The 26-year-old singer wed decorator and businessman Sam Cooper on Saturday at St. James the Great Church in Gloucestershire, England. The nuptials weren’t all the couple had to celebrate: according to People magazine , the groom confirmed to several wedding guests that the newlyweds are expecting a child. Allen and Cooper began dating in the summer of 2009. They got engaged while vacationing in Indonesia in December. In November 2010 Allen suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage, her second. Shortly thereafter she was hospitalized with septicaemia , a dangerous infection characterized by the presence of bacteria in the blood. But on Saturday her troubles seemed far behind her. The singer looked radiant in her long-sleeve lace gown by French designer Delphine Manivet. Manivet spoke about the “It’s Not Me, It’s You” singer’s pregnancy to British paper The Telegraph, saying, “It’s beautiful that she is pregnant, and I am very happy for her. She is very happy about that — it is something wonderful. “For me, and for her too, when you are pregnant you want to show that, but also be respectful, so the dress was perfect for her, for that moment,” the designer added. The bride was given away by her father, actor Keith Allen, and gripped a bouquet of white roses as she exited the church with Cooper.
