern themselves with such a horrible scenario (at least for another 10 years), as NFL owners and the NFL Players Association came to an agreement to end a months-long standoff that might have cancelled the 2011-2012 season. Because the lockout ended early enough, there will be no impact on the season itself, but what about this year’s installment of “Madden”? “Madden NFL 12” is scheduled to be released in about a month, but video games are often finalized months before they hit store shelves. Does that mean anyone who buys “Madden” will be playing with out-of-date rosters from before the lockout was even settled? Anthony Stevenson, the director of marketing for “Madden NFL 12,” discussed how the development team is planning to keep everything up-to-date for fans. “From the game’s standpoint, what everyone wants to know is rosters,” he said. “You’re taking what historically would be five months of offseason activity and you’re condensing it into what would be as little as two to three weeks. So, there are going to be a lot of roster moves. And these aren’t inconsequential moves: There’s Donovan McNabb, Kevin Kolb; these are moves that could shape a division. But we’re fortunate that we’re able to flip the switch on roster updates pretty easily.” Mike Young, the game’s creative director, confirmed that the rosters would be up-to-date not only at the beginning of the season, but also straight on through to the Super Bowl. “Our ratings people and our roster guys are going to be really, really busy,” he said. “Day one, anybody with an online connection is going to have all these moves and up-to-date rosters. All season long, we’ll support that really well.” Young confirmed that while the rosters and player stats will be up-to-date, EA won’t be able to implement all of the just-agreed-upon rules. “Some of the new rules we will not get in the game this year. Unfortunately, [the end of the lockout] happened too late,” he explained. “It’s kind of a complicated system to change with something like a patch.” As for which new rules didn’t make the cut, Young revealed, “The rookie cap stuff, a lot of the business part of football. So your Franchise mode will be using last year’s rules for another year. That was the only disappointment. But, as far as rosters, I think we’re the best at having those up-to-date.” Those roster updates will require an Internet connection for your console. If you don’t have your console hooked up to the Internet, Young suggested taking advantage of nearby gamers. “Take it over to your friend’s house, plug it in,” he recommended. “There are a lot of free trials for Xbox Live and PSN [PlayStation Network] is free. Update your game, save it to your hard drive, and bring it home. You need the rosters!” Certainly, fans who are just thrilled to have an NFL season will consider updated rosters the cherry on top. Could Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham be making the jump to scripted TV? The 20-year-old single mom auditioned for a part in ABC’s new Charlie’s Angels reboot, and according to her Twitter page, she got the gig! “YAY!!! I MET GREAT people at a casting. & im going to be in the New Charlie Angels movie! Good luck to the other amazing Casties :),” she blogged Sunday, mixing up the fact that the reboot will be on TV and not the big screen. The ABC series — starring Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh and Rachael Taylor — held an open casting call Sunday near Abraham’s Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. home. However, the call was to fill paid extra roles, rather than main character slots. The Miami Herald reports 1,000 locals turned up to the casting call for the revival of the 70s series, set to premiere September 22. Reached for comment by E! Online, the network confirmed that Abraham applied for a spot, but declined to comment further. http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/07/17/2318356/local-casting-call-for-charlies.html
Vinny Guadagnino returned to Jersey Shore over the weekend, a little over a week after getting into an altercation with a cast member and bolting. Reports say The Situation, who walked off the set in a similar huff, is also back into the fold. But the network is far from pleased with their antics. MTV has instituted a “zero tolerance policy” for the Jersey Shore stars, threatening to fire any cast member who even thinks of going AWOL. TMZ says the network is serious this time. Walk off the show again and you’re fired, your contract will be terminated, period. No exceptions. With two cast members nearly jumping ship in the same week, MTV wants to reassert a degree of authority and show the cast who’s in charge. Of course, it’s an empty threat if they won’t back it up, or the cast doesn’t care. The Sitch firmly believes he doesn’t need the show anymore. For now, all is well in Seaside … but give it a few hours. [Photo: WENN.com]
Since releasing her video for “Man Down,” Rihanna has been at the center of a firestorm. Conservative groups are up in arms because of the visuals plot featuring rape and murder. Rihanna gets raped in the Anthony Mandler directed video and winds up killing her attacker. What’s crazy about all of this is most of these conservatives-whether they realize or not-are defending rapists. Nevertheless, Rihanna isn’t the first pop star to cause controversy with her music video. The Urban Daily is counting down the ten most controversial music videos by women. 10. Ashanti – The Way That I Love You For her comeback single, Ashanti made fellas think twice about cheating. In the clip, she realizes she’s not the only one and has visions of killing her beau. Many believed art was imitating life because rumors swirled about her real life boyfriend, Nelly , constantly stepping out on her. If those allegations are true, he got the hint and appeared in her next video as the loving and trust worthy partner. 9. Christina Aguilera ft. Redman – Dirrty Christina Aguilera debuted as the pop princess with a huge voice and wholesome image. Not happy with being the good girl, Christina threw on some as**less chaps and a bikini shocked the world with this video. The public’s main gripe was the message she was sending to young girls. They felt Aguilera was entirely too talented to reduce herself to booty popping and salacious lyrics. Christina responded by saying, “This is me. No glass and no pretense.” Whatever you say, Christina. 8. Britney Spears – Baby One More Time By 1998, pop music was at a standstill. Nothing interesting was happening until a fifteen year old Britney debuted her music video with her dressed as a Catholic school girl dressing and dancing provocatively. Many parents condemned the record company for selling sex with such a blatant disregard for the messages being sent to their young audience. The only issue was the young Spears came up with the concept herself, knowing it would get her the attention needed to become a world class pop star. She was right. So what does that say about us, the people who ate it up? 7. Ciara – Ride The clip from Ciara’s first single from her latest disc stirred up the drama for many reasons. First, the racy lyrics already caused some women to shy away from the song. However, men were drawn in by the overtly sexual depictions of Ciara. Riding a mechanical bull in a wet t-shirt and hot pants and wearing a itty bitty swimsuit and a fur coat had the guys drooling. My mom saw the video and responded, “All she’s missing is a pole!” BET deemed the video so explicit, it was banned from the network and became an internet sensation. 6. Fiona Apple – Criminal In 1997, Fiona Apple slithered onto our radar with her hit, “Criminal.” The then barely legal singer’s video featured the aftermath of a wild party. Apple is seen in various states of undress. The heroin chic look thought up by director, Mark Romanek , was criticized relentlessly. The heat became so much for Fiona, she denounced her own video in an acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs the following year. Criminal, indeed. 5. Lady Gaga and Beyonce – Telephone Illuminati conspiracy theories aside, “Telephone” was one of the most talked about videos in recent history because some didn’t understand it. Others thought it was too sexy for television. The rest of us just enjoyed watching Beyonce . Showcasing lesbian acts, murder, and nudity, Lady Gaga and Beyonce do their take on Thelma & Louise. While many were distraught over the themes, there was a poignant moment. The conversation about trust is absolutely true. 4. Madonna – Justify My Love If controversy was a man, Madonna would be its wife. Never has anyone conjured more scrutiny for images in music videos than The Material Girl. For this 1992 clip, Madonna bucked at conservatives with images of homosexuality, bondage, and voyuerism. Once MTV banned the video for its sexual nature, Madonna capitalized on the media storm by releasing it on VHS in conjunction with her book aptly titled, SEX. Lenny Kravitz , who wrote the song, is still making money off that. Madonna – Justify my Love from OfDreamAndDrama on Vimeo . 3. Erykah Badu – Window Seat Erykah Badu has always been the artist to push boundaries in the R&B genre. Her videos are thought provoking pieces of art. This is especially true for “Window Seat.” A video depicting Badu strolling the same path in downtown Dallas as JFK rode the day he was killed, while stripping her clothes off. The reactions in the clip are real. Erykah was fined for her body baring stunt. In case you didn’t know, the concept is Erykah is taking off the layers of learned behavior until she is free enough to think critically on her own. When she is finally able to do so, she’s killed because society doesn’t want us to think differently than the majority. That backside wasn’t bad to look at either. Erykah Badu “Window Seat” from triggerhappy on Vimeo . 2. Madonna – Like A Prayer Burning crosses, making love to saints, and a Black man playing said saint. Oh my! The Pepsi generation wasn’t ready for Madonna’s ideas. She lost her Pepsi endorsement after the video aired. Back in the 1980s, it was still very taboo for interracial couples to be shown on television. Blacks were never portrayed as biblical icons in that time. As forward thinking as this video is, I’m throwing some shade for the burning crosses. Every time I see a burning cross, I think the KKK is about to do me like Emmett Till. What were you trying to say to the Black community, Madge? Inquiring minds still want to know. 1. M.I.A. – Born Free M.I.A. has been pushing buttons with her artistry since bursting on the scene in the early 2000s. In the clip for “Born Free,” she holds a mirror up to America to show them how stupid we look as we randomly attack people for being Muslims. Only in her video, soldiers were attacking all redheads. Soldiers were seen kicking in random apartment doors just to see if the residents were redheads. If they weren’t they just left. If they were, they would be put in in prison and tortured. It’s a no brainer why American music fans hated this video. Who wants to be shown how much of a jackass they’ve been?
