Demi Lovato Shares Swimsuit Pic, Addresses Eating Disorder

When it comes to showing off her cleavage, it’s clear Demi Lovato has no issue. Seriously, no… issue… at… all . But the artist makes it clear in a new Instagram caption that she does sometimes feel self-conscious about a different body part. On Thursday, the 25-year-old singer opened up about the ongoing challenges of recovering from an eating disorder, along with the constant feelings of doubt she often has about her appearance. But which she is trying her hardest to overcome. Along with the following picture, Lovato wrote this caption: “So, I’m insecure about my legs in this picture but I’m posting it because I look so happy and this year I’ve decided I’m letting go of my perfectionism and embracing freedom from self criticism.” Lovato, of course, has long been very candid about her past struggle with a drug addiction and also with anorexia. She’s come a long way. But her battle will never really be over. Continued Lovato in her latest inspiring message: “Learning to love my body the way it is is challenging but life changing. “Giving up my eating disorder has been the most challenging journey of my life but I work every day towards solid recovery even if I mess up sometimes.” In conclusion: “Today I’m feeling strong. You all can do it too. It IS possible. Thank you God for this new chapter in my life. #EDrecovery #happyAF.” We’ve long admired Demi not just for overcoming her own demons, but for speaking out so often about them in an attempt to help others as well. In October, for instance, Lovato shared a couple before-and-after photos that made it apparent just how well she is doing these days. The singer also admits to having bipolar disorder, but she doesn’t want to be defined by it. She said the following three months ago in the documentary Simply Complicated, discussing her eating disorder: “I don’t want to give it the power that it controls my every thought but it’s something that I’m constantly thinking about. “Body image, what I wish I could be eating, what I wish I could be eating next, what I wish I didn’t eat, you know it’s just constant. “I get envious towards people who don’t struggle with an eating disorder because I think my life would be so much easier.” We continue to wish Lovato the best. Paul Sorvino on Harvey Weinstein: I’ll Kill the Motherf–ker!

If you've been anywhere near the internet in the past three months, then you're no doubt aware of the shocking public disgrace that is the  Harvey Weinstein sex scandals . At this point, there are so many accusations against Weinstein that it's nearly impossible to keep track of them all, but not one of his victims has forgotten the damage he inflicted. Among Weinstein's many high-profile (alleged) victims is the actress Mira Sorvino, who was (allegedly) blacklisted by the powerful mogul after he attempted to rape her and she fled . Those familiar with the situation say Weinstein effectively derailed Sorvino's once-promising career as revenge for eluding his attempted sexual assault. It remains to be seen if Weinstein will go to prison in connection with the many accusations against him, but it's beginning to look like he'd be better off incarcerated. The former Miramax chief has some mighty powerful enemies on the outside these days, including Mira's famous father, Paul Sorvino. You might know Paul as Paulie in Goodfellas , or from a number of other intimidating badass roles that didn't seem to be much of a stretch for the veteran actor. TMZ recently caught up with Paul and asked him about the Weinstein situation. “He better hope that he goes to jail,” Sorvino told the outlet in no uncertain terms. “If we come across, I think he'll be lying on the floor … somehow.” Hilariously, Sorvino's awesome threats get even more blunt from there. THG Celebrity of the Year: Who Is It?!?

It's that time of the year again. Namely, the end. With 2017 just about over, editors at The Hollywood Gossip are finally prepared to reveal our 10th annual Celebrity of the Year. But not without a lot of build-up and drama first. Let's do this down below! 1. A Tradition Unlike Any Other Forget The Masters. THG running down our top stars of a certain calendar year has been a long-anticipated and much-balleyhooed tradition since we started doing it in 2007. 2. And Who Was the Winner Way Back Then? It was an easy call, considering Britney Spears started the year by shaving her head and ended it by being at the center of one pregnancy rumors after another. 3. Who Else Has Taken Home the Honor? To name a few: Kim Kardashian, the entire cast of New Moon, Justin Bieber and Kristen Stewart. 4. Who Won It Last Year? Taylor Swift. Hard to believe, right? Considering how quiet she’s been in 2017? But the singer had to take a long break after all that went down a year ago. 5. Who are the Contenders This Year? Many think 2017 was the worst year in the history of mankind, largely because of the person sitting in the White House. So we need to start there… 6. But This Ain’t Happening Granted, Donald Trump likely had a bigger impact on 2017 than anyone else out there, but we refuse to give him any sort of distinction. Jill Duggar SLAMMED for Sharing Offensive Photo of Her Son?!

There are lots of fun things about being a celebrity. Money, fame, adoring fans … what’s not to like? As it turns out, if you just think about it for a minute, there are actually quite a few things not to like — for instance, all those strangers who feel like it’s OK to criticize you for each and every thing you do. Sometimes it’s deserved, of course, but a lot of times, haters hate just for the fun of it. The Duggars know that. They know it very, very well. To be clear, the Duggars have done several things through the years that deserve heaps and heaps of hate. That horrible molestation scandal , and the way Jim Bob and Michelle handled it? Despicable. Josh’s Ashley Madison mistakes and his admission that he was addicted to both sex and porn? Yes, sure, throw all kinds of shade at that. But a few days ago, Jill posted this photo of her younger son, Samuel, on Instagram: And surely there are things more deserving of your outrage than this. “That moment when you hear the rumble and you’re like, ‘oh no! Quick! Stand him upright before he….too late,” Jill captioned the picture. She added the hashtags “Samuel Scott Dillard,” “Sam the Man,” and “blowout,” just in case you needed a little more information. The photo is instantly relatable for anyone who’s ever spent any significant amount of time around babies. Things like this happen, and they happen often. But still, a lot of people feel like, for many reasons, Jill was wrong for sharing this. “What would possess you to post such a dumb picture, Jill?” one of her followers asked. “Slow day at the house of Derelict Dillweed?” All right, that’s a pretty solid nickname for Derick Dillard , we’re not going to lie. But things do get a lot worse. “Why the hell would you post a pic of poop coming thru onesie?” another person asked. “Just another reason showing how you ‘girls’ really don’t have a life outside of being submissive to your hubbys.” Someone told Jill that her post was “really not in good taste,” and someone else said “Seriously, it’s gross and nobody wants to see that.” For one of her followers, the picture was simply too much — this person wrote “SMDH – yes quick take a pic post it on social media. Screw the fact he should of been changed.” “Same as you did to poor Izzy bind him in a blanket let him cry as you take pics to post. Social Media comes before your kids damn Jill you are your parents!” Way harsh, right? But honestly, these people are kind of right. If you’re on social media yourself, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen photos like these — some parents just enjoy sharing things like this. You’d think that more people would understand that their friends don’t really care to see picture of actual poop while scrolling through their Instagram feeds … But obviously you’d think wrong. Still, this is all harmless, and we’re sure precious little Samuel didn’t suffer too much while his mom put off changing him for a second to take this picture. Mariah Carey on New Year’s Eve: Did She Redeem Herself?

We really should have known, people. We should have known a year ago at this time that 2017 would be a debacle, considering the way it kicked off: With a Mariah Carey performance from Times Square that was, to put it simply and bluntly, the worst thing we had ever seen or heard. We're very sorry to remind you of what transpired, but refresh your memory of the debacle below: The sound was off. Mariah clearly didn't know the words. It was a mess. Carey proceeded to blame anyone but herself for what happened, but after seemingly hiding from her transgression and not taking responsibility for her total failure… the legendary singer went out and faced the music last night. Literally. She took to the Times Square stage once again on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. This time around, Twitter did not react with laughter and vitriol. The artist performed two songs and remembered the lyrics to both. The iconic diva wowed with an impressive medley of “Vision of Love” and “Hero” and even made a quip at her own expense, telling the audience that the night was a “disaster” because she didn't have her hot tea. “I'm just going to take a sip of tea, if they'll let me,” Carey said, turning away from the crowd and adding: “They told me there would be tea. Oh, it's a disaster. OK, well, we'll just have to rough it. I'm going to be just like everybody else. “There'll be no hot tea.” Indeed, it was FREEZING in New York City. Was Mariah's performance red hot? Not really. She definitely lost a bit from her prime. But the bar was set so low to conclude 2016 that as long as Carey didn't trip 12 times on stage, she was likely to clear it. When the cameras stopped, sources tell Billboard that Carey was all smiles and gushed “I love you” back to her adoring fans. Check out the quasi triumphant return below:

Kendra Caldwell SLAMMED for Endangering Her Unborn Child?!

Life is tough for a Duggar woman. Like, real tough. You get married as young as possible most of the time, and from then on out you’re pretty much just a baby factory. Yep, if your last name is Duggar and you have a uterus, you best believe that uterus is going to do some hard time . Oh, and definitely be prepared to be judged for each and every choice, valid or terrible, you make while parenting your gaggle of kids. One of your “duties” is to make yourself available to your husband at all times — meaning if he wants sex, well, then you better get to sexin’. If you like fashion and beauty, you don’t have too many options, because you have to dress modestly and haircuts should be few and far between. (Apparently perms are OK though? Whatever, Michelle.) The Duggars believe so strongly in their fashion choices that it’s been actual news when one of the girls has worn pants . For real. Now that we’ve gone over all that, let’s take a gander at this new photo of Joseph Duggar’s wife, Kendra Caldwell, with Amy Duggar: With the rules of Duggar ladies fresh in your mind, there’s a good chance you see a few issues with the picture already, right? If you don’t though, don’t worry — Amy posted this photo on Instagram, and you know her followers were ready and willing to tear this apart. First, let’s take a look at Kendra’s attire here. Because yes, she is wearing a skirt while tubing! “Is that a skirt in the snow?!” one concerned citizen asked. Another said “It’s weird to me to be sledding in a skirt — it’s actually hilarious to me.” For the Duggars though, the skirt does make sense. Kendra’s wearing pants underneath the skirt, but the skirt’s purpose is to hide any of her figure that might have shown through the pants. Modesty, get it? The bigger issue here for most people is that Kendra and Joseph just announced that they’re expecting their first child , so for Kendra to do a physical activity while pregnant, that’s not OK. One person called this “not something you should do while pregnant,” and another said “Kendra um aren’t you pregnant not very wise.” “I’m not her doctor but I do care about a precious unborn baby’s safety,” someone else wrote. “I don’t think people should intentionally do things that could cause harm to their unborn baby.” “I would just not risk getting a injury to myself or my baby if it wasn’t a must,” yet another cautious commenter said. “I’m sure there is safer activities she can do while she’s pregnant that are fun and less risky.” “She can flip on the tube or hit a bump or tree. The thing is, and many of Amy’s followers pointed this out, Kendra is barely three months pregnant, if that. Doing some tubing down a hill like this isn’t going to hurt anything. Meghan Markle: Why Her Father is Royally Upset at Prince Harry!

Hey, so, remember how Prince Harry kind of threw shade at Meghan Markle’s family ? Apparently, his offhand comment about how well his fiancee was getting along with his family managed to enrage all of his in-laws. Including Meghan Markle’s father, who is reportedly “extremely hurt.” Recently, the Ginger Prince himself spoke about how well Meghan Markle was getting along with the royal family. Unfortunately, Harry may have gone a little too far in his praise. At one point, he said this: “She’s getting in there and it’s the family that I suppose she’s never had.” That seems like a tremendous insult hurled at Meghan’s family — his future in-laws. And it’s not going over well. Thomas Markle Jr. reports to The Daily Mail that his father, Thomas Markle, is “extremely hurt” by Prince Harry’s words. He spoke up in defense of his father’s family skills. “He dedicated the majority of all his time and everything to her.” Thomas Jr. is 51; 15 years older than Meghan. That tremendous age gap makes us wonder just how close they were. “He made sure she had what she needed to be successful and get to where she’s at today.” Having what you need to become successful isn’t all there is to family. Thomas Jr. continues to defend his dad and Meghan’s upbringing. “She’s had a really good family.” Wendy Williams has pointed out that Meghan Markle’s  family has had its … troubles, to say the least. “We were as close as we could be, as tight as we could be, that’s what we were.” Those are some interesting qualifiers for Thomas Jr. to use. “We’d get together on Christmases, on holidays, on birthdays, on Thanksgivings.” That sounds like the relationship that most people have with cousins who live out of state, not with their immediate family. “It was always somewhere, even though we lived in different parts of [Los Angeles], we still all got together.” We should probably mention that Thomas Jr. hasn’t actually spoken to his sister since 2011. That’s nearly 7 years, folks. “Obviously, she had a family. She was very privileged. She got everything she ever wanted.” It’s always suspicious to hear one person say that another always got whatever they wanted. No one can speak to that but the person in question. “We did the best that we could in terms of getting together for holidays and whatnot.” Thomas Jr. follows up his defense of the Markle family by adding that he’d really love an invitation to the royal wedding. “I don’t know if she gets to invite who she wants. But she’ll reach out if she wants me there, she’ll call me.” That seems less likely after this interview, don’t you think? “She knows where to find me. But that’s up to her, there’s no pressure.” By virtue of saying this in an interview, he’s applying pressure. But he also makes it clear that his interest in attending the wedding is hardly personal: “I wouldn’t mind seeing my little sister have the biggest wedding in the world. That would be incredible. … If my dad doesn’t walk her down the aisle, then I will.” Before Thomas Jr. talked about how neat it would be to see his estranged sister get married, another Markle had already weighed in. Meghan Markle’s half-sister clapped back at Prince Harry . Apparently, that’s just Samantha Grant’s style, as she said: “She has a large family. She always did. Our dad is amazing and completely self sacrificing. We made it so that she had two houses. How fun it was!” Look, you can put a positive spin on divorce all that you like. Sometimes, a divorce is the best thing that ever happens to a family. But just because you’re happy with the way that things were doesn’t mean that everyone was. If, as appears to be the case, Meghan has told Harry less-than-happy feelings about her family growing up, those are her experiences to share. Sue Grafton Dies; Beloved Mystery Writer Was 77

For millions of readers, the alphabet now ends with “y.” Perhaps that’s a fitting tribute to a woman who devoted her life to entertaining the masses with perplexing mysteries.  Sue Grafton, the author best known for the Kinsey Milhone “alphabet mysteries” has passed away at the age of 77. She had reportedly been battling cancer. Grafton came to readers’ attention in 1982 with the first Milhone book, A Is for Alibi . It took her five years to write the book, and sales were sluggish at first. Grafton didn’t publish the second book in the series until, B Is for Burglar until 1985. Shortly after the book hit stores, a glowing review in Newsweek forever altered the course of Grafton’s life and career: “It just undid me,” the author said in an interview. “‘Gosh, someone’s paying attention.’ Then I started doing a book a year.” Yes, from 1985 on, Grafton has published a new Milhone mystery every single year. Her latest,  Y is for Yesterday was released in August of this year. In one of her final interviews, Grafton stated that she was looking forward to completing the series: “I think it will be interesting to have a day and a week and a month and a year that isn’t already spoken for,” she said. “The last, actually, 38 years, I’ve known exactly what I’m doing next. And this is a little moment of freedom – if I can come up with a storyline for Z is for Zero , which remains to be seen.” Sadly, readers will never find out what Grafton had in store for the series’ conclusion. Her loved ones say the author abhorred the ideas of ghostwriters and adaptations, and they’ll honor her wishes to be the only one at the helm of the Milhone series. News of Grafton’s passing was made public today, via a loving tribute posted on social media by her daughter Jamie: “I am sorry to tell you all that Sue passed away last night after a two year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family, including her devoted and adoring husband Steve,” the post reads. She had been fine up until just a few days ago, and then things moved quickly.  “Sue always said that she would continue writing as long as she had the juice. Many of you also know that she was adamant that her books would never be turned into movies or TV shows, and in that same vein, she would never allow a ghost writer to write in her name. “Because of all of those things, and out of the deep abiding love and respect for our dear sweet Sue, as far as we in the family are concerned, the alphabet now ends at Y.” Tributes from tens of thousands of readers have made Grafton one of day’s top trending topics on Twitter.

Teen Mom: See All the Cast Members’ Cutest Holiday Photos!

The holidays are just about to wrap up now — and not a moment too soon, right? Sure, it's fun to spend time with family and sing songs and give gifts, but all that can also be exhausting. But you know what will never be exhausting? Creeping on the Teen Mom crew and appreciating all their precious families! Let's get to it! 1. Maci’s Kids! This insanely cute photo is from last weekend — Maci and Taylor took the kids to Asheville, North Carolina, and they cozied up in a cabin in the mountains. 2. A Visit with Santa! Well, they didn’t stay cozied up the whole time — they did head out to see Santa! 3. Christmas at Ryan’s Though little Bentley obviously had some fun with his mom, he also spent some holiday time with his father, Ryan, and his stepmom, Mackenzie. Who, by the way, is just like 11 years older than him. Weird! 4. Sending Love from Indiana Amber recently opened up about how her depression kept her from seeing her daughter, Leah, for months, but it looks like they were able to spend some quality time together for Christmas! 5. Meanwhile in Michigan … Catelynn is still in rehab, but Tyler was able to make their daughter’s Christmas special anyway! Although he said that “This is the first Christmas without Cate since I was 14” and that “it’s a little disheartening,” the bright side is that he gets to see “this little cutie open some presents & it instantly puts the spirit right back in me! Merry Christmas everyone!” 6. More Santa! Even in the middle of what really appears to be some sort of breakdown, Farrah managed to take Sophia to visit Santa! View Slideshow
